The 7 Day LE Challenge: Overview =)

So I just thought I'd do a little overview post of the last wonderful week of LE shoe challenge!

I thoroughly enjoyed the challenge, it meant I was making outfits with a purpose =) And it meant I had to use a specific item - normally if I find styling something difficult, I'll just choose another piece.

It's funny how I ended up styling looks with trousers everyday - my best guess is that all the LE shoes I have are just trouser-shoes! Haha =D

I will definitely set another challenge like this in the future, I think it's great fun to see what I can come up with  and then share it with you guys =)

I'd do more reader challenges too, but no-one ever comments, so you obviously don't want any!

That's all for now - probably no post tomorrow as I have a major test on Friday and I've been studying like crazy and I still don't know loads of things!

The 7 Day LE Shoe Challenge: Day Seven

Oh my word - it's the last day! So this is the final pair of shoes to be styled, they are from the 13th collection and originally cost 60 SD's - though I have found they feature in the StarBazaar quite a lot =)

And they were inspired from these pairs from the John Galliano Fall 2011 RTW collection (and I have to say that whole collection was pretty darn good!):

And also - hello padlocks! These are crazy 'in' right now!

I have loved these shoes ever since I bought them, I never see many people wearing them which is probably why! Although I have styled this pair a few times in the past, I think this outfit is safely within my comfort and style zone.

These are always my go-to trousers when I wear these shoes, the two just work together perfectly, much better than any other pair of trousers in my wardrobe! I went for the blue theme again, but I think it's necessary with these shoes! They'd look good with silver too, but I don't own any silver trousers =( I chose the Chanel jacket for it's details so that I didn't need to add too much to the look, then I went for a simple vest - these are like my absolutely essential items, as you can tell I really rely on them. I added a touch of white and silver with the Chanel bag, I think it works nicely here as blue and silver compliment each other greatly =)

The 7 Day LE Shoe Challenge: Day Six

Wow, so the challenge is almost over! Today I chose these shoes from the 13th collection, which originally cost 45SD's:

They look like Louboutin, but I'm not entirely sure who they're inspired by - if you know, just give me a shout in comments =)

Once the shoes were on my dolls feet I was kinda like "What the heck am I gonna wear with these?!?!", but after I'd chosen a pair of trousers, the rest of the outfit seemed to appear before me quite quickly =)

I chose a more office-chic styled look. The black trousers were a perfect match to the shoes as they're a bit longer than other pairs. To keep the outfit a little light, I chose the white shirt, it has it's own decor with the cute bow, so there's no need for any accessories on it. Finally I added the red bag to tie in the red soles of the shoes - I think it definitely works well =) I have a bit of a red bag shortage, so I had to choose between only two - I would have loved a wider choice, but hey, we can't have everything we want, and I'm glad I at least had one red bag to choose at all =)

The 7 Day LE Shoe Challenge: Day Five

Wow, so day 5 already - this week has passed so quickly! 

I chose these shoes for today. They are from the 13th LE collection and originally cost 50SD's, they are actually quite abundant in the StarBazaar(as are other colours of similar design), so you shouldn't have too much bother finding them =)

They were inspired by this Versace pair from the Spring/Summer 2012 RTW collection:

I enjoyed styling this pair of shoes, so far I think they're one of the most versatile pairs, they work well with many skirts, dresses and trousers. I chose a pretty casual look, keeping the shoes one of the more glam focal points of the outfit.

I decided for a casual outfit with a slight blue theme. I picked quite vibrant denim skinnies, then chose a simple white vest and cardi to really keep it casual and summery(even though we're in October now!). I matched the tiny LE bag in with the theme, and I think it adds a little more glam with its sequins and sparkles =) Overall I think it's a nice outfit, but the shoes can work in a much more high fashion way too!

The 7 Day LE Shoe Challenge: Day Four

So it's day 4, and I chose this pair from the 7th collection. They originally cost 65SD's, however I got mine in the bazaar.

They were inspired by this Marni Pre-Fall 2010 pair: 

At first glance I was very much happy with the shoes, I like their pink colour and they look fairly versatile, but boy how wrong I was! These shoes literally took me 40 minutes to get into a vaguely alright look! I'm really not 100% happy with it either, they literally don't go with anything!

I ended up choosing a similar outfit to one I styled for Rebelle. I went for the glam tee, and kept it casual with the cropped trousers. Then I matched the simple clutch bag to the shoes(no other bag worked well!)

The 7 Day LE Shoe Challenge: Day Three

 Woo, so I've managed to get to day 3 and I'm not bored of the challenge - yay! It's an achievement for me to post everyday, as some of you know I'm not the most reliable blogger!

Today I chose this pair of shoes, they are from the most recent 14th collection and cost 40SD's - currently they aren't available in the StarBazaar, but they should be soon after the next collection has been released =)

I'm not entirely sure who they're inspired by, but Christian Louboutin had a couple of pairs, so I'm drawn to go with that - if anyone know for definite please let me know =)

I thought this pair were quite easy to style actually, I felt like I knew the sort of look I wanted before starting:

 So I chose trousers again, this time a DKNY pair(which I've been yet to wear). I felt like the trousers were a good match to the shoes for some reason, even though they cover most of the shoes I still like the combination. I then added a simple white vest and the Chanel jacket(another item which I haven't worn until today!) - I felt like I needed to use pastels with the outfit really, I didn't want to use too much white as it can look a bit boring, but I think the jacket was a good addition. I finally added a beaded necklace to add detail to the neckline. I think I've also pulled the outfit together nicely with the sequin/sparkle details on the shoes, jacket and necklace =)

The 7 Day LE Shoe Challenge: Day Two

So, day two of the challenge, and I chose this pair of shoes, they are from the most recent 14th collection and cost 45SD's - currently they aren't available in the StarBazaar, but they should be soon after the next collection has been released =)

They were inspired by this pair from Christian Louboutin (who else?!?!):

Like the last pair I styled, they're definitely not immediately jumping out as my style, but I do like a good challenge to make them work! And I think I've managed alright actually. It was difficult at first, because again I was limited to trousers, but I think it works well together =)

I wanted the shoes to be the focal point, so I chose white clothing to really make the black leap out of the image. I tied the clothing in with the shoes though with the black stripes on the jacket(this is the first time I've worn this jacket as well, and I've had it for quite some time!). Then I chose to have a few more splashes of yellow as seen on the sole of the shoes. So I went for a simple yellow belt, and the risk was in the sunglasses! I've never worn them before, and I'm really not sure they suit the look greatly, but I think they look alright and tie in with the colour scheme fine =) I would have had a bag, but I don't have any yellow ones - I really must sort this out!!!

The 7 Day LE Shoe Challenge: Day One

Hey, so it's the first day of the challenge, and I chose this pair of shoes below. They're from the 7th collection  of LE and originally cost 100SD's(my pair came from the good old Bazaar=D)

They were inspired by this pair from Giuseppe Zanotti:

I have to say I can't entirely remember why I bought them as they're really not my usual style and I couldn't immediately think of a way I wanted to wear them, it took me a while to come up with my styling for them - I wanted to make sure I showed off all their straps, so that meant ankle grazers were my only option really(can't bring myself to wear strapped shoes with a skirt or dress - they shorten the leg so much!), but I eventually came up with something that I'm pretty happy with, I think the style of it also goes well with the hair I've chosen to wear!

As they feature black and gold I wanted to have some of those colours in a small way somewhere else in the look, but wanted the main clothing items to be different so it didn't look too dark. I achieved this by going for the fab PPQ trousers, they are an invaluable item, and I think all Stardoll closets should have them, and I also picked a simple white collared blouse. I chose to add the black in the form of the Elle cropped jacket, I think it's the perfect addition as it cuts at the waist where the trousers are so it doesn't swamp the doll as some jackets do! I added the gold in the form of the heart shaped Hot Buys bag - I think this is the piece I'm least sure about with the outfit as I really amn't too sure it works or if it just seems too much! Anyway as of right now I love it =D I think the outfit definitely isn't my usual style, but I think it looks good and has made great use of those lovely LE shoes!

The trials and tribulations of LE shoes =)

Ok, so we often love LE(and often dislike it too!) and love styling outfits showing what limited pieces that we've managed to snap up, but what I find a challenge is styling LE shoes to perfection!

So I feel this calls me to a little challenge: The 7 Day LE Shoe Challenge!

(I do have 8 pairs of LE shoes, but I managed to successfully style one in my last post here!)

And for those of you who, like me, like a little effect on your images:

So basically everyday starting from tomorrow, October 10th, I'll be styling a different pair of LE shoes and posting the outcome here! After I've posted my styling you guys can then make an outfit with the same pair of shoes(either with my doll, or your own if you have the shoes) and post me a link in the comments - then I can add the super cool stylings to the post and get some other readers opinions!
