This Spring's PEARLS release had some real gems in it and I'm super excited to share my stylings. First up the Shoulder Coat which I think is the most popular piece of the release. I love yellow so this was an immediate purchase as soon as I'd seen it! This is a great Spring coat, love the over-shoulder style and I think even with the yellow colour it has some versatility to it. I couldn't resist adding more yellow to my look, so many pieces worked well with the coat but I thought this skirt was a great choice for a first look. The rest of the pieces are simple in white keeping the look light for the Spring/Summer season, and so glad I had an opportunity to use my favourite yellow sunglasses, they really are the perfect finishing touch for this styling! Next up is the Pleated Skirt - whilst the skirting is sheer I really love the design, fit and colour of the piece on the doll. I really went with the blue for the look, I adore this cardigan with the skirt in terms of both colour and style, they're super cute for Spring. The little white font on the cardigan makes for a good option to add white in the look, and I really like the outcome of that. I also really love my choice of bag here, I tried a lot of white ones, but this little blue clutch is a pretty good fit and something different for me^ The final piece is the Indigo Top which is another piece that I've seen styled on quite a few dolls. I really like the colour and the ribbed design on this, it's quite unique, but wasn't initially so sure about the shape of it - it's definitely grown on me after having styled it because I love this outfit so much! I knew I wanted to wear another navy with it and this skirt ticks the boxes for both navy and fun, it's a great Spring piece that I've styled a number of times in the past. I stuck with navy for the bag and shoes and I think they're nice balances to the look, definitely not too much but are fitting nicely with the rest of the pieces. Really so pleased with this one and I think the top looks great with a skirt, so I need to try out more combinations for sure =D

C A L L I E S P I C K S | Styled Outfits

There have been a number of Hotbuys pieces released into Callie's Picks recently (all can be found in the Plaza catalogue) and I decided to refresh some stylings for the current season to help you see if these pieces are for you! First up is the HotBuys Flower Green Skirt which was originally released in May 2018 and I've actually styled a couple of times over the years - I've not seen this worn by many other dolls though. I think it's such a fun stand-out piece, the midi skirt style is a classic but the bold mix of colours really gives it a wow factor. Surprisingly, I always find it easy to choose accessories to pair with this piece, all those floral details in pink, red, blue and yellow give a lot of choice - I normally go with pink because it gives me a chance to get some wear out of these bold pieces, these shoes for example are a great match for the skirt^ With those bold accessories I opted for a simple shirt, I love the smart style this one has and adds to the look. Next is the HotBuys Red Belt Bag which was also a May 2018 release - I loved the colour at the time and I still love the colour now! I have worn this quite a number of times over the years, with a favourite styling quite recently. It's super easy to style in terms of the design and it's fun to pair with a range of colours, this time I've gone for something quite different with the bag in choosing yellow clothing, but I really think it works and the red pops well in the styling^ I did struggle in choosing a top, I'm not sure this is the perfect top with the draped style, but the colour worked well with the trousers. For the rest of the accessories I've paired with the bag colour, these sandals are a favourite pairing with the bag and the orange earrings are really fitting the theme of the look - super cute for Summer =) And finally is the Hot Buys Voyage Big Bag which many of you may not remember from the first time around, it was released when 'Weekly Hotbuys' were around back in 2013. I've held onto it that long and have actually worn it a few times in stylings here, but not for a number of years now ... I kinda think it's time for a comeback! The bag is definitely more of an Autumn/Winter piece with the darker colours, and my look feels like that for sure. I will also point out that I have resized the bag down for this styling, when it says 'big' in the name, it really means it =D I'm so pleased with this styling, this was the piece I was most worried about getting a good look for and I think it's been successful, plus I found a number of other pieces that also looked good, so I have more options for another styling. These burgundy trousers fit the bag well but also don't overtaken the look, the bag is just a little darker than them. I decided to stick with darker accessories too, I'm really loving these dark patent boots as the bag also has a patent sheen to it and these glasses are also a piece that I never see styled but the colour works well for me a lot of the time^ To try and keep it a little Spring-like I opted for lighter colours on top, this oversized sweater is cute and I think it works well with the oversizing of the bag too. So pleased with this look!

It has been a little while since out Subcouture release - I wasn't overly impressed by this one, and going by the fact that I've not seen many people wearing these items, I guess I wasn't the only one. I did however pick up a couple of pieces to try out that I thought might work for me. First up the Pink Satin Trousers which look super cute for Spring. These look very similar in design to the Basics ones that came out a while ago, so there is a cheaper alternative with those. I love the colour of these a lot and think it will be fun to work with. I went super simple with my look using light tones to really let the pink shine, and it definitely does that! This little cropped top is super cute and really helps highlight the cinching of the waist that the trousers offer. These will look fun with a range of different colours so I'm excited to style them again. Next are the Crystal Bow Sandals which are just an adorable pair of shoes, glamorous and feminine with the jewels and the sweet bows. I really like the mule backless style for the Spring and Summer seasons so I can see that I will get good wear from these. I picked out other lilac pieces for he styling, love this jacket with the shoes so much and I think the bag makes for a perfect final lilac item^ The white base of clothing keeps the look light and highlights the pretty lilac pieces. And finally the Cat Eye Purple Sunglasses which look like a great pair of sunglasses and are definitely a unique pair in my collection. I kept with the theme of the rest of the looks for this one and loved how this lilac dress looked with the sunglasses - a simple but stylish look! I kept on the silver theme for accessories which also pairs well with the thin silver frames of the sunglasses. Love the outcome of this styling, it's something I'd wear again for sure =D

Skirted sheen

When I spotted this look from Phoebe I knew I had to feature it, looking so cool and chic^ I was quite unconvinced by this blazer when it first came out in the Mugler store, but this outfit really makes it look like a wearable piece, you just need the right style and this is it! The shiny leather-look shorts are fantastic, they're eye-catching and draw you into the outfit, but also fit perfectly with the fit and style of the blazer. The waist is nipped in and I love the A-line style the shorts add. The thigh high boots look great in the look too, the more matte texture works well against the blazer and shorts pairing. Adore the other accessories in this outfit too, the bag looks perfect, the colour is just great in the look and the chunky earrings make a great finishing touch pairing well with the gold chain of the bag =D

Within the last few months a new Royalty release came out in the Plaza, at the time I wasn't a Royalty member but have since renewed my membership so was able to pick up a couple of these pieces to style! First up is the Purple Bag which I really loved working with, it was super easy to style and I had a lot of options to choose from - so in love with my final choice, I don't want to take this outfit off at all^ The purple really pops against this white fluffy coat, but ties in well with the tiny purple buttons - it's also a great Winter combination, but the light dress really brings it into the Spring. Lilac is a great colour for the moment and this dress still ticks all the boxes even being 4 years old now! Completing the accessories was easy with white pieces to tie in well with the coat, I really love these choices, perfect for the styling I think^ And then is the Bow Blue Top, which really looks more white to me. I don't love this look as much as the first one, but I do think it's a super cute piece with a lot of potential. I love it with these trousers a lot, the two fit together nicely in both colour and fabric and make for a super cute Summer pairing. I struggled a little to find the perfect accessories, I really like these slim white heels with the outfit, I think they're perfect, but the rest needs some work! The look for sure needs a necklace as there's quite an open neckline there, I just didn't have a perfect one as I didn't think gold looked quite right with the styling. Instead I opted for some earrings, which are nice, but in necklace form would be even better for this outfit =)

L I M I T E D E D I T I O N | Styled By / / Styled By You

Ok so it's been a month since this brand new LE collection was released in the Plaza on the 18th February, and I've been trying to write a review all this time - I just can't do it! I'm not enthusiastic enough about the collection as a whole to get aa review out of it, so instead changing to a 'styled' post so I can still show off the fabulous stylings that I found amongst the members and showcase my own looks.
First up is sarah_1980 styling the Whiteblouse Man and Gold Bag in such a stylish Spring look, it's perfect for the season! These trousers are a perfect colour match for the shirt, and the styles are wonderful together, it's like they were made for each other. The belt bag is great in the middle, adding a little shape in a complementary way. The rest of the accessories are also stylish, love the glam added in these nude shoes and I think the earrings are such a fun touch^ The gold bag is a stand out finishing touch =)
Next up is harpie who also wears the Whiteblouse Man, but this time adds the Gold Earrings - this shirt is so versatile, I have some regrets about not getting it now! Love it layered over these neutral loose trousers, the two loose styles work very nicely together and I don't think it's too much because of the shape added at the waist with the belts, they look fab! I like the contrast of the black accessories with the light colours, it's something I think works well for so many different styles of outfits. The earrings add a delicate touch, as does the sheer undershirt added in the neckline, really love that touch to the outfit!
Pretty in pink with brevis styling up the Gold Earrings and Gold Bag - what a cute accessory pairing! And I'm all about this pink, it looks fabulous =D The short dark hairstyle is perfect for showing off these earrings, they really shine and I think are great with the feathering details along the trims of the jacket. Also love the thin belt added, perfect touch to tie in with the accessories. The gold bag is also beautiful agains the pink, I think it really pops well and I need to try out this combination for sure^
The penultimate feature is from HeraKowall who wears the Red Trousers and Lady Bag, really a classic pairing from this release the two were totally made for each other. The dark detailing on the bag makes it easy for some darker pieces to be incorporated into the look, this blouse is a great example! The red and white print pop well in the styling and it's a piece I've not seen styled much, now is its time to shine =) Love the black pointed shoes, the belt and the glasses too. The white of the bag then pops with the use of these blazer pieces, the light colour makes it work well for a Spring styling as well, I love it!
The final feature comes from millaxx, who styled up two looks and I just couldn't pick only one to include! First is the Silver Vest Man which I did think about buying briefly, but I know I could never pull it off as well as this! It looks fab in this open-neck trench and really adds some glamour to any type of styling. The black bra layered below is perfect for some coverage and also for adding more black in the styling, these leather-look leggings are great there^ Also love the accessories, this bag and the earrings are a great touch against the vest! Then the second look is with the Black Pearls Bag in a more street-style vibe, which I also love^ The pearls pop well against the darker colours in the look, especially this green, what a poppin' combination! The accessories are super fitting with the style of the bag, love the layered necklaces, earrings and belt with it. A flat boot like this pair never really crosses my mind to style but I think these look great in this styling, love them with the whole combination =D
Now for my own looks. These use all of the pieces I bought and I'm pretty happy with my choices from the collection. First up are the Red Trousers, which I did struggle with a little but I'm pretty pleased with this pink combination! The shirt style works really well with that of the trousers and of course I couldn't resist choosing my favourite pale pink accessories to match. I do love these red glasses with the trousers, the colour is almost a perfect match so I know I will be using the pairing again for sure! The second look uses both the Gold Earrings and Lady Bag - the earrings are versatile so I'm quite sure they could have worked in any of these stylings. I focused the look more on the bag using whites, blacks and reds and I love the outcome^ This was super easy to put together so I know this bag will work well in my collection. The little gold hardware details on the bag work well for adding the earrings to this styling. Finally is the Black Pearls Bag, which I think might be my favourite piece from the collection, it's a tough decision! I decided to go super classic with black and white for this one, I simply love it =D The texture of the bag does well to stand out against the black of these trousers, and I think the shirt adds a light but fun touch on the top half of the look. Loved accessorising this one so much, these black and pearl shoes are fabulous with the bag and of course I have a few pairs of pearl earrings to choose from which really pop against this hairstyle, I love it^
