L I M I T E D E D I T I O N | Styled Outfits

Following on from me LE50 review - now for my own stylings from the release. First up are the two clothing pieces from the release. I really love the Shiny Jacket, I think the shape is great and I love the colours and print on it so much - it's a fab Spring jacket to add to my wardrobe. I found it easy to style and love how well the pink tones are highlighted with these trousers. I kept the rest of the additions in silver to play on that colour from the jacket and I think it works nicely, particularly this long necklace as it fills the neckline well. Then I also got the Flower Leather Skirt, which I do think is a more Autumn/Winter piece but I tried to make a Spring/Summer styling for it. I don't think it's quite right, but I do think it's a start. This cropped white top was a good length to tuck nicely into the skirt and I kept with a white and black theme across the look. I do like it, but think the skirt can be styled much better - so definitely watch this space!

Now for the accessories, I did buy a couple more but have gone for these three to start with. I found the Gold Detailed Bag such a fun piece to style but that's probably because I really like wearing dark brown XD The bag went with a lot of the clothing options I tried on, but I really liked it with this sheeny dark overcoat and matching brown leather trousers, I don't think it's too much brown at all. I balanced that with this white shirt, the tiny gold brooch ties it in with the rest of the gold additions. I particularly like these chunky earrings, they're definitely a more subtle gold and think they look great with the brown. Next is the Pearl Purse with a completely opposite colour scheme to the first look, it's all about the light! I really loved it with this pink coat, so that was what I was trying to make work in this outfit. I chose white for the clothing to really help make the pearls of the bag pop and I do think that has worked nicely, along with the gold accessories. I love these sunglasses with the bag, I think the two styles together are just right^ And finally is the Fan Bag which was such a dream to style, even easier than I had imagined - and I have so many more ideas for this one, it's really given me a spark of inspiration. I knew I again wanted to choose gold accessories to match the bag handle like in the other looks, I love this thick gold choker in the look a lot. I was also inspired by the lines of the bag to choose this dress, it's bringing me back a lot of Summer styling memories from several years ago but I think it's a perfect combination for the bag. The off-shoulder top style works well to further highlight the necklace in the outfit. I really love this outfit a lot =D

L I M I T E D E D I T I O N 5 0 | Release Review

May brought us a brand new Limited Edition release - and it's LE50, I can't believe we're 50 collections in, so crazy! We got a little warning of an upcoming release the day before which is really perfect for preparing for the chaos that LE releases usually are. I was really stoked for this one so lets get into the collection:

This collection definitely has an impact - it's a glamorous release and I think the interior setting of the store is an eye-catching base for the collection to sit against. I would have loved Stardoll to have made a bit more of a deal that this was the 50th release of LE, but I do think the collection is a pretty good one for it. Starting off with accessories and there's a pretty wide choice. There are 6 pairs of shoes, all quite glamorous heels and I really like 3 of these pairs - the Metallic Ombre Heels which are in a fabulous metallic pink, the Golden High Heels with a very fancy feathered design on the back half, and the Gold Stripe Heels which look like classic Louboutins. Generally none of the shoes are particularly unique to the Plaza, but I think they're solid designs that will naturally be quite easy to wear. For bags there are 7 to choose from, which makes me happy as I really do love a good bag selection! I ended up buying 3, but honestly could have bought them all, I think this is a great set of bags in this release. The pieces are all quite different so hopefully enough choice for everyone. I loved the Pearl Purse at first sight, I really like pearl accessories and this round bag is such a well-styled piece. I also really loved the Fan Bag when I first saw it, while it's quite a trend piece, the style is simple and I think it will look great with many different outfits, plus the neutral colour plays well to that too. I also think the size of this one is very nice. The Pink Hand Bag is the boldest of the pieces in a bright pink, I love the simple style to this one but I do think it's quite oversized - I'd love it a bit more if it was smaller. And the last one to mention is the Gold Detailed Bag, which is another round piece this time in a fabulous espresso brown and gold design, I think this is super stylish and really quite a unique piece so I'm excited to style this. The release also has quite a number of jewellery and other accessory pieces, which is really great to see. There is a cute set of pearl items with the Pearl Beret, Pearl Bracelet, Pearl Shades, and Pearl Oversized Earrings which I think is super sweet. There are also some fantastic metal pieces, like the Gold Collar Necklace and paired Twisted Necklace and Bracelet set. My favourite is perhaps a little simple, but I think the Black Hoop Earrings will be a versatile addition to my earring collection =)

The clothes of this release weren't so much my thing, I found pieces a little bit less wearable than many of the accessories - but that's just my preference and I've seen many of the pieces styled by you guys in cool ways^ There are not so many dresses in this release, which is a good thing as other pieces can be worn in more ways, but the ones there are quite nice. The Crystal Fan Dress sure stands out on the first floor, it's all about those sparkles and the dramatics. I do really like the simplicity of the Black Dress, particularly when paired with the Silver Chest Plate, the style is beautifully elegant and I think it looks fab on the doll, I just don't think I could do it justice with my style preferences. There are quite a few co-ord sets in the collection, like the White Chain Top and Skirt which really jumps out in the store, I love the floating light fabric, and the Leather Body and Pants set, but I think the Pearl Top and Silk Skirt With Ankle Cuffs really is the winning set, it just looks awesome and is completely different to anything we've had before. I do have to say though I was a little tempted with the Pink Net Top and Pants, I think it could be something quite fun, but I decided too late and they were sold out! I think they will definitely also style well as separates. The Draped Leather Jacket is quite a stand out piece from the release, all those folds and layers really draw you in to look into the details, it's such a power piece. Also in leather I thought the Flower Leather Skirt was a cute piece and would make for some very nice Autumn/Winter styling so this is one of the pieces I did get. While on the topic of skirts, the Silver Dragon Skirt is also quite fabulous, it's got so much detail in it and really makes me think of some of the classic LE collections - it's the definition of an LE piece, at least to me. And one final piece to mention, which is something I also bought and I *think* might be my favourite piece of the release, the Shiny Jacket! It's pink and shimmery and has a leopard-style print, plus the fit of the piece is great, I loved this piece at first sight and it's the one I rushed to buy when the collection was released. And as a plus, it came in both male and female versions. I'm a little surprised that I've not seen anyone else style this yet, but I'm excited to share my outfit for it =D

F E A T U R E S

First up in the features is Bianca.Vos combining the White Braided Top Men, Gold Stripe Heels and the Crystal Mini Purse - what a combination and all the pieces hold their own^ This look is effortless elegance, the mesh piece layers wonderfully with the sheer maxi pieces adding great detail into this dress, those sheer sleeves really transform the piece, I love it! The shoes are just on show beneath the sheer layers and the colour is perfect for the clothing. The bag in a darker colour pops nicely but balances with the black nail polish and the fantastic hairstyle chosen. So much love for this look =D

Next up, a bold styling from harpie who wears both the Pink Net Top and Pink Net Pants which is just super fun. I was so tempted by these trousers and this styling really almost sold me on them, it makes the pieces look very wearable and even almost a little versatile. The dress layered on top is a fantastic idea, it adds an extra layer of detail and I love the draping fabric across the piece, really it's great! The sparkling accessories are also fab, adore the chunky necklace and earrings a lot^

Thirdly is Yelich, styling up both the Pearl Top and Cocktail Glass Bag in this very glamorous outfit, while it's not something I would wear, it's amazing! The jewelled skirting is a great fit with the top, I think it's a great fit for the pearls and I think the tiny dotted tights beneath just add another layer, I really love the combination^ The accessories are simple and I think the bag works well with everything, especially the simple shoes. What a styling!

Now we have Achrome wearing the Pearl Purse, Gold Rings Left and Right, and the Pearl Bracelet in a very golden styling, exactly how to catch my attention! The clothing pieces are beautiful but make a great base to show off the new LE pieces. The rings and the bag look beautiful, but I love the creativity in the use of the bracelet at the open neckline of the shirt, it looks great there. And it goes well with the other pearl jewellery items included. Simple and stylish =)

Something a little darker now, AngelinaVer styles up the Silver Dragon Skirt with some fabulous dressy pieces. Even though the skirt has a lot of detail itself, I think it works well with this detailed top, the designs on which do look like they could be dragon-esque too so I think it works well together. The simple accessories work well and the silver pieces really help the dragon scales to pop from the outfit, I love it^

Our final feature brings us fabulous Winter glamour - LeGodja has styled up the Snow White Fur and is looking amazing as always! The fur is layered ontop of a fabulous pearl/jewelled dress and I think the two are perfect for each other. While the accessories are simple, this is just right so that the fur and the sparkle of the skirt take centre stage. The heels have a little gem on them which makes them a simple but fitting choice and the bag and sunglasses fit well with the black of the shoes. So cool!

O R I G I N A L F U T U R E | Styled By You / / Styled By Me

The Spring/Summer Original Future release brought us a mix of new pieces to try out - this isn't one of my go-to stores in the Plaza but every so often has a couple of great items that I must try out! And there was one piece that really did well in this release, the Oversized Trimmed Jacket, which was the piece I knew I had to have too^ First up is a feature with the Oversized Trimmed Jacket styled by AngelinaVer and looking so chic! The black trim works perfectly with the trim detail on this pair of trousers, like the pieces were made for each other. The oversizing of the jacket with the loose sleeves works great with the loose fit of the trousers and the leg split, it makes for a lovely light Summer look. The accessories are simple but perfectly fitting, I love these sleek heels and the Chanel bag, so stylish =D

I was very excited about the Oversized Trimmed Jacket as soon as I saw it and knew immediately how I wanted to wear it, this skirt is another perfect choice for it with the trim detail. I really kept the accessories simple, it works well with these pieces, and picked black to really emphasise the trim. Colours will also look fun with this piece so I'm looking forward to trying out some different things with it another time. Then I also picked up the Metallic Long Boots, I thought these looked super fun and I really liked the colour so thought I would try them out. Feeling inspired by the first outfit I knew I wanted to wear white with these boots and I'm so happy with the final outfit. I opted for this long flowing skirt and think the boots pop so well against it. I love the oversized layering with this shirt and then added some glamour with the accessories. Love the colour of this bag with the boots and the jewelled handle made a perfect opportunity to add some jewelled earrings. I'm so pleased with this outfit, the boots definitely turned out better than expected so I'm excited to style them again =)

V I N Y L | Styled Outfits

The Spring VINYL release was a bit of a mixed bag, but I found some great green pieces that I just had to have! First up is the Green Velour Top which just makes me think of Autumn as I love velour/velvet for that season. I tried to make a more Spring/Summer styling with it though and I think I have some success. I love the colour with these beige trousers a lot, and the style of the two pieces really is perfect together, I'd wear this again for sure. This bag was about my only green choice that worked well with the shade of the top, I think it's a pretty decent fit and I love the jewel details it adds which worked for a jewelled pair of earrings to be added too. Then I also picked up the Green Boots which I just think are such a fun piece I think these will make for some super cool stylings^ The lime colour is definitely stand out amongst my other green shoes, and was a perfect fit for this recent-ish bag addition to my wardrobe, I really love this accessory pairing a lot. I knew the focus had to be on that pairing so kept it very simple with white clothing, the smart trousers really are great with both the boots and bag, and I think overall this makes a fab light Summer styling - I'm going to re-wear this!

OOTM May | Styled By You / / Styled By Me

May's Outfit of the Month brought us 3 new windows of clothes in the Plaza - I love the choice available in the range of colours, styles and pieces. I think it's a very nice mix of options. First up are a couple of features and it was clear that one piece was a winning number among many members. Here is harpie styling both the Oversized Beige Top and Beige Heels and looking fabulous! The beige of the top is well matched to a number of other clothing items and it fits seamlessly with this dress option, the details of both pieces pair so well together. The chunky necklace fills the neckline beautifully and I love the pop of orange in the bag. I also have to point out the beauty look, the hair and makeup are flawless for this styling, I love it =D

Next is mery.- who also wears the Oversized Beige Top but styled in a completely different way - showing off a versatility to the piece that I couldn't imagine! The artsy crop top beneath the focus top of this post looks great, and adds a more casual vibe to the piece, as do the jeans. I also really like the dark shoes and bag chosen, they stand out well and make for really nice points in the outfit to pull the eye too. But favourite accessory of the look is definitely these sunglasses, the colour and style work perfectly with the beige top pairing, so so great!

And now for my own stylings. Firstly are the Black Sequin Pants with the Crystal Drop Earrings - I loved these sparkling trousers at first sight and knew I had to have them, although I think they are much more suited to Autumn/Winter stylings. I really kept the focus on the trousers with simple additions for the rest of the look, I really love this bag with the trousers as it also has a sparkle to it and it's in fitting neutral colours. I'm a big fan of these simple earrings too, they really will look good in a number of stylings. I also picked up the Beige Heels because I think these are a great basic that will work in a number of different outfits. I wanted to make quite a simple look with other beige pieces and loved how these trousers looked, sure they're not simple with the elaborate purple design but they have a beige base which is perfect with the shoes. The shirt is simple but I'm so pleased with the accessories of this matching purple bag and these think dangling earrings, super elegant!
