I N S P I R E D B Y D I O R | Tribute Review

(Sincere apologies for the lengthy delay in posting this - life got in the way! But you can still buy these pieces in the Plaza)
The next Tribute is up, and it seriously made me so excited - it's DIOR! I am a huge Dior fan, and a Tribute release is something that I've been really wanting to see. We haven't had too many Dior releases, and the last one was in Winter 2017/2018, so it's been quite some time - let's get into this new drop:
For me, this is it, this is the epitome of what I want Tribute season to be about - it's just all dreamy and great! Now I get it that this store really just is my style and it won't be for everyone, but this release just has a complete wow-factor for me. If this was the only store of this Tribute season, I would be completely fine with that XD Anyway - this release has 3 floors packed with beautiful pieces and a total of 15 looks to choose from. As usual, let's start with the accessories, which is a huge collection. With shoes, there are 9 pairs to choose from. The DWAY Heeled Sandals come in 4 colours and they're all beautiful options in pastel tones - I won't lie, I bought them all, but I think it will be the Golden pair that I wear the most. I also really love the classic Black J'Adior Slingback Pumps, these are in such a recognisable Dior style and look amazing. These are definitely a versatile shoe. With the bags, there are 14 to choose from - what a number! And I have to say, I think every piece is a great one and they all bring classic Dior. I'm a huge fan of the Saddle Bag, so of course these styles caught my attention first. The Saddle Bag With Strap comes in five beautiful bright colours, while there's no black, I do think there's something for everyone with these. Did I go over the top and buy them all? Yes, but for me this style and size of bag is one that I know I will get wear of. For more a classic piece, for sure all eyes are on the Golden option which is a pretty tan colour, I am quite loving the Cloud Blue and Cedar Green options for the Autumn season and the Placid Blue and Blush for the Spring/Summer. I'm really excited to see what everyone does with these. Within the same 'saddle' category are also the Gray Diamond Saddle Bag and Navy Blue CD Diamond Saddle Bag which are shoulder bag options, which for me are less classic styles, but I do love a navy so I think this piece could work in a multitude of ways. There are also some non-saddle pieces available and I think these really cover a good range of styles that are also available from Dior. Most of these come in black, so super versatile and classic options. I'm such a fan of both the C'est Dior Bag and the Black Dior Bobby East West Bag, such beautiful designs and easy to wear styles. And if you missed out on the Lady Dior pieces from previous releases, then there is the Black Dior Lady 95.22 Bag which is a fun take on the original design, the little size is super cute. And the last piece I want to mention is the Medium Lady Dior Bag, which is such a pretty and light Spring/Summer piece, the pink tones are beautiful and the design combines the basket style with elegant printing in the inner pouch, just a stunning piece! And of course there are also a large number of other accessory pieces to choose from. I am delighted at the 5 new pairs of sunglasses here - the Shades all come in the same design but different colours, the Black is a classic, but I'm a super fan of the Blue as well^ The jewellery pieces are also stunning, I adore the Dior Tribales Earrings, these have fabulous detail and are worth a close look, they will work in so many outfits. And very lastly to mention a couple of belts, there is the Ornamented Belt with a thick double-buckle design and a very sweet dotted detail at the edges, and also the Belt With Fan which is also in black and is a thick in width, but has many fab details, I particularly like the little pouch with a 'D' on the edge.
And now onto the clothing, again, so much to choose from! The easiest way is to go through these by categories, so starting up - dresses and skirts. There are 7 dresses to choose from and 5 skirts, which gives a great choice. With the dresses these are mostly midi or maxi in length and in simple colours but with detailed designs. The Sparkly Dress and Leather Cutout Dress both stand out to me, they're midi in length and look great on the doll. The Sparkly Dress is a more fitted design with a partially sheer bustier top and a fitted silk skirt, really love this for the party season and I can see it being a good layering piece. The Leather Cutout Dress has such a rich burgundy colour and I really like the intricate cutout design, it really stands out in the store. For more neutral pieces then the Black Tulle Dress and Ivory Gown make good options in maxi lengths. The Black Tulle Dress is a little more daring, being completely sheer, but it does have a lovely ruffled neckline design, while the Ivory Gown is more simple but with a plunging neckline. With the skirts there are a mix of maxi and mini lengths, I definitely prefer the longer styles here with the White Pleated Maxi Skirt and Leather Cutout Skirt catching my eye - these are contrasting in colour and fabrics but are both fantastic styles which fit well with the vibes of the dresses on offer too. There are quite a range of tops on offer in different styles and colours. I really loved the look of the Sparkly Top, this caught my eye first and is such a fun piece. I like that the style is more casual but the sparkles make it fun, this will be a great layering piece for the Winter. The Lace Longsleeve Top is also super pretty, it's another sheer piece but the floral details are plentiful and super pretty. I also picked up the Silk Black Body because it's a super simple wardrobe essential and will be great for layering with all the sheer pieces on offer. And lastly on to the outerwear, of which there are only a couple of options. I think the Corset Coat which is in a trench coat style looks very interesting, it's certainly unique in design. I like the colour and it looks flattering on the doll. This will also be a great Autumn and Spring piece. Then my last-minute purchase was the Ecru Oversized Shawl which is a very minimal piece, but I feel like it's current in design and could make for some interesting styles so I wanted to give it a go!

F E A T U R E S
First up in the features is MissDark1990 wearing the D-Renaissance Collar Necklace, Black Leather Vest and Black Dior Bobby East West Bag in this very Dior-esque look, I love it^ I think the top with those huge puffed sleeves really make the look and the vest is great ontop of it. The silhouette of the outfit is fab overall. I love the little shimmery and gold touches throughout the look which is perfect for the bag =D
Next is fraternite who wears both the Ivory Gown and One Side Chest Piece which just look like they were made for each other! It's a simple styling, yet is so stylish and effective, the epitome of 'less is more'. This contrast of colours is great and the black added accessories are just the right balance. Also adore the floral belt design, that's really a fabulous and creative addition to the outfit and again adds a perfect balance to the colour^
Now for a styling by style-queen harpie who has picked the Sparkly Top and gone all-out with the sparkles, it's fantastic! These shining pieces all work together perfectly, I almost thought the vest on top of the shirt was part of the collection I'd just missed haha, the two are amazing together and I think the loose silver culottes are a great partner for the tops. Love the silver accessories too and the orange bag is a stand-out for sure!
And last but not least, Bianquette wearing the Sparkly Dress, C'est Dior Bag and Ornamented Belt ready for a glamorous time! The belt is the perfect addition to the dress, separating the bodice and skirt making them look separate. The bag is also perfect for this style of posed jacket. I love the accessories added to the pieces, these shoes in particular - so spot on for the styling. And the super elegant jewellery pieces up top, just amazing pairings =)

For me this was a tricky task because I bought so much of the release - give me a few weeks and I'm sure I'll have styled up the rest! First up is the combination of the White Pleated Maxi Skirt, Navy Blue CD Diamond Saddle Bag and Blue Shades which are all versatile pieces and could work well in a number of combinations of pieces from the release. I kept the look very simple, I love the slightly darker white of the skirt with the crisp bright white of this shirt (also Dior from a previous release). I wasn't sure how on board I was with shoulder bags like this, but I'm really loving how this one looks and in this dressed up outfit, so I will be trying the style again for sure. Next are the Black Shades, Gray To Blue Shades and Leather Cutout Dress - we all know I love to layer my sunglasses and these pairs made for a great super dark lens look! They really could go with any look, but I loved trying them out with this dress, a cutout style isn't always for me, but the colour of this leather piece really drew me in and I wanted to try it out! I'm very happy with the outcome and I love this dress for a Winter styling. And the final look here includes the Black Tulle Dress, Black Dior Bobby East West Bag and Golden Heeled Sandals and I'm so over the moon with this one, I love it so much =) As someone who doesn't necessarily wear a lot of sheer, a full tulle dress can be a challenge but I've really embraced that challenge because the dress is beautiful, it was all about the layering here and this detailed evening jacket was perfect for that. From that it was all down to accessories, and the amount in the store made it easy to find something simple yet equally stylish to the clothing collection^
