Studs are taking over with Frankie Morello!

The stunning new Tribute store for Frankie Morello was released today, and I have to say that I'm really impressed with it!
The store is presented well and I definitely think the outfits are put together and styled well. The store background is simple, but really shows the basis of the collection!
The collection is pretty much based on studs, which I think a lot of people will be happy with as it makes a break from the neon blast we've had for a while on Stardoll, and stud embellishments are incredibly popular in both RL and Stardoll!

Studded Lapel Leather Jacket From Zara
Studded Boots From Topshop
Studded Collar Shirt From Zara
Normally I'm really into the Tribute accessories much more than the clothes, but with this store it's definitely the other way around, I just don't like the shoes and bags that much, I think there's more ways for me to wear the clothing items than the shoes this time.
The best pair of shoes are definitely the Futurism Heels for 12SD's, I think they'll be one of the most popular pieces of the collection as they're not too pricey and will be easy to fit into most peoples current wardrobes or style plans.
Shoes like these are also popular in real life, this pair from Nasty Gal are one of my favourite finds of the past few days:
They have the stylish heel shape, plus they have some sheer panels, what's not to like?!?!
The clothing in the store is of a pretty high quality, and the Stardoll team have done well to recreate the pieces from the Frankie Morello collection, here's just some of the RL pieces[you can click to enlarge]:

One piece from the collection that I would have loved to have seen is this:
The nude studded shirt - I just love it to pieces!!! I can think of so many Stardoll outfits I would wear it with!
I ended up buying just 5 pieces of the collection in the end[it was over 100 SD's for the 5 I bought, I don't know if I just chose expensive items, or does this Tribute store seem more expensive in general?]
These were the 3 items of clothing which I bought, for me I went for versatile pieces which would easily slide into my style and would work well with items I already have.
On top of these 3 which mainly feature studs, there are some great trends in the collection including feathers and sports luxe styled clothing[I'm gonna have to mention this as I love sport luxe since featuring it in TREND] - these are two popular trends which will most likely see a small increase on the Stardoll scene since the release of this store!

That's all for now, but I can definitely feel a Styled Outfits post in the making with that amazing studded skirt!

_frogie_

When? 15th July 2012
_frogie_ has a very nicely styled suite, it's the perfect mix of minimalistic and trendy in one! You will have seen by now that minimal suites are my favourite, so it's probably no surprise that this one is featured! I especially love the outdoor penthouse room which has been turned into a city chic bedroon - I think this is creative and a great use for the room as I struggle a lot with mine! It has definitely given me a few ideas on what to do!

When? 13th July 2012
What? Chinos
Denim Shirt
Grey Blazer
Skinny Belt
Nude Courts
Birkin
Style: Sasha always styles herself with a minimalistic, yet trendy manner, which works very well for her. She's definitely one of the top styled medolls I've come across in my 6 years on Stardoll - she also shows her simplicity through her suite style[previously featured twice, here and here]

If only I were in Paris right now ... [PartFour]

Elie Saab
Elie Saab produced their usual collection of beautiful evening wear. There was an abundance of lace and details embellished with sparkle, which all looked exquisite. The final piece was stunning, and to me seemed to have a little baroque style in its' patterning.
Valentino
Valentino had a mix of dresses and trousers, and a variety of trends including prints, embellishments and sheer fabrics. The collection impresses as usual, and this is the one that I think I'd like to see most on Stardoll. The embellished jackers and sheer shirts are seen as classics these days, and are almost wardrobe essentials for me. I also love the prints used in the collection, they're individual and look good on the clothing[see above].

If only I were in Paris right now ... [PartThree]

Giambattista Valli
There is a beautiful selection of gowns here with an array of prints and ruffles - going for a very feminine style. The colours are mainly greens and reds, but I am in love with that pale pink gown on the bottom row above - so elegant! Something gives me a very Alexander McQueen feel, which I love!
Christian Dior
Dior impresses as usual with a mix of suit-styled outfits and beautiful dresses. I'm such a trouser fan at the moment, but you can't beat those gorgeous pastel ball gown styled dresses which were saved right 'til the end of the show! I love the contrast between the dresses and the dark suit-styled outfits, and I think it's a good mix for Couture to have. I definitely love the piece that Lindsey Wixson(she appears to have walked in like every show!!!) is wearing, I think it's got a bit of a Chanel/Louis Vuitton vibe to it - however I still love it as Dior!

If only I were in Paris right now ... [PartTwo]

Chanel

I thought the Chanel show was perfect! It just looks like Chanel, without you even needing to be told, and it really takes your breath away! I really like the more girly pieces in the pinks, and they could easily be worn in any number of ways. I also just cannot stop gazing at the photo of Lindsey Wixson closing the show in that amazingly stunning dress!!!
Bouchra Jarrar
Bouchra Jaffar is fairly new on the scene, I've only known of them the past couple of seasons so they don't have a typical style(like Chanel) that we can look for - I think it's great as we're able to see new ideas and designs! The collection is pretty intimate, but I think it's really nice and all the pieces work well together. I love the use of the tan coloured fabric, and also it's combination with the leather.
