Final Song

Yes, it's my final post! The past month has flown by very quickly, and it's been a lot of fun styling each of the Hotbuys.
I'd love to come back some time, but for the moment my month as a Guest Writer is up plus I have essays to write and exams to study for! If you miss me, just pop over to visit me at Sunnysidessue on Stardoll!

Bag It Up Challenge #131

It's the end of the week, yay^ And time for another challenge post - really getting them out this week! This next piece is another HB and quite an old one, the Star Purse from Pretty 'N Love and it's one of those pieces I do quite like every now and again^ And also something you don't see worn much by anyone else! More pink from me I'm afraid, but how could I avoid it with this bag?! Anyway, the top is a fab fashion choice adding more details to the bag with the bow and frills. I like the contrast for the pinks with these trousers, while the colours do fit, they're not too pink and make quite a nice different style - I think it's pretty cute and I think this bag does have a good chance in my wardrobe^

Belted

High fashion and ready for the street-catwalk with this feature today from rob__in! I love the layering of the puff-sleeved oversize shirt with this sweet ruffled one-shoulder top, the colour tones work really nicely together and the contrast isn't too harsh. The pieces go well with these loose cropped trousers and overall the items have been accessorised well, love the spiky heels and chain bag along with the tied belt - it works in so many situations! Plus these red lip and hairstyle, spot on =D

W O M E N S D A Y T E E

It's been a while since Stardoll gifted us this Womens Day Tee, but I've kinda been saving it up to include in a Styled Outfits post =D I attempted, as usual, different styles - I think it was sort of successful with casual then done up and then ... something else, probably slightly crazy! But I like all three of the styles nonetheless.
Casual - this tee works well with jeans, I think that is quite a given as most tees do work with jeans, but I love these high-waisted culotte ones particularly, I think it's the darker blue denim rather than going for a washed style. I think the crop adds to the casual-ness and I liked keeping a little classy with my white blazer and belt and loafers!
Dressed up - white trousers do well in dressed up situations and I think the tee fits that style very well, especially these widelegged pair =D This beautiful pink colour works with anything (at least I make it fit) and so this seemed like a great opportunity to show both the versatility of the shirt and the colour, love this overcoat with the tee and accessorising with this belt, giving a fashionable designer touch to the piece.
Crazy - yeah that's how to describe this slightly random combination of pieces! I liked the idea of these flared tasseled trousers with the tee giving a lot of detail to contrast just the slogan, but then I also though the long sleeves looked good too ... maybe not but worth a try! The furry vest would work with the tee in lots of different situations though, so I think this would be a piece to try again, maybe with a skirt next time^

Folded in

A very cool-chick dressed up casual for today's feature coming from fearstar, isn't is all kinds of fabulous?! I love these jeans and this is another great styling for them, looking very smart with the white shirt but adding a cool girl vibe with this Callie's Picks Gathered Silk Blouse which looks great alone, and paired as shown above^ The tone is perfect with the jeans and gives a really nice contrast. Love the metallic accessories with this one, the gold and silver look good and I think every piece was a good choice, especially the circular handled bag, it's a fave =D

Bag It Up Challenge #130

Mid-week challenge post - featuring a couple of old Hotbuys today! These are two pieces I wasn't 100% convinced about at their time of release and I'm happy to say that I have at least given one of these pieces a couple of chances since then and it's growing on me^ First up the Neat Stripe Clutch which was released in February last year so there's been plenty of time for this piece, and I do quite like it now. The tone of the colours is really nice and does give you quite a few colour options for considering for clothing in the style. This time with it I went with that quite prominent of dull yellow and made it pop with these clothing choices - totally love it! I didn't add too much else as I think the top is quite decorated as it is and the stripes are detail enough =) And secondly the slightly more exotic Sequin Cross Body which actually came out almost 2 years ago and I kinda have put off styling even though it's in an awesome shade of orange! I stuck with exotic and choose this orange and green body that I've also been yet to style, and I surprisingly really quite like this - with all that colour in the top half I went for plain black trousers/jackets/boots and I think it works in emphasising the patterns on the other pieces^

Navy flow

A pretty ocean style with some pretty layering in this styling today from Jessii_kah^ This skirt is growing into my current favourite trends and I love it with this long sleeved top - it's the extras which make the pieces come across as super unique and definitely stand out in a crowd of navy! The wave pattern looks great and I love that it's been put on a bodycon dress style ontop of the flowing skirt and top, loving these vibes^ Boots an awesome rock-chick feel that I'm totally not confident to pull off =)

L I M I T E D E D I T I O N | Styled Outfits

And to follow up from my LE Review, my LE Styled Outfits! I had such a good time styling these pieces and I'm excited to have them for the summer season this year. First up some brights - on the left are the Leather Belted Pants which look super hot with this yellow top, it's a combination to shine! Other black shiney accessories really emphasise the trousers and I think this is a classy look for them. And then also the Patchwork Dress which was simply made to be worn with these trouser, it's a great paired look and way to wear this short dress. Love how the small black sections of the dress really lean well into accessory choice. Both of these make me so excited for summer!
And now blush toned looks - my eyes still get little hearts just upon seeing this colour! First the Blush Pants with a great fit, the length is fab and I really adore my styling with this cool sweater combination, the little trim on the sweater beneath suits the pink well, as does the bag combination focusing on shades of pink^ Then secondly the Satin Platform Sandals which were absolutely made for this overcoat. I love this outfit a lot, and I'm so glad I used these fringed trousers as I think they add just the right amount of detail not to detract from the effect of the use of the pink - this is gonna be the next look I rewear =D
And lastly some slightly darker styles. First up with two pieces, the Backless Loafers and the Layered Plisse Skirt which I've styles as a top. I kept the rest of the clothing simple as I wanted attention at the shoes which the yellow ties with as it's very close to a golden tone. I think it's worked out effectively and is a good way to start off getting some ideas on how to wear the snakeprint in other stylings. And last but not least, one of the most exciting pieces, the Striped Wideleg Pants! So excited for these and so glad with how well they suit my doll. I stuck with a typical styling using other navy and white pieces. I adore how these snazzy pointed heels work well with the trousers elongating the ankle. Couldn't resist that yellow shoulder bag either because yellow was made for navy, end of discussion^

Midas Touch

Was redecorating my suite, and just had to incorporate the colours into my outfit. These pants are really hard to pick shoes to go with due to their cropped length, but that only makes it all the more satisfying when it all goes together!

I wore:

International Womens' Day Womens' Day Purse
Antidote Chalk Trousers
Callie's Picks Silk Blouse
Riviera Solid Gold Choker
Callie's Picks Black Lace Bandeau
Vinyl Fishnet Black Socks
Fallen Angel Strappy Web Corset

C A L L I E S P I C K S | Styled Outfits

The recent Callie's Picks Runway to Workplace is very much Tribute-based and being someone who has been around for them all, I don't feel like there are 'new' pieces here that I want to pick up but a few of the little extra pieces are definitely a lot more spot on - one piece I have to pick out that I wear all the time are the Blushed Tapered Trousers! I ended up buying a couple of pieces and I think they work out pretty versatile, although sticking to the store theme I decided to style them with a slight workwear focus =) First up are the Baby Blue Trousers which have a pretty spring tone and a great shape to them. I love a good cropped style, so these ones are right up my street^ I liked pairing them with other blues and darker tones to let the lightness standout, and I think they do totally work with these black heels as well. In the middle I've gone with the very affordable Everyday Long Blazer in this sports-work look, and I love it! The yellow is a great pop for the black and it's an easy piece to wear in different ways and I like showing the glamorous side with the shoes and bags. And lastly I've chosen the Knit Sweater Blouse, which I was a little unsure of at first because I don't like the shape so much, but the colour and patterns are a yes! It was easy enough to cover up the shape with a blazer, but I think I'd like the grow to like this more. The colour suits white and silver well very naturally so I went this direction for this time, maybe I'll step out of the box for the next wear =D

Studded sheer

A great oversized styling in this light and breezy styling from Zsazsa_Loo in this feature. The wide-leg trousers really caught my eye first, because they remind me I need to wear these more often, and then I was like 'ooh I like that skirt over trousers effect' and it's true^ The dress piece is fantastic, not something you see worn much at all, and I think the colouring of it is just great with that of the trousers. Also love the studded pattern across the body and sleeves, it's all the detail that the outfit needs!

Bag It Up Challenge #129

Happy Monday! For today's challenge post I'm styling the bag I purchased from the recent LE release - the LE SS2017 Handbag =) I love the style of the piece with the hooped handle in gold and the sweet shape and size of the body of the bag - I think this could easily become a longtime favourite! I really liked styling it, and this new LE release really gave my style ideas a fresh boost so I kept that up in styling this look. Love using this maxi dress as a split midi skirt, I think it works surprisingly well in the first place and works with the bag^ And this sweater ... it's become one of my recent most-used pieces, love the style with my bag-skirt combination. And accessories, it was impossible to not use gold, so I popped on these fantastic heels, a necklace (under the choker part of the sweater, which I am loving) and some sunglasses ... my favourite current style - let me know how you guys feel =D

City safari

All ready for a summer safari in today's feature from MeLolitka^ I recently featured another look with this TRAILS Safari Wrap Dress, but I loved this one too and wanted to show some more versatility for it^ The leopard has been hidden to give the piece a different feel and I love the addition of the orange printed pattern on the coat, it looks fab with the army-green tone - as does the cool inclusion of glamorous accessories with this chain quilted bag and LE chain decor =)

L I M I T E D E D I T I O N | Release Review

Loved getting the little tip-off from Stardoll on Thursday that Friday would bring our newest floors of Limited Edition! The logo is great and the pink is fantastically trendy, sending me in a panic that I would adore everything and spend a lot of SD's! The advert is good, very bright and vibrant and showing a mix of pieces - it's totally those lip colours that draw me into it =D
Highlights The release was two floors and very much summer resort themed, but as for clothing there isn't so much a theme as there is 'lot of trends and designers people like' - and it works! For me it makes a store more sellable and wearable if there is a wider range of pieces which will work for a wider range of people and this one ticks the boxes.
Accessories This section really has mostly and shoe and bag focus, with a few other items thrown in here and there. Personally this works out well for me because I don't wear jewellery so much and so I don't find a lot of it adding anything to a store, so the more shoes the better in my eyes^ This release had 4 pairs of shoes, I just bought the 3 of them=P I really liked the choices and styles that the pieces were in, it's great to see Stardoll following what's popular amongst members! So with these I mean the rather fabulous Gold Heel Mules and the quirky yet stylish Backless Loafers which are both fab low/flat shoes to have and I do think there is a reasonable amount of versatility there with them =) Also loving the metallic sheen to the Satin Platform Sandals, I think the pink shade is perfection and fits well with my favourite trend of the moment! There's also the Floral Printed Boots which I can see being popular but from experience I'm not the best with printed boots so I'm giving these a miss, I do quite like the dark cuff on the top of them though, that's a great point about them. There are 3 bags, and I really like these styles for the current season. All 3 are handheld bags and I do find them reasonably similar to each other especially with their use of golden accents. In black there are the LE Bucket Handbag and LE SS2017 Handbag, and I lean towards the second there because I adore shape and circular handle which is super stylish and something I love on bags! And in pink there is the Piercing Handbag which is such a pretty piece and design, so I'm a little sad to have missed out on it, but also excited to see how others incorporate it into their looks! And now the rest - it's a pretty mixed bag of things, there's the Metallic Sphere Earring which is pretty high up on the glamorous scale with amazing detail and great ruby gemstones. The LE Tricolor Sunglasses definitely stand out because they're quite front and centre in the adverts.
Clothing And now the main attraction, all those clothes, and it's hard to think about where to start! So I think I'll go for those dresses which is probably one of the smaller categories with 5 pieces on offer - it's a good mix with bright and also minimal pieces to choose from. Both the Patchwork Dress and McQueen Inspired Floral Ruffled Dress stand out with their patterns and prints, and the colours of the pair of them are very present, which I love. Then the minimal styles with the longer pieces and a slightly romantic colour scheme with the Striped Lace Dress, Blush Flowy Dress and LE Silk Midi Dress with their beautiful shapes and their greatly designed flow and folds^ I'm not so much one for dresses anymore as I find I get a lot more wear out of individual items, but I was happy to get the Patchwork Dress for the more casual style and I look forward to wearing it later this week in my Styled Outfits post =) There are also 4 of the awfully popular co-ord sets, which I still love and am happy for - although I do find I'm more inclined to wear the individual pieces rather than the set. And these sets are in a great range of bright colours aside from the black Ribbed Cropped Top and Pleated Midi Skirt set =P Neutral with the Nude Tulle Top and Skirt, blushed pink (dreamy^^) with the Blush Belted Blouse and Pants and then super bright and resort appropriate Layered Plisse Top and Skirt which I adore so much, yellow is a great colour, and it's one I think looks fab on my doll! I'm not such a fan of the Blush Belted Blouse, but I think those matching Pants are an absolute winner and I can't wait to work with them. Speaking of trousers, lets just cover the others on offer in the store and for me, all eyes are on the Striped Wideleg Pants, aren't these just amazing?!?! They won't be everyone's style, I know that, but I was in love at the first sight of them, the shape, fit and colouring are all wonderful and I really do think they suit a lot of different dolls and styles. We can't forget two of the most popular pieces in this collection are in this category too, the LE Distressed Fabric Jeans (this style has appeared multiple times in LE collections and they're probably the fastest selling style ever!) and the Leather Belted Pants which also sold very quickly and for good reason, they're awesome! There's a couple of skirts as well, the Utility Twill Miniskirt, which I kinda wish I'd bought now, the rather romantic LE Lace Skirt in versatile black, and then the LE Belted Skirt which proved popular with it's belting/neckline style! I couldn't find anyone wearing the Utility Twill Miniskirt to include in the features, but I hope someone wears it soon, hint hint! Not too many outerwear pieces in this release but they sure were popular - the Embroidered Jacket and LE Jacket Combo are in trendy styles and good fits so it's no wonder that they went like hotcakes - again, although I actually wasn't really interested in getting them, I look forward to seeing them styled. And lastly a whole range of tops, with a good mix actually. I am quite gutted about not getting the Lace Cutout Shoulder Top, but nevermind, there's also the Knit Crop Top, LE Sheer Bodysuit, YSL Inspired Sweetheart Blouse and Cutout Cropped Sweater, which all bring different styles to the store and really cover a range of what people might be looking for to purchase =)
Prices This collection is priced between 19 and 170SD's which pretty much fits exactly with the previous handful of collections - nothing really to complain about, I think pieces were well priced for what they were on the most part. One comment I do have, which is pretty little, is that the app main page gives the wrong prices for the pieces, until you click on individual items then it's right - I had my first look on the app and was like 170 for jeans?!?! But it was definitely not correct!
Features I think these features are a real treat today - a great range of looks and styles with a good range of pieces from the store =) First up are some of the darker pieces from the release. Golden_golden1 wears the Embroidered Jacket and LE Velvet Choker in this dark dressed up styling. I love the use of the thick gold belt in the middle giving a great shape to the black pieces which really let the jacket stand out with the slightly different shade. Also really like the addition of the grey fur, it adds something a little different and really caught my eye!
Next up is Jesika_Stem going with the Ribbed Cropped Top, LE Belted Skirt, Striped Lace Dress and YSL Inspired Sweetheart Blouse - what a lot! I think the look has been put together very well and I like all the different aspects the pieces have each brought to the style, light and cool with the skirting yet dark and grunge-like with the leathers and dark pieces on top - good job!
Just a tad brighter with this next styling from Mia1435 wearing the Lace Cutout Shoulder Top and this is pretty much exactly how I was hoping someone would style it, it's perfection =) Love the striped matched shoes, they're a fab fit with the shirt, as it making good use of the lace and choosing this floral skirt. The bag is a thoughtful choice too, loving the addition of black stripes over blue with it!
Slowly getting more bright with this fourth feature, pandaribbon wearing the Striped Wideleg Pants in this springtime look. The red is a great fit for the blue and is so attention grabbing! Love the paler blues emphasising the navy but also the use of the quilted white with the top. Overall the look is pretty inspiring for these trousers =)
And all the colours! Most colourful outfit goes to Mery.- styling the LE Silk Midi Dress and LE Pantashoes, and really upping the ante from how they were combined in the store! I love them with these blue trousers, such a great colour fit, and I think the red accessories are great! Makeup and beauty look can't be ignored either, that eye makeup is spot on =D

Gingham

Gingham is growing in popularity this season and I think this look from MagdalenaDior dabbles in it just the right amount^ These self-made shoes are fantastic! I never think flats will look good and then pairs like these come and blow me away - pink and gingham gets all the thumbs up^ The look is perfectly complementary to the shoes, totally selling them, and I think it's got a great classical vibe from it too =D

Medusa

I decided to attempt a styling of this dress from Callies Pick's.

I was super pleased with how many starcoin items they had in the latest collection, especially since Callie has a bad habit of making previously sc items into sd ones.

I wore:

Callie's Picks Shirt Dress
Basic White Lace Dress
PPQ Of Mayfair White PPQ Scarf
Tingeling Halloween Couture Serpentine Headpiece
Inspired By Chanel Tribute White Box Logo Purse
Special Tribute GOM Plexi Nude Heels

We Wear Hotbuys M A R C H | Micro Dott Slip

How did this happen, it's the last March HB already?!?! This is the Micro Dott Slip from Fallen Angel and it costs 28SD's, which is maybe a little expensive for a base but I think it could definitely have the versatility factor if you give it a chance! The shape is simple on the doll but cut in a flattering way. I like both style features of the lace trim and the dotted style which does come across as gingham-like when you look from afar =)
I don't know about the others but this was a really easy-to-style HB! I think the two different style aspects of it make it easy to work with a wider range of styles and it really slipped naturally into pieces that I go to a lot^ Vote in the poll too:

Overall overalls

I think this is a fab outfit for the new Spring season spotted on Nitielll...... recently! This mustard sweater has been a great winter piece, so it's fresh to see it out from underneath a coat and I think it looks particularly good in this DIY overall look with these perfect black culottes (I love the shape difference between them and the sweater^) and the patent bralette, they all fit nicely! The accessories are perfect and highlight some fab features, but I especially like the use of this sweet little HB bag =D

Bag It Up Challenge #128

Following up from my recent PEARLS Review, I decided to style the two bags that were released with the collection for this challenge post - the Kelly Inspired Classic Handbag and the Primrose Tassel Handbag, both sweet pieces with adorable designs and in perfect current colours^ I went for pretty opposite colour schemes for the looks, choosing black to let the red of the Kelly Inspired Classic Handbag stand out well, and it works! I like the style of the crop trousers with the bag style, they're a sweet pairing, also loving the straps on the coat tying in with the hanging strap of the bag. While for the Primrose Tassel Handbag I went super match-y with these yellow trousers and this surprisingly rather useful fluffy jacket^ I love this look as something quirky for me and I think it actually works out really well for my doll and for the bag =D

Femme

Street style all glitzed and silvered and designered up in todays look from James69. =D There's a lot of different styles mixing in there but I think it's an effective styling all round. The white base is great to layer onto and I like the addition of the 'We Should All Be Feminists' tee with the meshed vest, they're a great pairing, and I like the silver marble effect of the jacket with these pieces as well. The belt really stood out to me as a fab creative piece, love the draped chains and the sweet little Chanel bag included^

W I N T E R G A R D E N F L O R A L S K I R T

Recently a very kind friend gifted me this awesome Winter Garden Floral Skirt from Bizou which has been on my wishlist for what feels like ever! And I've been very excited to style it for you^ I tried to go in with an open mind and try a range of styles, colours and pieces, but naturally I've come right back to purple in them all ... oh well, there's always next time =D
For my first look I tried to pick up on the 'winter' of the name and choose warmer darker pieces, and I like the black with the skirt, I don't think it's too much, but also love this lilac coat I just think the shape isn't quite right for what I was wanting. The second look is possibly my favourite and I wore the skirt as a top! I think it's pretty perfect here and it works with that fur so well! The white trousers are a great light piece for the look and I couldn't help but accessorise with more purple in the shoes - this is something I will 100% wear again and I look forward to trying it with different coats and jackets =) And lastly something a little smarter - collar sweater and blazer, naturally in purple and white^ Not sure if I think the purples go very well, but it's an easy fit together for the skirt!

Suite Style

Oh so stylish and fashionable with this awesome suite feature from blairvanderbilt - who rocked another suite room back in January^ I love this classy style for the marbled suite room, the black pieces really stand out and pop against the white and the gold fits in very well =) I love the quirky style of pieces chosen, like the chair and lamp and tables. Love all the little decor pieces making up the centrepiece, I think they all look good as a set, plus the painting choices, very cool!

P E A R L S | Release Review

The end of last week came with a new PEARLS release, which was quite nice as I find it easy to get at least one or two items and for a reasonable price! I like the homepage ad, it's reasonably simple and I still like the use of real dolls, they've even included the username now which is a nice personal touch!
Highlights So just the one floor but I don't feel like that's a negative thing with this store while it's still a relatively small outlet. There's also a guys outfit included too but I don't find any of these pieces hugely special. The overall style is pretty smart, but versatile at the same time so I think this will be a reasonably successful release!
Accessories The store is quite minimal on the accessory front with just 5 pieces available. I didn't really find myself enamoured but either pair of shoes - I really thought I'd like the Classic Horse Bite Loafers but actually once they were on my doll I found the colour off-putting and it really didn't suit me at all, sadly. There are also the Suede Peep Toe Platforms in the shoes category. These are alright and are priced well but again I don't like them on my doll so much. The bags totally save this one for me because I love both that are available! There is the smaller Primrose Tassel Handbag which has a sweet delicate design and comes in an adorable size then the Kelly Inspired Classic Handbag in a bright red and larger style. I love both pieces and they make a really nice set - I'll be styling these in a Bag It Up Challenge post later in the week =D
Clothing There are 4 outfits in the store and I found that most of the pieces seem very interchangeable between looks which is great for versatility! There is one dress, the Powdered Blue Pleathed Dress which I love the colour of and the smart style. It comes well decorated already with pleats and a high collar and a bow which means you don't need to add so much to it. There are two co-ord sets, one which is also baby blue, the Double Breasted Blazer and Pleated Shorts then the bright red Pearl Button Red Jacket and Red Suit Pants. I'm definitely leaning towards the red as I think the style of the pieces are much more wearable. The final look is also blue, although not matching - the Navy Blue Classic Slacks, a very easy-to-style piece which I know will look well before even trying them on, and the Classic Denim Shirt which I think stands out from the store as something different but also looks good. The fitted shape is lovely and I think it looks nice on the doll.
Prices The release is ranged between 7 and 16SD's and actually everything, especially the clothing, is very well priced and affordable. In fact some of these would have been perfect for my 10 Under 10 clothing instalment last week!
Styled Outfits So I already mentioned the bags will be styled later in the week so here are my looks with the clothing! I bought 3 pieces and it's great that nothing broke the bank =D First up the Powdered Blue Pleathed Dress which I just went all out with with the baby blue^ Love this blazer with the dress, and the shoes, but accessorised with black to add to what the bow brings to the piece. I love the style of the dress being very presentable and modest. Second up are the Red Suit Pants which I went for a firm favourite combination with pink. Love the oversized-ness of the coat with these trousers and actually the tone works pretty well, plus the matching strapped heels, these would be a must for my next look with the trousers! And lastly the Navy Blue Classic Slacks which I tried to style more creatively for me, and I'm happy with the outcome =) Went with pink because I think it's good with navy but I also like what the striped top brings with the different tones. Pink in the accessories too and I'm pleased with the overall feel^

Green street

I'm not a typical neon-fan, but this look could easily convert me to an accessory or two from dm2udm2u! I think the green looks very fresh and has been chosen well to stand out from the use of black in the clothing. This is also another great look with this cutout skirt, which looks fab with this split sweater. The accessories do their job as eyecatching elements, especially the fur bag along with the shoes and bangles. The hat and earrings are also great additions that I look forward to seeing more from =D

We Wear Hotbuys M A R C H | Balenciaga Inspired Crossbody Bag

I have been so stoked to get to this next HB, the Balenciaga Inspired Crossbody Bag, it just looks like an awesome piece from the get-go! It's from Bizou and costs 20SD's which I think is very much worth it =D The colour is great and the shape and size are perfect for what the piece is, and easy to work into other items.
I think our looks just show how hugely versatile this bag is and that it works with such a range of styles and items, I look forward to what else I come up with for it and seeing it worn on other dolls around the site =D Vote in the poll too^

Wrapped up

Cool and calm with this feature today coming from Burberryy - isn't it a great mash-up of pieces?!?! I love both white and blue pinstripes and this look combines the two perfectly =D The tops look great together, I like the wrap style and flirty sleeves of the top piece paired with the length and darkness of the bottom piece. These PPQ white trousers are a firm favourite but I love the creativity behind using this knotted scarf sized up as a rather awesome belt - fantastic!

R U N W A Y | Styled Outfits

We had a new Runway release a couple of weeks ago and I found it rather underwhelming compared to the previous releases we've had in this store, so that was a bit of a let-down. Eventually I decided to give these Elie Saab Inspired Couture Caged Heels a go mostly because of the golden elements to the toe and I do love a good golden-accent in an outfit! There's even some left in the Plaza if you're now feeling inspired^
I tried to go for different directions with my stylings, choosing different bases and pieces in each look although baby-blue is a big feature. In the first look I loved this blue polo paired with the blue blazer and I liked using this darker skirt as contrast - with all that blue, black would have been too dark and I think this is a good compromise. For the second look I tried to bring bright with this great summer dress, which just so happens to have blue in it too. I like adding the black polo because I felt with the style I was going for the neck and the arms were just too much skin, and the black isn't too much because of the black lines of the dress =D And lastly, my most 'ready for summer' look! These blue trousers are a perfect fit for the shoes, I'd definitely wear them again^ And I felt like keeping it light and airy with this off shoulder top - and who could resist adding some gold?! This bag was a good fit, the size is perfect to not draw too much attention from the shoes.

Bag It Up Challenge #127

Challenge post today! And featuring two pieces on the pink spectrum =D These are both clutches, the first of which I've had for an absolute age and the second which is a newer piece to the Plaza. So first up on the left is the Hot Pink Satin Clutch from Pretty 'N Love and I've had it that long that I don't remember when it came out, a safe guess would be at least 5 or 6 years ago! It's an SC piece so shouldn't be too tricky to find in the Bazaar^ I love the vibrant pink shade, or more magenta shade, this bag has, and I like the shape of the clutch with the handle hanging down. It's an easy piece to fit into outfits really I think. I have worn it a few times back in the day, but I guess newer pieces pushed it to the back of my wardrobe recently! And the second bag is the It Girls Aerin Velvet Clutch which only came out back in November and I've already styled it a few times in other looks =) It's a very easy piece to wear and it's super affordable. I loved putting it into this spring styling, I think it's a great match for these floral jeans!
