I N S P I R E D B Y A N N A S U I | Tribute Review

Ok, so apparently this is the real start to the Tribute season, but who knows?! Anna Sui is here! I had no idea what brands or designers would be coming our way - we've had an Anna Sui release before which wasn't really in my style (6 years ago!?!) but this is totally different - even from the advertising I'm seriously impressed by this one, it sets the bar high for this season of releases =D
Highlights At first glances, I really think this is a great release! There are two floors filled with 12 looks of the recent releases and I think while there is an overwhelming boho style throughout, I do think there are some very versatile individual pieces on offer if you give them a chance^
Accessories The accessories category is mostly shoes - there are 7 pairs, 3 matching pairs of heels, platforms, and 3 pairs of boots, and I really quite like them all! There are two styles of boot to choose from, ankle with the Anna Sui Inspired Glitter Boots which come in a navy patent which I just think is amazing, and then knee-highs with the Anna Sui Inspired Boots Tan and Black which have a country vibe to them but some great detailing, I think they look really good on the doll! And the heels, the Anna Sui Inspired Stiletto Rose, Green and Pink, again I like them all^ They have a kitten-height heel and some cute strap detailing across the foot, I love this style =) There is just one bag, the Butterfly Boho Handbag, but I don't find it that stand out or impressive. There are some other fun pieces, like the Faux Fur Scarf which slings around the body from being held in both hands, and the Anna Sui Inspired Flower Headwear which I think is super pretty, while totally different for me I really like this on my doll! And there are a couple of pieces of jewellery, both the Lace Feather Long Necklace and Anna Sui Inspired Feather Choker have a feathered boho theme to them, while the Blue Kobal Earrings are a little different, a draping long pair with great details!
Clothing There are so many pieces, I find with all the sparkles and bold prints that my eyes are drawn all over the place! There are 6 dresses and I love that each one is unique and completely different to the others, there's prints, patterns, pale and dark tones. I'm a real fan of the florals, the Moon Dust Embroidered Sequins Dress is a stunning halterneck piece in neutral colours with just a few floral motifs and it's covered in sequins, and the Ditsy Daze Dress, which is a perfect autumnal piece with long sleeves and a high neck, the blue tone to the base is just beautiful! More boho styles include the Graphic Print Boho Dress which has a beautiful aubergine colouring and fringing on the hem, and the Iridescent Jacquard Dress which has such a rich colour palate and great detailing on the bodice and sleeves. There are a couple of co-ord sets which are just so pretty - I love the Embroidered Metallic Mesh Top and Skirt sooo much, they're in a pretty nude base colour with sequins and a delicate pattern and wrapping. They look great together but could also work separately - the same can be said for the Ditsy Daze Blouse and Corduroy Pants which have a cute tiny floral print in the same blue as the dress, so cute, especially the blouse with it's high neck and long sleeves! And lastly of course the Stripe Velvet Jacket and Pants, I think this is such a great set! I love the brown and pink tones and the casual fit to the pieces, the Jacket is especially appealing to me, can't wait to wear it^
There are so many shirts/tops on offer, 6 on top of the pieces I've already mentioned, and with quite a victorian twist to the boho theme. The Rows Of Flowers Lace Blouse and Folage Blouse are similar lacy intricate pieces in black and rust red respectively with high necks and long sleeves. The other 4 pieces are quite neutral and very boho, whites with the Flower Silk Blouse (which has a cool square neckline) and Victorian Blouse, some light florals with the Anna Sui Inspired Boho Blouse which has really cute sleeves. The Flower Pink Cropped Shirt also has very nice sleeves, I like the blouson style, the frill and the tied waist too^ And there are a few bottomhalves, they're all quite minimal but not really my style, however I do like the look of the Anna Sui Inspired Jeans, they're something a little different with pastel applique and detailing on a light wash denim.
Prices This release ranges from 16 to 38SD's, this is a similar range to previous Tribute releases. And nothing is SS or Royalty, the only limit will be the summer availability =)
Styled Outfits I tried out dark hair! I had fun trying this colour and style and I'll give it a go another time too, I think my doll looks so different! First up I wore the Moon Dust Embroidered Sequins Dress very minimally with nude heels and a green floral bag which actually I think works pretty well with the colours of the piece =) Next the Embroidered Metallic Mesh Top and Skirt which work perfectly on their own, but I needed to style it somehow, and so this great trench was a good fit with the pink tone ... again neutral heels, but they work so well to let the pieces stand out on their own! And finally the Anna Sui Inspired Boots Tan which I really love and haven't seen anyone else wear! I love this minimal white styling really letting them stand out in the styling, they work so well with many neutral base tones and I'm excited to see more people working with them - I think they work in this style so well!

Features And the features - there are so many! First up 3melekbir_arada going with the Anna Sui Inspired Checked Dress and totally smarting up this boho style with the use of a dark fitted blazer, but I think it works! The white accessories add a light modern touch, love the fishnets and the jewellery, I think those draping necklaces, particularly the Chanel, look great!
Next up bloom_xx_layla going with the Anna Sui Glitter Tights and also the Victorian Blouse which is layered well with feminine flouncy skirting but also this perspex and pink coat - the glitter on the legs is definitely what pops! They look great with the striped socks and I think these shoes are a perfect finishing touch^
This outfit from cinderela23barb is all about autumn - the Folage Blouse has a beautiful colour on its own but looks amazing and really stands out with this burnt orange skirting, such a fab idea! I love the rest of the browns in the look, the sheeny hair is totally perfect, and I like just the little touch of LV bag that can be seen =)
Perfect for right now in the next look - the Blooms Crinkle Chiffon Duster worn by crazysweetcrazy! It's a great pairing for swimwear and poolside style and these orange pieces are very complimentary for the piece. Love the neutral heels and also the sunglasses, but the orange eyeshadow is awesome and totally draws you in!
Back to blue with Crystal_Harris wearing the Ditsy Daze Dress styling it up with some fabulous additions! Plus the Blue Kobal Earrings^ The white shirt sleeves look great, and really highlight the intricate floral print in the middle section of the dress. Those silver boots are also perfect and I love the big blue bag - a great touch^
Millaxx goes with a feminine styling using the Anna Sui Inspired Jeans and I think this styling really sells this piece to me! The printing and applique on the jeans is highlighted well by the pieces used, the body in pastel pink adds a slim silhouette and the perspex jacket adds well to that and also the colours on the jeans - the cropped-ness of it works well to show the jean design. And I think the hems stand out well too with the use of these heels =D
Sticking with a more feminine style is Nejtl wearing the Victorian Blouse in this adorable pairing with the tulle layered skirt which I love! This skirt can be tricky to wear but it's great with this blouse and the two styles suit each other nicely. The accessories are stylish yet neutral, both the heels and bag look great in there - as does the cool big bouncy hairstyle!
And last but not least, something darker - RiManiKordenty wearing the Rows Of Flowers Lace Blouse which definitely stands out in this styling! The textures of the pieces on the bottom half are great and work well with the lacy design, going with all black lets the white detailing pop, as with the pearl earrings and the super shimmer on the cheeks =)

Red stripe pop

Blue and red are a current combination and I love the overall effect of it in this styling by Crystal_Harris! This slip-style dress is a cool one, I like the cutout patterning and pastel underlay but I didn't take the chance to buy the dress because I was unsure how to style it - this look completely does it justice! I love the colouring of the dress with the coat, they're a good match and I love the subtlety added in the red checking which is continued in bold choices with the shoes and necklace, they work so well! The pop of colour attracts you to the look and I think really finish the styling nicely =)

Suite Style

Blues have been so great in decor and homewear the past few months or so, and this suite design from Crystal_Harris is no exception to the rule! The wall with just a small portion of blue with white wood gives a good base for the room with the wooden flooring. I love the dusted blue fireplace, it suits the room style and the colour is perfection. It's been decorated really well too, as have the rest of the surfaces in the room like the shelving and the table. I also love the green touches, they work greatly and really pop. The quilted style to the seating and the pouffe also is great and I think really stands out =D

L E D E C O R | Release Review

LE Decor was released last week and I panic-purchased on the app in case things ran out, but I had nothing to worry about and I ended up being super happy with my purchases! It's been a little while since we've had Decor but I think the homepage advert alone raises excitement levels as it's just downright awesome! Gold, velvet, navy, and cat ... a lot of loves all in one place =D
Highlights The store is based in an elegant ballroom-esque room with a shiny wooden floor, a neutral grey wall and golden decorations, the gold alone gives it bonus points for me^ The pieces however aren't fitting into the same style however I like the pieces included and I think everything is designed well and has been thought out from the designers =)
Furniture There are a few large furniture items available from the store, however furniture doesn't seem to be to focus for this release. In seating there are the Three Seat Velvet Sofa and Velvet Royal Armchair, which I think are a good pairing. And then there are a couple of tables, the Onyx Marble Coffee Table and the Iron Glass Coffee Table which offer the two different heights, which I quite like - I'm yet to master the best way to style the shorter coffee tables, so that's something for me to work on before I make the step to purchase an LE one^ I'd also include the Mid Century Fireplace in the furniture category. I love seeing people style fireplaces really well, and most people get them into the rooms nicely, but I haven't found that ability yet! Lastly there are two rugs in the release and I really quite like both of them. The Blue White Art Deco Rug seems the most useable to me, but the Oriental Round Carpet is also quite a nice piece, and in the right room I think it could really work out well.
Decorations For me it's clear that the focus of the store is on smaller more decorative pieces rather than furniture items, and that's all fine by me, as I find they go a lot further in suite design than a sofa would, for example. A lot of the pieces really stood out as fitting right in with my interior style - I love paintings, especially the black and white colours of both the Elephant Photo Print and the Oyster Poster and I think they would work well in a lot of situations. Also in wall decorations is the pretty Round Oxidated Mirror, a very popular piece from what I've seen that I think will look good in a lot of minimal and Scandinavian suite styles. And the last of the larger pieces, from both nature and electricals - the Teracotta Plant Pot and Modern Chandelier, both pieces which I really like individually for design, but the light I'm probably more on the fence about regarding how to use it really well in my suite. And then there's the smaller, more table-top and versatile pieces in the store, which I think are the most popular as they are not only the cheapest, but the easiest to work into already completed rooms without needing a huge makeover! So I'm talking the Bubbly Pitcher, Glass Tea Pot, the super pretty lighting of the Octopus Candlestick and Halo Candle Holder, and the very fashionable Large and Small Stack Fashion Magazines - all pieces which look great in the store and in your suite^
Prices The cost of pieces ranges from 26 to 85SD's, but it's just the interior which is at the top end - most pieces I think are well priced for what they are and their style plus design. I don't really have any complaints here!
Styled Suite I haven't done a huge amount with the pieces, nor used everything yet, but I came up with a basis for one of my free rooms with the pieces - I particularly like the tone of the interior I chose and the blue hue works well with most of the pieces, especially the Blue White Art Deco Rug and I stuck with similar colours choosing the Velvet Royal Armchair - there's more to be done for sure, but I'm happy with my room so far =D
Features I've seen quite a few people making huge use of the pieces from the release over the past few days, and I've got some awesome ones to share with you here! First up Miver making use of the LE Opulent Decor Interior and the basic furniture pieces along with quite a few of the decor items. I particularly love the table decorations and arrangement. Also very much liking this outfit, minimal and trendy and fitting with the room =D
Secondly something a little brighter from ajenkam, who has gone for decorating with a lot of the smaller items, including the Navy Faux Fur Throw, Pancakes With Blueberries and Large and Small Stack Fashion Magazines. The items fit seamlessly into previously designed rooms with other furniture and interiors and is great to see =)
Next up is this room from Crystal_Harris, also choosing a darker grey but not from the new interior in the store. I love the use of the mix of furniture pieces and small items from the store together and with previously available items - especially the navy and gold together, it looks good and it stands out attractively. An absolutely great room =)
And last but not least, a room from pheobe_1994, choosing just a few smaller items to complete a room. It works well and the pieces themselves stand out amongst plenty of other things in the room, so that's a good thing^ I really like the use of the whites and greys as the base for the room as they let the darker Elephant Photo Print stand out, and also the green chaise long which fits well with the Bubbly Pitcher - those splashes of green are great and really make your eyes look at all aspects of the room!

B I Z O U | Release Review

Brand new Bizou on Friday, which was unexpected I think! But it's a perfect summer release with those bright colours and the homepage advert really sells it well! Plus looking awesome with those natural beauty looks =D
So there was the usual one floor of items and it's really packed well with goodies^ There's a couple of menswear pieces, with the Two Tone Slim Shirt really fitting in with the style of the rest of the items available for us girls. Your focus is drawn right in as soon as you see the store with the bright yellow tones in fashionable styles, and I really love it.
Accessories are pretty good with this release, in fact everything really holds its own place in the store and it's quite easy to purchase everything as nothing is too similar but all fits together nicely. I love both the Burgundy Dior Inspired Bag and the Clean Angles Purse which looks very Sophie Hulme, they both have great shapes and colours and so far have worked well when I've tried them - so look forward to those eventually in the Bag It Up Challenge! The shoes are also great with two different styles going in the denim-blue Blue Suede Stilettos and the fabulously bright Silk Knot Mules. I've been loving mules so these are a great addition to my collection^
Then there's the clothing - with so many great pieces to choose from! My eyes really were torn with what to look at first with this release because there are some wonderful things to be had. With dresses, there's a few to choose from, but I found myself going with a classic first, the Crisp White Fitted Dress - the shape is flattering as is the length and overall style, and it's a versatile piece that I can see working in many different looks. If you're wanting something more on the cute side, then you'll have to go with the DG Inspired Daisy Dress which has the perfect summer feel to it. In bottomhalves I found quite a few pieces I knew I had to have - the first being the Fendi Inspired Print Skirt, and it's so incredible we've gotten this on Stardoll, feeling very lucky! More Fendi like this please Stardoll^^^ Anyways, I also really love the French Riviera Trousers, they do look very similar to a few other pairs that have been released to the Plaza, but I don't feel like I can have too many pairs of trousers like these and I'll happily dress them up or down in a variety of styles. Then there's a few tops to be had, although I didn't feel myself loving these as much as other pieces. The Stella McCartney Inspired Top is super pretty with the delicate green floral print and I think it could look amazing in the right outfit. Then there's the Perfectly Styled Cardie in a lovely neutral stone colour which I think is just right for it as a piece. A few years ago this would have been right up my street, but I'm not so sure I'd enjoy styling it so much now as my style and loves have changed a lot - I'm sure someone will do it justice though! Lastly there's also bikini separates on offer, the Cannes Bikini Top and Bottoms, the latter being available in coins. I love the frilled off shoulder style and think this will be a pretty popular piece to style.
Prices for this release range between 7 and 20SD's and I think most pieces have been priced well for their style and what they are, no complaints there - but the cost quickly adds up when you buy a lot like I did, oops =D
Now my styled outfits - I was super excited to make these! Firstly I've gone with the Crisp White Fitted Dress paired with the Silk Knot Mules. The blue of the top I've added and the orange really work nicely against each other and the white keeps a neutral feel - couldn't resist adding this blazer! Then I've gone for the Fendi Inspired Print Skirt in another neutral style choosing this bow blouse and white heels (these are from the latest Museum Mile release). A bright bag was definitely needed, and orange is a good summer choice. In my final (very summery) look I've worn the Cannes Bikini Top - this typically isn't my style but I think this top warrants it and I've really worn it as a top rather than part of a bikini. I love it with these fringed PPQ jeans and the yellow of the accessories, a great beach look =D
And finally a few quick features! Firstly Crystal_Harris going with the Chic Two Tone Earrings in a very chic and two-tone look overall. I really love this styling and I really think the earrings stand out well, plus the beauty look is super complimentary^
Then two looks with the Cannes Bikini Top. Firstly miver, going with a denim style and summery accessories in the laced sandals and a cute nautical bag along with some hot shades. I love the lip colour and the hair choice, both really work with the style of the top.
And then secondly singiel, choosing a blue focus in her skirted look. The shades of blue work nicely and the heels make it a very pretty feminine look overall. A neutral beauty style works perfectly here =D
