Delicate darling

A super cute and angelic combination of white pieces today from MissSierr - isn't this just beautiful?! I love the quirky layering of the jeans with the maxi dress, an unusual choice, but actually it looks really good and I like the contrast of clean lines with the ripped hem denim. And layering on the top half too, the sleeves are a beautiful addition and I like the effect that the chain top has above the bustier line of the dress, it's a super interesting feature and the silver fits well with the bag^

I N S P I R E D B Y D I O R | Tribute Review

Our third release this Tribute season is Inspired By Dior - this was super exciting as Dior is a classic brand and has had some great pieces in past Tributes, so this one is bound to be a winner just from the name^ I love the homepage advert, the blue tones are beautiful and show off a great range of the collection - and the background is beautiful, shiny always attracts the eye!
Highlights This release has 2 floors full of pieces in 10 different looks - the size of the store is close to the previous releases and I think there's a really great selection of pieces, it's a pretty decent representation of the original collection which is massive! I really like this collection as a whole =)
Accessories It's an intimate collection of accessories with this release. There are two pairs of boots, the Dior Inspired Caged Booties and High Caged Booties and while these are very true to the original design, they're not a style that stands out to me as one to buy and I think it's because they're flat heeled. I haven't seen anyone else style them either, so maybe this is a mutual feeling? There are also two bags in the collection, the Dior Inspired Logo Saddle Bag and then the smaller Dior Inspired Flap Lock Bag which I love! It's in a fab yellow colour and has a great focus on details. There are also two headpieces, the Midnight Dior Inspired Felt Hat which is more of a classic piece, and the Denim Veil Barret which is a trendy styled beret which is generally a popular style^ Then there are the Dior Inspired Acetate Aviators which are pretty cool, the yellow stands out and the shape is modern. And lastly the Spider Lash Inspired Makeup, which doesn't appeal to me, but I think it will work out well for a lot of others =)
Clothing I was really impressed with the clothing in this release - it's a mix of some great styles and designs, and a lot of the pieces are really stand out, if you wear them they're easily identifiable as Dior! The two floors have quite distinct vibes, with the first being more focused on blues and the second on black+pop of colour, which works well I think.
Dresses The release has 4 dresses, two mini pieces and two which are split length. The Dior Inspired Light Wool Pleated Dress and Dior Inspired Pleated Dress are pretty identical, with the first being wool and the second being a shiny leather style. Both have a corset design on the top with shorts on the bottom and s split skirt over the top. It's not a style I've really thought of wearing but I think the pieces both look very flattering on the doll. The mini pieces are both completely different. The Spider Heart Dress is a black and white piece with a peter-pan collar, short sleeves and a nipped in waist before the skirt - it's not a piece that stands out to me, and it seems out of place in an otherwise great store. Then there is the Mosaic Dior Inspired Shift Dress which I think is quite a sweet piece and I like the glitter effect that the tiny mosaic gives when the piece is on the doll. The shape is good and I like the cutout on the shoulders, I think it's a surprise good piece from the release.
Jumpsuits There's a couple of jumpsuits/body pieces in this release, so I felt they should have their own section. The Dior Inspired Boiler Suit is definitely somewhat of an odd piece, while I think the right stylish person could wear the RL piece, I'm not sure how wearable it will be in the Stardoll world - I think I'd quite like it open, or with the top-half tied around the waist, but I don't know how many different ways I could wear it as is even though I quite like the pleathery texture ... how do you guys feel about this piece?! Let me know in comments! Then there are two bodies, the Dior Inspired Striped Bodysuit which has a little retro vibe in the bright yellow and black stripes. It's got a slimming fit and I really like the look of it in the store. And lastly the Mosaic Orange Playsuit, which I think just looks awesome and it really stands out in the store. The colour is beautiful and I think it suits my doll really nicely, it's another piece that looks glittery from afar but is a mosaic when you look close up, and the bronze colour of the individual pieces is just great^ And again, I think it looks fantastic in the store.
Tops Two shirts comprise the tophalf offerings of the store, and I think they are both good classic styles! You really can't have enough white shirts, the Dior Inspired Tuxedo Blouse is a great addition to my collection of white shirts and it has a fabulous minimal style with little details which make it a stand out piece! The fit is good and I love the detailing of the sleeves. And secondly the Dior Inspired Classic Striped Blouse, which is in a stylish and 'classic' blue and white pinstripe design with a masculine styling that I really like. The sleeves are very blouson-styled and I think it makes it an individual piece. Both look to be versatile and I think they will definitely be some of the most-bought pieces from the store!
Bottoms I'm super pleased with the bottomhalves in the store - 5 choices, 2 pairs of trousers and 3 skirts. In the trousers are a classic style in the Dior Inspired Front Pleat Pants which were an immediate purchase for me - I love their minimalism and their sleek cut, they're flattering on the doll, and I also love that their in a navy, it makes them stand out in my wardrobe. The design is timeless and they're a lasting piece^ And then there are jeans in the Dior Inspired Wide Leg Denim, these are a funky pair of jeans with unique panelling, they stand out amongst all the other jeans in the Plaza! I like the blue tones they have, and the high waisted fit works well on all dolls. The skirts: the Dior Inspired Fringe Midi Skirt was the second immediate purchase for me, this skirt is amazing!!! I love the fringe design and the colours are so pretty, it's also in a great length and has a good fit overall, I don't see anything not to love about it! And the final skirts are essentially the same, the Dior Inspired Tuille Skirt in a yellow tone and the Polka Dot Dior Inspired Tuille Skirt in an orange - they're sweet pieces which look great in the store and make good layering options. They look nice on the doll and again they have a nice midi length.
Outerwear And the last category of clothing, the 4 outerwear choices. And I think they really are all fab pieces. 3 of them match bottoms in the release, while there is one stand alone piece, and that is the Oversized Dior Inspired Coat. I really love this piece, it's a masculine-shirt style but I adore the little details on the pockets and cuffs, they really make it an individual piece. Then there is the Double Breasted Christian Jacket, in panelled denim to match the Dior Inspired Wide Leg Denim, it's an oversized piece in the popular over-shoulder style, so that alone will probably make it a popular piece. I quite like the unique style for a denim jacket, we sure don't have anything else like it. Next is the Dior Inspired Fringe Jacket matching the Dior Inspired Fringe Midi Skirt, I think this is the best combination, I love the fringing and the colour, and this jacket has such a spring-jacket-shaping. It's a little loose on the doll, but not too loose so it doesn't look good. I haven't seen so many people wearing it, so I'm not sure how popular it is, but I really like this one^ And the final coat is the Navy Safari Jacket to match with the Dior Inspired Front Pleat Pants. It's a very neat piece and is fitted well to the doll. I think it will be a good layering piece with its minimal style and design, but again it's one I haven't seen a focus on in stylings.
Prices This release ranges from 10 to 38SD's, with none of the pieces being limited to SS or Royalty, so everything is available to everyone. These prices are in line with previous Tributes and I don't think anything is too outrageously priced for what it is =)
Styled Outfits So much fun working with this release! My first look uses both the Dior Inspired Tuxedo Blouse and Oversized Dior Inspired Coat, and I really liked using the accents on the coat in the accessories, so I chose these glittered boots and this pastel Dior bag to go with it and I love it! Also choosing Dior in these trousers, the minimal base sets it all up for the coat and accessories =) The second look uses the Dior Inspired Front Pleat Pants and while I was desperate to use the Dior Inspired Flap Lock Bag with them, it just didn't work out with the rest of the outfit, which I really like. The navy looks great with purple, I love pairing the trousers with these booties and jacket and the top came along very naturally. They are really versatile trousers so will work in so many different looks^ And the final outfit wearing the Dior Inspired Fringe Midi Skirt and I was feeling inspired by New Years for this one adding silver to it - this glitzy jacket is a fabulous addition and I think it looks good with the skirt fringing too. It may be a bit over the top, but I quite like it, and the boots too, loving the slouchy style of them with the midi skirt length =D
Features And now for the host of features - this Tribute sure is a popular one! First up larissa-goldie, wearing the Dior Inspired Classic Striped Blouse and the Dior Inspired Logo Saddle Bag. I like the shirt paired with the jumpsuit, it keeps the focus of the shirt on the sleeves, and I don't mind the large amount of black in the added clothing, I think it helps make the white on the shirt pop out. I like the bag in the look too, the logo is more minimal tucked behind the jumpsuit.
Next up is lilicyLady wearing the Polka Dot Dior Inspired Tuille Skirt in this sheer focused look. I really like the skirt on it's own without any layering, it really makes the look stand out, and the plan black suit underneath looks good. The glittering bolero looks amazing, it's a piece I've really never seen before and it's great here, it sits at the right point on the waist and it's got just the right amount of glamour^ The accessories are minimal but perfectly fitting to the style!
This next feature from MissSierr piles on a lot of the collection, the Dior Inspired Tuxedo Blouse, Dior Inspired Light Wool Pleated Dress, Dior Inspired Acetate Aviators and the Dior Inspired Flap Lock Bag - you'd think it might be too much, but definitely not! I like the layering of the dress and shirts, the ruffled off-shoulder piece looks good to pair the skirting and the smart white shirt. The yellow pops out nicely and fits the overall vibe well =)
And some more yellow in this styling from SakuraDream using the Dior Inspired Flap Lock Bag and Dior Inspired Striped Bodysuit layered with some classic black pieces. I like the style of the body with that of the jeans, I think it suits really well, especially with the accessorising with this belt. It's a good way to wear this body in a winter styling, and fits very nicely with the January Wearing post as well!
Also going with one of the dresses is Vetala, choosing the shiny Dior Inspired Pleated Dress along with the Dior Inspired Logo Saddle Bag and the High Caged Booties, and while these boots definitely don't work for me, I think they look good on this doll and in this styling. The dress may be styled alone but I think it works to sell the collection. I like the beret along with the delicate jewellery chosen, but that deep lip is definitely a winner!
And the final in the clothing stylings, and a whole set of 4, from France25! I love the casual-ness and cool-ness of the whole outfit featuring the Dior Inspired Wide Leg Denim, they look great with the bright orange and I like the more formal style of the overcoat. Can't resist the silky pink with the Dior Inspired Fringe Midi Skirt too, but loving the final look with the Mosaic Orange Playsuit - it's another casual sort of styling and looks good with the neutral tones of the clothing and also the golden and orange accents =)
The final feature is one making use of the interior from the store from tolady - it's kept minimal, but with enough pieces to hold interest and make you have a good look around, and it's also a good space to show off an outfit! I like the use of plants and flowers, as well as the lighting branches at the ladder. I really like the use of the modern silver table on the right, as well as it's decor, it's a good fit for the room^

I N S P I R E D B Y S A I N T L A U R E N T | Tribute Review

Holiday Tribute season is here! Not sure how many we'll get in total, but here is our first, Inspired By Saint Laurent, bringing the latest collection which you can tell from the homepage advert which has a classic styling and chic black and white design - it grabs your attention and looks oh so chic!
Highlights So two floors for this store, and including one male look in the line up, overall it's about the regular size for a Tribute. This one is based completely off of the Spring 2018 collection of Saint Laurent, complete with a runway-based interior - I was lucky enough to see the real one when I was in Paris on the day of the show this year! I think it's a pretty good collection overall and I'm excited to work with it on my doll =D
Accessories This release has a really nice range of accessories to choose from - but the first thing I notice is a lack of bags! However when you look at the original collection, there isn't a bag in sight^ There are 3 pairs of shoes, and I think they're very seasonally appropriate and all very stylish, first the Saint Laurent Feather Sandals which really are as the name describes. They're pretty delicate and in a versatile black so easy to wear. I like the detail in the strapping across the foot, it looks elegant. Then two pairs of boots, the Black and Electric Blue Feather Thigh Highs, which do seem quite outrageous and out there, but I think actually could be pretty decent. I'm yet to buy them, and I've only seen one person wear either of these pairs since the release, but I think they could be handy to have in the wardrobe^ And there's a couple of extras to be had as well. The Wide Suede Safari Belt is a pretty nice piece, I like the colours and textures it has, but it doesn't entirely seem to fit with the rest of the collection. Then some jewellery with the Saint Laurent Inspired Diamond Hoops (two individual earrings, you get the second when you buy one^) and the Saint Laurent Inspired Necklace, both great pieces and fitting to the collection. They've got a glamorous style and are minimal on the colour front which makes them pretty easy to work with clothing.
Clothing And the main focus of the release, the clothes! There is a very glamorous vibe to the clothes, partly which comes from the original designs and partly from the pieces chosen for inclusion in this release. I also really like that there is quite a classic feel, with most pieces in black or white, which makes them reasonably easy to wear with other items. I think I will start with dresses - there is quite the focus on the mini length, which all 4 of them are. There are also a range of textures and materials used. Firstly feathers and fur with the Feather Ball Dress, which is very glamorous and stand-out, and very much a party-piece, and the Feathered Shoulder Dress, something much more minimal, with a simple body to the dress and then feathers coming out from the neckline - neither of these pieces are really my style, but I think they could look good on the right individual! The other two dresses have differing textures, the Lace Ballerina Dress is the more feminine piece focusing on a lace top half and a tulle tutu-style skirting. It's the sort of piece I could like if the neckline wasn't quite so plunging and the skirt length was a little longer. And the final dress, the Leather Corset Dress, which the name describes, is in a patent leather, which I like the look of actually, but again the short (very short) length puts me off a little ... it might actually make a really nice top instead of a dress, so that's something to consider if you like the idea of the piece! There's also a jumpsuit available, which is one of the more stand-out pieces in the store because of it's pretty colouring; the Silk Thread Playsuit is a shiny silk with blue base and autumnal-toned printing, plus it comes with a belt. The only thing I dislike would be the short leg length rather than a trouser, but that's completely personal preference.
While speaking about leg length, shorts do feature strongly in the bottomhalf choices of the release with two pairs to choose from - the Suede Mini Shorts and the High Waisted Leather Shorts. I have a strange relationship with shorts, I always think they might be a good idea but never really find they are and never really find myself styling them. So while I like the cute tassel additions on the Suede pair and the lovely shape of the Leather pair, I don't think I'd actually ever style them well enough! However I do really like the Black Classic Belted Pants - these are a minimal piece, which look good and fit the doll really well. And I think they'll be really easy to wear in a lot of different outfits with a lot of different pieces. And to go with those bottomhalves, you need some tops, of which there are 6 to choose from, and in a really good range as well =) Let's start with the two bodies that the store has to offer in contrasting colours, the black Saint Laurent Inspired Body and the white Heart Shaped Victorian Body, which also offer contrasting styles with the first a little harder and tight fitting, and the second feminine and loose with delicate frills and lace. The Lace Victorian Puff Blouse also pairs really nicely with the Heart Shaped Victorian Body with the same sort of style vibe going on with it - for me the Blouse is more wearable, but that's just my way of wearing clothes^ Also sheer and a little puff-sleeved is the Gold Speckled Blouse which I think was the first piece I saw and loved immediately from the store - it just looks so elegant and chic and I love the discrete design with frills and ruffles, just perfect! The final piece I want to mention is another stand-out due to the bold colour, the Fuschia Puff Silk Puff Blouse, a snazzy off-shoulder top with amazing texture and puff-sleeves, it just emanates cool-ness! Far too cool for me as well, I really like it but I don't think I'd be able to do it the justice it deserves!!!
Prices This release ranges from 14 to 37SD's, which I think is pretty good for a Tribute, there's really not a lot at the top end of the range. Plus there's no items which are SS/Royalty only, so everyone can buy every piece =)
Styled Outfits I think I could have felt a little more glamorous when styling such a glamorous Tribute, but nevermind, I think I came up with some good ways to fit these new pieces into my own style =) So first up the Wide Suede Safari Belt which I liked because it looks kinda like one from Fendi last Tribute season, and I didn't buy that and regretted it, so no regret this time! I was envisaging wearing it over some sort of woollen cream coat ... the perfect one doesn't exist in either my own wardrobe or the Plaza, so that idea is long gone (but maybe in the future!) I have settled for this cream sweater with this midi brown skirt, both of the tones really let the belt pop and stand out, so I think it works out well for it! The oversized fur is a good colour match, however I don't think the outfit does anything for my doll's shape! I couldn't find the perfect bag, but I do think I found perfect boots^ The second outfit uses the Gold Speckled Blouse, which is a little more sheer than I first thought - my solution was to use the It Girls Mesh Knitted Neck Top and I'm really pleased with the combination for the blouse. I stayed very minimal with black trousers, the blouse is pretty easy to work with a high-waisted bottomhalf and belt, this is one of many pairings I tried out^ Shoes were again pretty simple - I did attempt to find a bag, but none of the ones which looked good with the colour scheme looked great in terms of shape and vice versa, so no bag with this one! And finally the Saint Laurent Inspired Body with the Saint Laurent Inspired Diamond Hoops - both of these pieces are unusual options for me to choose, but I quite liked them this time round. I kept super minimal as there are enough sparkles in the two pieces for the whole look and chose smart black trousers with pointed heels and a hanging jacket plus classic Chanel bag. This outfit works, my eye is drawn to the Saint Laurent pieces immediately so it does the job nicely =D
Features And now so many features for you guys to check out - I found so many good ones, it seems this collection is a fan favourite =D First up is andre1396 wearing the Leather Corset Dress - and wearing it very well as a dress! The polo makes a great base layer for the dress and makes it more wearable, as does the addition of these thigh high boots which cover most of the skin. Plus they have a nice velvet texture against the leather. I love the mystery that they round hat adds covering most of the face with the veil too^
A couple of looks next with the Fuschia Puff Silk Puff Blouse which does seem pretty popular! France25 wears it with the Saint Laurent Inspired Diamond Hoops and pairs it with a rather fabulous fuschia eyeshadow look. The black pieces in the rest of the look make a solid grounding for the fuschia, and I love the neck tie and draping length to the ankle. And not only has the Fuschia Puff Silk Puff Blouse been styled here, there are some fabulous additional stylings in the background =)
Then also in the Fuschia Puff Silk Puff Blouse is polinapolinka going for a more causal styling choosing a light and ripped denim, completely different but also very much working well for the piece! I like the little additions to this styling, like the red belt-bag, the quirky shoes, and the very fitting makeup look - it's perfect for the style!
Moving on to something a little more subdued from juliette116 with the Lace Victorian Puff Blouse in this layered styling. The sleeves look fantastic contrasted against the velvet black vest ontop of the blouse, they really stand out. Love the dusted pink trousers and all those accessories chosen, they suit the styling well =)
A second styling with the Lace Victorian Puff Blouse comes from MissSierr, but also adds the Silk Thread Playsuit and wearing it as a shirt - I think it looks good! It layers nicely with the jeans, which is a little surprising to me, so maybe I should give this a go. The lace looks nice in the deep V of the playsuit and matches with the white jeans well. Love the black accessories, I think them paired with the white really make the look pop!
rob_sef7 has indeed been wearing a lot of black-based looks recently and this is a good one to add to the archive^ Featuring just the Saint Laurent Inspired Diamond Hoops, this is a great way to sell them! They look fantastic with the black shirt and silver glittered maxi tulle skirt, plus with the red lip, that is a great beauty choice for them^
Now something bright for you to look at, from Marta-43 wearing one of the Saint Laurent Inspired Diamond Hoops and also the Electric Blue Feather Thigh Highs - I am so glad to see someone wear these boots, and in such an amazing way! I think that this gives me hope that they really can look great, we all just need a little time to think about how to style them =) I also love the earring combination, they're a stylish pairing.
And finally from this style-queen pandaribbon! Four great looks featuring pieces from this release. I really quite love the first look with the Lace Victorian Puff Blouse layered on top of this blue dotted dress. The orange stands out so well, such a great combination. The second is also pretty nice combining the Heart Shaped Victorian Body with the silk pink floral skirt, they're a cute pairing that's inspiring me to buy the body^

White winter

I've already posted one light and bright look in December, and here's another that's totally white and winter and angelic - from MissSierr! I'm a huge fan of white, but I'm no good at this layering and creating pieces thing, it's totally not my forte, but it looks so good here! The white piece on top is one of my favourite summer dresses, and this outfit brings it into use in the winter which is awesome^ I love the pieces used to give a light and fluffy edging to the outfit, and the feathering the the skirt, I think it looks amazing and like one. The accessories are cute and fitting, love the pom pom shoes and the gemstone earrings plus the makeup =D

Pretty bold in pink

'On Wednesday's, we wear pink' - I totally didn't plan this when I scheduled the feature, but yes there's a lot of pink this Wednesday coming to you from MissSierr! It's not too much, the pinks work together, from the matching trousers and over-shoulder jacket to the contrasting blazer-dress ... the furry trimming skirting looks great and breaks up the blocks of colour well. The accessories are good too, the furry strapped heels and the cool street-chain necklace, I like it^

R O Y A L T Y | Styled By You / / Styled By Me

At the end of the week there we got a brand new Royalty release in the Plaza, and it was another pop-star inspired one. To be honest I'm not a huge fan, as I'd rather wearable pieces rather than out there, and only sometimes iconic, items worn by current stars - some of whom I don't even know! I did manage to make a small purchase, but instead of a mediocre review I decided on a Styled post, which I think is much preferred^ First up, some features, and the male Batik Oversized Jacket sure is a popular piece as styled in these two looks! Firstly ThePerpetua, going for all grey tones in the outfit. Like the faded jeans to match the same style as the jacket but I also like the softness added by the sweater plus the one tied around the waist. The look is definitely glammed up a little by the sweet tied heels (super jealous of these^) and the delicate choker - love it! And secondly Mh91 choosing darker colours to let the grey pop. Love the sporty style emphasised with the use of these striped trousers. The accessories are great, love the little Gucci bag and the huge silver earrings, I think they work really nicely =D
Also featured is MissSierr going with the Denim Embellished Coat and Back Piece, I've been contemplating this piece since I saw it in the store and I'm still a little unsure but this look definitely helps! I think it's perfect paired with this Gucci skirt, the tones are just right, and I love the sticker-printed top, adding a street style to the pretty print on the skirt. Also love the highlighting of the red in the shoes, bags and lip colour =)
And so I decided to purchase the Wide Leg Tuxedo Pants which are definitely one of the most minimal pieces from the release, but also one of the more everyday-wearable I'd say, so for me they're more worth the money than other items in the collection. I totally own several pairs of trousers which are very similar to these, but I still couldn't resist and I'm really pleased with how my stylings turned out =D I really tried to get a range of looks and I think that was achieved, going with a cropped jacket in the first one, no jacket in the second and choosing a little colour in the third. Their high-waist really makes them an appealing piece for cropped jackets and sweaters and tops and I really played on that, they're a perfect piece for this Nelly Notion Blazer! I won't say too much else as I really think the outfits speak for themselves, but I do love the belted-bag combination I chose for my second styling, I think it works well to combine the trousers and this sweet ruffled top^

Selection of sleeves

Occasionally it's nice to see someone trying to hold onto the summer in this styling from MissSierr. This yellow midi dress looks good as a skirt, but it was the combination of sleeves which made me go 'yep!' about this look! The netting is so stylish and pretty, it suits underneath this batwing polo so well, I'm surprised I haven't seen it trialled before^ Anyways, also great accessories, white and gold keeping it classic, the platform shoes stand out particularly well along with the golden Chanel cuffs under the netting =D

Tweed tan

A slightly more warmer look from MissSierr today, but tweed and tan work together well! I think these trousers have been a little passed over since their release so this look is most welcome and they look pretty good with a basic black polo and a tan coat - you can't go wrong^ I love the cap and the braids, they really work this look as does the beauty choice. Some perfect eye makeup going on there =D

Browns and nudes

Coming into the spring weather with this look from MissSierr! Making good use of these PPQ trousers too which I just featured in my WEARING post, what a coincidence, and this is another good style for them with all those tan shades. The bag and the hat work perfectly together, but I really also like the laced heels, they're not a typical style I'd go for but they work well with both the whole outfit and the trousers^

Suite Style

Both a great look and suite room in this feature from MissSierr today! The outfit looks great pairing white with glitter and shimmer with the accessories and the jacket, I really love it as a twist on the white minimal that I adore so much =) And the room is looking pretty fine itself^ It's split nicely with a little perspective off the back through the curtains and there's plenty going on in the foreground too. I really like these long tables, and this sofa and fur seat combination is a great one and completely catches my attention. I also very much like the wood stairs and decor pieces at the bottom, a very nice touch^

Greys

A monochrome style look today from MissSierr, and it totally matches the weather here! I really hadn't paid much attention to this Apres Ski Cloud Marabou Cardigan before, but this look has really converted me to this stylish piece, perfect for the upcoming season, and it's awesome paired with the Casual Sweater from Original Future. Both pieces look great with the simple black hareem trousers and the hair and beauty look is simple yet stunning!
