I T G I R L S | Styled Outfits

I thought our Autumn/Winter It Girls release was super cute with some Emily In Paris themed items! First up I styled the Emily Pink Checkered Coat, Emily Pink Checkered Hat and YSL Basket Purse - hats really aren't usually my thing, but I thought this one was so cute and actually fitted my doll quite nicely so I thought I would try it out, I really like it^ Love the pink and brown colour pattern too, it's super fun and fresh, I kept the additions simple, I thought this bag fitted quite well then kept the additions on a brown which I love, these boots are perfect with the coat! Next is the Emily Fendi Bag, which I love for it's fun mix of colours plus the relax to the structure. I really wanted to wear pink with it, however once I had tried on this coat, I knew that was the perfect combination, love these pieces together! The baby blue is a light touch to the styling and I think it works really nicely with the tan brown and is something a little different for me to try, love it^ And finally are the Emily Pink Boots, so cute and I think a perfect Spring boot - these look great with the Emily Fendi Bag too, but I couldn't quite get them to work with the tan so I opted to style them separately because they're amazing with these pink jeans! For a Winter look I opted for this furry coat and I think the whites and pinks are a fab combination together, completely could wear this again and again =)

I T G I R L S | Release Review

I have my fingers crossed for the Winter Tribute season to start soon, but in the meantime - a new collection was released in It Girls with a mix of transitional Winter-Spring pieces in a range of colours and styles, lets take a look:
The release is the usual size for a regular store release and comes with a good mix of clothing and accessories pieces in different styles, fabrics and colours. Starting with the accessories, I think the bags really are stand out in this category. There are 3 to choose from and they offer both both neutral and fun styles. The Beige Purse and Black Bag are great basic pieces and I'm really a fan of the smaller size of these as they will be easy to work into many outfits. Also a quick note, if you're SS/Royalty, the Black Bag is this weeks free gift on the Superstar page^ Then there is also the Leather And Denim Bag and if you're thinking this looks familiar, then you're correct - this is inspired by the Loewe 'hammock' style of bag and we've already had basically the same bag but from a different angle. This is from Velvet Orchid, the Jeans Leather Bag, which you can still buy in the Plaza - not great Stardoll! Anyway, onto the clothing pieces, of which there are 10 pieces to choose from. My eye automatically goes to the white/beige pieces and I think these are very nice - I really love the White Long Skirt and Pleated Blouse (although this seems more like a dress to me!) a lot, the styles are simple yet very nice and these pieces both look great on the doll. They will be great for layering for Winter stylings now, but will also be fab in the Spring/Summer. The Knit Braid Dress is also quite nice, I love the idea of it, but I don't think it looks quite as good on the doll as the other pieces, I think the positioning of the waist isn't quite right (when I tried it on at least). Then there are a couple of other knit-style pieces, and in that category I'm really liking the One Sleeve Sweater, this brown piece is super cute and has a very sweet sleeve detail on it's one sleeve. It's definitely unique in the Plaza and I think it could make some great neutral toned Winter looks. There is also the Red Turtleneck Sweater, which I love the colour of but I think the diamond-line design is potentially off-putting to some, I would have preferred this to be a little more subtle, but I still think it will make some nice stylings. The final pieces to mention are the Marine Serre-inspired Moon Top and Leggings which are a sweet Winter co-ord. The design is simple and I like the brown base to them, but they're not so much pieces that I would wear. I think I could be convinced otherwise though if I see a fabulous and creative styling with them!

F E A T U R E S
First up is harpie who styles the Pleated Blouse very elegantly and creatively. This piece layers beautifully and that way there will be so many looks for it, this one is great to start with^ I love the skirting especially, it has a vintage look to it which I think looks fab and works well with the pleated and fluted sleeves of the blouse. The simple accessories are effective and pretty, but I love the elaborate earring choice, so fabulous =D
Then we have Izzy_Star who has opted for the White Long Skirt in this sleek minimal styling, matching the beautiful decor design. This is an outfit that really highlights the beauty of 'less is more', the skirt really hasn't needed much added to look amazing. The white sheer top is fab with it, and the matching bra underneath is perfect. I adore the simple yet very stylish accessories, the pointed sandals and dinky designer bag are great final touches =)
And the final feature comes from Bianquette wearing the Red Turtleneck Sweater and really doing a good job at trying to make me want this piece! The pattern doesn't stand out so much in this styling, which is really nice. I love all the use of red in the look, it's definitely not too much at all and I think the bag is such a great fit for the sweater, along with the delicate necklace choices. The brown skirt is such a fitting piece and it works perfectly at not being overwhelmed by red. I really love this fun and creative styling of such a bold colour!

S T Y L I N G S
I've just bought two pieces so far, but there's a couple of others that I think I will be picking up too. First up is the White Long Skirt which really looks great in a number of stylings, I wanted to go for something a little on the casual side and I think it works nicely with this oversized sweater. With the stripes on the sweater being black I decided to use that for my accessories and I stuck with simple pieces. I'm really loving this look a lot and I think this skirt will be a great staple piece for the upcoming Spring/Summer season. Despite already owning the other almost identical bag, I did also get the Leather And Denim Bag which I had fun styling, I love this outfit so much! After styling this one, I do think I prefer this version over the other one. Anyway, I decided to style it with jeans and was super pleased to find a perfect denim match for the bag, I love this pairing a lot^ With some brown accessories, I kept the rest of the clothing simple choosing this white shirt which is a classic and makes for an effective styling to highlight the bag. I am also loving this ponytail hairstyling with this look, I think it all just comes together nicely =)

P I N K C R O S S B O D Y B A G

Normally I really like the It Girls releases, but this time it wasn't so much my thing - I did however pick up one piece that I thought was fabulous and just had to style, the Pink Crossbody Bag! This is such a fun colour to wear and it will always stand out in an outfit, plus I think it's a great colour to wear in the Summer, there's no better time for it^ I really like the design of this too, the small size is very nice and helps make it more wearable. For the first outfit I really wanted to make use of these shoes, the colour matches the bag very nicely to balance the bold. I thought these trousers were super fun, there's a lot going on with them but the bright pink flowers work well with the bag. The other colours in the print give options to add to the rest of the look, I decided to use orange for the top but lightened the look with the white blazer. For sure a fun styling^ I love my second look, the pink blazer is perfect with the bag and I don't think it's too much at all. With that big block of pink I had to keep the rest of the look more simple, these white shorts are perfect with a blazer for a Summer styling and I kept with those smart vibes for the shirt too. The rest of the accessories were simple and I still stuck with white for those - I really love this, such a classic look for bright pink!

I T G I R L S | Original v. Recolour

Our most recent IT GIRLS release brought us another set of re-coloured items of which I was happy to pick up a couple - I thought instead of just styling these new pieces it would also be fun to style up the original item and see how the two compare:
Original: I've had these Simple White Denim jeans for some time and have worn them quite a lot since their release in May 2017 (!!!) - they're an easy piece to style and they look good with so many different items of clothing. I've worn them less recently as I've gone off denim a little, but these are a staple white jean to have in my wardrobe, the straight leg and high waist fit it spot on! There are so many ways to wear these, this time I opted for this bold blue shirt with matching accessories along with a classic white blazer - there really are so many options but I'm feeling the blue right now^
Re-colour: The 'new' Simple Black Denim jeans have brought another classic to my wardrobe, a good pair of black straight leg jeans with a high waist. Whilst the raw hem won't always be what I want to include in a styling, I made use of it in this one and it really pops against these yellow boots. This tee has been catching my eye in my wardrobe the last few weeks so I wanted to try it out in a styling, these jeans seemed a good fit. I kept it more Winter-ready with the polo underneath but I think it works out well with the black font on the print. The rest of the look is simple with black added in the jacket and bag, and I love how these yellow sunglasses look against the bag. I'm sure I'll be wearing these again in no time!
Original: This is the HotBuys Printed Skirt which came out in January 2019 in such a fun set of Hotbuys, however I didn't style it until I revisited the collection - I have attempted it and given up a few times, I do find it a trickier piece to style but for this post, I really enjoyed working with it. Trying it with this overcoat was perfect for me, it's completely fitting with my current style vibes and I find with the coat covering some of it, it was much easier to style and I love this look! I decided on a white and black styling, and I'm very pleased with it, I think the added black in the top and the solid white of the coat really makes that printed panel of the skirt stand out in the styling. The accessories are classic pieces, but the bag adds a touch of fun, I really love in there. This look has definitely inspired me to try out this skirt more often!
Re-colour: There are a couple of different colour options for this 'new' piece, I've opted for the Printed Skirt Orange because I thought it would be a super fun Summer piece and this is exactly the sort of style I like in the Summer. This was so fun to style and I found quite a few tops and accessories that I liked with it, so I'm looking forward to wearing it again already. To pair in with the first look I opted for a white shirt, I like this one in particular as I like the twisted design on the front with the gathering of the skirt. I'm so glad these shoes worked out as a perfect colour match for the skirt, again the bow really works well with the skirt gathering, I love these two together^ All I'm lacking is the perfect pair of orange sunglasses for this one =)

I T G I R L S | Styled Outfits

Our Autumn It Girls release is a pretty good one - there's a real mix of styles and designs available, so a little something for everyone. I picked up a couple of pieces and still have my eye on a few others to try out. First up is the Black Shirt, which is a fairly basic yet versatile piece to have. I have several black shirts in my wardrobe, but I really like the relaxed styling to this one, of course along with the half-tuck design at the waist - it's a real selling point for the piece! I didn't use a jacket in the styling to make sure the shirt got shown off and I'm pretty happy with this black and white outfit for Autumn, it's something a little different from my favourite classic Autumnal colours. I love how the layering of the white polo looks under the shirt, I'm really loving that vibe for this upcoming season. The white jeans also really help the shirt the pop, and the black accessories finish the look nicely. Next up is the Dotted Trench which I knew I had to have as soon as I saw it, what a fun piece! I had a lot of fun styling this, it was great to see what worked with it and what didn't, I'm glad I had a good time with the trial and error process. I love my final choice for this one, these leather culotte trousers look great beneath the coat, I think the textures of the two work nicely together - as does that of the shoes, the sheen on them looks perfect with the coat and trouser combination. I kept the shirt simple and I think it fits the overall style well. The accessories are also simple but I think they fit nicely with the look, especially these earrings, a perfect pairing I think! And the last item are the Red Shoes, which are more of a Summer piece, but I still couldn't resist them - strappy sandals like these will always be easy to wear^ I added more red which helps the styling become a little more Autumn/Winter, this skirt is a perfect colour-match for the shoes and I think is such a fun piece to style, it doesn't need too much more added to it. A simple black top keeps the focus on the red, and I love the balance added with these bold earrings, I love them here so much =D I'm looking forward to keeping these sandals for next Spring/Summer though, I know they'll shine for sure!

R I B B E D T O P

I've been saving this new It Girls Ribbed Top (17SD's) to style - it was the only piece I picked up from this release that was probably a month or so ago now, but I just love it, such a great basic to add to my wardrobe! I love the dark brown colour, it's not something similar to anything I already have, and that neckline is standout, it looks so good on the doll^ I'm a little surprised I haven't seen more people styling this up, but it does seem more Autumnal than Spring to me, so I think it'll get its chance in a couple of months.
I found a lot of pieces that looked good with this top, which is awesome, brown can be versatile too! But I did struggle accessorising the outfits, I don't have any bags which are a perfect match, and none of my jewellery or sunglasses seemed just right for any of the stylings, so that is something I can work on adding to my wardrobe. Anyway, the first outfit, had to go all-out brown and see if it worked, I think it's maybe a little work in progress, but I do really love this tulle skirting with the top, I think the colours work beautifully together. The brown shoes are a smart-looking touch, I love the shine to them against the matte in the rest of the outfit. I added a little black in the accessories to tie in with the waistband of the skirt, and I think it looks ok =) Moving to something a little lighter in the second look, these culottes are fab for Spring and the checked print adds some detail to the look. The colour is perfectly complementary for the top, I think this is a combination I'll repeat! Without enough brown heels, I thought these boots would be a fitting choice, the colour is a great balance with the lighter tones which are also added in the bag and earrings. I think the neckline is just looking a bit bare in this one, so I need to find a fitting necklace. And more light in the final look, which I think might be too overwhelming for the top - I love the colour of the trousers with the brown, but I think the jacket is too light. By this point I was also running out of accessories to work, haha, so while I think this bag is ok in the styling, it's not a perfect fit. I think I need a do-over on this one!

I T G I R L S | Styled Outfits

This past week followed the previous week's StarPlaza Window theme, and released a look from a different Plaza store each day, which I'm a fan of. This time I absolutely adored the It Girls release on Thursday, just super stylish and current and fabulous, I'm a big fan^ The wrapped style of the hem in the Wrap Jacket isn't so much for me and I think might be trickier to fit with my preferred stylings, so I'm giving it a miss and have focussed my purchases on the accessories. Firstly the Snake Shoes which are a pretty cute sandal, they'll be good in the Spring/Summer season, but I think they have a great colour, the green does really well to stand out but is also a fairly good neutral option for stylings and will work with a range of colours and styles. I love the strap detail on them, it's delicate and stands out, so a cropped length to trousers is perfect to highlight that. I knew immediately I wanted to use these trousers as the colours are a perfect fit together. I kept the rest of the clothing very neutral to highlight the green, and also picked a nice fitting green bag. These are super fun earrings to include as well, I think they're a nice detail to add to the styling =) And then also the Snake Bag which really couldn't be resisted at all, I mean how good a Gucci dupe is that?! It's really looking stunning, I'm very impressed! I love the neutral tone to it, it works well with so many of my favourite pieces, so for a first style I had to choose the most over-worn pair of trousers in my wardrobe, but look how great these items are together!! Keeping it neutral but smart with a white blouse and heels, and adding a little fun with the earring - the bag has silver metal work on it, so I stuck with that theme for the earring choice, while I normally choose gold over silver I think this works perfectly here^

V E L V E T P A I S L E Y J A C K E T | Styled By You / / Styled By Me

It's been a while since a classic Style By You / / Styled By Me post, but when I saw this outfit from Sieg styling the It Girls Velvet Paisley Jacket, I knew I had to style it up too because it's just a perfect piece this season of the year! I was sure I'd styled the jacket in a post like this previously, but I didn't find anything, so obviously it's time to rectify that. In Sieg's styling I loved the cool-girl vibes with the wide leg trousers and the chunky boots, they make such a good pairing for the blazer, an unexpected one, but a good one^ I love the white shirt underneath, it really makes the silver details on the blazer pop out, as does the solid black at the bottom of the look. I adored the accessories in this styling, the simple gold chain is perfection and the earrings look great too. Also loving this dinky structured bag, it's a great complementary piece for this look =) I love nothing more than pairing this jacket with the matching trousers, but I resisted this time as I think that's a really easy way to wear this piece. I wanted to try out some green trousers to highlight that tone in the pattern of the jacket, but I don't have anything in the perfect matching shade, so I resorted to red, and these cords make for a great Autumn/Winter pairing. I also decided to use a white shirt under the blazer, it really keeps the look a lot lighter - now a burgundy collared shirt like this would be perfect in this styling too. I chose silver heels to pop with the blazer design and I love that combination so much =D

June I T G I R L S | Styled By You / / Styled By Me

And now summarising our June IT GIRLS:Recoloured releases - and actually I think the last 4 weeks of them have been pretty decent! There's been some direction away from the neon and into more wearable colours which works pretty well for me at least^ For me the accessories have been such winners of these releases, they've really picked some great pieces to include, and I guess some of you guys think so too as they're also included in the features. First up is dm2udm2u wearing the Musubi Mini Tote Cream which looks great in this neutral look, so my thing! The bag looks great with these printed trousers, such a great pairing^ And of course I love the use of these nude heels too, a perfect choice. The white shirt adds a smart vibe with the silver jewellery and belt add such a different, almost western-style touch - I love the combination =)
And then we have minaj131 styling the Strap Brown Bra and the Manolo Blahnik Inspired Pumps Gold in this stunning styling! I love the layering of the top and the dress in this styling, the top really adds much needed shaping and detail to the piece and works so well with those huge sleeves! The golden accessories are perfect for the colours, I love the mix of the jewellery, bag and of course the shoes - they are so right in this look, exactly how they should be worn =D
I bought so much from the June It Girls releases, it was a bit ridiculous actually, and it's mostly multiple colours of one piece, haha! It would be super boring for you to see me style all 4 colours of multiple bags, so I've kept it down to 3 stylings for this post. First up the Fendi Inspired Purses Silver Orange - these came in some really nice neutral options too, but the orange really stood out to me as a fun accessory, so I styled it up with more orange! I kept the rest of the clothing neutral, and the focus is for sure all on the bag. I added a little orange in the shoes and I think this is a really nice minimal orange option (if there is such a thing!) and works well to balance the colour. Next both the Manolo Blahnik Inspired Pumps Black and the Musubi Mini Tote Black styled in a dressy look, a combination of smart and going out with the fun leopard print in silver. I love using this top to highlight silver in accessories and I think it's the perfect balance for the shoes. The rest of the look is neutral in black, but I think it works well to still highlight the pieces. I think the bag could definitely be in a look to highlight it even more, but it works perfectly well here with the shoes^ And finally, my favourite look of the trio, styling the JW Inspired Bag Puce which at first I thought would be perfect with some burgundy trousers and then I stumbled across this skirt in my wardrobe and it's a match made in heaven! I tried a lot of options for tops and other accessories, but as soon as I thought about highlighting the lighter colour in the check, I was too far gone with pink! I think the pink looks so great =D It's definitely a different choice, and I know not everyone will like it, but the colour combination of the dark with the pink is just dreamy^ This belt was a good colour fit as an accessory and finished off with some golden earrings with a similar design to the gold hardware on the bag. I think this will make a great Autumn outfit - if only I could wear it permanently from now through them =)

I T G I R L S | Styled By You / / Styled By Me

Now time to look at the 5th It Girls:Recoloured release that we got in May week - another set of recoloured pieces, but this time we have a lot of choice for each item and there's a bit of a better mix of bright neons and calmer neutrals, which I really appreciate. In addition to the two floors, there were a couple more items on the third floor of It Girls with this release. For me I lean more to the neutral pieces of clothing, but the accessories are what really stood out to me and I bought quite a few of! But first, the features - you guys also really liked this release it seems. First up we have LadyMK2000 wearing the Plush Sky Jacket Green, which although is really not my style, looks awesome here! The greens work together very nicely, the different tones are complementary to each other and I like the mix with a fun print and texture added to more neutral pieces like the trousers. I really like the accessories in this one^
Also in green is anaritamiranda styling the Balenciaga Inspired Ruffle Top Forest Green which looks great against these white trousers, the tuck of the sweater is total perfection with the belting design here! This is more more style of wearing green, it really makes green a workable colour. The accessories are stylish and fitting, the shoes look great and the bag adds some fun colour =)
Next up is LadyStez who is choosing the Balenciaga Inspired Ruffle Top White and also the Dior Heels White for the styling. The sweater is looking super smart with this split leg skirt, the neutral tones to the snake print really work well with that. The shoes are a good addition, and the design around the calf is still on show with the split of the skirt. The rest of the accessories are also super cute with the look, definitely some of my favourites!
And finally also in white, but the Can I Reach Now White sweater is the_chuba, also including the Angharadbbz Gucci Inspired Mules in the look. The look is casual with the use of the jeans, and I like that the raw hem of the sweater is really highlighted with the dark denim. The shoes add a cute dark touch while the pink in the bag gives some femininity - super cute^
I bought quite a few pieces to style up, and while I didn't buy any clothes on my first visit, I'm sure I will purchase some at some point in time. First up the McQueen Inspired Body Jewelry which was originally in silver and I always thought, 'if this was gold I'd wear it more', and my thoughts have been answered with this piece! These trousers are great with a black polo and this piece, the print works so well with the design on the necklace. I kept black and gold in the accessories, but light with this tan overcoat, it's a cute style for Winter for sure =) Next up the Angharadbbz Gucci Inspired Mules, I love the originals of these, so I'm quite happy to have them in another colour and the silver hardware detail gives good options for looks with silver highlights too which is the direction I took. The neutral black clothing let the shoes and the silver additions stand out - I'm particularly loving my addition of these earrings^ And lastly the Dior Heels Red which are super fun! I love the patent style to these, they really shine and stand out, even with more red in the look with this skirt - I'm totally gonna repeat this styling for sure^ The black keeps the look neutral so the focus is all about the red, I love it and think it will be great for Autumnal stylings =)

I T G I R L S | Styled By You / / Styled By Me

It's our 4th release of It Girls:Recoloured now, and wow it was a great one! I think it maybe was our largest release, so many things to choose from, mixing some of the previous recoloured items with some new ones and getting fun colours to choose from - I could still use a little less neon, but there are some great basics in here in wearable colours too =D First up a quick feature, sarah_1980 wearing the Fendi Inspired Thigh High Boots Neon Green and the Blanciaga Jacket White which balances well with the neon tones. I think there are so many options for this oversized piece, this is a great way to wear it. I particularly like the layering of the green boots with the shimmery sheer trousers, it really mutes the colour a little and gives such creative vibes - plus the pink bag works perfectly in there too^
And for my stylings - I actually bought quite a lot of pieces, so many pairs of shoes! I was really impressed by all of them, so there will be more looks to share in the future. First up the Mirrored Thigh High Boots, which I just love so much, the shape is great for a pair of boots and the colour is super stand out - it's not quite gold or orange, so I think people may shy away from them a little, but they're so worth the challenge to style! I went with hints of gold, the clothing are much lighter tones, more yellowy which I think has ended up perfectly, and then the gold in the bag and glasses is quite minimal - these boots do all the talking! Next up the Black Animal Pants, which are a dupe of the Royalty Green Animal Pants we got earlier this year, which I mention specifically because I really like those, and have them, but the colour gives me heart palpitations, it's so bold - this black pair are a perfect alternative^ I didn't mean to go all out leopard with them, but I love the quirky outcome, it just works pretty well together. The red colouring in the shoes is perfect for some flair which I continued in my bag choice - I really like this one =) And finally the Soft Pink Thigh Highs which are just gorgeous, the colour is beautiful, in fact almost everything I tried on with them looked so good, it was hard to pick something! I'm so glad I went with this dress though, it's a tricky one to wear and I think the boots are a great fit to highlight the pink tones in the pattern. I picked out this bag that I've not worn in such a long time either, and I think it's a great fit with the look, the lighter colour really looks good with the floral print, and even added earrings too, these are super cute, and pretty fitting to the overall styling too! I really love this set of looks, I think I've been trying out so many new and different things with these re-colour releases, it's super fun =D

I T G I R L S | Styled By You / / Styled By Me

Here is our 3rd instalment of It Girls:Recoloured, and really it's another great addition to our Plaza! This release has some of the more popular recolours and styles from last week in an additional set of colours, which I really think everyone is loving having^ Along with the new recolours - I find I'm excited to see what we get in It Girls each week now, although I'd also be ok with a little less neon, bring on some florals and pastels =D
First up with the features is millaxx wearing the White Bandeau Top, but also the White Fannypack from last weeks release^ This is such a cute Summery styling, the top looks great layered under the light toned blazer, and the white really pops out paired with the belt bag against the beige trousers - really loving all of the accessorising with this look!
And then we also have ajenkam styling the Oversized Padded Jacket White which looks super cute in this glam outfit - I love the sparkly pieces used beneath, the top combination looks great against the bright white. The light wash denim add a more casual touch while the white accessories are smarter and really complete the look nicely =)
I bought quite a few pieces in this release, firstly the LE Ather Slim Suit and you notice I did buy the matching Pants, but decided to style them separately to see if they could work well alone, and they do! For the first look I was very set on styling up a skirt and I'm so glad, I love how this has worked out! The light fabric and flowing style of the skirt is a great contrast to the black leather, this one has black detailing so works perfectly well. I picked black leather boots for balance and then chose yellow from the skirt to highlight in the accessories, I really love it^ Next the LE Ather Slim Suit Pants and the Green Small Clutch Bag which I also think work very nicely together. Annoyingly I don't have anything else quite in this shade of green, so I settled for a vaguely similar neon top, it's not too bad with the bag shade really, I should embrace the difference more! I accessorised with white to match the writing on the bag, and I think the jacket works really well to mix all of the colours together in this one. And for the final styling, the White Bandeau Top and the Pink Small Clutch Bag in a super light look compared to the first two. For me the top is very much a layering piece, I'm unlikely to wear it alone, but it works well with some of the sheer tops I have, so that is what I've gone for in my styling, and I think the white trousers work well for a match. That way the pink of the accessories really pops - I even added some earrings, they're a perfect finishing touch =D

I T G I R L S | Styled By You / / Styled By Me

At the end of 'Week 2 of VINYL' we were surprised with a second release of It Girls:Recoloured as I like to call it, this was great! This release was all about the bold colours and neon (which I think you can see from the features^) and really covered a lot of older items including Tributes and Hotbuys - plus the prices were very fair, I think that helped a lot with making many purchases! So first up the features, this look is from sarah_1980 styling the Balenciaga Inspired Bag, Balenciaga Inspired Hood Acid Green, alongside the Balenciaga Inspired Pantashoes from the previous release - what a combination! Neon isn't usually my thing, but I think it really works here - the combination is just right and the green is nicely balanced, it somehow works well against this bright bubble coat. The white shirt tails and cuffs really make a good balance to the look. I like the accessorising with the sunglasses, and the fringe hairstyle is perfect for the style^
And then we also have GirlEwelina who also styles up the Balenciaga Inspired Bag, which I love worn paired with the original yellow one, it's such a cute idea and one which used to be super popular. The colours are fantastic against this rainbow blazer, what an amazing piece - it sure can't be easy to style and this outfit is amazing with it! The jeans give a more muted touch while the shoes add some more fun!
I really liked a lot of the recolours in this release, like the Sleeveless Black Turtleneck, it's such a classic and wearable style so it's great to have it in black now too (the original is white). I didn't style up everything I bought, so there's a few more fun recolours in my wardrobe. First up the Hotbuys Vinyl Couture Boots Neon Silver, which I was just recently talking about wanting the original red ones, so this is pretty perfect for me! I love the silver through the mesh section of this skirt, I think the pieces work really nicely together to highlight the features of each. Kept the rest of the look simple with a matching sweater and bag, super effective, but just lacking the perfect earrings. Second we have the Cream Puf Silk Puff Blouse, which is in such a beautiful neutral classic tone in comparison to the original purple, for me this makes it much more a wearable piece. I found it really easy to find matching trousers, I love these ones with a super similar colour but a matte effect to balance the sheen, and accessorising was simple with metallic pieces. And lastly the Balenciaga Inspired Boots White, I wear the original black pair all the time, they're really one of my most worn pairs, so this is another perfect addition to my wardrobe^ I had so many ideas for these that it was a little overwhelming, I was trying to fit too much into the look for sure! In the end a simple midi skirt and top with gold details in the look is perfect for the boots, they look great and I'm really excited to style these more =D

I T G I R L S | Styled Outfits

Last week ended with another re-coloured release, this time in It Girls featuring several Tribute pieces amongst a few others in a couple of different colours, there's some fabulous additions here! The pieces are pretty fun and really offer a host of styling opportunities with the different colours we have now.
First up the White Satin Dress, which also comes in Black and Pink, I love the texture of this with the blazer, the two are a perfect match and the colours are very complementary to each other. The accessories also have a sheen to them which makes them fit well to the look - simple, but I like it! Next up is the HotBuys Inspired Deer Print Shirt, and I have to say, I think I like the original much more than the blue version - I thought I would like this one too, but the colour is definitely a little tricky to find other blue pieces to match. It works well with white though, I like the relaxed fits of all of the pieces in this look. I added a little black in some of the accessories which works nicely to balance all the components of the top. And finally the Wide Black Trousers which were very easy to work with. I styled them smartly, but they'll easily work in a casual look too. They have a very matte effect to them, which I quite like. I picked out golden detailed accessories which stand out - super simple for a simple piece =)

I T G I R L S | Release Review

It Girls is definitely one of my favourite stores in the Plaza, so I'm super excited to have new pieces to try out. The advertising is looking super Autumnal in colours and I love the styles and vibes shown, I have high hopes this time =D
Highlights The store is the usual size of release with one floor, and I love the style vibe of this one! The pieces fit together really nicely and the colours are great for the current season, I'm definitely happy with this release^
Accessories There is a small range of accessories, and they're pretty neutral and versatile pieces, particularly the boots. The Trendy Leather Boots are very much what they say on the tin, they're a total trend piece, but one I think a lot of people will really love for this Winter season. And then there's also the Thigh High Leather Boots, which are more my thing, also in black but with a chunky heel and an almost pointed toe. Sadly no bags in this release though.
Clothing The clothing is where the release really shines, it covers so many aspects of current popular styles, which is great! There's patterns, colours and neutrals, which covers a lot of peoples preferences. The winner of the printed pieces is for sure the Stylish It Girls Straight Jacket which is a boxy oversized piece with a nude and black checked print, perfect colours for Autumn and Winter and the fit makes it a good layering piece - this will also work well for both smart and casual stylings. There are four neutral light coloured pieces to pick from, and I think they're all pretty good ones. The It Girls LBD 2 is a cute smart dress, love the long sleeves and the high neckline along with the short hem length, this one will be cool to dress up with lots of accessory choice. I also really like the It Girls Off White Sweat, it has a cute tucked waistline and nice loose sleeves, however I already have a very similar piece from Nelly that came out earlier this year. Now the pieces I did pick up were the High Collar Ruffled Shirt, which is such a pretty piece and the ruffle detail really is stunning, and also the Cozy Trendy Ribbed Sweater which is the epitome of Winter comfort as a chunky knit with big sleeves, plus it has great button details at the shoulders which gives it a little something different. As for the darker pieces, there's a good mix of styles and textures there, but two pieces really caught my eye. First the Papercut Trendy Pants which have a super smart fit on the leg, but then have a paper bag style waist cinched with a matching belt - just a really versatile pair of trousers! And then also the Chocolatey Pleated Skirt, I know there's a lot of these, and in similar colours, around, but this one is great too^ Love the midi length, it has a good fit and look on the doll, plus the colour is beautiful, this is gonna look fab with so many pairs of boots =D
Prices This release ranges from 6 to 18SD's which is great, nothing is too pricey. There are no SC pieces this time, and there are also no SS or Royalty-only limited items.
Styled Outfits I had a lot of fun with these pieces, and the looks came together so quickly, so I think I will have no trouble with the items in the future. First the Papercut Trendy Pants which I made work with some of my favourite brown pieces, I'm loving this colour pairing at the moment, and I think the darker buttons on the shirt, despite being small, really help tie the pieces together. I think this is such a wearable look^ Next up the Cozy Trendy Ribbed Sweater which just looked good with everything I paired it with, so that's great for future stylings - I went for something fun with this leopard print skirt as I've not worn it in a while, I think it looks really nice balancing out the chunky knit against the slim fitting silk skirt. And of course boots to complete the look for the season! And finally styling the Chocolatey Pleated Skirt which I really just love despite having similar pieces - it just looks great on the doll, I have no regrets buying it =D Paired up with more brown tones and I love the final outcome of the outfit, this oversized chunky sweater is great and the half tuck detail is very flattering with the skirt.
Features And for the features next, firewalkwithliz styles the Stylish It Girls Straight Jacket in this neutrals focused styling. The long socks and little bit of leg showing looks super cute with the piece, I really like the style here. The bow shoes are a great touch to add to that vibe and I love the shine of the classic Chanel bag =)
Secondly Tara_1994 wears the Velvet Onesdie Bow Top which looks super cool paired with this velvet skirt^ I really like all of the layering and additions here, like the double bag use and the texture of the socks and the floraled neck scarf. The red lip gives a perfect balance for the look, it's attractive for sure!
And lastly dm2udm2u wears the Oversized Bow Jacket in a classy styling where all the focus is on that huge neck bow! The white tights and shoes are perfect with this piece, absolutely great against the white bow, it makes such a smart style. Love the accessories too, the hat, glasses, earrings and large Gucci bag are really excellent finishing touches, I particularly love the bag in the look =D
