M R . | Feature Set

A brand new Mr. release last week - and the pieces are shown to work well for the girls as well as the guys! There's quite a few cool features to share with you today. First up sshiny styling the Flower Tucked T Shirt, the print is quite muted but it looks great with these mustard cropped trousers^ The accessories are pretty perfect, the minimal vibe is working out well for this outfit, and I love the sunglasses tucked in the neckline of the shirt =)
And then two stylings with the Red Throw On Jacket, this first one is from anaritamiranda. The jacket has quite a smart style to it, so naturally it looks pretty good with this white shirt. I love the look of it layered over the skirting, the flowers pop and match the jacket colour well while the heavy use of black make the look super wearable and versatile^
And next Tasmins wears both the Red Throw On Jacket and the Brown Leaf Shirt, which suit each other well. I really like this lace cami under the shirt, it's perfect to fill the neckline and definitely doesn't detract from the style. The light wash jeans are a solid base for both pieces, but it's all about those accessories, the bag and shoe combination with the brown floral print is pretty great!

J A N U A R Y 2019 | Hotbuys Review

Ahh here it is, our first Hotbuys Review of 2019! These pieces are straight from a warm Italian setting, and look super beautiful. While it is winter for most of us, it is summer in some parts of the world, and so these HB's fit very well with last years summer offerings too. I think these are pretty attractive HB's overall, I think the presentation looks great and the pieces look fun for styling =)

F I R S T I M P R E S S I O N S
Cache Leather Bag - This is such a cute and different piece. I love a white accessory, and the gold strap is an extra bonus for this piece, plus the gold trim, it's adorable^ The size is quite small, so it might get a little lost in a look, but I like the minimal design and the structure of the piece, a definite purchase for me! Original Future 18SD's
Cult Gaia Inspired Sandals - I was definitely excited for these sandals, and they lived up to my expectations for sure =) While flat shoes aren't usually so much my thing, I love the design of these, the tortoiseshell buckle looks great and really stands out in the style - I think these will be absolutely great in the summer months for me^ It Girls 16SD's
Marni Inspired Printed Skirt - What a fun skirt this is! The midi style is popular and the overall shape of the piece is classic and very wearable. The print is what adds the fun, the colours are super pretty and it's such an interesting style, the orange definitely attracts me as I find it easy to work with. This will be great in the spring and summer =) Bizou 21SD's
Marni Inspired Pumps - For sure the most versatile piece of this collection, who doesn't love a pointed white kitten heel?! These shoes have so much to offer. They're a great shape, the pointed toe is in a unique shape and looks great, plus the tiny kitten heel is adorable and also a popular style! Pretty 'N Love 19SD's
Metallic Link Necklace - This is the first piece I'm not so sure about. I love the idea of a great chunky chain necklace and I think it's a great piece for styling in different ways, but I don't so much love how this one looks on the doll. I think it's the link at the front, and it's quite tight to the neck, I think something a little looser would work better for me. I've also not seen anyone else style this yet. It Girls 14SD's
Raffia Bag - Super excited for this raffia bag =) Love the raffia style and this one is definitely an individual piece against what we've had before. Love the square handle and the box structure to the body of the bag, along with the crossed closing design. Again it's another summer piece, particularly with the light tan colouring that it has. I've not seen anyone else style this yet, but maybe everyone is waiting a few months to end the winter =D Bizou 19SD's
Spotted Suede Bralette Top - This bralette is such a cute piece, the red is bold and eye-catching and the printing is pretty cute, but this piece doesn't fit on the doll very well! This really disappointed me. While bra-style pieces aren't something I wear a lot, I was willing to give this one a chance, but the fit puts me off. RIO 19SD's
Leather Coat - Definitely a stand out piece from this collection, it looks incredibly luxurious^ I love the printing design on this piece, it's almost like an animal print, but not quite and looks unique. The mink colouring is stunning and I love the almost-faux-fur texture the piece has, it definitely adds to the overall glamorous vibe. It looks great on the doll too^ Pretty 'N Love 29SD's
Woven Bralette Top - This one is pretty much the same as the previous, the fit isn't right on the doll, so still disappointing, being in a silk white makes it a versatile piece that definitely should be popular, but due to the fit, I really haven't seen anyone wear this. RIO 19SD's
Printed Skirt - Ok so a little disappointingly, this skirt hasn't hasn't materialised in the Plaza yet, the link will work and the skirt will show up once this error is fixed^ It looks like a cute piece, very similar to the other skirt in terms of style, shape and design, I love the wrapping style of the layers and the printing, and I love that it all looks good in white, it's versatile and will work year round =) It Girls 21SD's

F E A T U R E S
So first up in the features, Tasmins wearing the Marni Inspired Printed Skirt in this fun and colourful styling, love it! I especially love the orange accessorising, these shoes are fabulous with the skirt and the belt is a great piece mixing the orange and black. The greens in the skirt are highlighted beautifully with the turquoise sleeves, great choice!
Second up, wearing the Marni Inspired Pumps is brendaacelya looking sleek in Tribute pieces in addition =) The shoes really pop out against the black sheer socks and I love the glittered tights used too. The blazer dress is super smart, and the silver detailing pops out well against the shoes. Such a snazzy styling for this piece^
Our final feature is ajenkam wearing the Cache Leather Bag which really stands out well in this coloured styling. The white is perfect against the blue and the styles of the two meld together very nicely, both very smart and really made street-style with the addition of the trainers (a perfect fit for sure!) and the leather jacket, I love it contrasting so well with these culottes =)

S T Y L I N G S
Adding in something a little extra this year with the STYLINGS section - stylings coming from the Guest Writers! I think this is a fun addition to the Hotbuys Reviews^ Each picked one of their favourite items to style up from this month, AudreyHepburn. and cinderela23barb both picked the Marni Inspired Pumps and while both wearing dressed, the colours couldn't be more different, with bold red in the first, and cute pastels in the second - both looks make these shoes look super versatile, which is something I love showing you guys! Miloshki wears the Cache Leather Bag which looks great against these scenery jeans, and a contrast to the chunky knitwear in the styling, but perfectly fitting with the frames and earring =) And finally vogue_veronica styles the Marni Inspired Printed Skirt, again choosing perfect orange and turquoise accessories, so surely a winning combination! I love the smart over-shoulder blazer with the look, it completely dresses it up and takes it to another level =)

And lastly my own stylings! I've somehow managed to choose different pieces to the above looks, so we're showing a great selection of the Hotbuys in this post =) First up the Cult Gaia Inspired Sandals in this summer based styling, I love that they work with so many pieces, I had a lot of options for these, which definitely made me excited! I stuck with browns to go with the buckle, these trousers are such a cute combination, and I love this raffia bag with them too. Secondly the Raffia Bag which I attempted to wear in a slightly more wintery style, I don't think it completely works, the boots are a little overwhelming I think, but I do like the bag with the leopard print, so this is something I will definitely wear again^ And finally the Leather Coat which I've been wearing since the release - it has made me the perfect spring look with outerwear! I love this outfit and this piece so much, I also love that I've not seen anyone else wear it yet, so hopefully this maybe provides you a little inspiration to style it. I love it against the white base, and I'm also super glad that I finally found a look that was perfect for this bag too, I've been looking for a while and this is the answer for it =D

I N S P I R E D B Y P R A D A | Tribute Review

And here is our second Tribute of the season - it's Prada! This is our first time receiving a Prada Tribute, it's super fun getting something new to try out =) I love the advertising, it's stylish yet minimal and the pieces are clear, I love the colours - they're bold and current and make the advertisement stands out!
Highlights The store has 2 floors with 8 looks which is about average for a new Tribute these days. The interior has futuristic vibes, which is a little reflected in the clothing which I think works very nicely, and the bright colours really do catch your eye and draw your attention in all directions in the store.
Accessories There are a reasonable mix of accessories in the store, it's not just shoes and bags, there are extras too. I do quite like the shoes in this one, the Flame Patent Leather Wedge Sandals in Pink and Orange are super cool, they remind me of an older LE pair that we've had, but these bold colours make them stand out in the store. There are also some gold shoes, the Prada Inspired Decolette Pump, and while I typically love gold the style of these isn't so much for me - they have a rounded toe and tie at the ankle, which I don't think looks so good on my doll. Lastly some boots, which I quite like, the Prada Inspired Tronchetti Booties which are true winter chunky boots in a platform style. These are black laced with green and blue detailing. And then also the Prada Inspired Drawstring Booties which are super interesting, I love the idea and how it's worked out in Stardoll, they look good on the doll and I think will be a fun piece to style.
Not so many bags in the release, just 2 and both are orange based, but no complaints from me about that, I love adding orange to outfits! The Prada Inspired Bags are a set with a larger orange piece and smaller pink one, it's a style that I really love working with and I've done on my own, so a set together works out nicely for me. I also love the padded design element to these pieces. And secondly there is the Prada Inspired Saffiano Bag Robot, which is a structured piece with cute detailing. Then there are some extra pieces. The Prada Inspired Sunglasses seem to have gone down a hit, I've spotted so many people wearing these! They're a smaller style of lens with cool bar detailing across the top, they definitely stand out from other pairs. And there are socks, the Prada Inspired Socks in Orange and Black, socks have become a bit of a wardrobe staple, so these will no doubt be worn for many years to come - and they're pretty easy to include in outfits!
Clothing My first impressions of the collection is that it's quite based on dresses and skirted pieces, in fact not a single pair of trousers or shorts to be seen! There are 7 dresses in the store, with 3 of these being in the sheer category, the Prada Inspired Sleeveless Organza Dress in Teal and Black, and also the Prada Inspired Tulle Dress which is black with a fun bright embroidery design over it. These are great layering pieces, and the extra colours add a playful touch to them - I have seen so many amazing looks with all 3 of these already! So there are 4 'real' dresses, which can be worn as such, and these are pretty nice pieces in a range of styles - the Prada Inspired Tulle Printed Dress is a fun blue-based floral piece, I love neck and sleeve design of this and the midi length, it looks super classy on the doll, the Embellished Dress Ensemble is also floral, but on the pink theme with orange flowers, which I really quite like. It's also a midi piece, but made so by it's layered black tulle. Lastly there are 2 neon pieces, the Prada Inspired Turtleneck Dress in orange with a sporty vibe to it, and the Prada Inspired Neon Fringe Dress which is in a green, I love the idea and style of this one, but the green is just not for me, it's a pretty specific colour to pull off =)
Then there are a couple of co-ord sets to style. Firstly the Cropped Sleeved Jacket and Belted Wrap Skirt which are in a more minimal beige tone and style - these are pretty cute pieces and will work well separately too, I'm particularly drawn to the Jacket as I really like the flat neckline and the larger sleeves. Secondly there is the Prada Inspired Gathered Skirt which can be worn with either the Prada Inspired Strapless Top or the Prada Inspired Cropped Top, both of which are almost identical to each other, the Cropped Top has a little more structure to it and also the Prada logo triangle on the front. The skirt is super pretty, it's high waisted and knee length with a casual vibe to it. And lastly one of the best pieces in the collection in my opinion, the Prada Inspired Printed Coat - isn't it just so cool?! I love the oversized fit, and the black base with the flashes of colour is just perfect for the trends and styles I'm feeling right now. It's definitely a stand out piece for your wardrobe and I do think it has the potential for a lot of wear!
Prices This releases ranges from 12 to 35SD's - I do think in this one that the bags are pretty pricey, they're at the top end of the price range. Nothing is SS or Royalty only, the only time limit is that the store will probably only be around for approximately a month.
Styled Outfits I bought quite a few pieces from the store, and I really think I'll be back for a second round of purchases looking at the dresses! Firstly the Prada Inspired Tronchetti Booties, maybe an unusual choice for me, but I loved the green and blue sections on these even though the heel is super chunky. Those tones gave me my colour choices for the look, and these sheeny trousers are a great fit for the tone! In the second look I've used both the Prada Inspired Sunglasses and Prada Inspired Printed Coat, I did try a few different clothing items with this coat and found a few that I liked the look of, but ultimately chose these boots for their texture and colour. I kept the rest super simple but I love this teal Chanel bag as it's a great colour match for one of the flashes of colour on the coat. And finally using the Prada Inspired Bags and the Flame Patent Leather Wedge Sandals Orange, the pieces are perfect together, and this dress just came to the front of my wardrobe by chance and I just LOVE it! The dress is perfect with the larger of the bags, those colours are perfection. The pink of the smaller bag and the orange of the shoes are just the right contrasting pieces for the outfit. I really am so pleased with this combination, I don't want to take it off my doll^
Features And here are the features! I've shown a few in the daily features posts already as I found so many great looks but here are more =) First up is Evathia styling the Prada Inspired Printed Coat which I just love, and also the Prada Inspired Sunglasses. The coat is for sure a focal piece for a look so I love that it's been added to minimally with the black trousers and boots. The orange bag is small and the perfect pop of colour against the orange at the shoulder of the jacket^
Secondly we have DollaTella wearing the Cropped Sleeved Jacket which looks cute and matching with this skirt - I really like this pairing more than the original with the higher waist and more shapely cut, I think it works really well. The belting adds shape and detail and the white base along with sock pairings and shoes works well to make the look light and highlight the featured piece =)
In this look pilo7 makes great use of neon with the Prada Inspired Neon Fringe Dress, isn't it perfect with this paillette piece?! The bright green works with this mix of colours, it's unexpected but together the pieces work with an advantage. I like them layered with jeans, it makes the look a little more casual, and the blue accessories all look stunning!
Now there are 2 looks making use of the Prada Inspired Sleeveless Organza Dress in Teal, firstly TasminS who also uses the Prada Inspired Gathered Skirt and Flame Patent Leather Wedge Sandals Pink. I thought this was such a fun mix with colours and matching textures - the white blouse and yellow straps look to be very close to the skirt texture and the colours are a beautiful fit with the Prada. A really cute combination^
And also with the Prada Inspired Sleeveless Organza Dress in Teal, i-D. styling up with more green shades! The teal looks good with the green, these pieces are minimal yet fitting. The accessories are cool in this one, the black belting and the black strapped shoes are classic touches and I like the use of this new 'Champagne' bag =)
In this styling -Lady_Sweet- wears the Prada Inspired Sleeveless Organza Dress in Black along with the Prada Inspired Socks Black and Prada Inspired Drawstring Booties. The layering of these dresses is great, it makes both pieces much more wearable and they both look super smart. The accessorising is simple but very effective in this styling =D
And finally a styling from leiona_-, wearing the Prada Inspired Tulle Printed Dress and Prada Inspired Socks Black. The florals on the dress look great with the blacks of the jacket and the socks. I love the accessory choices, the blue heels are a good contrast to the black but work perfectly with the dress print and again the pop of orange stands out very nicely - a great casual way to wear these pieces!

Tan time

Tan colourings are some of my favourite to wear for autumn and winter as an alternative to black so this look from TasminS caught my eye immediately =) This skirt has been on my mind a while as I love the colour and design but I’ve always queried how to wear it, this feature is just totally the answer - how creative to layer with this cutout floral piece, it looks genius^ And it gives a great introduction for using black in the rest of the outfit and it looks fab. I love the deep-V velvet top and also the ankle boots, in this situation they don’t make the legs look short at all. The accessories are minimal yet effective and they really let the artistic makeup design stand out!

V E L V E T O R C H I D | Styled By You / / Styled By Me

Recently we got a brand new Velvet Orchid release into the Plaza - it's been a little while since we had new pieces in this store^ Overall the pieces all fit together really well and I like the more minimal colour scheme that the pieces have, a lot of blacks and whites and neutrals that I think will be easy to put together. Right now, nothing stands out to me that I was really wanting to add to my collection, but the accessories are sure on point - so a Style Outfits post instead of a review for this one =) I saw a lot of great looks with this release, first up is Fashion__Victim wearing the Two Tone Playsuit and really showing off it's versatility as a top. It looks easy to pair with skirts and this one is a great fit with the style of the playsuit. The accessories are super glamorous and I think the design of the piece is really highlighted nicely =D
Next up is TasminS going for something a little more colourful while styling the Designer Inspired Plastic Skirt. This is such a great wear for the skirt, the green tones are super pretty and really emphasise the panelling on the skirt well. The belting around the body also really plays on  the style of the skirt too =)
And lastly a styling from JaneDoee83 wearing the Designer Inspired Transparent Plastic Coat. Alike above, the grey tones also make the panels stand out, but I really like that it's worn more as a dress in this styling. The transparency is continued in the Clear Straps Metallic Heels, and this style is also seen in the rather cool sunglasses^ Loving the use of the bright yellows and the bright red lips too =)
And then my stylings! So I mentioned loving the accessories, and those are what I've styled today - on the left the Clear Straps Metallic Heels, which although looking like several other pairs we've had in the Plaza, look great and are a great style of shoe to have to hand in your wardrobe. They're very versatile and so I stayed pretty minimal with this feminine white dress contrasted against the black leather of the jacket and bag, it's not complicated and it works, I like it =) Then on the right is the Ring Handle Clutch, again keeping super minimal. I love this style of bag with the ring handle, so this piece was immediately in my basket^ The spotted dress matches rather nicely, although for some it might be too much of the dots! To counteract that I chose some basic pieces to make the dress into a skirt and I think it works out nicely =)

Metallic layers

Taking metallics to a new level in this styling from TasminS today =D I love the creativity behind the layering choices of the skirt, the patterned mint colour looks amazing with the bronze frill along the hem, such a good combination, and the pair of them are perfect with the nude lace polo chosen. The black jacket is a fitting choice and works well with the black pattern on the mint skirt and also works with the bag and shoes. More metallics in the choker and the belt and I think they work perfectly together - what a great styling overall =D
