Callie's Picks 141 brings Summer to the Plaza with these fun re-releases. I own quite a few of these pieces already, a lot of them are Hotbuys or from previous Tribute releases, so whilst I haven't styled them in this post I can also recommend the Lace Detail Smart Pants and the Aviator Style Sunglasses (the ones on the right-side male mannequin) as I really like both of these pieces too. First up in the stylings are the Hotbuys Canvas Sandals which I just love for Summer, they're such a cute and underrated pair of shoes! I was so pleased to find this gingham top in my wardrobe because I think it's the cutest pairing for the shoes, and this white skirt makes for such an elegant smart Summer styling. I picked simple but matching accessories and I'm so pleased with this look, I will bring it out in the height of Summer for sure! Next up are both the Soft Beige Thigh Highs and the Fine Blush Earrings - this isn't my favourite look but I'm glad I tried it out. I wanted to try and make these boots work for a more Spring/Summer styling and I'm not sure it worked out how I had imagined. I do like the idea of a fun Summer miniskirt with the boots but I think this pairing isn't the one. Glad I tried it, but the idea needs some work^ And finally the Balenciaga Inspired Raffia Tote which is definitely one of my favourite Hotbuys bags for Summer, despite this the look isn't particularly Summery, haha! But the black straps on the bag really make black an easy colour to pair it with, and these light loose trousers do have an airy Summer vibe to them. The light top is a good balance for the raffia body to the bag and also adds detail with the ruffled sleeves - it's simple but effective!

O R I G I N A L F U T U R E | Styled Outfits
Original Future isn't one of my favourite stores in the Plaza, but in the recent release there were some fun Spring/Summer accessories that I had to try out - both the Green Purse and Green Sandals are super trendy and look fab on the doll. This is definitely a shade of green I'm lacking in my accessories collection so I'm happy to add these to my wardrobe. I planned to style these pieces both together and separately, but ended up loving them paired and found it easy to put together three looks with both - and I think they make for super cute Spring/Summer stylings! The green really pops off the pale yellow of the blazer and skirt combination in the first look, it looks super smart; plus I love these earrings, such a perfect green to match the rest of the accessories. The other two looks both make use of white and green and I think the accessories stand out well against the green. The shade is a relatively close match which I think works nicely. The colours in the print of the skirt add detail, and I loved adding this puff-sleeved top, it adds even more fun to the look. The second look is more a fun casual styling to the smart work vibes of the third outfit. It's super simple but I think it's an effective stylish outfit^ I'm quite looking forward to wearing these pieces more this season =)

3 BY 3 | Leopard Print
I've been looking forward to making this 3BY3 post for a few months now - it's all about the leopard print! Animal prints definitely come and go in terms of popularity and we've had several themed releases with them in the past, but it's perhaps been a little while now. Some prints can be tricky on the versatile front, hopefully I can try my best with these pieces! So for this post I'm styling up the HotBuys Leopard Jacket (Bizou), Leopard Print Serpent Skinny (Jordache) and the Black Animal Pants (It Girls, recolour of the Royalty green pair) - these are quite a mix of old and new pieces and I've styled/worn each of these at least once on the blog before.
H O T B U Y S L E O P A R D J A C K E T
I've had this piece a looong time, since it's release in October 2014 - despite having a number of the pieces from this Hotbuys release, I've never actually posted about this one which is a surprise to me! This was a very popular piece back at it's release and I've seen it styled a couple of times over the years, but definitely not so much recently. I don't remember the last time I styled it, but I really loved putting together these three looks, it was quite easy for me to find pieces that I liked with it. There's a very similar colour palate across the outfits and I think the jacket it highlighted perfectly in them all^ I love beige and brown tones a lot, and the black trim on the jacket made for another good choice in adding to looks. I like all of these looks equally, and would wear any of these again in an instant. They're a little more Spring/Autumn than Spring/Summer, but I do think the jacket has a good versatility about it and it works equally well with dresses/skirts as trousers. I didn't have any perfect leopard print accessories to match - the shoes I used in the first look aren't too bad and I think work ok, but I'd love a bag matching this jacket!
L E O P A R D P R I N T S E R P E N T S K I N N Y
These are the oldest piece of the three in this post, I'm not sure when they were released but it was pre-2010 and they're one of the oldest items in my wardrobe. I love the more subtle style of the animal print on these however I was concerned about the grey colour as it's not one I wear a lot or particularly enjoy styling. Despite my worries, these weren't too difficult to style and I'm relatively pleased with the looks. White and black pieces worked out the best with these and I think the print really pops in all the outfits. It's super classic for me, but this white bow blouse with the matching bow shoes looks super cute with the jeans. I was also glad to see this grey blazer actually looking not too bad with the jeans, I kind of regretted buying this blazer after trying to style it the first time, but I think it's a nice touch with the jeans.
B L A C K A N I M A L P A N T S
And the final piece, these are the most recent of the pieces and are still available in the Plaza. The print on these is quite subtle which I think makes these pretty easy to style compared to the other pieces. I think I went for a good mix of styles with these looks and have hopefully highlighted these trousers' versatility. Classic black and white looks great with these trousers, I particularly love this white ruffled blouse, I think it's super cute with the trousers and the tucked length is sleek. And then what I loved trying is the third look, I tried out a couple of coloured shirts and was so surprised by how fun this neon piece looked. The styles of the two fit well and I had some perfect accessories to add, love the pop with these shoes. These three looks have definitely made me excited to try out more with these trousers =D

T R A I L S | Styled Outfit
Today styling up pieces from the recent TRAILS release - this isn't one of my favourite stores, but I usually pick up a couple of pieces and find these collections good for Summer pieces, and this latest collection is no exception. First up is the Knotted Cord Tote Bag in a completely non-Summer look, haha! I really wanted to use other browns with this bag and I'm very happy with the pieces I've picked, the bag stands out nicely against these brown leather-style trousers. The polo-neck sweater is a relatively good colour match for the knotted fabric of the bag which was what I was aiming for - I did try out lighter pieces but I liked this option best. Kept the accessories paler though and I love that balance added in the shoes and earrings. Second are the Wooden Hanging Earrings which I really love the look of, these really do a great job at standing out against the hair (of my doll at least). I tried out many different pieces using the various colours in these earrings, but I'm pleased with what I opted for. The super neutral clothing really ensures the earrings stand out which I tried to complement with the other accessories. Loved adding this bag, the beading is a nice touch to pair with the earrings and I think the shoes are a fitting choice. I really quite like this^ And finally is the Wool Tote, I really like this piece as it's inspiration is a Chloe bag that I like the design of, so I'm happy to have this version for my doll. With a lot of dark in the bag I was unsure initially how to style it, but I really like the outcome choosing some classic neutral pieces from the collection of many neutral pieces XD The neutral clothing works nicely with the strap of the bag, and I think for this piece it works well not adding too much else to the styling. For accessories, black was the obvious choice and I picked some classic beautiful pieces that work well to highlight the bag. I've not seen so many people styling these pieces so would love to see some of the pieces styled soon!

Suite Style
Two in one week - here is another suite feature also making good use of some of our new decor releases - this time from Blair! These new pieces look great in this beach villa interior with the brown and golden tones really standing out well against the black and white stone of the villa. The mix of pieces is great, they all fit well despite coming from a range of collections. I love seeing dining set-ups as these give me heart palpitations trying to work out the seating arrangement, this one is pretty fab, the three seats are balanced well and the setup also works well with the side-board and its decor at the back of the room. Super fun, I need to try more rooms like this, it's inspiring for sure =D

A R C H I V E | Styled Outfits
It's been quite a while since and Archive release, so I was happy to see this in the Plaza - this time however it's just a release of re-colours rather than of the old pieces themselves, and actually many of these recoloured items are of quite recent pieces. So not really a 'new' release but I did pick up some cute accessories to style and I'm pretty happy with the outcome of these looks! First up is the Snapshop Bag Red - this is available in a few colour options and I actually already have the original of this from the Nelly store that I admit I haven't worn enough. Love the small size of the bag paired with the chunky cross-body strap, and this bright red colour is a perfect eye-catching detail to draw you in to any styling! With the white polka dots I knew I wanted to use both red and white in my outfit and I'm loving the final look - these loose trousers are such a perfect red for that bag, I know I will wear them again with it. That left white for the rest of the pieces which was of course no problem, I like the smart vibes that this blazer and shirt combination bring to the look, it all just came together very nicely. I even added some earrings which I think are a nice addition to this styling =) Next is the Blue Bag, of which the original is very recent to the Plaza, this design comes in quite a few colours and I have my eye on them for sure! I thought I would find this blue quite easy to style, but it was a little tricky. I didn't have anything that matched the blue colour perfectly but I think the final styling isn't as bad as I initially thought. The bag really pops against these darker blue trousers and I managed to find some shoes with a similar colour, those are something I really love in this whole blue combination^ Stayed classic with the rest of the styling and chose a white shirt plus accessories and I think that works nicely. I'm sure I could have been more adventurous, but I think maybe I'll save that for other colours of this bag! And finally the Snapshop Bag Grey, which I think looks more blue than grey hence why I decided to get it. Of course I styled it with more blue which perhaps also brings the blue out in it too. I really love this styling - I knew I wanted to use navy and tried different combinations of a light base with a dark layer ontop and vice versa, and opted for the navy base in the end, but so pleased with it. This overcoat is a dream with the bag, they're perfect together in both colour and style. I kept the rest of the accessories simple but fitting with classic heels and blue sunglasses. So so in love with this outfit, this is one recolour that I'm super excited to have in my wardrobe =D

Suite Style
It's been a long time without a suite feature, but I just had to share this new room from Mery.- featuring a number of pieces from the recent Decor releases - what a cosy and comfy looking room! One thing I really like is the extra splitting of the room, extra glass panels have been added to divide the room and add much more depth and space to it - I love the glimpse into the 'bedroom' with more pieces added to the decor design, and the added curtains are the perfect touch of realism. Adore the seating area front and centre in the design, the light colours are beautiful and the mix of pieces goes together perfectly - the new LE Decor coffee table really stands out in the middle there! I also like the little dining area to the right, the use of darker woods here in the darker side of the room is great and such a thoughtful touch against the light tones used in the rest of the room. Super inspiring, I love it =D

F A S H I O N F U R N I T U R E + L E D E C O R / / #MYSUITESUNDAY
We've had quite the influx of new decor releases in the Plaza recently and I picked up a few pieces from across the releases, so time for a MYSUITESUNDAY! I quite liked both the Fashion Furniture and LE Decor releases, of course not all the pieces fit my style but I think there is a good mix of items to choose from in these stores. The LE Decor release is of course limited, but there are still some pieces available in the Plaza. I really liked the interiors of both stores so have purchased both, hopefully will work on a room with the Fashion Furniture one soon, but for now, here is my room with the LE Interior - I love the serenity of this design, it looks so peaceful and calm. The scene from the window is very pretty and I like the splitting of the room with the glass panelling in the back. The use of woods gives a natural touch, along with the green in the back. I really liked the flooring in this one, it's something quite unique and definitely stood out to me. The only main furniture item I have picked up from these releases is the Armchair from LE Decor, the fabric design is unique but a classic with the black and cream colours. I like the low-to-the-floor design with the short legs, and really liked the colour of the wooden legs, it's natural and quite subtle, plus it goes well with the flooring! I really used that as my base for adding any more wooden pieces to the room because I didn't want too much going on with different colours and I think I've achieved my goal^ I didn't have a suitable table so made a purchase from the Plaza and am happy with my choice, I like the different levels to it and the size is good for adding small decor pieces too, I picked out some light coloured items and I'm really liking the composition here. Over by the wall I've leant my new Artwork from Fashion Furniture - a great piece priced in SC's too^ This is such a versatile design, it's simple but still standout and I think it can be found in many suites. I paired it with another framed piece and a vase that I already had, this is a super cute combination of pieces. I decided to add a little footstool as well as a cute seating choice - I already had this one in my storage and I think the colour works ok with that of the decor pieces. And I also added some rugs, I had quite a few in my storage to choose from and opted for these light neutral tones that I'm pretty happy with. There's still some space in the room, so I will be on the lookout for some other pieces to include here which match the tones and style vibes I've already gone for =)

T H E J E T S E T | Styled Outfits
The Spring The Jet Set release took me by surprise a little, it's something quite different for this store. The backdrop makes the collection seem very dark, but actually there's some great light Spring tones in there that bring something fresh to our collections. When I saw the first floor I was a little disappointed as these pieces aren't my style at all, but the second floor really made up for it! I have to say, it's kind of all about the accessories, and they're in such a good range of colours and styles, I think I'm sorted on the bag-front for a while^ First up is the Cross Body Purse in a very sweet pastel yellow. I love yellow so this bag works well for me, and I love a cross-body too^ I opted not to go overboard on the yellow, but I think these trousers add the perfect amount, the darker tone really works well balancing the pastel of the bag and I think they each are well highlighted in the look. The white pieces added in the rest of the look are perfect to make sure the bag gets highlighted, really love this overcoat styling with the cross-body style of the bag. Really enjoyed adding more accessories to this look, and especially love these gold and pearl earrings, I've not worn these much but they're just right for this outfit! Next is the blue Ombre Bag which is very much inspired from Wandler, a brand I have really been looking at for a while to make an RL purchase, so this fills a little hole in my bag collection for sure! I found this trickier to style than anticipated, the blue tones didn't quite match any of my blue clothing as perfectly as I'd hoped, but I think this skirt is a pretty good fit and the two styles work together nicely. The white in the bag is perfect for adding more white to the look, these shoes and the shirt are some of my favourites and are nice additions to this outfit. Of course adding my favourite blue sunglasses, these work perfectly here^ Just lacking some perfect earrings for this one. And finally pairing the Lime Purse and Strap Top - yes they're styled together in store, but they're a fabulous fit together, I couldn't resist! This shade of green isn't something I have a lot of, and the style of top is something completely different for my style, but something drew me in and I had to buy these pieces =D In keeping with the rest of the outfits in this set, adding white was a must, I love how these wide leg trousers look with both of these pieces, the waistline is great with the draping of the top. I think the style of the bag and trousers together is great, the bag seems super versatile despite the bold green colour, so I think I'll have fun styling it again. Of course some more white accessories to finish. I really love this set of looks, perfect Spring/Summer stylings!

I was quite surprised by our latest Velvet Orchid release - I didn't like the Plaza window much, but when I checked out the full release there were some great coats that I really liked the look of. First up is the Hanging Coat which is a fabulous oversized off both shoulders piece in a great neutral tan colour. It's such a perfect Spring outerwear piece. I really liked styling this and found a number of pieces in different styles and colours that worked well with it. These light colours look great and really let the tan tone pop in the outfit. These boots are a perfect match for the colour of the coat, I love this pairing so much and will repeat it for sure^ Next is the Jeans Coat, which I'm not sure is made for female dolls, but it fits just fine so I think will work for anyone. I thought it would be great to style, and it is, but it really does take up most of the space, so there's not a lot of room for clothes to be added. For a Spring styling I've opted for white which I think brings out the lighter wash of the denim. I really like the trainers I chose for this look, I think they suit the style of the coat better than heels would. I did add a little glam with this Chanel bag and I think it's a good fit for the coat. I'm definitely looking forward to styling both of these pieces again!

Y O U N G H O L L Y W O O D | Styled By You / / Styled By Me
It feels like it's been a long time since a Young Hollywood release, but perhaps I'm just feeling that it's been a long time since such a large YH release - this really brings it back to the good old days with the size of this April release! This release has a lot to choose from in terms of gowns however is lacking in accessories which I'm disappointed about. I did however pick up a few pieces, and the collection sold out quickly so it went down well. Now for some features^ First up Claudentia styling the Gaga White Gown very elegantly and glamorously - completely ready for that red carpet interior! These gloves are a beautiful addition to the gown, they fit well with the style and the colour-match is pretty seamless. The silver bustier component of the dress is perfect for adding silver jewellery, and the choices here are perfect. The choker necklace is discreet and the larger earrings are fabulously bold, I love it =D
Next we have Mia1435 who wears the Gaga Green Gown which is such a stand out piece on it's own, it really doesn't need much added. The colour of this is stunning, I'd buy it in more wearable styles for sure. In this instant, it's perfect for this interior, the look fits like a glove. The darker bodice of the dress does look almost black, so the patent black gloves are fitting very nicely. The chunky necklace looks dramatic and I think is a great choice for the dress, and of course the hair and beauty look is stunning, super dramatic^
And the final feature is from neon.swift wearing the Zendaya Skirt - this is relatively similar to the original styling, but makes good use of another shirt, there are plenty of ways to recreate similar vibes to the original and this is a perfect example! The blue of the shirt is very pretty with the silver, I think the two fit together well. The black oversized bag is an interesting choice, I'm not sure it's what I would have chosen, but I think it does look good and doesn't overwhelm in the outfit. Love the simplistic hair and beauty styling, I think that really works nicely for the styling =)
Onto my own stylings now - and surprisingly I bought more than one gown, who have I become?! I'm really someone who doesn't wear gowns but there were too many to resist with this release I think XD I did also pick up the Lashana Shoes which are the super classic black pointed stiletto heel - I decided to focus with the clothes for these stylings, but I'm sure you'll spot the shoes in future looks! Anyway first up is the Gaga White Gown. I did try to be creative with this and add some sort of top, but nothing I tried was perfect, I guess I'm not creative enough for that! I do very much like my outfit though, and it's such a beautiful gown that it would probably look good even on it's own. Silver accessories were a must, I really love the two pieces I've picked, these earrings stand out especially against this darker hairstyle, and I love getting to use this bag, I think it's a perfect piece for this gown! Next is the Christine Gown which I thought would be another one that would layer well, I don't think the outfit has gone entirely to plan but I'm glad I tried it out. The deep rosey pink is a stunning colour and I love the glitter accents throughout, so next time I think it would be better to highlight those accents in my clothing additions, the white is a little too bright, but I do think this dress works well as a skirt. Accessories however are pretty cute with this one, just maybe not together. I love this glitter clutch, the colour is perfect for the dress, and same for the necklace, but I don't think the two pair together well - so a work in progress with this second look! And the final piece is the Cynthia Cape which is the piece I had most fun styling, it was great to work with =D The oversized style didn't really put me off at all, I was just thinking of all the fun red pieces I had that I could pair with this and knew I wanted to also include something white to really make that red pop! These Dior shoes are a perfect colour match, I will be repeating this pairing for sure, and I love these glasses with the look too, really a perfect set of red^ I kept the clothing simple and it works well with such bold pieces in the rest of the look. The trim of the cape has some silver/grey details so I decided to use that with this sweater and I really like how that's turned out. This look is a winner for sure!

Following on from PEARLS, the Spring Bizou release was another good one! There are a range of styles and coloured pieces on offer but there are a few firm favourites with everyone. Starting with two features, both styling the most popular piece of the release, the Yellow Pastel Jacket. First up is Prada opting for a more Winter-Spring transitional look with the use of boots. I adore this dress pairing with the blazer, the two styles are perfect together and the colours really pop, I would never have thought of it myself, I love it^ The red/brown tones in the bag and boots also really makes the look pop, those darker tones really catch the eye. Such a great styling =D Next is Brevis, showing a formal side to this piece - this pair of looks do highlight the versatility this piece can have, see, yellow can be versatile too! The black of the trousers is about the most contrasting you can get to the yellow, but I think it works really well, the style and fit of the trousers really emphasises the smartness of the blazer. And I love the black clutch bag too, I think it's a perfect fit for the two clothing items. We all know I'm a huge fan of gold, so the gold shoes and necklaces really catch my attention, perfect for this styling! The neckline of the blazer isn't too large, and I think this necklace piece really fills the space nicely, love it^
And for my own stylings - first are the Relaxed Pants, I was a little hesitant about these at first but I love the colour and ultimately decided to give them a go. I've gone for a very casual style pairing them with trainers, but I think it works quite nicely with the all-white shoes. They really gave me the option for white on the top half and I really struggled choosing a top, I think I went through about 30 before getting to this one, but it was worth the wait! It's a bit of a different vibe for me, but I quite like it. Accessories of course include my favourite blue glasses, they're really perfect with the trousers, and I'm also glad I could use this little quilted clutch, the colour is just right for this styling^ Next up is, of course, the Yellow Pastel Jacket, I'm not going to turn down another yellow jacket for my collection! I actually felt quite overwhelmed styling this, because there were so many things I wanted to try with it and didn't know where to start so I ended up going super simple - I think a dedicated post to this piece will come soon. The white feels like a classic with the lemon yellow, it will work every time. I do love this open-necked shirt in the styling, even though you can't see much of it I really like the neckline. The jeans give a casual look, but they end with these fabulous boots - these with the blazer is a winning combination! And the final piece I bought is the Woven Bag, which really could have gone with either of the other pieces I got from the release, but also looks good alone. I thought this was white initially, but I really see all sorts of pastel tones coming out in it with this styling. For some reason I had decided on pink to pair with this piece, not sure why but I think it fits with the blue and yellow of the other outfits. These smart wide leg trousers look great with the bag and I love this shirt in the look too, it's smart in style but super fun with the sheer fabric. I kept the rest of the accessories simple and I think the bag does a good job standing out in the look =D
