Fluffed Up

While the presence of a Christmas Calendar has been a welcome improvement, I've been a little disappointed by its offerings. 

When this Prada inspired scarf appeared on Day 15, my immediate reaction was 'eurgh'. But then I looked at it a little longer and thought 'why not?!'

Obviously, this was intended to be a much small accessory, but I think it's the sort of thing where if you're in for a penny, you're in for a pound. All those colours and all that texture needs some volume! 

I decided to keep the base pretty straightforward, with a few hints of white to break up the heaviness of the black, but went with some brighter accessories - eye-catching boots, ridiculous furry earrings and a pair of rose tinted glasses ready for the new year.

I think this look sums up how far I've come in my time as a guest writer on the Stardoll Lookbook. I wasn't one for colour or bold statement pieces before, but now, anything goes!
