I N S P I R E D B Y V E R S A C E | Tribute Review

Here is our second Tribute of the season - Versace! It's one we've had in the past, although not since 2014 and I think this offering is a huge improvement on our previous Versace release^ I will comment that we have also had some Versace through Young Versace and Versus Versace as well. The homepage ad is fun and shows off a lot of the different aspects that this collection has to offer =)
Highlights The store has two floors and 9 different looks to chose from. And it's a huge step up from our last Versace Tribute store^ Nothing for the guys this time though. There's quite a mix of styles for you to work with and types of pieces - overall not a bad Tribute release I'd say!
Accessories There's a real range of accessories with this release. There are 3 pairs of shoes, 2 of which are boots and one which are a classic sandal heel, the Sky High Medusa Sandals which are fairly minimal, with black colouring and gold details that should work with a lot of styles and outfits. The two boots are both well embellished, the Versace Embellished Over Knee Boots have coloured jewels and a classic currently-popular style of boot, and then the Versace Inspired Ankle Boots which come up just above the ankle, are also black, but have just gold chain embellishments. I love both pairs of boots and can't wait to style them, I think this will be the same for a lot of others too^ Then there is a small selection of other accessory pieces. One bag, the Versace Inspired Two Tone Bag which is in the box structured style mostly in white with a black flap over the top. The details on the bag are very pretty and so incredibly thought out, you should all zoom in and take a look at them! The Versace Inspired Necklace is the only jewellery, it's gold and delicate and in the choker style, I think it looks really good on the doll as well. The Versace Inspired Cowboy Hat fits well with the collection in the Plaza and is a memorable piece from the original collection. The Western Gold Buckle Belt is one of my favourite pieces from the whole release, it's minimal but has nice detailing that makes it stand out. It's something I can see pairing with so many different items from my wardrobe!
Clothing I think the release really covers the original collection well in terms of the styles of clothes on offer and I think there should be something that works for everyone there. There are numerous dresses and skirts to choose in every style available in the store, first up the more minimal black-based pieces which will be easiest for most people to style, the Ravon Corset Dress is the most minimal of the selection, it's a maxi design with a split in one leg. It also has an interesting neckline design, which I think makes it stand out in a crowd! In a midi length is the Lilac Silk Dress, which is eye catching in the collection as it's quite different and much lighter in colour and material to the rest of the pieces. The material is soft and flowing, and I like the colour, it's very pretty. This dress also has a leg slit in the design, and I like the straps at the top of it. And getting shorter, an A-line mini dress with the Marked Shoulder LBD, which comes with a gold-detail belt attached and some golden embellishments in the design along the hem. This dress has a really nice shape and a great fit on the doll - it would also appeal to me if it didn't have the belt attached, or was just the skirt, I think that would make it a little more wearable. And the final dress is even shorter, if you can even call it a dress - the Versace Inspired Blazer Dress which I completely bought as a blazer and not a dress! It's minimal in black with just gold buttons, which makes it appeal to my style. I also like the very wide neckline. In the store it's paired with the Embellished Tube Top, but I think you could very well go without anything underneath as it's not cut too low on the chest. This blazer-dress style is a popular one right now so I can see this piece being a good choice from the store! The two skirts in the store are much more colourful and print-focussed than the dresses. There's the Layered Versace Inspired Skirt which is a maxi length piece with layering of detailed lace with a pleated skirting ontop covered in a black and gold baroque-style print - it's definitely quite something, it doesn't really fit with my style, but I'm sure it will with someone =D And the second skirt is the Silk Pleated Shell Skirt, which seems very summer-appropriate to me, but the shell print is very pretty and I love the light blue colouring. While we're on this print, there's a whole look you can buy with it, the Silk Shell Bustier which has super pretty lace detailing on the hem and on the straps, the Silk Shell Coat, and the Silk Shell Stockings.
There are two bodies in the store two, providing a minimal option with the Versace Inspired Black Body which is very much as the name says but it has a cute neckline like the Ravon Corset Dress, and then something more decorated with the Feather Printed Swimsuit which has a more classic shape but a beautiful printed design on it. There is then just one top left, the Versace Inspired Western Denim Shirt, a cropped rolled sleeved piece which has light stitching and gold detailing, both of which make it stand out really nicely. And lastly the bottomhalves, two pairs of trousers which both come with their own belts and added accessories. The Versace Inspired Denims match the Denim Shirt and are in a nice darker denim colouring, and I really like the slim fit they have on the legs. Then there are the Leather Pants With Cuts, which have a slashed cutout pattern down both of the legs, which for me is a little off-putting, I would have loved these without the cuts because the leather looks good, the have a nice general fit and the length of the legs is perfect.
Prices This release ranges in price from 16 to 38SD's. Nothing is limited to SS or Royalty only, so everyone has the chance to buy everything. The range fits well with the previous Tributes that we've had, so no complaints with this one.
Styled Outfits I didn't find myself splurging too much on this one and just bought a few pieces. First up the Versace Inspired Blazer Dress which I wore very much as a blazer, it really is very short so trousers, or at least maybe tights, are kinda necessary for my style - I chose these gold printed trousers to match with the gold buttons. I contemplated a polo under the Blazer Dress, however decided to leave it clear and add a faux fur ontop to give some texture. Secondly the Versace Embellished Over Knee Boots which are such a fun piece, that I added further fun to with this fluffy coat. With accessories for this one I think there are so many options based on the jewels on the boots, I've gone with red, but I think an emerald green or a pretty deep blue would also make good options^ And finally the Versace Inspired Western Denim Shirt and the Western Gold Buckle Belt paired together. I found it a little tricky to find a pair of jeans that I already owned to match this shirt, I think this pair works ok, but it's not the best - maybe I will have to buy the Versace Inspired Denims afterall ... Anyway, I think the denim works ok with this overcoat and I kept with the gold theme for my shoes and bag, which I think helps to highlight the detailing on the shirt =)
Features And now maybe for the best bit, the features! Firstly polinapolinka, wearing the Lilac Silk Dress in this cute and quite feminine way. I like it layered with this white blouse, it highlights the straps on the dress, and also fits well with the white mesh socks paired with the funky platform heels. I like the gold jewellery added which works with the studs on the straps. And I also like the splash of red of the bag with the light lilac of the dress =)
This look is from dm2udm2u and uses the Versace Embellished Over Knee Boots - wearing a mini-dress with the boots is great to really show their design off! The tights and sheer polo are great to make this look into a more winter one. And I love this teal bag paired with the boots, plus those earrings, they're fabulous paired with the boots^
This look is more minimal, from the_chuba wearing the Versace Inspired Two Tone Bag - it really stands out against these minimal clothing, the tan of the skirt works perfectly to highlight the embellishments on the bag. The black fluffy sweater and boots then bring out the black colouring on the bag. A perfect look for a detailed piece =)
All about the denim in this look from _miskis, who is styling the Versace Inspired Western Denim Shirt and Versace Inspired Denims which just highlights to me how much I should pair the Shirt with the Jeans^ I love this furry coat ontop of them, it really helps the look be not too denim, and the colouring works nicely with the denim tone. The black boots look amazing and I like the use of the brown beret and red lip!
The final feature makes use of the Versace Inspired Blazer Dress and is from beringelalara =) This is going down the 'dress' route for this piece, and it does work out for this doll where I don't think it would work for my styling. I love it with these slouched shiny boots, and the Gucci bag is a good fit for the overall look, as is the choker necklace and the beret. Love the smokey red eye look and the use of the tied scarf as a bracelet =)

I N S P I R E D B Y S A I N T L A U R E N T | Tribute Review

Holiday Tribute season is here! Not sure how many we'll get in total, but here is our first, Inspired By Saint Laurent, bringing the latest collection which you can tell from the homepage advert which has a classic styling and chic black and white design - it grabs your attention and looks oh so chic!
Highlights So two floors for this store, and including one male look in the line up, overall it's about the regular size for a Tribute. This one is based completely off of the Spring 2018 collection of Saint Laurent, complete with a runway-based interior - I was lucky enough to see the real one when I was in Paris on the day of the show this year! I think it's a pretty good collection overall and I'm excited to work with it on my doll =D
Accessories This release has a really nice range of accessories to choose from - but the first thing I notice is a lack of bags! However when you look at the original collection, there isn't a bag in sight^ There are 3 pairs of shoes, and I think they're very seasonally appropriate and all very stylish, first the Saint Laurent Feather Sandals which really are as the name describes. They're pretty delicate and in a versatile black so easy to wear. I like the detail in the strapping across the foot, it looks elegant. Then two pairs of boots, the Black and Electric Blue Feather Thigh Highs, which do seem quite outrageous and out there, but I think actually could be pretty decent. I'm yet to buy them, and I've only seen one person wear either of these pairs since the release, but I think they could be handy to have in the wardrobe^ And there's a couple of extras to be had as well. The Wide Suede Safari Belt is a pretty nice piece, I like the colours and textures it has, but it doesn't entirely seem to fit with the rest of the collection. Then some jewellery with the Saint Laurent Inspired Diamond Hoops (two individual earrings, you get the second when you buy one^) and the Saint Laurent Inspired Necklace, both great pieces and fitting to the collection. They've got a glamorous style and are minimal on the colour front which makes them pretty easy to work with clothing.
Clothing And the main focus of the release, the clothes! There is a very glamorous vibe to the clothes, partly which comes from the original designs and partly from the pieces chosen for inclusion in this release. I also really like that there is quite a classic feel, with most pieces in black or white, which makes them reasonably easy to wear with other items. I think I will start with dresses - there is quite the focus on the mini length, which all 4 of them are. There are also a range of textures and materials used. Firstly feathers and fur with the Feather Ball Dress, which is very glamorous and stand-out, and very much a party-piece, and the Feathered Shoulder Dress, something much more minimal, with a simple body to the dress and then feathers coming out from the neckline - neither of these pieces are really my style, but I think they could look good on the right individual! The other two dresses have differing textures, the Lace Ballerina Dress is the more feminine piece focusing on a lace top half and a tulle tutu-style skirting. It's the sort of piece I could like if the neckline wasn't quite so plunging and the skirt length was a little longer. And the final dress, the Leather Corset Dress, which the name describes, is in a patent leather, which I like the look of actually, but again the short (very short) length puts me off a little ... it might actually make a really nice top instead of a dress, so that's something to consider if you like the idea of the piece! There's also a jumpsuit available, which is one of the more stand-out pieces in the store because of it's pretty colouring; the Silk Thread Playsuit is a shiny silk with blue base and autumnal-toned printing, plus it comes with a belt. The only thing I dislike would be the short leg length rather than a trouser, but that's completely personal preference.
While speaking about leg length, shorts do feature strongly in the bottomhalf choices of the release with two pairs to choose from - the Suede Mini Shorts and the High Waisted Leather Shorts. I have a strange relationship with shorts, I always think they might be a good idea but never really find they are and never really find myself styling them. So while I like the cute tassel additions on the Suede pair and the lovely shape of the Leather pair, I don't think I'd actually ever style them well enough! However I do really like the Black Classic Belted Pants - these are a minimal piece, which look good and fit the doll really well. And I think they'll be really easy to wear in a lot of different outfits with a lot of different pieces. And to go with those bottomhalves, you need some tops, of which there are 6 to choose from, and in a really good range as well =) Let's start with the two bodies that the store has to offer in contrasting colours, the black Saint Laurent Inspired Body and the white Heart Shaped Victorian Body, which also offer contrasting styles with the first a little harder and tight fitting, and the second feminine and loose with delicate frills and lace. The Lace Victorian Puff Blouse also pairs really nicely with the Heart Shaped Victorian Body with the same sort of style vibe going on with it - for me the Blouse is more wearable, but that's just my way of wearing clothes^ Also sheer and a little puff-sleeved is the Gold Speckled Blouse which I think was the first piece I saw and loved immediately from the store - it just looks so elegant and chic and I love the discrete design with frills and ruffles, just perfect! The final piece I want to mention is another stand-out due to the bold colour, the Fuschia Puff Silk Puff Blouse, a snazzy off-shoulder top with amazing texture and puff-sleeves, it just emanates cool-ness! Far too cool for me as well, I really like it but I don't think I'd be able to do it the justice it deserves!!!
Prices This release ranges from 14 to 37SD's, which I think is pretty good for a Tribute, there's really not a lot at the top end of the range. Plus there's no items which are SS/Royalty only, so everyone can buy every piece =)
Styled Outfits I think I could have felt a little more glamorous when styling such a glamorous Tribute, but nevermind, I think I came up with some good ways to fit these new pieces into my own style =) So first up the Wide Suede Safari Belt which I liked because it looks kinda like one from Fendi last Tribute season, and I didn't buy that and regretted it, so no regret this time! I was envisaging wearing it over some sort of woollen cream coat ... the perfect one doesn't exist in either my own wardrobe or the Plaza, so that idea is long gone (but maybe in the future!) I have settled for this cream sweater with this midi brown skirt, both of the tones really let the belt pop and stand out, so I think it works out well for it! The oversized fur is a good colour match, however I don't think the outfit does anything for my doll's shape! I couldn't find the perfect bag, but I do think I found perfect boots^ The second outfit uses the Gold Speckled Blouse, which is a little more sheer than I first thought - my solution was to use the It Girls Mesh Knitted Neck Top and I'm really pleased with the combination for the blouse. I stayed very minimal with black trousers, the blouse is pretty easy to work with a high-waisted bottomhalf and belt, this is one of many pairings I tried out^ Shoes were again pretty simple - I did attempt to find a bag, but none of the ones which looked good with the colour scheme looked great in terms of shape and vice versa, so no bag with this one! And finally the Saint Laurent Inspired Body with the Saint Laurent Inspired Diamond Hoops - both of these pieces are unusual options for me to choose, but I quite liked them this time round. I kept super minimal as there are enough sparkles in the two pieces for the whole look and chose smart black trousers with pointed heels and a hanging jacket plus classic Chanel bag. This outfit works, my eye is drawn to the Saint Laurent pieces immediately so it does the job nicely =D
Features And now so many features for you guys to check out - I found so many good ones, it seems this collection is a fan favourite =D First up is andre1396 wearing the Leather Corset Dress - and wearing it very well as a dress! The polo makes a great base layer for the dress and makes it more wearable, as does the addition of these thigh high boots which cover most of the skin. Plus they have a nice velvet texture against the leather. I love the mystery that they round hat adds covering most of the face with the veil too^
A couple of looks next with the Fuschia Puff Silk Puff Blouse which does seem pretty popular! France25 wears it with the Saint Laurent Inspired Diamond Hoops and pairs it with a rather fabulous fuschia eyeshadow look. The black pieces in the rest of the look make a solid grounding for the fuschia, and I love the neck tie and draping length to the ankle. And not only has the Fuschia Puff Silk Puff Blouse been styled here, there are some fabulous additional stylings in the background =)
Then also in the Fuschia Puff Silk Puff Blouse is polinapolinka going for a more causal styling choosing a light and ripped denim, completely different but also very much working well for the piece! I like the little additions to this styling, like the red belt-bag, the quirky shoes, and the very fitting makeup look - it's perfect for the style!
Moving on to something a little more subdued from juliette116 with the Lace Victorian Puff Blouse in this layered styling. The sleeves look fantastic contrasted against the velvet black vest ontop of the blouse, they really stand out. Love the dusted pink trousers and all those accessories chosen, they suit the styling well =)
A second styling with the Lace Victorian Puff Blouse comes from MissSierr, but also adds the Silk Thread Playsuit and wearing it as a shirt - I think it looks good! It layers nicely with the jeans, which is a little surprising to me, so maybe I should give this a go. The lace looks nice in the deep V of the playsuit and matches with the white jeans well. Love the black accessories, I think them paired with the white really make the look pop!
rob_sef7 has indeed been wearing a lot of black-based looks recently and this is a good one to add to the archive^ Featuring just the Saint Laurent Inspired Diamond Hoops, this is a great way to sell them! They look fantastic with the black shirt and silver glittered maxi tulle skirt, plus with the red lip, that is a great beauty choice for them^
Now something bright for you to look at, from Marta-43 wearing one of the Saint Laurent Inspired Diamond Hoops and also the Electric Blue Feather Thigh Highs - I am so glad to see someone wear these boots, and in such an amazing way! I think that this gives me hope that they really can look great, we all just need a little time to think about how to style them =) I also love the earring combination, they're a stylish pairing.
And finally from this style-queen pandaribbon! Four great looks featuring pieces from this release. I really quite love the first look with the Lace Victorian Puff Blouse layered on top of this blue dotted dress. The orange stands out so well, such a great combination. The second is also pretty nice combining the Heart Shaped Victorian Body with the silk pink floral skirt, they're a cute pairing that's inspiring me to buy the body^

P R E T T Y ' N L O V E | Release Review

The end of October brought us a pretty great release - a new floor in Pretty 'N Love! I've been feeling quite underwhelmed by the releases lately so I've really been hanging on by a thread waiting for something good to write about and I really think this is it! The homepage ad is sweet and fitting for the store and our MSW winner fits in the advert perfectly =)
Highlights This release is of the same size and quantity as is usual for similar stores, I think because I like so many of the pieces it feels like it's much larger! Being in the Pretty 'N Love store, the items definitely lean to the feminine side in their styling and colour, so these pieces might not be for everyone, but they sure work out well for me!
Accessories There are quite a small number of accessories with the release, 2 pairs of shoes and 2 bags but also a pair of earrings, the Aquamarine Rose Quarts Earrings which weren't originally released when I took the pictures for the post! I really like both pairs of shoes, they each offer something different to your doll and look - the Fishnet Toe Heels are delicate and dainty and come in a pale pink with white straps, making them pretty versatile. Then the Pink Metallic Loafers are brighter and bolder and offer a flat more casual option to your wardrobe. I like both pairs and am looking forward to wearing them! Of the bags I definitely prefer the Crocco Crossbody, for me it's more wearable than the Travel Beauty Box. The size is really nice and the colour is a versatile one so I think it's a winner^
Clothing There really is such a range of clothing pieces to choose from in this store and they really are taking a clear fashion-forward approach with this release making most pieces easy to wear and versatile rather than for store advertising, which is great! I like so many pieces in the store that it’s hard to know where to begin! There are quite a few co-ord pieces in this release, the Floral Silk Bomber and Mini Skirt, and the High Waisted Lace Pencil Skirt and Lace High Neck Top - I quite like both of these sets, their sweet pieces and I think they'd do well in terms of versatility when styled individually as well, particularly the High Waisted Lace Pencil Skirt but it's definitely the Floral Silk Bomber that I'm wanting to see some great stylings from =D While we're thinking about skirts, there's three more skirted pieces, the bright Pink Just Lace Dress which really lives up to the name with the bold colour and the lacy style, the Pink Suede Mini Skirt which I don't think is so mini, but I think it's got lovely length, fit and colour and being in SC's it's sure to get some attention, and lastly the Silk Wrap Dress which is just a beautiful slinky silky piece that I think is so dreamy! I feel like I can really feel the texture of the dress and I love the shape and draping of the piece on the doll, it's a total winning piece^ Lastly in bottomhalves is some denim - the Lace Detail Classic Denim which are alright but don't stand out too much to me. There are two tops in the store, both delicately and intricately designed, firstly the Bow Beaded Top which I'll admit I did kinda just glance over initially but now on second glance I'm a little tempted as it could add a lot to minimal trousers, and then the Lilac Embroidered Blouse which is just stunning, it has great fit and design on the doll with the ruffled cuffs and neckline then the beautiful floral embroidery on the front - I think this will make many beautiful outfits! Lastly the sweaters and outerwear which I'm grouping as there are one piece in each of the categories but they come in two colours, both a pink and a neutral cream. Firstly the Ivory Soft Mohair Sweater and Mohair Baby Pink Knit which are great pieces and I couldn't resist snapping up both. They're cropped in the body but have voluminous sleeves which stand out and are a popular style. The polo neck also keeps them within current trends and with the current season. And the outerwear, the Pink and Ivory Long Crepe Coat, and I mean really - how can you ignore this piece?! Such a beautiful set of coats with pretty and elegant shape and design and sure, they have a higher price tag in the store, but I can see just by looking at them that they will get great wear and they will both show excellent versatility =)
Prices The prices of this release range from 9 to 23SD's. There are a couple of pieces in SC's (which really are quite nice!) and then also a piece which is Royalty only, so on the most part, it's accessible to everyone! I did manage to spend quite a small fortune on the collection though which is my own fault for buying so many pieces =D
Features So many awesome looks have come out of this release and I think there will be many more to come! Firstly, a handful of looks with the Ivory Soft Mohair Sweater - clearly a winner with the Stardoll public =) Here is a cool casual styling from -Lady_Sweet- going relaxed with these loose denim jeans with rips. I like that the rips definitely feel minimised by the use of the jacket wrapped around the waist. The denim tone looks really nice with the ivory of the sweater and the accessory use is perfection - these heels are awesome and add a classy feel, the earrings are cool and the gold fits in smoothly. Super job =D
Next up is ajenkam, additionally wearing the High Waisted Lace Pencil Skirt and these two pieces look good together. I like the different accessories which really make the look stand out - especially these glittery boots which are one of my favourite pairs of shoes^ The oversized clutch also catches your eye and I like the size with the oversized sleeves of the piece =)
And the final look with the Ivory Soft Mohair Sweater is from Mia1435 in this autumnal based styling. I love the sweater with the reds in this knit skirt, and the shape of the sweater looks good against the tight fit of the skirt. The brown boots look good too, the tone suits that of the sweater and I think this will be a great combination for many others too^ And also the red lip! That's pretty perfect =)
Now for a styling from Green_Lady_M wearing the Lilac Embroidered Blouse in this stand-out styling! I love the blouse style with these trousers, the loose slim fit of them works with the blouse and the classic style accessories suits the blouse really nicely. Loving the addition of the unusual lilac hat too, it's great and fits the outfit and style so much =D
This next look is spot on with the autumn trends and it's brought to you by Sindragosa featuring the Silk Wrap Dress. This look is completely selling the dress for me - it looks great layered like this and the dusted pink colour works incredibly well with the brown tones underneath, especially these high boots. The contrasted pink metallic bag is also a great addition and I love the tone against that of the dress, it's perfect and I'm sad I don't have this bag myself^
And finally a couple of looks with the outerwear of the collection. Wearing the Long Crepe Ivory Coat is neon.swift in this sleek and shiny styling. I love the matte effect of the coat against the leather trousers and the slouched leather boots, they are fabulous at the hem of the coat! The rest of the look is minimal in the sweater and other accessories but I think it works well and shows off a great style for the coat!
And lastly is polinapolinka wearing the Pink Long Crepe Coat and also the Mohair Baby Pink Knit in this cool and bright styling, but bright in a different way than the bold pink pieces that are also in this collection! The orange suits the pinks really nicely and it really does catch your attention and draw you in. The pink hat matches nicely, the chunky necklace fits in well and the white accessories really stand out on their own as well. I love that the makeup look is perfectly matched to the style as well^

C A L L I E S P I C K S | Release Review

Last week brought another Callie's Picks release, themed on vacations this time which is definitely seasonally appropriate. I don't see anything special in the homepage advert, somehow these Callie's Picks ones are always a little lacking in that aspect, but at least I'm going into it with a blank slate of opinion about the release =D
Highlights This release was actually pretty big for Callie's Picks, with two quite packed floors filled with summery styles for us to chose from. At first glance I'm seeing lots of old Hotbuys and older Tribute pieces, so I think it will be easy for people to find items they might have been looking for here =)
Accessories There are actually quite a lot of accessory pieces with this release, which is a nice surprise. In shoes there are a whopping 7 pairs on offer! There are 3 pairs which are from previous Tribute stores which I already own, but would highly recommend - the Dark Slip On Heels are in the popular mule style and I have really enjoyed wearing them, they are versatile and are great Spring through Autumn shoes. Then also from Fendi the Black Orange Heels and Nude Peach Heels which I love the style of and it's nice to see two colour choices on offer. They are versatile shoes which work well with both dresses and skirts and trousers. There's also an old Hotbuy, the Tan Cork Wedges which are a great summer staple - I like the tan leather in summer and they make a good shoe for a light outfit. The rest of the shoe offerings are also wedge/platform styles, although I don't find myself quite so enamoured by them, the Soil Heels are a good deal being quite a desired piece and in SC's, and if you're looking for a little inspiration I styled some looks a few months back for the spring^ There are 4 bags all from previous Tribute releases and some of which I think have been in Callie's Picks releases in the past - not everything tempts me this time but I am thinking about the Tomato Lemon Clutch, a small piece with a perspex material and bright coloured keychains, and then also the Round Bolt Purse - you can't get me away from white and gold for too long and I like the over shoulder design of this piece. There's just a couple of other pieces in the accessories category, the most notable addition being the Tahitian Pearl Choker.
Clothing There's such a mix of clothing pieces in this release, almost too many random pieces with little link or theme which is a little of a let down for me. One positive is that there are a lot of older pieces there so newer members will be quite happy to get some of them. The white pieces in this release definitely stood out, it's great for light bright summer stylings - and there were quite a few pieces that I used to own and then sold, like the Thespian Chic Blouse and the White Out Shirt. But I also like the look of the Pure White Skirt and also the Chiffon Long Cardigan which I think is a fab beach-style piece. Not so many dresses in this release, but the pretty green Woven Halter dress does look quite good and I'm a little tempted by it - the shape is flattering and I think it could make a nice summer styling with just the right accessories =) The separate tops and bottoms definitely include some fantastic picks, I'm really liking the bright colours of the Tangerine Tie Blouse and Ruffle Crop Top, which I already had, but this is a bargain if you're wanting it - I find it easy to style and it's a great fun piece to try out! The Fantasy Print Skirt is a cute piece, and the colours are pretty great, combined with the right other pieces, it could stand out really nicely for summer despite the slightly darker tone. But if you're not wanting something quite so printed, then the Navy Miniskirt is a good direction to go in - it's got a good fit and is a nice basic to have in your wardrobe.
Prices This release ranges from 6 to 30SD's and there are quite a few pieces available in SC's. Plus there are no SS or Royalty only pieces. I think things are pretty well priced and there are some great bargains to be had!
Styled Outfits Despite only buying a few pieces, I had a lot of fun and chances to be creative with the white pieces! They are easy to fit into my wardrobe and I'm happy with what I bought =) First up the White Out Shirt and Pure White Skirt, the shirt of which I owned the first time it came out and then sold it. I stumbled upon placing them together and really liked how it worked in this smart-ish summer dress styling. I was easy to find some accessories to match, it definitely needed the belt to make sure shape was achieved, but I like the use of orange. My second look also uses the Pure White Skirt and I really like this one, having the long cami over the top is great for summer and I love the looser feel to the outfit compared to the first one. I made use of the black lines on the top for the accessories and I love the smarter feel that they add to the outfit. And lastly the Thespian Chic Blouse, another piece I owned the first time around but sold! I wanted to give it another chance with this release and I'm glad I did as it makes a nice change to the usual white blouse I wear =P I like the sleeve length and style and think they will look pretty in a lot of different looks. Decided to add these Fendi Culottes and I'm really pleased with the pairing and also the accessorising I did - shoes, bag, belts and a necklace, that's a lot for me - but I love the combination and really like this style on me! Overall I don't think I could be happier with the outcome of these styles, they just feel super summery and very 'current me' which is all I could have hoped for - very pleased with this release =D
Features I didn't see a huge number of people wearing this release really, but luckily I did see one really good one! Polinapolinka is wearing the Net Dress, a piece I considered but passed over as I don't think it's for my doll, but it sure is for this one! I love how it's been combined into the style and used more as an extra and not the main clothing item. It looks great with the white trousers beneath and the tee-sheer-sleeve combination on top. I'm also super impressed with the belt styling, it looks great with the meshed dress =D

I N S P I R E D B Y F E N D I | Tribute Review

Finally finally onto the FENDI Tribute review! The store was released last week as the first Tribute store of the summer season, in fact I'd quite forgotten about the Tribute season so this was a very pleasant surprise for me! The homepage add is pretty cute and fluffy - from the sweater and bag shown, to the pink hair and the bubbly background =D I'll also apologise for how long this review is!
Highlights I do think the advert gives quite a different impression of the store than I get from the store itself - I see much more of a high-fashion focus with a lot of key pieces and trends, with less of a 'softer' feel that the advert had. But I like it anyway, I think the Interior really gives a great atmosphere to the store and a great setting for showing off the pieces which all have a range of styles. There's also a male look included, which I think is a nice thought.
Accessories Not a huge range of accessories, but I think the amount is right for the size of the store and the pieces have been chosen and designed well for us. There are two pairs of shoes, although I'm wishing for a female pair of the male choice, the Fendi Inspired Thigh High Boots and the Pom Pom Biker Boots - I definitely prefer the first pair, although they're not typically me I still bought them and have enjoyed styling them so far! The red tone is great and I think it will be perfect for autumn, I also like the pointed toe style and the heel height. There are three bags, the very sweet and classically-Fendi Fendi Inspired Mini Handbag with fur and sweet colours, then the bright popping sweet Floral Backpack, something which seems quite popular in the RL fashion world too, and lastly something a little darker, the Peek A Boo Faux Fur Bag which I am yet to make up my mind about - it has some great detailing and I like the fur texture, but I'm just not sure about how I'd wear it, share your thoughts in the comments! And then there's a small selection of other pieces to choose from, and I think they're all pretty nice. The Red Hoop Earrings Left and Right are pretty cool pieces, I love a pop of red and these are stylish earrings without too many bells and whistles. I can see them working out in a lot of different stylings of looks. Then there are the Fendi Inspired Lunettes which are minimal gold-framed glasses which are an easy purchase for a lot of people as the shape is versatile and seems to suit everyone. The Fendi Inspired Waist Belt is pretty cool, when you look close up the design is detailed and I like the retro style that it has. I haven't bought it yet as I'd like some more time to think about if I'd style it or not, but I think I'll end up getting it once the store is on 'Last Chance'. And last but not least, although it is my least favourite accessory, the Karlito Faux Fur Stole which seems quite a winter piece. To me it just comes across as quite bulky and I can't easily see my doll wearing it.
Clothing Such a range of clothing pieces and styles in this release and everything looks pretty great with great transition from RL to Stardoll. The pieces definitely give off an autumnal vibe with their tones and styles, but I'm happy to make a few pieces work right now - autumn should be exciting for styling!
Dresses There are 5 dresses on offer in this store, 2 on the more casual side and 3 which are pretty dressy and elegant and long. I find myself leaning towards the more dressy over the casual pieces - the Fendi Inspired Sweatshirt Dress is a nice minimal piece which I can see a lot of people liking for the street-style aspect, but it's not really something I would wear. Sure it does really yell 'FENDI' with the print on it, but I think with Tributes you kinda want something specially designed and this doesn't seem all that intricate. Speaking of intricate, the Fendi Inspired Crochet Tunic has all that and also great colours, which do entice me, but on my doll it looks like a badly oversized sweatshirt that I want to tuck into a skirt or some trousers but I can't! So the dressy dresses win out - the Glencheck Mesh Dress, Fendi Inspired Net Dress and Fendi Inspired Layered Chiffon Dress! They are all of a similar midi length (I love that^) and there's a lot of sheer and mesh panelling involved with these pieces. The pieces are all pretty different, which gives you a good choice for your own style. I like both the checked pattern and the halterneck style of the Glencheck Mesh Dress I think it's pretty flattering, although there is quite a bit going on with this dress in terms of things added to it, with lots of black panelling and quite a busy mesh sleeve. The Fendi Inspired Net Dress is probably the most basic of the 3, with a simple black body and the pretty mesh shaping ontop, which works great for the style but does introduce some challenges for when wanting to wear it as a more everyday piece - I do think there are some work-arounds, it will just need a little creativity, because the dress is stunning overall, I love the shape of the cut and of the sleeves but also the slightly fuzzy quality to the mesh itself. And lastly, the Fendi Inspired Layered Chiffon Dress which is the piece I've been contemplating most to purchase! Love the style, love the colours, I think it suits my doll pretty well, I just worry about how much I would wear it as I do think the square design at the neckline adds some bulk to the shoulders and that is a factor which puts me off a little - so undecided, help me!
Tops I planned these little sections poorly as there only is one top in the store, although I will include the sweater here too - I love both these pieces! The Crisp White Blouse stood out to me immediately and I was gonna purchase no matter the cost! I love white blouses and this one has a great fit on the doll, a versatile and classic design, but also a little sprucing with the cuff pattern which looks great too. This is the sort of piece I love getting in Tribute stores as it's one I know that I will wear a lot and that will last throughout the seasons in my stylings - I'm sure you guys all have equivalent styles that you feel the same about =D And then the Fendi Inspired Pom Pom Sweatshirt which is just such a fun and Fendi piece to have! Love the furry designs that have become well known as Fendi and this really plays on that a lot. The shape is slightly oversized yet fits well on the doll and the colours are pretty cool and fitting together and with the basic sweatshirt itself.
Bottoms There are also not many bottom pieces to this release, but the two items there are, are again, pretty great =D So there are the fitting-with-the-rest-of-the-release Fendi Inspired Tweed Pants. These are a pretty trendy piece, I can't see them working well all the time, but I think they are pretty suited to autumn and winter styles. I like the slim shape of the leg, although the length sometimes seems a little awkward so the overall fit could be improved, but I found it alright to get around that with other pieces in my styling. Then the completely different Silk Culottes which I am just dying over! These are amazing! The cornflower blue tone is pretty and one that will work well all year round, the style is very current but one that I love and will happily dress my doll in a lot, and the design of them is great - the length and pleats are fab. I hope others love these as much as I do =D
Outerwear And lastly the outerwear pieces, of which there are three items and all quite different. Firstly the retro-looking Fendi Inspired Faux Fur Jacket which is a cropped piece in brown autumnal tones ... bit of a theme with the autumn! At first I didn't like it, I think it was down to the cropped shape, but the more I look at the store I am a little tempted to try it out because the red in there is very pretty. Then also in red, and a lot of it, is the Fendi Inspired Red Structured Coat which is just the definition of an autumn coat and I doubted how popular it would be with more structure than fit, but I was proven wrong by the number of features it is in below! Colour is great, but I'm still unsure on that fit! And the final coat is the Fendi Inspired Glencheck Blazer, which is in the tweeded pattern but also has some furry cuffs, which I kinda wish were an extra you could add if you wanted as they put me off the piece as a versatile item for my wardrobe. It has a nice fit though, and I think it will suit a lot of people, just those cuffs!
Prices The release ranges from 7 to 35SD's and nothing is limited to SS/Royalty which is awesome^ I think the prices are right for the pieces, although on a whole it is quite a pricey collection. As we know it's Tribute 'season' we can expect more so it's definitely easy to wait before purchasing pieces if you're not quite sure due to the price!
Styled Outfits I found the pieces from this release really easy to style, and I found it easy to pick pieces that I liked and definitely wanted from the store too. First up is the Crisp White Blouse and Fendi Inspired Tweed Pants which I styled very minimally with black and white accessories. Initially I liked having the sweater tied around the waist, but now I'm not enjoying it so much ... second thoughts, oh well! Secondly the Silk Culottes and I really had about 20 options for them! I stuck classically with this white shirt, showing their smarter side. Again used black and white accessories, I like that these culottes do work well with both heels and trainers, so many bonus points for them =D And lastly the Fendi Inspired Pom Pom Sweatshirt which I really just bought because it looked pretty fun, but actually enjoyed styling it - just thinking it will be much better in autumn and winter than styles for now! I picked out the green from the sweater to continue in the trousers and I really like the outcome of that combination. I also picked from the colours on the sweater for my orange clutch bags and pink shoes, something different but I quite like it and think there are a lot more options like this!
Features Again a post with a ton of features! So many amazing looks with this collection - I look forward to seeing what else can be created with these pieces =) These are just in alphabetical order, so no particular way^ First up we have beringelalara wearing the Fendi Inspired Tweed Pants and the Karlito Faux Fur Stole which does look rather good as a belted piece than a stole! I love the casual aspect that the hoodie adds to both the pieces. It definitely shows the versatility of the trousers. The pointed boots look great and fitting in the style, and I like the slight addition of glam with the Fendi Inspired Lunettes =)
I'm glad someone is wearing this Fendi Inspired Glencheck Blazer, and it happens to be gostosa23, but I still think it's just not for me - I could never pull it off like this! I like the lightness of it contrasted with the black velvet trousers and all the heavy black accessories. Keeping the neck clear really draws your eye to the blazer I think, and this does a good job of highlighting it as a piece!
Next up is one of the first stylings with the Fendi Inspired Red Structured Coat and this is from larissa-Goldie, and this styling includes a whole lot more - the Glencheck Mesh Dress, Fendi Inspired Thigh High Boots, Karlito Faux Fur Stole and the Fendi Inspired Tweed Pants which come in handy as tweed sleeves^ It's a lot, but it's a really nice use of all the pieces coming together and I definitely don't think it can be classed as over the top!
This muted neutral styling is super sweet from marina495 wearing the Fendi Inspired Crochet Tunic and it's pleasantly surprising =) It looks great with the beige tones, they highlight the lighter colours in the dress and I think it's actually been used really well - completely not a piece I'd go for but I'm pretty impressed! And those accessories, gotta love some more designer flair!
And next up is Mia1435 wearing the Fendi Inspired Thigh High Boots in quite a boho styled outfit with this printed off the shoulder minidress. The red is definitely in there with the dress, so it ties the pieces together but those boots hold the show completely! Also really like the addition of the fringing in the dress and the bag, very cute style =)
Then the Fendi Inspired Pom Pom Sweatshirt gets some attention from Mr.famous.com, which I actually thought I would see being more popular than it has been. This style is a classic for the sweater and the loose black trousers look great. Love the casual element confirmed by the sneakers but questioned by the amazing red-filled makeup look. The oversized striped shoulder bag is a fantastic stylish choice =)
Another styling with the Fendi Inspired Thigh High Boots this time from mreninhalinda in a much more grungy-casual style. I really like these jeans with the boots, the colours and textures are great and I wanna wear that combination next^ The boot texture has been followed through with the coat and I like that, plus it adds a different pattern to the look but doesn't make it look too busy!
More of the Fendi Inspired Red Structured Coat in this next styling from polinapolinka and isn't this something else?! I like the use of the clashing orange but it totally works - that big belt is a great piece for the coat fitting right in the waist line and the lips look great. I love that even more is added with the silver boots, bag and earrings - I know I couldn't pull it off on my doll, but on this one it's awesome^
Tate really was the one who started selling me the Fendi Inspired Faux Fur Jacket. It looks lighter and pretty cool in this almost-retro casual styling. It looks good with the light jeans but absolutely incredible with this bag, another combination I wanna steal =P And it fits with the background well too, plus the Fendi Inspired Lunettes look oh so natural^
And the final styling, also with the Fendi Inspired Red Structured Coat is from ThePerpetua, who also includes the Fendi Inspired Thigh High Boots and the Red Hoop Earring Left in this cool retro style. I like the addition of the white, it almost looks slimming on the waist, but it also adds a brightness and lightness different to the orange before - I really like it! And I feel like the fur on the cuffs is emphasised a little more here too, not sure how/why, but again I like it =)
