B Y M A L I N A | Release Review

Now we have another summery release in the winter with this latest drop of By Malina! These stores are pretty cute and our current version of RealBrands so it's nice to have something like this. The advertising is bright and fun and all about a beachfront holiday^
Highlights The styling is pretty specific, so I don't think this one will suit everyone, it's quite cutesy, with a 'girl next door' vibe to the pieces - the interior is also available to buy and looks pretty good!
Accessories It's a very small offering of accessories this time, no bags for starters! There are two pairs of shoes, the Pink and Beige ByMalina Heels which are a pretty standard heeled sandal which look to be pretty versatile for styling. Then there is headwear, the Isla Headband is a blue and white printed headscarf, and then there is the By Malina Beach Hat which is your typical straw boater hat which will be popular in summer =)
Clothing There are a lot of clothing items in the store luckily, and quite a few paired pieces coming in a couple of different colours - my favourite is the Lindsay Blouse which comes in a Blue Gingham Floral and White, it's a cropped button up piece and has super cute dramatic frilled sleeves^ Then there are White TShirts, the Flamingo Tshirt has a sweet pink flamingo motif while the Girls Tshirt is a slogan piece. And lastly Sweatshirts, a beach staple, the Vitamin Sea Sweatshirt is blue with flamingos while the By Malina Sweatshirt is grey with a green slogan across the chest. And then there are also co-ord sets to consider too^ The Zita Top and Rafaela Skirt is a bold emerald green skirt set with an eveningwear vibe, I like the smart style to the Top and the Skirt looks like a maxi with great options. I really do love the suit sets though, the Janice Blazer and Hailey Pants are super smart and in a great baby blue colour. The fit of the pieces is nice, the Blazer has nice details like the beaded sleeves and the collar design, the Pants are a little more casual, and I really don't like them on their own, the waistband design isn't attractive and the shape of the leg doesn't work well with it, they're a little disappointing as a standalone piece. The Valeria Shirt and Edina Pants succeed a little more for me, they're in the pyjama-style and have an amazing blue and white print to them, the Shirt is slightly oversized and the Pants have a slim leg with a slight crop which I really like. There are a few other pieces to mention, the Alexa Jeans are a pretty nice and current style, a light wash in a mom jean/straight leg style, we've had a lot of similar pairs before, but in case you missed them, these are a nice pair to go for. And there is also the Skylar Blouse which is such a pretty piece, it's got a laser floral cutout design all over, is white and has long sleeves with a frilled hem - super cute^ It looks really good on the doll, I'm excited for this piece!
Prices This release ranges from 11 to 25SD's which is a little lower than previous releases - nothing is in SC's, and nothing is SS or Royalty limited.
Styled Outfits I really focussed on summer with my stylings, and it really makes me excited for a few months' time^ First up the Beige ByMalina Heels, a versatile accessory to wear so they'll work with a lot of different colours and styles, I chose this fun skirt and a white shirt for a smart look, then paired my bag with the heels. These were easy to style and will work with many pieces for a smart summer look^ Secondly the Lindsay White Blouse - I don't typically go for cropped pieces, but this is such a cute style, I made this skirt combination work for it! The yellow is super summery against the white, such a fun styling, with shoes to match the top and glasses to match the skirt, this one again is super easy to put into a look =) And finally the Skylar Blouse, which I really like the pattern on - I went a little more casual with a light wash jean, but kept accessories matching, which I love about this styling. It's a very feminine blouse, so the jeans help to negate that a little, but I can see this styled well with pink and some very pretty skirts^
Features Sadly I've not seen very many stylings with this pieces, luckily there is one great one to show you from --kayley! This look features the Rafaela Skirt styled up very cool-ly into a dress with two of the skirts, how creative is that?! It's really made an amazing piece and the outfit looks super unique and a current stylish look. The length of the skirting looks great and the white boots are an amazing pop against the green. Like the black jacket and bag, both are stylish pieces and really add to the look well!
