Last weeks Mr. release wasn't overall suited to 'making do' with the pieces fitting onto female dolls, but there was one piece that stood out - the Pale Trench Coat. After seeing millaxx's styling of it, that gave me to push I needed to purchase this one and try it out for myself, and I'm glad I did! In millaxx's look it's all about the smart-casual vibes, I think the coat looks great with these loose-fit blue jeans and the knitted sweater, the colour of which is a great complementary colour to the coat itself. The accessories bring the glamour, with Chanel and Saint Laurent both added - I particularly like these trainers with the coat^ For my own styling I've opted for a dressier base to the look, I really liked this combination of the boots and the bag with the coat, the pale tones working well together across the three pieces. I did try out a selection of beige trousers with this, but nothing was quite working or was a perfect colour match to the coat, so I opted for white which I think helps make the look pop. I kept with a simple black sweater to complete the outfit as I think that balances well with the black in the boots and bag. Overall I really love this cute simple, and quick to put together, outfit, I'm so pleased I picked up this coat and I think it will make for some fabulous Spring stylings =D

Have you seen this girl?
Hello all - apologies for my brief disappearance!
I meant to post this for Valentines day but my laptop finally gave up the ghost and I've been scrabbling for a replacement. The look's still cute though, whether it's nearly the end of February or not!
Stardoll very kindly gifted these jeans to us all as a seasonal gift and I was actually surprised at how much I like these. And surprised that we're going back to 2016 for inspiration - I'm pretty sure these are Ashish Spring along with the matching top.
Styling these was a fun experiment to get me out of my comfort zone - there's a lot more skin on show here than I usually go for.
I can see me using these again! They need good layering, thanks to the placement of some of the cutouts -
you could probably do something cool with longer boots as well. These
major platforms were too good not to use though.
There were also loads of coats that I nearly considered for a more dressed up look, so there is some versatility in them.
Have you given these jeans a go?

I N S P I R E D B Y P R A D A | Styled Outfits
I bought so many pieces from the PRADA Tribute that a Styling post was necessary - I styled up the bags I purchased in the review, now it's time for the clothes! First up are the Geometric Pants, I like the colour and pattern on these but really it was all about the overall fit on the doll, they're a fantastic fit^ This is a completely different look to the one I started making, which was adding dark brown pieces and it was going really well but I was just undecided about a lot of parts so this is the outcome instead, I think it's a nice look for this piece. The light colours of the sweater and shoes really let the yellow and print pop, but I particularly like the accessories, I think this belt looks great with the trousers =) Next is the Midi Skirt which is a lovely classic and simple piece from the collection, I think it will do well long-term as it's not particularly a 'trend' piece. As soon as I put it on I knew I wanted to wear other greys in the look and this top was my first idea, I think it's great with the skirt and really works well without a jacket on top to highlight all aspects of the skirt but also the cute neckline design of the top. Accessories are simple but this was the perfect look to add this Prada bag to, I really love it! And the final look of this set features the Fairy Pants which are such a sweet piece, but for sure not the easiest to style. I knew I wanted to use purple in my look but didn't really have any set ideas, however when I tried on these shoes with the trousers I knew I had to run with that pairing because I love the two pieces together. After that, the rest of the look came together easily and I think this is such a cute look^ I do think the earrings might not be the right choice here, but it was definitely lacking some jewellery so I needed to add something.
Next up are three of the coats that I got, there are a couple more so perhaps you will see them on my doll soon^ First is the Red Dotted Coat which I was very kindly gifted by a friend and I'm so pleased that they decided to give it to me because I loved styling it and I love this look! I knew I wanted to look to focus on the colours of the coat so it was easy to pick out simple boots and a top to work with it, but I just love the accessories I've chosen here. The pearl drop earrings look fab with the dots on the coat, and I think this red bag is such a fun piece to include, it's one I've rarely worn and rarely seen styled so it's fun to bring it back out and remember it^ Secondly is the Coat With Chain which was the first piece I loved in the collection. It was a bit difficult to style as it's such a statement piece, but I think I made it work with just the addition of a navy base and accessories, in particular these sparkling boots, aren't they fabulous?! I did add black in with the glasses and bag but I think the pin of the chain is actually black so I think it works out alright. I definitely need some more inspiration for this one for future looks and would love to see other members try this piece out! And the final piece is the Kimono Coat, which, I will admit, when I bought it I had no idea how I was going to wear it, I just thought it would be a fun piece, haha^ But honestly I'm so glad I decided to get it because this might be my favourite outfit of the post! I focused on adding similar reds in the accessories and these shoes were such a perfect find, they really made the jewellery choices very easy and I'm so happy with the pairings =D

P E A R L S | Styled Outfits
Our Autumnal PEARLS release had a bit of a glamorous touch and I picked up a couple of pieces to style. First up the Pants With Train which while very stylish are also a little more versatile than other pieces in the store. I love navy so these naturally are something that I was drawn to, I also really like the belting with them. With those belt buckles being silver I decided to focus on adding silver pieces to the outfit and I'm so happy with the final look! I love the glitz that these shoes and the jacket add to the styling and I think they work perfectly with the trousers. I picked a simple navy top which was perfect to draw your attention to all the shimmering silver across the look, I really love this one^ And then I also picked up the Seahorses Coat which is such a stunning piece that I knew I had to have it, I just didn't plan how I would style it at all. I do like this look but I think Miloshki did a much better job with it in her styling - you should check that out here! Anyway, with the silver seahorses I also wanted to use silver in the look. I really love these loose trousers with the coat, I think the styles fit nicely together. And of course added silver in the accessories too, with simple sandals and sunglasses to complete the styling. I don't think it's perfect, I feel like it's missing something, but I think it's a nice start for this piece =)

R U N W A Y Autumn/Winter 2022 | Styled Outfits
I never got around to posting about either of our Autumn or Winter Runway releases at their time of release, particularly because I didn't find either of these standout releases or worth writing a review for so had always planned to style the few pieces I bought and then of course some time passed^ Anyway, here are the stylings! First up is the Autumn release which I bought two pieces from. First is the Leather Shirt, which I really liked the look of immediately. I liked the colour, fabric and the overall design, it looks really nice on the doll. I decided to try something quite different for me with this look but I think it works well, what do you think? I decided to go for a trouser that had a mix of fabrics and I like the balance between matte and sheen, along with the contrast between the navy of the shirt and black of the trousers. I kept a navy and black mix with the use of this jacket and the bag too and I really like that combination^ The second piece I bought was the Beige Coat which will work well for transitional seasons like Autumn and Spring, this styling is definitely more Autumnal with those dark tones, but I think it will work well with lights too. I decided to also use leather-based pieces in this look and I really like how the trousers look with the coat. The rest of the pieces are super simple but fitting to the basic style and I like that to let the details and design of the coat take the focus of the styling.
Next are the three pieces I picked up in the Winter release. First is the Maxi Feather Skirt which I think is super adorable but seems more like a pair of trousers than a skirt. I kept the styling very simple and chose neutral additions to go with the little dots all over the trousers, I'm very pleased with the outcome and I particularly love this bag and the shoes with the piece =) Next are the Red Heels which are quite fabulous but I did have a little trouble in deciding how to best wear them. I do quite like this look, but I think it's not quite right for me and my style yet. I love these beige jeans with them, the cropped length is just right to show off all of the ankle straps and details while keeping the look light. The red coat is a great pairing for these shoes and I would definitely wear this combination again. Of course, finishing off with gold accessories that I think work very nicely with the shoes =) And the final piece, the Ombre Purse which is just so fun with those colours. This was a super quick outfit to put together as I knew I wanted something bright, multicoloured and glittery if possible to wear with this piece, and this specific dress ticks all those boxes! It's for sure a focal point so the look didn't need much else. I opted for some silver in the belt and boots to pair with the silver tassel on the bag and I really like that about this outfit. And added a little more black to round off the styling. I just think this one is super fun =D

I N S P I R E D B Y F E N D I | Tribute Review
Tribute number 4 of the season - and it's Fendi! Plus this release looks back a little to the early Fendi releases with a focus only on accessories. I love a fresh burst of accessories, so no complaints from me and I love a little revisit to old ideas too^ Let's take a look at this release:
The main difference between the previous releases and this one is that this one is solely bags whilst the other two releases did include other accessory pieces and there were also a range of bag styles included where this is focused on the baguette style. I don't mind this, but understand that it won't be to everyones taste. This release has 25 bags in a wide range of colours and designs to choose from - I love a good variety and I do think there is something for everyone with this choice. My one complaint about this release are the prices, these bags come with a hefty price tag which is a little disappointing. The prices range from 36 to 72SD's which I think is a bit ridiculous especially for a non-limited collection and it will really put a number of members off the release. The more simple pieces are at the lower end of the price range, but I do think these are classics - The Baguette #3, #4 and #5 are fabulous pieces from the store at the lower end of this range but are by no means lesser in design. The black, red and pearlescent colours of the bags are great and versatile, these pieces will see you through a number of looks and they are definitely pieces I'm excited to style! I particularly like the hanging strap design that is seen on #3 and #5 amongst other pieces in the collection. There are also some other one-colour bags on offer, I particularly love the #1 which is in a navy and I know I will be able to style this in a lot of different ways. I also really like the #16 which is in such a pretty purple colour, this wont be a colour that everyone likes, but for me it's a great addition to my bag collection^
Now onto the more elaborate/expensive bags of the collection. The ones that immediately stood out to me were the #9 and #10, these are the yellow and blue beaded bags which I just think are so intricate and well done. I also like the different straps/holding designs of the two giving some choice. I don't like the clutch styles on the first floor so much, I personally would have preferred a few of these designs if they had had straps on them, the silver #7 for example, the printed and jewelled #14 or the metallic fur trimmed #20. But this is just personally preference. The second floor of the store has a few more extravagant designs and I think the furry pieces are pretty fun - the neon green #19 really stands out and I think could make some fun looks, and I also really like the brown and blue #23 as despite the colours I think it looks pretty wearable. I did end up spending almost 400SDs on this release, and that was on 9 pieces and not even all of the bags I would like to get - this Tribute season certainly hasn't come cheaply!
F E A T U R E S
First up in the features is Bianca.Vos styling the The Baguette #19 in such a fantastic way, this outfit jumps off the screen and pulls in all of your attention! This is exactly how I was thinking that this bag should be worn, the green in the focal point and the other greens in the look are perfect complements to the bag. The pink clothing is also a fun touch, not what I would have immediately thought of to pair with the green, but such a fabulous choice - bravo on this one =D
And then we have millaxx who wears the The Baguette #23, again in a way exactly how this piece should be styled. A brown outfit won't be for everyone, but this one is perfect, stylish and suits this doll so much^ This bag does have a lot going on so a more simple styling will always work well for it, I think the combination of the fur and the leather of this dress, along with the intricate gathering up the front of the dress, make a great combination. Plus those strappy shoes are awesome. I also love the gold earrings, they really help highlight the gold details on the bag^
S T Y L I N G S
There will for sure be another styling post to come with looks for the rest of the bags that I bought, but here's three for starters^ First up is The Baguette #12 which is a great combination of pink and red, of course I had a number of pieces in mind as this is one of my favourite colour combinations, so perhaps my outfit isn't a surprise to some of you, haha! But the bag looks great with all of these pieces, I'm particularly happy with the accessories I added - these shoes have a sheen to them like the bag and the glasses also have some sparkle. Next is The Baguette #5 for a super minimal styling. With the light tone of this bag it could be easy for bold colours to overwhelm it so I stuck with similar colours with some of my favourite neutral pieces. I'm so pleased with how the bag looks with this coat, this is a pairing I will repeat =) And lastly back to something a little more fun with The Baguette #9, I really love this outfit! I have a lot of yellow pieces in my wardrobe but finding a perfect yellow for the bag was a little tricky, but there were a few choices and I'm really happy with my final decision of this top. I kept it light with these white trousers and used white in the other accessories which highlights the silver hardwear on the bag. I really love this trio of stylings and I'm so excited to see how else I style the remaining bags from the collection!

I N S P I R E D B Y P R A D A | Tribute Review
Our next Tribute is here, it's Prada^ Now looking back at my posts, this is only the second time we've had Prada, but now I'm wondering if I've missed posting about a release, because surely not?! I feel like it's been more! Nevertheless, out previous Prada was quite a fun release and I still see the pieces being used quite regularly still so it's a lasting brand in the Plaza, lets get on and see if this one will be the same:
The release is a pretty big one, with 5 floors full of looks! The release has quite an emphasis on outerwear, which I'm a fan of, and the pieces have been selected from several different releases from the brand. First up accessories - for me these were a bit weak. While there are shoes and bags, there's little else to embellish the outfits in the store with the exception of the Crossed Belt which I do think looks great, but where are the jewellery items?! There are 4 pairs of shoes on offer. While the style isn't for me, I do think the Monolith Boots will be a popular choice with their chunky design. And while I do prefer the style of both the Black and Beige Shoes, I don't think these are anything stand out and I don't like the look of them on my doll. There are a lot more options for bags, with 8 to choose from. The styles do seem more on the minimal side, but the colours are vibrant and really pop in the store. I'm obsessed with the greens on offer, I love the look of both the Green Hand Bag and Green Hand Purse, I'm sure I've requested more green options before and these cover both ends of the spectrum of shades. I really like the sizes and simple designs of both of these, I think they will be easy to style and I look forward to wearing them. I'm also a big fan of the Orange Purse, I like both the colour and the smart design. It's very similar to at least one other bag that I have, so it's by no means a unique piece, but I really like the style of it overall. The Fairy Bag is certainly a unique piece in this collection, I think the design is very nice and it does make for a stand out piece, but just not for me.
Now onto the clothing, which was a much better offering than the accessories. As I said before, the collection has a big focus on outerwear pieces and there are 10 looks devoted to coats/jackets which is quite a lot for one collection and won't be to everyones taste. On the other hand, I love a good coat! The first piece that really stood out to me was the Coat With Chain, it's sleek in the fitted design and the navy colour and I love the structuring to the shoulders and neckline of the piece, along with that little chain detail. In a similar dressy style are both the Trench Coat and Camel Coat which I love as well. The Trench Coat has a lovely smart fit on the doll but has a fabulous flair with those pink furry additions to the sleeves. I really like the green tweed of this one. I've seen many people wear this already so it's a popular choice! The Camel Coat has such a retro feel with the length, collar design and sleeve length which I think make it a stand out piece - I'm really quite excited to style this one and would love to see someone else give it a try too. Two of the more creative/out there pieces that I really like the look of are the Red Dotted Coat and the Kimono Coat, both are mixed colours but with a feature of red which makes them stand out in the store - they sure caught my eye! The Red Dotted Coat has a classic trench coat style to it but of course with a vibrant design that I think will really look good with some creative use of accessories. The Kimono Coat has a fabulous artistic flair with the print on it, and the design is definitely more unique, I also really like the oversizing of it. Of course there are also some non-outerwear pieces to choose from and some fabulous picks amongst them. The Midi Dress With Beads really caught my attention, but there's something that's put me off buying it yet - I just can't put my finger on it. The raspberry-ombre colour is stunning and I like the spaghetti strap design along with the length, but I just can't commit to it yet! I also think the Translucent Purple Dress is stunning, the colour is amazing and the overall fit/shape of the piece is great plus the glitter black trim, but it's just something I think I would really struggle to style. I'm yet to see anyone try either of these dresses and would love to see if that might give me some inspiration^ There are a couple of co-ord sets in the release. The sets that really pop to me are the Golden Top and Skirt which have a great bold colour and a fantastic overall style with the Skirt being a piece I would definitely wear, and also the Fairy Top and Pants which have such a fresh feeling in the store, being quite different to the other pieces on offer, and again the Pants really stand out to me as something I would wear. I think the Striped Cardigan and Skirt set is also pretty nice, but I don't think these are pieces I would really get wear from.
F E A T U R E S
First up in the features is mery.- who pairs the Grey Mini Dress with the Transparent Blouse in this fabulous dressy-casual styling^ The two pieces work well together, the colours are almost matching but both items do well to stand out individually. The jeans layered underneath give a casual touch, I like the loose style to them and the colour is a good fit with the greys up top. The transparent and silver accessories are the perfect finishing touch for this look!
Next up is harpie wearing the Trench Coat in this head-to-toe glamorous styling! I spotted quite a number of dolls wearing this piece so it was a bit of a competition for which one I would feature. I loved all of the added pink pieces to this look, I think they're all perfect choices. The sock-heels have the perfect shade of pink and the black of the shoes mixes it up a bit and makes for a great pairing for the chosen blouse with the black neck tie. This pink crossbody is a lovely addition, and the gold is perfect for the jewellery too. Also love the makeup styling, it's gorgeous =)
And the final feature comes from BeatriceFashion who has opted for the Transparent Coat - this is the only styling I've seen of this piece, and it's fabulous =D The layering of a few sheer pieces works really well here, and the coat piece holds its own against the sheer pieces beneath it. I love the use of these booties in the look, they're very complementary to the coat and also pair well with the little pearl bag added and all of that silver jewellery! The jewellery pieces look fantastic and really amp up the glamour in this styling =D
S T Y L I N G S
I bought quite a number of pieces from this release, so there will be a second styling post with the clothing items coming soon, but for now - the bags! First up is the Green Hand Purse which was just such an easy piece to style and is in a colour that I'm really lacking in my bag collection. I loved this dark velvet suit with the bag, the bag really draws out those small touches of green throughout the print and was perfect for the addition of dark green accessories. It's pretty simple but I think still an effective look for this piece. Next up is the Green Hand Bag which I immediately knew would be a perfect fit with these boots, I just love the pairing so much! I was kind of set on pairing them with something white, although I've perhaps kept it too simple with this dress. Nevertheless the dress is a great piece and the green pops well against the bright white. All I'm lacking is some matching green earrings or a necklace^ And the final styling is with the Orange Purse which in hindsight, really does look similar to other orange bags I have. I made an effort to style this differently to how I would typically go with an orange bag and I'm so pleased with the outcome =) The orange is a darker shade and so was a pretty awesome match with these ombre-style boots, the two look great together and I'll repeat this pairing for sure. I liked these white trousers with them but decided to keep a good balance with light and dark colours by adding this coat. I really love the brown with orange, it's super fresh and a really appealing pairing - I'm so pleased with this final look =D

Caramel and Port
I don't suppose this look is my usual fare, but I really wanted to this Vivienne Westwood skirt. I stuggled to pair it with any other tops, but I thought it looked pretty cool with this tucked oversized jumper. As always, contrast is key so the loose drape of the jumper and the structure of the skirt were going to be a winner.
The caramel-y colour of the jumper is fairly unusual and maybe a bit too autumnal for spring, but it compliments the teal in the skirt so nicely. The skirt has so many colours in it that I know it'll have re-wear in it. Funnily enough though, I've gone for a pinky-plum-port which isn't exactly present in the pattern, but is suggested by the weay the colours blend with each other.
I wanted to find a much larger, slouchier bag, but my wardrobe wasn't serving anything up. Enter, scarf improvisation - what was a fairly standard clutch is now something marginally more interesting thanks to this matching scarf detail.

I N S P I R E D B Y C H A N E L | Styled Outfits
I bought quite a number of pieces from the Chanel tribute which I couldn't fit into the Review - so here are 5 more looks to enjoy! First up the Chanel Earrings and Chanel Chain Necklace which I think are such a cute pairing. I had a completely different outfit in mind when I put these jewellery pieces on my doll, but when I tried on this pink coat, I thought it looked fab with the pieces and wanted to see where the outfit went. Pink and white are a classic combination and the little touches of gold, also on the bag and shoes, really do stand out in the styling. This is such a great Spring look! Next up are the Chanel Earrings (I really do love these), the Gold Tie Necklace and the White Purse together in a super simple but very Chanel outfit. This is a fabulous dress and the simplicity works well for adding to with accessories and these gold pieces really pop well. We've had a similar design of necklace before and I think it's versatile for many different looks. The bag also looks adorable here. The third styling makes use of the Chanel Chain Necklace and the Small Camera Purse - this necklace is so easy to add to stylings, so I can tell I will be using it all the time! The neutral colours to this bag make it very wearable, so I can see it will be one I will reach for often. I used both the beige and white in the bag for the outfit, I think it pops very well against the beige trousers and the brighter blazer, and the gold details are highlighted with the addition of other golds in the styling, I really love this^
Next up is the Pearl Mini Bag, this is my second styling with this after its inclusion in my last post, I'm already impressed with the versatility of this piece. I knew for my next look with this bag that I wanted to use these pearl-studded jeans and I think these pieces are fabulous together. Otherwise I kept the look simple and used more blue in the styling to highlight those blue pearls in the bag, I think this polo is a great choice^ I really love this outfit a lot! And finally the Sequined Purse which has a great range of firey colours to it so makes for plenty of styling options. This yellow base of clothing really lets the red and orange pop and I used some more of those dark tones in the accessories. I think this balances out really nicely and works well to highlight the bag. While it's a glamorous piece, it will also work well in casual looks.

M I R R O R A N K L E B O O T S
These Wild Candy Mirror Ankle Boots are such a fun piece and I just thought they looked so cool that I had to try them out! They were a little trickier to style than I expected, but I think that was down to not having a lot of similar mirror blue accessories to pair with them - I need a matching bag for sure^ But I still came up with three looks for them. With the first I really love the wave-pattern to the blue in the skirt with the boots, all those shades of blue look great with the metallic style to the boots. I kept the rest of the look simple to let that pairing be the focus. I enjoyed accessorising and really loved this new Chanel bag in the styling with the white and some touches of blue, there is also a little red in there which made these earrings a fab choice to complete the styling. The second look didn't quite work out how I was imagining, but I think there's potential there! The blue in the print of this dress is a great match for the boots but finding the right other pieces to include was challenging, and I think I went too heavy on the black, but it definitely gives me a starting point for trying again with this pairing =) And lastly something a little more casual with jeans. These ones have the perfect length for the height of the boots and I really like the wash on them. I kept the look pretty simple with the blazer and polo, I really do love this necklace with the boots though, the blues are lovely together and it adds some detail to the otherwise simple styling.
How would you style these boots? I'd love to hear your ideas =D

Florals? For Spring?
Groundbreaking.
Calling February in the UK 'Spring' is maybe a bit optimistic considering this is when it normally snows, but I couldn't resist a Devil Wears Prada reference.
I love florals in general, but I particularly love it when florals get textured. For the sake of transparency, yes I know this sheer undershirt is actually covered in butterflies, but from a distance they look like flowers ok? This layered Prada dress is one of my favourites, and I think you could easily assume that the sleeves are part of the original design.
Although the pink and orange combo is punchy and bright, the dark leather accessories helps to keep the look more grounded in the cold weather. Over-the-knee pointed black leather boots are pretty much ubiquitous these days, and I chose this utility-style belt specifically to mimic the draping of the sheer fabric in the front of the dress.
Not much else is needed from there - just a couple more pops of the existing colour palette - and we're done!
