The Spring/Summer Original Future release brought us a mix of new pieces to try out - this isn't one of my go-to stores in the Plaza but every so often has a couple of great items that I must try out! And there was one piece that really did well in this release, the Oversized Trimmed Jacket, which was the piece I knew I had to have too^ First up is a feature with the Oversized Trimmed Jacket styled by AngelinaVer and looking so chic! The black trim works perfectly with the trim detail on this pair of trousers, like the pieces were made for each other. The oversizing of the jacket with the loose sleeves works great with the loose fit of the trousers and the leg split, it makes for a lovely light Summer look. The accessories are simple but perfectly fitting, I love these sleek heels and the Chanel bag, so stylish =D

I was very excited about the Oversized Trimmed Jacket as soon as I saw it and knew immediately how I wanted to wear it, this skirt is another perfect choice for it with the trim detail. I really kept the accessories simple, it works well with these pieces, and picked black to really emphasise the trim. Colours will also look fun with this piece so I'm looking forward to trying out some different things with it another time. Then I also picked up the Metallic Long Boots, I thought these looked super fun and I really liked the colour so thought I would try them out. Feeling inspired by the first outfit I knew I wanted to wear white with these boots and I'm so happy with the final outfit. I opted for this long flowing skirt and think the boots pop so well against it. I love the oversized layering with this shirt and then added some glamour with the accessories. Love the colour of this bag with the boots and the jewelled handle made a perfect opportunity to add some jewelled earrings. I'm so pleased with this outfit, the boots definitely turned out better than expected so I'm excited to style them again =)

Original Future isn't one of my favourite stores in the Plaza, but in the recent release there were some fun Spring/Summer accessories that I had to try out - both the Green Purse and Green Sandals are super trendy and look fab on the doll. This is definitely a shade of green I'm lacking in my accessories collection so I'm happy to add these to my wardrobe. I planned to style these pieces both together and separately, but ended up loving them paired and found it easy to put together three looks with both - and I think they make for super cute Spring/Summer stylings! The green really pops off the pale yellow of the blazer and skirt combination in the first look, it looks super smart; plus I love these earrings, such a perfect green to match the rest of the accessories. The other two looks both make use of white and green and I think the accessories stand out well against the green. The shade is a relatively close match which I think works nicely. The colours in the print of the skirt add detail, and I loved adding this puff-sleeved top, it adds even more fun to the look. The second look is more a fun casual styling to the smart work vibes of the third outfit. It's super simple but I think it's an effective stylish outfit^ I'm quite looking forward to wearing these pieces more this season =)

Last week brought us a new Original Future release, it's one of my least favourite stores, and this release made no exception to that. I did however pick up one piece which stood out to me in the release - the Brittany Design Turtleneck, which would have been a perfect staple for the winter months. It does make a pretty good layering piece, and as a bonus, it's in SC's, so very affordable!

It's a pretty basic piece, so my looks are quite simple, I found that I was covering it up a lot more than intended to show if off, so I tried to keep the looks more basic. It works in both dark and light outfits, first up I paired it with these wide leg trousers which have quite a similar texture vibe as the top, they really have a lot of detail in them to add to the top. The black jacket keeps it simple, with the wide opening helping show the top. Accessories super simple in silver, but I found that one of the best colours to work with the top. For the second look I tried something a little smart, love the pleat on these white trousers and the matching white blazer keeps the top popping out against the bright colour. I chose a pair of boots I don't think I've ever worn before, but with the grey glitter these seem a good fit for the top, I'm so glad I tried them out! Also a grey bag against the white, and black sunglasses tie in very nicely. I'm super happy with these looks and they really tell me this top will make a good versatile piece^

While I'm not always a huge fan of Original Future, the latest release had one piece that is perfect for me - the Gold Boots! These are awesome, the perfect boot style for the autumn and in an excellent tone of gold, they tick a lot of boxes^ Spotted starsuepretty styling these up, they look great against the navy, that's a winning combination for sure, and I love the layering of the pieces, the trousers and the fringed skirt look super cool and really caught my attention. This gold top is a perfect pairing for the boots, I think they'll be great in many other combinations too^ For my styling I stuck very neutral, choosing nudes, which gold works with very nicely. I like the smart styling for these boots, they don't have to be reserved for super fun looks at all. The little gold details are added in the shirt pin and the bag which I think helps keep the attention to the boots - I'll totally wear this look again =D

We've recently had a new release of Original Future! Not typically my thing, but every so often I might find a piece or two to style up - I did this time^ So a stylings post rather than a review, but I can see it's been quite popular across the site with people being pretty creative with the pieces.

First up the features, ajenkam is styling up the Transparent PVC Jacket and the Silver Y Project Earrings, the pieces are perfect together and I love the beautiful pastel pairings in the look. The lilac is great with the white which really comes across as a glittered silver, and the pink pop of the belt bag is super fun. The plastic booties are spot on for the look and the earrings are the perfect finish!

And then millaxx is styling the Green Stripe Tracksuit in this sleek look! The colours of these trousers are really great, they're kind of the perfect green and the white stripes make an obvious choice for clothing combinations - this is exactly what I would have done! This white denim cropped jacket is perfect with them, the oversizing is a great style pairing and the hem length is great with the fit of the trousers. The bag is perfection, I love it as a choice and the green is an exact match =)

So this time I bought the Neon Ribb Top - I think it's kind of unexpected for me because I'm not a huge neon fan, but I liked the fit of this, and I've seen a few people wearing neon styles that I think I could manage! I'm sticking with safe choices using black with this piece, I thought it was green at first glance, but it's almost a green-yellow cross when styling it up, I love it with both of these neon handbags, which are more yellow based, but it's super fun with the leopard print in the first one^ Keeping the rest of that outfit simple makes it work really well with just the top and bag focus. For the second look I went a little more adventurous and tried out a skirt, I think it works, but it's not my favourite, I do love the accessory choices with this look though =D I have to say upon looking back now, I am quite liking the look of the High Waisted Bodysuits in Pink and Red so I may be making another purchase^

We Wear Hotbuys N O V E M B E R | Knitted Degrade Sweater

The penultimate HB today - the Knitted Degrade Sweater from Original Future costing 19SD's. I like the dip-dye colour effect, it works nicely on this sweater and I think it's a trend we've been yet to try in the Plaza. I've tried a few on in RL and I quite like them, so I'm happy to have this nude toned one for my doll! I was quite happy once I tried this on, as the fit of the sweater is really nice on the doll, it's flattering and I like that it's more fitted than loose which I think works for the style of it =)

Definitely a cute sweater that I plan to wear a lot this winter, I think it just needs a little time in my wardrobe to figure out what pieces and colours work best with it as it sure was tricky^ Don't let the colour put you off buying it though, it has great potential and I'm excited to work with it more! B A G G Y M A R L S W E A T E R

This Styled Outfit look includes a piece I've owned since it's release but not styled since then! This is the Baggy Marl Sweater from Original Future which came out over a year and a half ago. I liked it initially but struggled to put it into looks - being a sweater and being sweater weather I thought now was a good time to try it out again.

I did struggle putting together these stylings, I really had to look through my whole wardrobe to be happy with the pieces and even then I think there are ways to wear this sweater better =) I do typically go with at least one black or white clothing look, which is tricky in trying to style a winter look with a blue, not navy, light blue piece. I did get them both in, but I do think the sweater looks best in my middle look with these spangling navy trousers! The pointed shoes keep some class, and actually I like this styling, I think it works and it's just missing a little bag - but I couldn't find the perfect one. And then obviously tried out my classic combinations making good use of boots to keep both the looks seasonal. With the white I went light with these lace hemmed trousers, pairing them with a shirt under the sweater and also a blazer, maybe going a little over the top, but it was a bit all or nothing! I did keep the accessories blue, which I'm happy with and I really like this style with the sweater. Lastly my black-based styling which I think is the one which works out the least, this shade of blue - I gave it a good go with the layering, but overall this one isn't working out ... 2 out of 3 isn't bad but I think someone must be able to work with this sweater better than me^

We Wear Hotbuys S E P T E M B E R | Mini Aviator Sunglasses

Ahh here it is, our final September HB! These are the Mini Aviator Sunglasses from Original Future priced at 12SD's, which I think it pretty reasonable for the piece. I found in the advertising, these didn't really stand out amongst the other HBs on offer this month, sure they are quite stylish and they look minimal enough to be versatile, but I don't see them as stand out pieces. I like the metallic frame, I think that brings a nice touch to them so we'll see how they get on!

These were an easy style, I thought, I had an idea from the outset so that definitely helped, but you can see they work in a range of styles and with different colours from our looks (although black seems to be a good safe choice^). I think these might be worth having, but if you have several other similar pairs there's probably not a need to add these to your collection. And remember to vote in the poll too:

Still catching up with released but getting there - here's our next one, Original Future! There's always at least a few easy to style pieces in the sporty style of the store so I'm sure the same can be said for this release. The homepage advert seems fitting, but also doesn't really stand out much, so may make this release an easily forgettable one.

Highlights The release size is the usual for a normal Plaza store with one floor of clothes and accessories in the usual casual-sport-cool style that Original Future has! At first glance I see a mix of colours, styles and items so I think it should be alright in finding something that works for you and your own style =)

Accessories A small but quite decent range of accessories in this release. There is one bag, the Cotton Mini Backpack, which isn't all that mini, but I love the muted red colour. I just wish it had a shoulder strap or something to wear it more like a backpack. Then there's a hat, the Fisher Cap, which I could take or leave really. And then two pairs of shoes, or trainers I should say more specifically - the Black And White Skate Platforms which are like platformed Vans really, then the more sporty Minty Fresh Kicks which are a very popular style on Stardoll and I think will go down really well! I love the fresh colour and I think it will look great with many colour combinations =)

Clothing So the clothes have a sporty feel to them, as you would expect from this store, although there is definitely a fashionable aspect to them. There is also a mix of minimal pieces and more designed pieces. In terms of minimal are a pair of shorts, the 70s Mini Shorts and then 3 crop tops all in the same style but a range of colours, Fuzzy High Neck Top Orange, Pink and White which gives you a good range to work with for styling with it I think. While discussing crop tops lets also mention the Green Future Top, a cropped sports-style piece with wording across it. The shade of green is nice but the piece is just not quite for me. Continuing with the tops theme are 3 sweaters, one individual and two pieces in different colours - the Blue Cropped Sweatshirt definitely stands out with its vibrant colour, and there's the Burgundy And White Sweatshirt and the Camel And Black Sweatshirt, which are in colours which are trendy right now and fit right in with popular styles on Stardoll - they fit really nicely too so I think these pieces will both work out well =) There's just one jacket in the store, the Quilted Green Jacket which I liked the look of initially but I think it looks just a little too oversized on my doll, anyone else have this problem? Of course a resize is doable, so this is probably a minor thing given the nice texture, colour and overall design. There are 4 dresses in the release, again two the same in different colours and two additional ones. The Cream and Burgundy Tied Sweatshirt Dresses are pretty cool looking and I really liked the style immediately - they're modern and cool and have a minimal edge to them without coming across as plain. Then there's the Original Rose Sweatshirt Dress which is quite cute and the Original Future Tshirt Dress which is minimal and very casual, and while it's not something I would wear I think it will be popular. Last but not least some trousers - the best piece in the collection I think, the Cotton Culottes in a pretty pink with a cool burgundy stripe down the side. These are just awesome and so stand out - not sure if it's the pink or the culotte style I love more, but they are just perfection =) 

Prices The collection ranges from 8 to 20SD's, and I think everything is very reasonably priced. There are a few pieces in SC as well plus nothing is limited to just SS/Royalty members, so that's always good =)

Styled Outfits Now for my looks! I was surprised at how easy I found it was to come up with these styling, I thought they might have been trickier pieces for me but I was wrong^ First up the Cotton Culottes which I've used both colours of for my outfit going with a burgundy top and and pink bag - I think it was easy to get away from the sporty-casual style that they are and I was glad of that. And my second styling is with the Cream Tied Sweatshirt Dress, which I actually resized a little as I'm still not sure about the oversized-ness of it on my doll^ But it was an easy piece to work with, I liked the style contrast with this leather jacket and from that adding black accessories was a walk in the park. There are definitely more creative ways to style this dress, but for me this sort of styling works really well =)

Features I've got some very cool features lined up for you guys from this release - it seems it was a popular one =D Firstly is LoveShaper wearing the Original Rose Sweatshirt Dress and styling it, although simply, very chicly^ I firstly love the addition of the StarDesign belts, they add some shape to the look and a cool vibe to the dress. The rest of the accessories are fitting, I love the heels and also the somewhat make-shift bag, the belt added to it looks so cool =D

And then we have frankieiz12 wearing the Burgundy Tied Sweatshirt Dress in this stylish yet slightly quirky way - those shoes and socks just come across as super cool, they're an unexpected addition to the burgundy but they sure make the outfit stand out and catch my eye! Love the long sleeves also added to the dress, it really makes a good style =)

And our usual fashionista pandaribbon with 4 looks from this release! I really quite like the first look, with the Quilted Green Jacket paired with these pompom trousers and I think is highlights the versatility of the piece well, and also the last look with the Cream Tied Sweatshirt Dress layered well and with some cool additions like the meshed hem and some cool pastel pink accessories^

And last but not least Vgnails wearing the Blue Cropped Sweatshirt in this very sporty look yet worn chic-ly with the heeled boots and the sunglasses tucked into the waistband. This is a classic style for the Original Future store and it works really well, also love the bags, they fit the style and trend nicely and are spot on for the outfit!

We Wear Hotbuys A U G U S T | Suede Gold Ring Mules

I'm glad these are an early Hotbuy as I've been so excited to get them into my suite! These are the Suede Gold Ring Mules from Original Future and priced at 17SD's and completely worth every penny^ I absolutely love the currently popular mule style of shoe both in RL and in Stardoll, I think they're a style which really does work for everyone! These are in such a beautiful navy shade, it's something a little different but also pretty stylish. And I love the inclusion of the also popular ring detailing - the gold rim is fab, and the detail makes these shoes stand out well =D

We've all had some very similar thoughts with these shoes, but one thing is for sure and that is that I love these and cannot wait to really get into styling them - I hope some of you guys do too and I can't wait to see what you come up with! Remember to vote in the poll as well:

We Wear Hotbuys J U L Y | Poison Ivy Cross Over Sandals

And now we are at the penultimate Hotbuy of July! These are the Poison Ivy Cross Over Sandals from Original Future costing 16SD's, much more reasonable that some other pieces^ These are a cute summer heeled sandal in such a fresh colour, I think the tone is nice and something that's different to try out plus there's a super cute glitter to them which I just love! Overall I think they're pretty decent, but naturally I'm up for giving anything a go =D

I think these are just the sweetest sandals and I wish we'd had them back in June so I could really have made use of them all summer! I had a great time styling these and I think there's a lot of different options for them =) And remember to vote in our poll too:

We Wear Hotbuys J U L Y | Tassel Bamboo Earring

It's been a few days now so here is our next Hotbuy, the Tassel Bamboo Earring! It's from Original Future and costs 9SD's. And it's also another of the 'one-earring' trend, which naturally still frustrates me! The piece is quite nice, the tassel isn't too big so I can't see it being too overwhelming to an outfit. The colours are also pretty neutral making this a pretty versatile accessory - lets see if that translates in our styles!

Just two looks today, and we've both gone for similar styles. We were both a little 'bamboozled' by this one, although it's nice, earrings in pairs are also very nice and we both agreed we'd prefer if we could have two of them, after trying out some looks I think two would work so much better for this one! We Wear Hotbuys J U N E | Denim Cut Off Long Shorts

And here we are at the final HB of June! These are the Denim Cut Off Long Shorts from Original Future costing 20SD's, which I think is expensive for a piece like this. They're not the HB I was most looking forward to, in fact they're not a piece for me at all, the style is just something I wouldn't go for and they don't work on my doll at all. I like the ripped hems, but unfortunately that's about as far to liking this piece as I can get - I'd love to know your thoughts on these too, so comment below!

I have to admit, I do like the look I came up with, but I think it would be hard for me to wear these shorts in another way - but there are plenty of boots like this for you to come up with slightly different combinations with, so there's always that^ Anyway, I don't think this is a HB I'd recommend, apologies for my lack of enthusiasm, but not everyone will like everything! We Wear Hotbuys J U N E | Yohji Yamamoto Inspired Sunglasses

And here's our next Hotbuy already - the Yohji Yamamoto Inspired Sunglasses. These are from Original Future and cost 13SD's. I really liked these in the spoilers, I think the deep purple colour came across as super attractive, but once I put them on my doll I was a bit disappointed - sunglasses shapes can be quite hit or miss on me and these were a bit of a miss sadly, however I'm still hoping I might get a burst of inspiration and be able to combine them with something else!

Purples are a stand-out winner with these sunglasses and I really found a good way to make them work for me^ I absolutely love this styling that I came up with, I think the bag is like the perfect choice for them =D And remember to vote in our poll too:

We Wear Hotbuys M A R C H | McQueen Inspired Sneakers

Next HB today, and another pair of trainers, the McQueen Inspired Sneakers! These are from Original Future and cost 14SD's. For me initially I preferred this pair over the platforms so I'm interested to see how these fare on my doll! I like the little blue on the heel, I think it stands out quite nicely and will really emphasise on the colours included in the look. My only little doubt is how the big velcro straps will look in styles whether they will seem a little tacky or not.

After putting them on, I don't find the velcro straps a problem really, you don't notice them so much, do you? These definitely get my thumbs up and I can say for sure that I prefer these over the other pair of shoes this month! I know we do get quite a lot of white trainers in the Plaza but I think overall these will fit in nicely with everyone's white trainer collection =D And vote in the poll too, I think it might be a tough one:

We Wear Hotbuys F E B R U A R Y | Girl Power Sweatshirt

I've been super excited to get to this next HB, and it definitely lives up to my expectations! It's the Girl Power Sweatshirt from Original Future and it costs 21SD's, which I think is completely worth it =D The powder-pink shade is fabulous and pretty versatile in pairing choices I think. The 'Girl Power' slogan is perfect - I'm all for a bit of that, especially listening to some Cyndi Lauper Girls Just Wanna Have Fun! - but it's also small enough that you could cover it easily if you wanted to hide it away.

I mean just look how we've all worn it so differently?!?! This piece has so much potential! I literally could have come up with 10 different looks for it just this once, it's crazy! Anyway, enough of my proclaiming about this piece, vote in the poll:

This week started off with a brand new floor of Original Future, which is a store that often comes with some great items, mostly to my surprise as I don't think it's my style but it must be! The store usually has good casual pieces to style, which is exactly what I'm feeling like right now =D And again great to see real dolls on the advertisement!

Highlight So this was the regular one floor release with mostly clothing pieces, and everything for the girls. Overall there isn't a particular theme but a casual vibe definitely comes from a lot of the pieces in their relaxed fit and cool colour choices - I'm definitely looking forward to going through this store =)

Accessories As usual, there are minimal accessories released in this collection, a few pairs of shoes and some other small items. I'm immediately attracted to the Silver Sneakers, I think they are a fab style and will work for a lot of different people and in a range of looks. I'm also quite tempted by the pink of the Platform Hot Pink Sandals, even though I'm unsure of the platform sole, I think they could look good in a lot of outfits. The Bandana Headband is a very sweet piece, and I also think the Graphic Oversized Scarf will be a popular choice, especially for winter and street-styled outfits =)

Clothing The focus is definitely clothing-based, and I like the loungewear feel to a lot of the pieces in this release. I also really like that there aren't a huge number of prints or complicated pieces in the release, most things are one colour and pretty minimal. The little Original Future diamond logo seems popular this time with 4 items donning it on the front. For me the Cropped Black Turtleneck and Lycra Turtleneck Crop Top seem like good pieces to have as they seem the most versatile and could definitely be used for their polo neck under a range of other tops and sweaters, while the maroon Casual Two Tone Sweatshirt is more of a wear-alone piece but great for loungewear looks. Also good on the loungewear front are the Ripped Hoodie and Track Pants and I think they could be reasonably popular pieces. Outerwear in this release focuses on the puffer style with both the Green Puffer Vest and Black Puffer Jacket, initially I didn't like these pieces so much, but with just a little time, actually I think they're not so bad as I first thought, and maybe I'll purchase them to style at a later time =) For me the rest of the pieces are quite 'stand-alone' and don't fit so much into one type or style of clothing. The Ribbed Crop Basic Top is a fab minimal piece and is versatile, I think it's a good investment style piece and buying it wouldn't be wasting your money. And lastly two of the more colourful items in the release, the vibrant Mock Polo Knit with good shape all over and fit on the doll, and the Quilted Sage Mini Skirt which has such a beautiful colour, but I think the fit on the doll could be a little improved.

Prices Costs of this release range between 10 and 25SD's, with most items placed nicely in the teen range. There's also an SC choice as well as no items limited to just SS or Royalty members. I think the prices suit the items well and nothing seems overpriced at all. 

Styled Outfits I ended up buying quite a few pieces from the store and they really excited me about styling them from the get go, which is always great^ I styled all of the pieces I got, and I'm very happy with the outcomes. Firstly the Quilted Sage Mini Skirt and Silver Sneakers, not really a typical pairing, but both looked good with this silver polo and so that was that! I like the minimal style for it, but I look forward to a little more time with the skirt to try something adventurous. In the middle is the Mock Polo Knit and I took advantage of the oversizing to use fitting pieces like skinny jeans and boots. The black really lets the orange pop and look quite inviting. And lastly the Ribbed Crop Basic Top which so far seems like a great basic and I loved pairing it like that with black clothing. It works well with the waistcoat as it really draws the eye to the top-half of the look and therefore to the piece itself =D

We Wear Hotbuys J A N U A R Y | Graffiti Skirt

Our second clothing HB today, and it's the Graffiti Skirt from Original Future and it's priced at 19SD's which is on the more expensive side for this month so far but about average for comparable pieces in the past few months. Going into this HB, I'm very much on the fence about it - I love the shape and the fit on my doll but I don't know how much I like the print itself ... I think it's something that could be versatile though, so check out our different styles!

I think this one could work ... I had to style it quite quickly tonight but I did find at least several varied tops and shirts that looked pretty decent, definitely just needs the benefit of time this HB! And vote in the poll as usual:

A styled outfit post today, this time featuring Original Future's Original Future Sneaks. These are a pair of shoes I've had a long time, and although I styled them almost 4 years ago in my mini "Trying Trainers" challenge, I've not actually worn them since - totally ridiculous! Although in my wardrobe they're on the "Show More" page way at the end so they don't really get a fair chance^ Today I'm changing that!

Now I'm not sure my looks are ideal for the trainers but I did take 3 different angles for the looks including a pink emphasis in the second one. I really like the shimmering Metallic Hayden Jeans from Nelly with the trainers, I definitely like that combination. I stuck with the silver tones with the polo and fur on the leather jacket and I think it works out alright overall for the trainers =) A whole lot of pink in the second look, again it's something which works out but I don't think it's perfect, maybe I think with a different pose or something it might look a bit better. Went a bit smarter for my final look with a lot of fitted white pieces and choosing this neat baby blue blazer - probably not the best combination but I think it was worthwhile considering it!
I don't think I've convinced myself very well with these looks about the trainers, but what do you guys think - a keeper or not? 

We Wear Hotbuys D E C E M B E R | One Of A Kind Earring

I can't believe the final HB of 2016 is here! It seems very early in the month but these last days will no doubt be filled with plenty of other special things^ This is the One Of A Kind Earring from Original Future costing 15SD's, and I think it's a pretty good fit for this months pieces, especially the Lilac Tassel Bracelet! It has an almost glittered effect on the fringing, and I love the golden detail at the top, I'm pretty happy with this piece, so lets see our looks:

We've each taken a different direction with this one, and varied between using just the one earring (as it's sold) or going with two, there's definitely plenty of options there for this HB for you to choose between =D Vote in the poll too:
