Y O U N G H O L L Y W O O D | Release Review

This week brought us our new Young Hollywood release to the Plaza, this time inspired by the recent MTV VMAs - it's been a while since I've posted about Young Hollywood, but it's also been a while since I've felt inspired or really liked pieces in this store. Loved the original releases then for me it lost it's way a little, anyway, onto the collection:
The store has 3 floors and a total of 18 looks - 1 specifically male, 15 that are specifically female and 2 that you can buy pieces to fit either a male or female doll. Now I don't love the whole collection, but I do think it's a pretty good one - and I'm here for those TS looks^ The first floor is a bit of a mixed bag, I don't so much like the costume-style looks, but there are some good 'uns here too. Love the Taylor Abduction Dress and Taylor Black Boots look, completely fantastic, for me it's just perfect. The colours on the dress are perfect for Autumn styles and I'm looking forward to seeing how people style this one. I also really like the look of the Chappell Brown Dress, the brown colour is beautiful and perfect for the season, and the fabric falls stunningly, I think this will make for some amazing stylings. The second floor is a mix of dark and light options. For me the two 'bookend' looks stand out the most - the Paris Silver Chain Dress, Paris Crystal Choker, Paris Silver Clutch and Paris Silver Heels make for one stunning look, I'm really feeling that these accessories have been what I've been missing and needing in my wardrobe. The Dress also fits the doll beautifully. Then on the other end is the Flo Milli Butterfly Dress, standing out for being a mini length. The design on this is super cute with the butterflies, I think it's been really well done and will be a popular piece. On this floor of course I also love the Taylor Plaid Corset and Taylor Plaid Skirt combination, which you can also pair with the simple Taylor Black Shorts - I was only able to pick up the Skirt but I think this is a set that works well both together and separately. I think the pieces have been made really well and will be fabulous for Autumn stylings. The Benson Midnight Jumpsuit is also a tempting piece, available for both male and female dolls, I love the blue glittery fabric a lot and I think the style is definitely a unique one. On the third and final floor their are lighter colours, which really catch my eye in the collection, I'm a big fan of the shades of pink and I think all the strapless pieces look good and manage to stand out in their own ways, despite being surrounded by other strapless options. The Eiza Pink Dress in particular stands out, the shade of pink is beautiful and I really like how the shimmer comes across on it. I think the Anna Flapper Gown also really stands out, it's simple but beautiful and I love the classic design to it, both the jewelled and feather details look great.

F E A T U R E S
First up in the features is France25 who wears the Alan Tartan Scarf in such a creative way, this piece will work well for both male and female dolls clearly, and also works well with pieces other than what it's styled with in the store. I love the colour choices here, the scarf is the perfect way to blend everything together and it really is the focal point of the look^
Next up is liability who has opted for the Taylor Plaid Skirt, really highlighting it's flexibility in being able to be styled alone - I really love this outfit! The skirt becomes super voluminous with the one paired beneath it, and I love the off shoulder styling with the cinching belt, looks fantastic! Plus the accessories are great =)
Third up is Claudentia who styles the Megan Teal Skirt in such a creative and fun way - I tried this skirt for so long and I'm just not quite there yet with it, but this?! Perfection for the piece! The colours in the skirt are great with the mixed pattern of colours on this fun dress, really these items were made to be worn together. The golden accessories are also fab, perfect finishing touches to the styling!
The penultimate feature for this pose comes from Leiona_- who is wearing the Dakota Champagne Pearl Dress. This is a great outfit to show here because it highlights how well gowns can be paired with other clothing items for an outfit, which is something I often find really difficult to do, but here it's perfect^ The colour on the dress is a great match with the selection of tops used, I especially love the metallic vibes added there. Plus the accessories are great too =)
Already on the final feature, style queen harpie styles up both the Camila Lace Dress and Paris Silver Clutch and looks absolutely fantastic =) The layering of dresses is absolutely perfect here, and I think it's a perfect styling for the mostly-sheer lace dress, it looks incredibly classy and I wanna wear it immediately XD I especially love the sheer top added, I think the sleeves really add something extra. And of course the silver accessories really pop, love it^

S T Y L I N G S
Now onto my stylings - I do have a few other pieces to also still style, so maybe see them on my doll soon. But here, first up is the Taylor Abduction Dress which I had a few ideas for as soon as I saw it and I'm so glad one of them worked out. I love the slight burgundy touches in the dress print, so I used those in the rest of the look. This mesh top worked much better than I imagined as a good Autumn layer for the dress, and I really love the accessories I picked out, I think this bag and these boots are perfect together and with the dress. I love this outfit so much! Next up are the Taylor Plaid Skirt and Taylor Black Boots, of course I couldn't resist pairing them together. I tried a few different things with this skirt, but overall a look with shorts won out and I'm really happy with the final outfit. The skirt feels like a warmer piece so I added the polo and think it works well. Couldn't resist yellow accessories and of course had to be Dior^ Really love the combination altogether here. And the final piece is the Nischelle Peach Satin Corset, which is such a cute piece, but doesn't really match the Autumnal vibes of the others, so it's a more Spring/Summer styling with this one - but I think it looks super cute. I love an all-peach ensemble every once in a while and this piece adds to my collection for that, and it fits in perfectly, it pairs amazingly with this skirt, I really love them together^ Accessories were easy with this one, more peach! The only thing I'm missing for this one is a good necklace, I tried out quite a few but nothing was quite right.

Y O U N G H O L L Y W O O D | Styled Outfits

Another styling catch up - this time a couple of Young Hollywood releases. We've had quite a few releases in this store since my last post on a YH release, I'm sorry I haven't really kept up to date with them especially as it's been a lot of gowns and red-carpet looks - however it's not been all gowns, I've been lucky enough to pick up some jewellery items and had some non-gown clothing items gifted from friends, so it's finally time to show those pieces off!
First is the set of Beyonce Jacket, Beyonce White Shirt and Beyonce Mini Skirt - this set is just so cute, I love the checkered pattern and the overall fit of the pieces, plus the dark colour, it's super unique. The shirt of course is a standard white shirt but has a bow included, I did try other shirts with this jacket, but this specific one really was perfect in the neckline detailing. As soon as I'd seen the set I knew I wanted to try these boots with it, and it worked even better than I was imagining. I added white accessories to pair with the shirt and I'm really happy with the colour balance. Then are the Margot Bronze Coat, Billie Eilish Shirt and Tyla Ivory Crystal Sandals which I'm very pleased with the colour pairing of the coat and shoes, these really are perfect together. I knew I wanted to stay with neutral tones and this beige slip skirt was a nice balance between the white and brown, I think it looks super sleek. Accessories were easy to match the clothing, I love this detailed brown bag in the look, it pops nicely against the tan of the coat =)
Now is the Billie Eilish Skirt paired with the Florence Snake Necklace. I did struggle a bit with this skirt, I was just so undecided about how I wanted to wear it - I think I quite like this glammed up outcome, but think there's probably a better way out there for styling it. The tweed pattern has a silver hue so I used this in my additions to the outfit, I think this coat is a fun touch, and the necklace fell into place with this one. And last but not least, the Billie Eilish Blazer, Anya Tiffany Necklace and the Becky G Shoe - I did try this look with the previous skirt, but it wasn't giving quite the vibes I was looking for, so glad I instead tried out these trousers because I love the look a lot! The necklace fits well in the neckline of the blazer and the shoes were the perfect simple pair to add that balance to the look. These three pieces were so easy to work with so I think will feature in future looks for sure^

Y O U N G H O L L Y W O O D | Styled Outfits

Apologies it's a bit late, but finally getting to styling the pieces from the Young Hollywood Golden Globes inspired release. I was very kindly gifted a number of pieces from a friend as I got to the release a little too late for any pieces to be left - hopefully I do the items justice! I have two more dresses left so maybe you will see them styled on my doll soon. First up are the Barry Jacket and Barry Necklace - firstly I adore this necklace, it's a beautiful delicate piece and I know I will wear it a lot. The jacket is definitely a unique piece, but I love the combination of the bold red and the checks - I think it will make for a lot of fun looks. I think I went fairly simple with the pieces for this look, but I wanted it to be about making the red pop, and that works nicely. The white clothes make a good base, but the blouse brings in a little gold pin at the neckline to add to the necklace and details on the jacket, then I added more red accessories - I had really forgotten about this bag and I think it's absolutely perfect here^ Next up is the Elisabeth D Dress which has such a pretty neutral pink/stone colour vibe to it, and I think that suits my doll really nicely. I didn't really want to hide any of this gown so I focussed on accessories - the only thing I could not decide on was a necklace, I just didn't have anything that fitted the colour perfectly, however I do think I found great earrings in this pink and gold pair, and I also think this McQueen bag is just absolute perfection with the dress, these two pieces were made for each other! And the final piece I styled up is the Julia Dress - I am all about those all-over sparkles^ I wanted to try out more of an 'outfit' with this piece, and I think it was a good option for it because I have quite a few silver sparkly bits to add. I think that while this top wasn't a perfect tone match for the silver, I think it still works well, and the two tone silver idea is really growing on me! Accessorising was easy apart from the bag, I didn't want to go too over the top, but I still needed something that fitted, I think I've found a good happy medium with this choice, but I think I can still do better^

Y O U N G H O L L W O O D | Styled Outfits

The start of the regular awards season has of course brought a brand new Young Hollywood release. I used to love the original Young Hollywood releases, but the focus on red carpet events mean the pieces aren't ones I use often. I always have high hopes for the accessories and maybe some separates and luckily this release brought a few options for those! First up are the Orange Heels, which I think may have been a super obvious choice for me as I love an orange accessory^ These were super easy to style and I know I'll get plenty of wear from them, plus they don't need to be solely for the red carpet, they look good in a more dressed down look as well. This little chain bag has a perfectly matching orange shade, and I think I balanced the orange well across the look. This is a super easy styling to wear, and I'd definitely wear it again. Next is the Anya Skirt which I'm really impressed with, love the colour, design and fit on the doll. And it really works nicely as a more casual piece. I did try to style it with some other yellow items but found they could be a little much, in the end this white-based look with the skirt as the stand out piece is a perfect way to wear it. It was super fun to accessorise and I think it will be a great piece for this Summer. And finally, the Wing Collar Tuxedo Shirt which didn't stand out in the store, but when I looked through the catalogue to check I hadn't missed anything, I found this and really loved it at first sight. It's a smart piece but I really liked the longer length to it, I don't think it's one I would wear tucked very often. As soon as I put it on I knew I wanted to wear a midi skirt with it and tried on almost every option, I'm so pleased with the combination I've chosen^ This skirt is blue, but the sheer aspect makes it look paler along with the use of the white boots beneath it. I kept the accessories very plain and I'm really happy with the outcome =)

Y O U N G H O L L Y W O O D | Styled Outfits

It doesn't feel too long since our last Young Hollywood release, and here is another already! I didn't go so crazy with purchasing from this collection and just stuck to a few smaller pieces, and was very kindly gifted an item by a friend^ So here are my stylings - unintentionally all very dark! First up are the Vanessa Earrings, I've really been trying to get more earrings into my wardrobe to improve my choice of colours and styles available. These ones are super glamorous and elegant, I really love the detailed hanging design to them, plus I don't have a lot in silver. These earrings deserved an elegant look to match, and I think I've not done too badly. I love including this top, I've worn it quite rarely, but it's a fabulous piece, I think the long straps making the body of the top lower work well with the dangling of the earrings. The trousers are fitting without drawing attention away, and I mixed the rest of the accessories with a simple shoe and a sparkling clutch - a pretty nice combination =) Next up are the Black Pumps which aren't just plain black, they also have a sparkle to them which definitely makes them stand out. I knew I wanted to include a little silver somewhere in the outfit to balance out the shoes, and I think this top does that very nicely with the silver leopard print. I kept with a simple skirt, opting for a shorter length to make sure the ankles were clear letting the shoes be seen. Also stuck with simple accessories, but I think both the bag and glasses are fitting touches to the outfit, think I am just missing some simple small silver earrings though, those would be a perfect last addition^ And the final piece, the Kendall Top, which has surprised me by being my favourite! This stands out because it's relatively simple yet has a lot of detail, I loved the meshed lining on top of the base of the piece, I think this little detail with the edges really stands out when the piece is worn on the doll. And I really like the small sparkly embellishments too. I didn't have any particular idea going into the styling of this piece, but I love the outcome. These trousers really help the embellishments pop and I think the leather style looks super cool with the top. Again simple on the accessory front so that the clothing combination is the focus, but I simple adore these shoes with the look, they're the perfect simple yet stunning pairing with the trousers. So so much love for this look =D

Y O U N G H O L L Y W O O D | Styled By You / / Styled By Me

It feels like it's been a long time since a Young Hollywood release, but perhaps I'm just feeling that it's been a long time since such a large YH release - this really brings it back to the good old days with the size of this April release! This release has a lot to choose from in terms of gowns however is lacking in accessories which I'm disappointed about. I did however pick up a few pieces, and the collection sold out quickly so it went down well. Now for some features^ First up Claudentia styling the Gaga White Gown very elegantly and glamorously - completely ready for that red carpet interior! These gloves are a beautiful addition to the gown, they fit well with the style and the colour-match is pretty seamless. The silver bustier component of the dress is perfect for adding silver jewellery, and the choices here are perfect. The choker necklace is discreet and the larger earrings are fabulously bold, I love it =D
Next we have Mia1435 who wears the Gaga Green Gown which is such a stand out piece on it's own, it really doesn't need much added. The colour of this is stunning, I'd buy it in more wearable styles for sure. In this instant, it's perfect for this interior, the look fits like a glove. The darker bodice of the dress does look almost black, so the patent black gloves are fitting very nicely. The chunky necklace looks dramatic and I think is a great choice for the dress, and of course the hair and beauty look is stunning, super dramatic^
And the final feature is from neon.swift wearing the Zendaya Skirt - this is relatively similar to the original styling, but makes good use of another shirt, there are plenty of ways to recreate similar vibes to the original and this is a perfect example! The blue of the shirt is very pretty with the silver, I think the two fit together well. The black oversized bag is an interesting choice, I'm not sure it's what I would have chosen, but I think it does look good and doesn't overwhelm in the outfit. Love the simplistic hair and beauty styling, I think that really works nicely for the styling =)
Onto my own stylings now - and surprisingly I bought more than one gown, who have I become?! I'm really someone who doesn't wear gowns but there were too many to resist with this release I think XD I did also pick up the Lashana Shoes which are the super classic black pointed stiletto heel - I decided to focus with the clothes for these stylings, but I'm sure you'll spot the shoes in future looks! Anyway first up is the Gaga White Gown. I did try to be creative with this and add some sort of top, but nothing I tried was perfect, I guess I'm not creative enough for that! I do very much like my outfit though, and it's such a beautiful gown that it would probably look good even on it's own. Silver accessories were a must, I really love the two pieces I've picked, these earrings stand out especially against this darker hairstyle, and I love getting to use this bag, I think it's a perfect piece for this gown! Next is the Christine Gown which I thought would be another one that would layer well, I don't think the outfit has gone entirely to plan but I'm glad I tried it out. The deep rosey pink is a stunning colour and I love the glitter accents throughout, so next time I think it would be better to highlight those accents in my clothing additions, the white is a little too bright, but I do think this dress works well as a skirt. Accessories however are pretty cute with this one, just maybe not together. I love this glitter clutch, the colour is perfect for the dress, and same for the necklace, but I don't think the two pair together well - so a work in progress with this second look! And the final piece is the Cynthia Cape which is the piece I had most fun styling, it was great to work with =D The oversized style didn't really put me off at all, I was just thinking of all the fun red pieces I had that I could pair with this and knew I wanted to also include something white to really make that red pop! These Dior shoes are a perfect colour match, I will be repeating this pairing for sure, and I love these glasses with the look too, really a perfect set of red^ I kept the clothing simple and it works well with such bold pieces in the rest of the look. The trim of the cape has some silver/grey details so I decided to use that with this sweater and I really like how that's turned out. This look is a winner for sure!

Y O U N G H O L L Y W O O D | Styled By You / / Styled By Me

December also brought us a new Young Hollywood collection - this is a brand I've not really kept up with much the past few years as much as I did with the early releases, as red-carpet-ready stylings aren't so much my thing. But I did pick up some shoes from this release and spot some of you guys looking amazing in the pieces, so time for a Styled post! First up those features, and these first two style up the Paris Dress which is pretty glamorous in detail in a bit of a different colour to normal red carpet pieces. Brevis has gone all out with the glam styling both the Paris Dress and the Black Gigi Heels which are perfect together especially with the accessorising of the look. I love these long black leather gloves so much here, perfect to tie the shoes in and I think the style of them is great with that of the dress. The jewellery is beautiful, great glamorous choices that really stand out - overall I love it =D
Thieli. also styles up the Paris Dress but looking slightly more casual in this styling - I love the versatility this piece has! It looks super cute layered with this beige top, a colour which works well softening the brown. The brown Gucci boots are perfect here for the more casual vibe, the colour is perfect and the print adds some detail. Again, the jewellery is perfection in this styling, I love the snake design necklace, it fills the neckline of the dress beautifully. And the big glam dangling earrings are also stunning, a great combination of pieces there!
And the final feature is from MeLolitka styling the Chrystal Heather Dress, which is something I couldn't imagine how to style, but this look completely nails it! This piece layers very nicely with this crisp white skirt and I think it also pairs well with the overcoat - it adds such a contrasting style, the heavy coat with the delicate dress, but actually it works nicely and the shape of the coat really highlights those sparkling details well. The pink inside of the coat adds a fun detail too^ Love the accessories here, the bag, shoes and jewels all look great along with the beauty styling =)
Now for my stylings, they may be a little boring compared to the features as I only picked up shoes in this release! But I do think they will be versatile and I'll get good use from them. First up the Pink JoJo Shoes which are such a sweet piece, I really like the meshing on them and the shimmer to the pink toe. I wanted something glamorous and pink to wear with these and I think this maxi dress fits the bill well! The colours on the dress work perfectly with the shoes, the main colour is just that little bit paler so the shoes stand out well at the bottom of the length. I really like the pairing^ Next up are the Black Sydney Pumps, which are probably the most plain pair of shoes, but they just looked so elegant and fabulous, and importantly, versatile. I decided to keep on the dress theme to fit the look with the first, this floral gown just stood out to me immediately from my wardrobe, there's some black in it with the centres of the flowers but the bold colour really provides a good base so the shoes pop! I kept it Winter-ready with this long sleeved polo beneath which I think works out nicely. I'm so in love with my bag choice, I love it with the dress so much, the colours are perfect. And accessorising was easy again, black glasses and some little gold earrings made the perfect finishing touches =D

D U A L I P A C H R Y S T A L H E E L S

I was very kindly given the Young Hollywood Dua Lipa Chrystal Heels by a friend, so of course had to style these fabulous shoes up! They're such a cool pair of shoes and ever so glamorous, I particularly love the colour combination of the metallic pink and the deep red heel, it's so cool^ I think they have the chance to be such a versatile heel, but I've really not shown that in my all pink and red stylings, haha! They'll look so great with a white dress, or something with glitzy details. The first styling is my favourite, and I haven't taken it off since putting the look together - the pale pink all over really highlights the red and jewelled details in the shoes yet I think they fit in just perfectly. These trousers are a great length too to highlight a cool shoe. There's not much else to say, it just works so nicely together^ Next up something super dressy, it's a simple look but this red dress looks pretty fancy which is only elevated by the dressy-ness of the shoes. The red heel is again highlighted by the rest of the red, but I think the crystal design really pops. The final look is a bit of a combination between the first two, featuring both red and pink, this won't be to everyones taste, but I think it's not too bad! These pink trousers are similar to the first pair, just a little more slim-fitting, the colour is spot on with the pink sole of the shoes. The coat is a little wintery, but has cute details that really stand out and give the outfit an interesting vibe - I think the colour does look great with pink as it's not a super bright red. The glasses aren't my favourite, something more muted would have been better but this was the only choice I had and we were lacking accessories here; I also think the bag choice could have been better, I do like the overall style of this bag and the colour is perfect for what I was wanting, I just don't like how the silver chain really stands out against the coat - so I'm on the hunt for an alternative!

M K I N S P I R E D M E T B A L L E A R R I N G S | Styled Outfits

This past weekend I was very kindly gifted the MK Inspired Met Ball Earrings from Young Hollywood after I complimented them in a styling - so unexpected but the perfect opportunity for a styling in this time of slightly uninspiring releases. I really have never spotted these before, we all know I'm not too great with wearing jewellery, so that's no surprise!
I loved styling up these earrings, I found it so easy which I think was down to their light colour, it's an easy accessory colour to work with. First up I loved the meshing of this dress, it really keeps it light despite being long, and the colour is perfect with the earrings. The rest of the accessories are matching in colour, everything really fits together quite seamlessly, I really like this look^ Second up also focusing on a pale colour by choosing this coat, which opens up a lot of options for clothing, I chose to go with the black lining with the trousers and the red top works with the colouring on the sleeve. I think it's pretty simple but still an effective styling =) And for the final look, which I think might be my favourite, I stumbled across this jumpsuit in my wardrobe and with it's white piping, it makes the perfect piece to wear with these earrings, I love it^ I kept white on the rest of the accessories and I really think it's worked out very nicely - and it's looking a little lounge-wear suitable which works for a lot of us in RL right now too.

Y O U N G H O L L Y W O O D | Styled By You / / Styled By Me

This Young Hollywood release came as a little surprise, although maybe it shouldn't have - it's a window release based on the Teen Choice Awards 2019, which is a theme we've had before. There are 3 looks to choose from with a mix of styles. For me it wasn't a huge success as the styles weren't so much to my tastes, but I've loved seeing you guys work these pieces into your looks^ First up is starsuepretty wearing the Taylor Jacket, Maddie Earrings, and Maddie Chanel Bag paired very well. These trousers are a great match for the jacket, the colours are super fun and draw you in completely. Love the little touches of gold through all of the accessories, those work perfectly, I'm especially loving the belt and booties combination added to this styling!
Then we have France25, also styling the Maddie Chanel Bag this time very cutely added onto a belted piece. It's a tiny bag, so it naturally works very well in a styling like this. The look is super fun, I love the pairing of the black and white checks with the navy of the trousers, it provides the perfect background for the classic Chanel design to pop out of!
And the final feature, millaxx styling up both the Maddie Earrings and the Hyland Shoes in a cute mixed style look. I love the use of jeans, showing the versatility of these heels, then they pair well with the colour of the blazer. The earrings add a glam touch along with the belt bag, it's a good twist on style^
Then lastly for my stylings - I only bought the Hyland Shoes in this release, I was thinking about the Maddie Earrings however in the app, they came across as if they were a Beauty Parlor piece, which I don't like so much, however they turned out not to be, so it was my loss there! However I'm very happy with the Hyland Shoes! I think anyone who has read this blog even for a short time will know my love for orange accessories, so these were a must for me! They were super easy to style up in a range of looks, and I came up with 3 fun ones. They work well with both trousers and also skirts/dresses, so plenty of options, and look good either smart or casual as well. The first look didn't work out exactly as I wanted, as I was missing a few key pieces, but love the shoes with the white trousers, I'll definitely repeat this pairing! For the second look this Louis Vuitton shirt is such a great piece, the orange is really balanced nicely against the black through the whole styling, it's such a trendy smart look^ And finally something more on the fun side, this dress has the perfect little touches of different colours and the orange flower is perfect for these shoes! A simple styling, but there's so much going on, and I can see something like this being easily transformed to work in all different seasons =)

Y O U N G H O L L Y W O O D | Styled By You / / Styled By Me

We recently got a Met Gala Young Hollywood window release, with 3 looks to choose from - while I wasn't particularly bothered about the Met Gala, even I could see the looks weren't that great. There are still some pieces available in the Plaza still. So a quick Styled post as it's really not worth a review. First up a feature - Andre1396 styling up the Sophie Sequin Top in a great look! I think the piece looks so much more awesome in this styling than in the release window^ I love the effect of the leather trousers with the sequins on the top, and the white shirt adds a great twist and smart base. The colours are picked out for the accessories, the yellow and blue shoes and bags are perfect finishing touches for the styling =)
I just picked up one piece this time around, the Sophie Square Clutch, although I'm starting to think I should have also bought the matching top now too^ I found it very easy to come up with some styling options, I searched between blue and yellow, and as these are popular colours in my wardrobe, this wasn't too difficult to find options for! First up this fun printed skirt, the colours are pretty perfect to match the bag, and there's even some black in there which helps tie the bag in even more! With this look yellow was a better colour to add more of to make the panel on the bag pop. For my second styling I went down the 'smart' route, with a blouse and navy trousers, really a classic styling which works in many situations. I added more blue in the heels and the yellow in the belt, and I think it works out nicely so the focus is very clearly on the accessories with this one =D

Y O U N G H O L L Y W O O D | Styled By You / / Styled By Me

It's been a little while since the Young Hollywood Oscars release, I didn't really love it a lot - some pieces are stunning, like the Kiki Layne Versace Dress in a slim bubblegum pink and the Miu Miu Inspired Dress in a beautiful silver draping, but they're not easily wearable pieces for everyday stylings. The accessories work much better for that purpose and this time I have focused on them, although I wish I has bought the Choo Inspired Clutch because it looks adorable^ First, features!
This look is from Claudentia, styling the Esmerald Earrings looking very cool in this matching green and silver styling. I love the layering of the sparkling silver top under the green leafy cami from the Carnival G-O-M, I think it's such a cool effect and the green trousers look stunning. The bag is the perfect choice and fit for the outfit, but it's the hair and beauty choices that blow me away - the sleek up-do is perfect for showing off these dangling earrings and the green eyeshadow look is stunning!
And then we have Jacquemus also styling the Esmerald Earrings, and the Dior Inspired Hoult Jacket as well - menswear can work perfectly on the female dolls too^ I love the frill of the pleated miniskirt at the hem of the blazer, it looks great as does the collar of the white shirt. I love the minimal black accessories with the sleek heels and the mini-bag. The silver of the jewellery pops against the pulled back hair of the black clothing very well =)
And now for my stylings - in the first look, the Jimmy Choo Inspired Sandals in this sheeny dusty pink. They're also a bit of a platform heel, not my favourite but for me the colour and the diamonte strapping around the ankle win over, even though you don't see it in this styling! I tried on so many pink pieces to find the perfect match for the shoes, and this matching set won out, the perfect shades of pink^ The black leather jacket adds a street-style vibe to the bold printing, and I love being able to use this bag in the styling, it's perfect in colour and style - but I think the shoe manage to hold their own in the look! And in my second styling, the Stars Clutch Gold and the Tricolor Diamond Earrings, which I'll admit get quite lost on the doll (I bought in the app, it had to be a quick judgement call or 'to purchase or not to purchase'!) but they're pretty cute anyway^ I'm so glad I bought this bag, because I've found many great pieces to wear it with already, but my favourite has to be this glittered skirt, they're a perfect match! I stuck with a super simple base of polo and heels and I think it's an effective way to show off that shimmer^ I like the addition of the earrings in the styling - even if the design is a little unseen. Let me know what you guys think =D

1 Piece 1 Week | Balmain Inspired Checked Pants

After December off from this segment, we're back with the Young Hollywood Balmain Inspired Checked Pants to style up in 6 different ways =) These came out almost a year ago and since buying them, I only really styled them the once - more recently I've been seeing people going back to these and so I decided it was time for me to do the same!
Back to the basics of black and white
For me these are the obvious choices for the trousers, they've got a black and white base and therefore pair very well with pieces of these colours - plus we've got a lot of options in these colours. I chose smart shirts and belts to cinch in the waist in these stylings and kept them fun with accessory choices, the white sunglasses on the belt have been getting a lot of love^
Staying snug in the winter weather
It is winter after all, and overcoats and faux furs keep us cosy, these two pieces work beautifully, adding dark and light to the trousers. I like the blues with these trousers, I think they work out nicely and make a difference to black. Of course, this white furry coat is a perfect fit, and I love the pairing of the checked boots, this combination is one I'll revisit!
Daring decisions with fun prints and patterns
And for some fun with the last set, matching more checks and choosing lace details^ I really like this checked blazer with the trousers, the printing is a perfect match and the brown fuzzy cuffs make it a winter piece, and a good base for accessories. Not entirely sure how I feel about the lace, I think it works with the checks but my boots are too heavy for sure, oops!
