I N S P I R E D B Y C H L O E | Tribute Review

The third Tribute of the season - it's Chloe! This is one I'm so excited to see because I really love the designs and vibes of Chloe collections. This is our first stand-alone Chloe release, back in 2012 there was a floor of Chloe as part of a Harrods release, but it was more of a youth release back then and this is such a step up - totally something I never actually dreamed would happen. So let's get in and see what the store includes:
Again, this is a three-floor release with a total of 18 looks with several items available in both male and female versions. I for one, really love the collection. Sure, I did have different visions for my expectations when I heard it was a Chloe release but I think its a real good 'un! So first up, the accessories. There are 7 pairs of shoes available, which is a good number for the size of the collection. The pair that caught my attention the most are the Maroon Thigh High Boots which just look amazing, the perfect Autumn/Winter boot. Love the high leg design and the colour is fabulous, plus the patent leather they are made from with the sheen on the foot. The Green Wrap Heels are also very attractive, I love the minimal strapped design to them and the deep green colour is beautiful, again, I can see these in Autumnal looks. The Congac Clogs are also a cute option, they remind me a lot of the Chanel shoes from the first release of that Tribute. These have very boho vibes, just so classic Chloe^ There are 4 bags in the release, they are nice styles but I had hoped a little for some of the very well recognised designs. I really like both the Leather Buckle Bag and the Bangle Purse, both are black with gold details with the first bringing a shoulder bag design and the second being hand-held. Both really look versatile and I think will be great in my collection for years to come. There are 3 belts in the store, all are gold, so not ideal if you prefer other metals, but one, the Gold Tassel Belt is in SC which is a great option. For me, I love the Chloe Belt (available for both male and female dolls), it looks fab and really stands out well in the store and looks great on the doll. Can't wait to see this be styled! The jewellery pieces are also all in gold, I adore the Horse Necklace. A horse motif is completely something I associate with Chloe collections from years ago, so this piece is perfect for me and I can't wait to wear it. The final accessory piece to mention are the Pink Aviators, super cute piece, of course I can't resist sunglasses. These have a really nice shape to them and I think the colour isn't something I've got on a pair of sunglasses already.
Now onto the clothing. The first floor is very light in terms of colour and fabrics and I love this as an opening, it really does feel Chloe to me. There are three dresses in the floor, two being cream and one brown. The Flower Applique Dress is beautiful, it's a mesh piece completely covered in flowers, and I love the puff sleeves and the maxi length, it looks great on the doll! Also love the look of the Oversized Sleeves Mini Dress which is in a neutral brown but all the detail comes from those sleeves. Love the design of the main body of the dress too, the pleating down the front looks really good - I can see great accessorising options for this one already. The White Sparkle Top and Skirt co-ord is cute and a fab Spring/Summer set, I definitely prefer the Skirt as I think it will work really nicely individually too, the gold is super cute on it for pairing accessories with. The Tan Velvet Bodysuit feels more Autumn/Winter but I absolutely love it, love the velvet and the colour and I think this will be such a fun piece to style up with other brown tones and burgundies. Final piece to mention here is the Fringe Leather Jacket, such a great design, that fringing is fabulous. The colour is definitely unique in a nudey-pink, I think it will be a little of a challenge to find complementary colours to work with it, but it's a challenge I'm up for. The second floor has darker vibes overall but also brings some colour. The first piece I am drawn to is the Green Trench Coat in fabulous sheeny fabric, the colour is so beautiful! Again, a much more Autumn/Winter based piece, but a great one at that. Also in colour is the Rose Tank Maxi Dress, I really love this piece for the colour, it's so beautiful, and I love the skirting of this piece. The sheer fabric is a challenge I'm willing to take on. The Maroon Knit Top also has a beautiful colour, the mesh is an interesting design element but I really like it for the colour. The last pieces to mention are the co-ord of the Navy Sweater and Navy Sweater Shorts, this is such a cute set, love the cardigan design with the layering and the gold buttons - it's really not like anything else we've had in the Plaza. The Shorts are super cute with it, but for me I'm not so sure how I'd style them. The third and final floor is also dark in theme but with less colour additions. For me, this floor isn't as strong as the first two. I'm a little tempted by the Black Leather Pants, but the fit of these on the doll isn't great, and the Leather Shirt also looks good, but it does look very similar to another shirt I already have. The one real temptation is the Maroon Velvet Dress, love the colour of this and I think the design is quite sweet. Again, a perfect Autumn piece and I think it will layer really nicely as well.

F E A T U R E S
First up in the features is Bianca.Vos with two fabulous outfits. The first look uses the White Ruffle Dress and looks amazing, so angelic with this one. The dress layers beautifully with the trousers and I think that really helps with making those ruffle details stand out. Love the gold accessories here, really all working perfectly together. The second styling uses the Green Trench Coat and is a perfect Autumn styling, the green really is perfect with the bronzed trousers, I love that pairing so much. Also loving the green top underneath, it's really a perfect match for the jacket^
Next we have France25 styling up the Pink Capelet - and several of them at that! This is a fun way to style the collection, the multiple resized jackets look fab and creative. The pink colour looks amazing against the grey of the skirt and blazer combination. The pleather of the jackets looks great against the soft light fabric of the skirt. Such a fun styling!
Here is the ever-fabulous Harpie in the Nude Slip Dress and also the Gold Tassel Belt looking absolutely fabulous! This is a piece I really like the look of, but on my doll it just doesn't look great because the colour is too close to my skin tone, but on harpie, it's fantastic^ The dress stands out beautifully and has been styled well - I love the additions of the shimmering sleeve and the tulle one-shouldered top, they really transform the dress. The accessories are great final touches, especially loving the bag and belt combination, thats great =)

S T Y L I N G S
Now for my looks. I ended up buying a lot of pieces, so there will be more looks to come for sure, but three to start with. First up, the Navy Sweater and Leather Buckle Bag - the bag has almost a navy hue to it so I thought these would look good together, the gold buttons on the cardigan definitely pair them nicely. I decided to continue with gold in the look and this light skirt really adds a brightness to the styling, I really love the colour contrast. Simple gold accessories at the top and black heels at the bottom add a nice balance. Next are the Fringe Leather Jacket and Maroon Thigh High Boots, not pieces I was originally planning to pair together but when I tried this skirt with the boots, I knew I had to try out the jacket because of the pink tones in the tartan. I really like the outcome! I didn't really have any peachy-pink accessories to pair well with the jacket, so I stuck with burgundy, but I think it still looks good and I'm happy with the outcome. The jacket seems more of a Spring piece, so I would go for more of a Spring styling with it next time. And finally, a number of pieces, the Horse Necklace, Chloe Belt, Rose Tank Maxi Dress and Pink Aviators! I really love the colour of this dress a lot, and as soon as I paired it with this burgundy top I was in love with the pairing. I continued that with the accessories and added some gold to pair with the detail on the bag - so much love for this look =)

F E V E R | Styled Outfits

Fever releases are a staple of the Summer, and this years one is no exception with fun and bold colours and prints and light fabrics. I think this is a really nice release with a good mix of pieces to choose from. My eyes were naturally drawn to the pinks and oranges and I picked up 4 pieces to try out - I loved styling them all! First up, the Ombre Blazer which has a lovely purple and orange combination and I really fancied the challenge of making those colours work in an outfit, and I'm so so pleased with my final look for it, I love it =D I opted for a burnt orange skirt and I think that pairs really well with the purple but also highlights the lighter orange at the bottom of the blazer. I then focused on purple for accessories to tie in with the top of the blazer and I really love my choices, so so pleased with this one! Then is the Jacquemus Pink Purse which is such a cute piece, and simple, so will be easy to add to many outfits. I decided to focus on that pink colour across the look rather than have the pink stand out alone. I love the mix of bright pink against the light of the flowers on this skirt (a recent sale purchase on a whim!), and overall the pinks and white are a popping contrast. Quite a different one for me but such a fun one, I love it too^
Next are the Sunset Trousers mixing pink and orange, and I used orange for my additions. These are definitely a fun pair, and they fit the doll very well. The pink pops well amongst the orange and this is such a fun top for the trousers. Orange accessories are easy for me as I love these pops of colour, but here they're merging in perfectly. Then lastly the matching Sunset Blouse, with opposing orange at the top and pink at the bottom, and without thinking about it really, I've gone for pink additions to this one. I absolutely love these trousers and they're a perfect fit for the pink of the blouse. I really loved this bag in the look too, a perfect pink match as well and continued that with the earrings. Super fun Summer stylings this set =)

I N S P I R E D B Y J E A N P A U L G A U L T I E R | Tribute Review

Our second Tribute of the Summer 2024 season is here - Jean Paul Gaultier! We've had a couple of JPG releases in the Museum Mile store previously, but actually only one other stand-alone Tribute release and that was all the way back in 2012 (seriously, where did 12 years go?!). Now I wasn't a huge fan of the brand back then, and honestly I'm still not, it's just not my style personally, but let's jump in and see what's on offer this time:
As is standard for Tributes now it seems, the release is 3 floors with a total of 14 looks - with 6 of these looks being available in both male and female-sized clothing, which gives pretty good options. Now overall, this release is still not really my thing, however I do think there are some really nice individual pieces that can work for anyone. The release feels quite mixed, with half the pieces feeling quite Wintery and some quite Summery. Accessories-wise, there are quite a few pairs of shoes to choose from. I quite like the Pearl Toe Ring Heels which have a modern perspex body to them with a silver platform, the tiny pearl is super sweet. There aren't any bags in the release, however there are several jewellery and headwear pieces. The Flower Puff Earrings are so pretty and elegant. Both the Cream Sailors Cap and Red Beaded Sailors Cap have surprisingly caught my eye, I really quite like how they look on the doll and they're definitely unique pieces to the Plaza. Next onto the clothing. On the first floor I really liked the tulle fabrics of the Tulle Corset Dress in pretty nude with fabulous sparkling details on the bodice, and the Red Beaded Mini Dress in it's base of pink with fantastic red floral detailing, these two pieces alone are just stand out! Also on the beaded theme is the Black Beaded Bra, this is very pretty with red floral details. In the store this is paired with the Black Maxi Skirt which is a fab basic in this release, and is priced in SC's which is great. The Black Trousers are also a pretty simple item, I love the velvet texture they have to them, but the oversized style of them isn't so much for me - but I can see these being popular. The second floor has a lot going on, it's all about different textures and details. My eyes immediately went to the Green Rouched Coat for it's beautiful bottle green colour, it's stunning! It's also super detailed, the ruching looks great and I can see this being a perfect Autumn/Winter piece. On the contrary, the Blue Puff Sleeve Crop and Bejeweled Corset Shorts pairing is super Spring/Summer with the light colours the tiny length of the shorts. I love these colours together though, it's super refreshing. I would love to see someone styling up the Sheer Illuminati Dress to see how wearable and versatile it is, it's sheer and quite bulky in shape, but I really like the green detailing. The final floor is a little more extravagant in style and really not so much for me, but I do like the look of the Gold Embroidered Trousers - simple but with very nice detailing around the waist. They do have a wide-leg fit, but are high waisted which is why I prefer them over the other pair of black trousers.

F E A T U R E S
First up in the features, the always fabulous harpie wearing the Black Lace Cape in such a cool-girl way^ This is a piece I just couldn't imagine how in could be worn in a more everyday way, and this outfit completely ticks all the boxes, so perfect for it! The lace looks amazing with the floral print of the trousers, and the loose tee with the long necklaces adds a cool casual vibe. Love the accessorising all over this one =)
Secondly is Sieg who goes super simple with the Cream Sailors Cap, again, a piece I wasn't sure how it would look styled but this look completely proves me wrong that it can work well in a daily look. The light silk colour really balances perfectly with the pleated skirt, the sailor style is really great with pleating I think. The dark blazer gives a highlighting contrast to the styling, while the trainers and socks give it a cool casual vibe, totally something I could style up too^
And finally is BeatriceFashion in both the Cream Sailors Cap and White Sheer Dress. Sure, it's not super adventurous but the look effectively highlights the pieces from the release while remaining stylish^ The dress, of course, really speaks for itself, but I think it's styled nicely with the little sheer gloves too, a perfect complementary accessory. The shoes are simple but a perfect colour against the hat. The earrings are a perfect final touch, so perfect with the details on the dress =D

S T Y L I N G S
And for my stylings - as well as these pieces I also picked up the Black Maxi Skirt, which I'm sure will get a lot of wear. First up here are the Gold Embroidered Trousers which were super easy to style. They have such a nice fit on the doll too. I kept it simple with a black base to the look and focused on those gold details, for sure a favourite way to dress for me^ I think the pieces really work perfectly together highlighting the trousers in this styling. Next up is the Blue Puff Sleeve Crop in the brightest look of the set, this was such a fun piece to style and I found this an easy outfit to put together. Once I tried on the bag with the top I was really sold on the pairing, a perfect shade of blue in the strap and the light beige of the body is a fresh combination for me which I had to continue with in this belt choice. The light trousers keep the look perfect for Summer, I'm really so pleased with this styling! And finally the Green Rouched Coat in another dark look, but also another look that came together easily. I knew I wanted to wear these boots with the coat, and the two go together as perfectly as I had hoped. I tried out quite a few different colours for bags, but loved this one for not only the colour but also the texture against the ruching on the coat. The gold chain pops nicely and I continued with gold in the earrings and glasses. Another look I love!

Y O U N G H O L L Y W O O D | Styled Outfits

Another styling catch up - this time a couple of Young Hollywood releases. We've had quite a few releases in this store since my last post on a YH release, I'm sorry I haven't really kept up to date with them especially as it's been a lot of gowns and red-carpet looks - however it's not been all gowns, I've been lucky enough to pick up some jewellery items and had some non-gown clothing items gifted from friends, so it's finally time to show those pieces off!
First is the set of Beyonce Jacket, Beyonce White Shirt and Beyonce Mini Skirt - this set is just so cute, I love the checkered pattern and the overall fit of the pieces, plus the dark colour, it's super unique. The shirt of course is a standard white shirt but has a bow included, I did try other shirts with this jacket, but this specific one really was perfect in the neckline detailing. As soon as I'd seen the set I knew I wanted to try these boots with it, and it worked even better than I was imagining. I added white accessories to pair with the shirt and I'm really happy with the colour balance. Then are the Margot Bronze Coat, Billie Eilish Shirt and Tyla Ivory Crystal Sandals which I'm very pleased with the colour pairing of the coat and shoes, these really are perfect together. I knew I wanted to stay with neutral tones and this beige slip skirt was a nice balance between the white and brown, I think it looks super sleek. Accessories were easy to match the clothing, I love this detailed brown bag in the look, it pops nicely against the tan of the coat =)
Now is the Billie Eilish Skirt paired with the Florence Snake Necklace. I did struggle a bit with this skirt, I was just so undecided about how I wanted to wear it - I think I quite like this glammed up outcome, but think there's probably a better way out there for styling it. The tweed pattern has a silver hue so I used this in my additions to the outfit, I think this coat is a fun touch, and the necklace fell into place with this one. And last but not least, the Billie Eilish Blazer, Anya Tiffany Necklace and the Becky G Shoe - I did try this look with the previous skirt, but it wasn't giving quite the vibes I was looking for, so glad I instead tried out these trousers because I love the look a lot! The necklace fits well in the neckline of the blazer and the shoes were the perfect simple pair to add that balance to the look. These three pieces were so easy to work with so I think will feature in future looks for sure^

R U N W A Y | Styled Outfits

We're probably due a new Runway collection soon given that I think this one came out in like February and it's still the one in the Plaza - and I'm only getting to styling it now. Overall this wasn't a great collection for me, just not so much my style or pieces I'd find easy to wear. I just picked up a couple of items and I've styled them up. First is the White Stripy Skirt, a little rogue for me as it's a sheer piece, but I think it looks really nice and is both a good Summer piece but also a dressy piece and I tried to combine both vibes into my outfit. I really like the outcome, I think this sequin bodysuit underneath looks great with the skirt but I've kept it smart with the blazer. The bright white really lets the sheer pink tone of the skirt stand out. Kept the accessories simple, I'm really loving these metallic pink heels in the look^ The second look features both the Green Gucci Coat and Black Belt Heels - now I do think a bright lime green coat is a wild style choice, this one really won't be to everyone's taste, but I really thought it was quite fun! And I do think it has a level of versatility to it, you can really pair it with quite a few different colours to make a fun outfit. In classic 'me' style, I kept it simple with black and white, and I really think these give the coat colour an extra pop. The black worked well to add the shoes to the look, overall I think I got just the right balance of colours with this on =) Would love to see someone else giving this coat a try!

I N S P I R E D B Y M I U M I U | Tribute Review

Honestly for me this year has gone so quickly, so this Tribute season came completely unexpected! What a pleasant surprise =D Kicking off the season this year is Inspired by Miu Miu which is the second year in a row we've had something from this brand, and I'm not complaining because I really liked the release last year. The advertisement shows a nice mix of styles and I'm really liking the vibes the looks have - as per last time, there is a free dress you can get from the store if you top up and I really quite like this one. Let's get into the store:
The release has 3 packed floors, with a total of 17 female looks and 1 male look, with several pieces available in both male and female versions. Now I will say I do think last years Miu Miu release was better, it just had more pieces to my taste and that I immediately gravitated towards. It also felt a bit more cohesive as a collection compared to this one. Nevertheless, there are still some great pieces on first glance in this collection and I can see a few that I need to have!
Starting with accessories. There are 5 pairs of shoes, and I would say there is a range of styles and options to choose from. The pair that will be post popular I'm guessing will be the Black Penny Loafers which are in a black patent leather - the design is nice, but it's a style of shoe which just isn't for me. While I do normally gravitate away from flat shoes, something about the Congac Ballet Flats really has me interested. Love the colour on these a lot, plus the sheen they have - I think I'm going to give them a go, stay tuned for my report on if it's love or hate with these! The Duo Colour Pumps are also a super cute retro pair, I love the chunky heel on these and I can see them looking super cute in various outfits, they're just not so much for me. There are also 5 bags in the release which are basically 3 designs, with 2 available in 2 colours each. The Mini Purse comes in both Brown and Black, for me there just isn't enough of something special about this tiny bag to make me want to buy either seeing as we've had similar before and even though I think tiny bags are cute, experience tells me I just don't wear then because they're too small haha XD But they have a nice design if a tiny bag is something you're in the market for. On the otherhand, I really love the Pouch Bag which comes in both Canvas and Black, the bucket bag style is really nice and I think these ones both look great. The Canvas option combines both a light body with a tan leather strap detail. The size of these is also great, for me it works perfectly. Then there are a few other accessory items. I really love the Green Jewel Necklace and matching Green Deco Earrings, these have a lovely vintage style to them and are pieces I can see myself wearing, and I also think the prices are great for these items. The Miu Miu Choker and Miu Miu Chain Earrings are also very nice jewellery pieces. I can't resist a good pair of sunglasses, so of course I had to get the Black Sunglasses - honestly these look great, and I'm delighted to add them to my collection of almost identical black sunglasses^ While it does look like there are belts in the release, these are all attached to clothing, which isn't so ideal.
Now onto the clothing, the easiest thing is to do it by floor. The first floor is quite dressy, there's gold and silver and glamour. Both the gold pieces are super cute, the Gold Deep V Dress is a sheer sleeveless knee-length dress which will be a great layering piece, while the Gold Turtleneck Dress is a retro mini length but it's a little on the loose side, I'd prefer something more fitted. There are two other dresses on this floor, the Yellow Mini Dress which is in such a sweet colour but is more of a casual style, and also the Peep Hole Dress which is simple and fitted but with a large cutout in the front. I really love the coat on this floor, the Grey Oversized Coat, which has slight oversizing, elbow-length sleeves and is in such a beautiful blue-grey colour. There is a pretty silver brooch on the front too. The last item I want to mention from this floor is the Embellished Brown Coat, this was the first piece to catch my eye in the release and honestly I love it - it's got a purple hue to it and sparkles all over and it just looks amazing, like a perfect Autumnal dressy jacket, I can't wait to wear it! The second floor is very preppy, it's all about those pleats, shirts and blazers - which will be popular for sure, but isn't so much my style. The good thing with this floor is several pieces have both male and female versions. The second look on the left really caught my eye with the Maroon Blazer, this colour really looks great, again this piece will be great for Autumn. I really quite like the look of the Cropped Cream Tank underneath it, I like the neutral base paired with the burgundy stripe detail around the neckline, it really stands out to me. The Oversized Cream Sweater also has a similar colour palate, so I think it will also be a popular piece. I also quite like the look of the Cropped Sailor Shirt, it's a simple piece in white but the sailor-style collar is quite eye-catching, it's been done very nicely, I like that the fit isn't too cropped and also has a good amount of loose-fit around the body. The third and final floor is a bit mixed with styles, there's a lot of leather going on mixed with some bright colours. The piece here that really caught my attention is the Green Puffer Jacket, it's another piece that's very Autumn/Winter, I just think the colour is eye-catching and something that we don't have a lot of in the Plaza. It's a versatile colour so I think it will be a really fun one to style up. The last piece to mention is the Leather Handkerchief Top, which is a bustier black leather piece. Now this isn't so much something I would wear, but from past pieces I can tell will be a popular option (it's very similar to a Prada top we've had before).

F E A T U R E S
First up is Bianca.Vos styling the Scrunched Blue Blazer and Grey Socks in this stylish preppy outfit. The blazer is just perfect for this trend, it looks great with the tweed skirt chosen, but would also work with many others that we have. I really like the long length of both the blazer and skirt together. The cardigan and tee layered underneath is also super cute^ And the socks and heels styling is perfect to complete the style.
Next we have harpie wearing the Gold Deep V Dress in this beautiful metallic look that looks set for a Bollywood movie^ I love the layering with this one, the pieces just work great together especially the long tulle skirting in the back. Love the accessories and beauty styling as always, such a stunning hairstyle in particular, so luscious!
The next look comes from mery.- who wears the Embellished Brown Coat. In fact, in this doll's styling from the last release, this one actually uses the same pair of trousers, what a coincidence - they're perfect in both ways! The mix of colours is great in this look, the coat really has purple hues against the pretty pale pink and the dark green and burgundy of the trousers and shoes really grounds the dark tones in the coat - a really fab balance. Of course, also love seeing this LE bag get a styling, think it looks fab there^
And lastly we have our very own miloshki styling the Low Rise Leather Skirt in a fun street-style way. The skirt pops in the look by being the only dark and leather piece, I love the black against the brown of this over-elbow jacket, the styles are great together. The sweater adds a preppy Miu Miu-esque vibe to the look and I think the trainers and socks are a perfect balance against that top half of the look =)

S T Y L I N G S
Now for my looks - I picked up a few other pieces than those features here, so I'm sure they'll be on my doll soon. First up the Cropped Cream Tank and Canvas Pouch Bag - when I first saw this top, immediately pairing it with these trousers was what came to mind, and I'm pleased with the outcome. I couldn't find a jacket to work with this, but I think it still looks good. I kept the other additions simple, these nude heels are super neutral and I was able to add some more red in this necklace which I'm really loving in this look =) Next are a number of pieces, the Green Puffer Jacket, Black Sunglasses, Green Jewel Necklace, Black Short Gloves and Black Pouch Bag. I started with the jacket and then the other pieces all just fell on there haha! This is definitely an Autumn/Winter look rather than Summer but I wanted to include it anyway because I really like it, the green with the dark black and navy really pops, and I'm so happy with my decision to layer the necklace ontop of the jacket, love it there as a collar clip^ And finally the Yellow Mini Dress which I think suits my doll super well in the colour. I did struggle a little with styling this because I didn't really want to cover up much of it, but I like the final look. The white collar was perfect to add white into the look, I think this over-shoulder jacket is great with it. Love this classic Summer bag and these cute yellow glasses there in the hand, a perfect finishing touch =)

L I M I T E D E D I T I O N #52 | Release Review

Finally a brand new LE release, it's LE52 and it comes quite some time after the previous collection. This came out on the 7th of June 2024 so that was a 7-month break between collections. Let's get on in and see the collection:
I think this release is a really nice size, there are 3 floors and a total of 16 looks, with 2 of them having both male and female-sized pieces, which I like as an option. I do think the overall vibe of the release is nice, but it's not something hugely new, we get a lot of these glamorous gown-based releases and I think I'm ready for something different from LE. In the past there were a good mix of styles and it's getting a bit same-y for me - of course that didn't stop me picking up a few pieces!
First up, the accessories! There are 5 pairs of shoes to choose from with metallics being a big factor in their design. The pairs which really stood out to me were the Pearl Net Booties which are a fabulous Chanel-inspired pair of boots that I can see being perfect in Autumn with that beige colouring, and also the Braided Crystal Heels which are a super stylish mule heel, sure they're nothing unique in idea but they look fabulous^ There are 4 bags to choose from in a range of styles. I really like the Shell Purse, it doesn't seem to fit the rest of the collection too much, but I think it's super cute for Summer stylings. The piece I was really on the fence about was the Swan Purse, it's very niche in it's style but it's covered in sparkles and I somehow think it's quite fabulous?! Well, I bought it on a whim, so let's see how I think about it after trying to wear it XD There are quite a few jewellery and other accessory items in the release, I picked up the Gold Linked Earrings as these are the piece most to my style, but I do think a lot of the items are quite wearable which is really nice to see. The Laurel Leaf Belt looks pretty cool too, although we've had a few leaf belts over the years.
Onto the clothing next - as I said, it's a lot of gowns and the styles of some are quite vivacious, so really won't be to everyone's taste. The first floor of the release is all black and silver, and I think that actually does a really nice job at drawing you into the collection - despite being close in colour, the designs are all unique. The Diamond Couture Dress sure stands out with all those elaborate explosions of diamonds from the top part of the dress - I'd love to see someone style this up creatively. The Dragonfly Screen is certainly something unique, it looks great and seems like it will have some versatility to it as well. The Crossed Arm Cape is a very interesting piece, I really like the idea of this and think it looks great, just not for me, so it's another piece I'm looking forward to seeing styled. I did pick up the combination of the Diamond Swan Blazer and Ruffle Skirt, I think these pieces will look great separately. There have been a few skirts similar to this one released in the past and I've more than once had regrets that I didn't get it, so this time I'm trying it out! The second floor of the release has more of a gold theme, but I'm not really feeling too much love for any of these pieces - the gold isn't quite the right shade for me. I do like the look of the Gold Chevron Dress but I just have no idea how I would style it. From this floor I did however pick up the Sequin Bodysuit because I love the pink/purple colour it has and really thought this would be fun to work with. And of course, I can't resist the most neutral pieces of a collection - I also got the White Blouse and Draped White Trousers, both super simple and versatile pieces that I'm the most looking forward to adding to my wardrobe. The third and final floor is a bit more of a mix of eclectic styles - not so much my thing, I do like the look of the Ruched White Skirt, but with the train I'm not sure about styling it, so I've passed on it this time. The Mugler Whispy Dress is very similar to designs we've had before, I think it's cute but nothing hugely special/unique.

First up in the features is Claudentia wearing the Shell Purse in this super feminine and ethereal look. I love the use of all the light (in both weight and colour) fabrics in the look against the harder pieces in the bag, I think they balance against the straw style well. The pearls of the jewellery are a perfect tie-in for those details in the bag, really love it^
And then we also have fergaysson who wears the Sequin Bodysuit in a great wearable way^ These shorts add a smart touch, and I think the grey colouring is a fantastic choice against the purple and silver sequins. The chain belt is also great here, it almost looks like part of the bodysuit. The white accessories really pop, they stand out well, I think the chunky design of the necklace is a good balance to the delicate details on the bodysuit, such a great combination overall =D

First up I styled the White Blouse and Draped White Trousers, so dreamy together, but did both work separately when I tried them with other pieces (just couldn't resist together for this post). These fit the doll beautifully and are so easy to add to. I picked matching light accessories and highlighted some golds in the look. I think the open neckline of the blouse is great and a perfect opportunity for necklaces. Next is the Ruffle Skirt which I just think is a great piece, I'm so glad I picked this up and now I really don't want to take off this outfit! It's different for me, more glam than a daily look that I would normally go for, but so fun^ This sparkly bodysuit worked perfectly with the skirt, and made for a good base to also add these shoes to as they have a very similar sparkly style. I kept accessories simple in silver and black and I think that made for an effective styling =) And finally the Diamond Swan Blazer, Swan Purse and Braided Crystal Heels, these pieces just work great together. I really wanted to make the swan items work together and red was the first addition I could think of to highlight the beak on the bag. I love the loose fit of this skirt, somehow it makes the blazer seem like a great office-wear choice, which is funny because sparkling swans don't seem 'office' at all. The shoes were the perfect addition, keeping it simple to let those swans stand out!
