I N S P I R E D B Y F E N D I | Tribute Review

Here is our fourth Tribute from this latest Tribute Season, and the last one - Fendi! Fendi has always been a pretty solid release from Stardoll, so I think it's safe to say this will be liked and relied upon. With the fresh new brands brought to the Plaza this time, it's nice to come back to an older one =) So let's get in and see what's on offer:
The store is pretty much as the others, with two floors of looks, a total of 8 to choose from with one being for male dolls. While the colours look very Autumnal to me, I think the mix of styles at first glance is fantastic, there's such a range to choose from, my eyes don't know where to look first! Beginning with the accessories, I think you'll all have realised that the first thing to take my fancy are the Fendi Inspired Glasses, these are so cute^ I love a good pair of sunglasses and I don't have anything like these so far. Love the square shape and the yellow tint to the lenses, just great! There aren't really any other jewellery pieces in the release, which I think would have been perfect additions, but there are plenty of shoes and bags to choose from. I love the colours of the shoes in the release, they're all different and eye-catching - I like the Blue Lace Stilettos the best, the baby blue is perfect for Spring and the pointed toe and mesh design is standout. I prefer these over the rounded toe styles on offer, but the Fendi Inspired Biege Sandals in a golden yellow are pretty tempting for Spring with their slingback design and chunky heel. The bags from this release are pretty great, and actually I bought all three of them! My absolute favourite has to be the Fendi Inspired Small Yellow Bag, it's just perfect in so many ways from the colour, the design and the look when worn, so great to have this in my wardrobe^ The Fendi Inspired Pink Bag was my bit of a wildcard purchase, love the colour and I think the design looks great, but I wasn't initially sure if it would be for me - I'll talk about it later in my stylings section of the post though. The final bag, the Fendi Inspired Tote wasn't initially shown in store, but it's a classic tan leather piece with a fab design - you'll also spot it later in the Features!
Next to the clothing - there's such a wide range of designs and styles to choose from which is great. For me, I prefer the accessories selection, but that doesn't mean I didn't make a few clothing purchases to try out. I think dresses are a big focus with the clothing, there's classic Fendi style pieces with the likes of the Fendi Inspired Bodycon in the classic brown with the 'F' logo all over, this one also has super cute sleeves, that's a really fun addition to the piece, or there are more modern vibes with the mixed Fendi Inspired Gown which is half pink formal with intricate details and half beige jacket - it's something quite different and could make for some really great stylings! That one isn't quite my style, but I am quite a fan of the Blue Lace Dress which isn't a typical 'me' choice, but there's something about it which I just want to give a chance to. The colour is such a pretty one for Spring and the sheer gives layering opportunities - I was also super inspired by one of the features below, it completely influenced this purchase for me! You can also get the Yellow Bodysuit to layer under this piece to get a look exactly from the runway^ If the classic 'F' logo print is your thing you can also get the matching Fendi Inspired Black White Tee and Shorts - I really like the printing on these pieces and I like it on the more modern fresh styles of clothing, they're very wearable items. They do look more blue to me than black and white, but still fun and I think some of the more popular pieces of clothing from the collection. The prices of this collection range between 18 and 38SD's with most pieces in the 20's which is about average for a Tribute collection. Nothing is SS/Royalty limited either which is good.

Fendi Inspired Black White Tee | Fendi Inspired Small Yellow Bag | Fendi Inspired Glasses
I found it so tricky choosing just a top three, I really like a lot of pieces from this collection but these are the ones that I think will be the most versatile and worn from what I picked up in the release. Can't go wrong with adorable yellow accessories in the Summer months that's for sure!

F E A T U R E S
First up is this amazing styling from GirlEwelina who inspired me to purchase the Blue Lace Dress, and also includes the matching Blue Lace Stilettos in this outfit - I love it so much! The dress looks amazing and has been layered very nicely with a few discrete pieces underneath which also help to highlight the pattern on the skirting in particular. The accessories are so beautiful, the silver looks great with the blue, the shoulder chains look fabulous!
Next up we have laurenboy wearing both the Fendi Inspired Small Yellow Bag and the Fendi Inspired Knot Sweater, firstly I have to say I didn't recognise the sweater at first because it looks a completely different colour when I tried it on my doll while here on a darker skin it looks a beautiful pink, it's stunning and doesn't look nearly as good on my dolls tan tone. The pairing with the skirt is fab, love the two together they're very complementary to each other, and of course the red boots with pale pink is a favourite combination of mine so it's natural that I love them in the styling too^ The yellow of the bag is a fun touch and I think it works really nicely to balance the bold colour in the boots as well!
Markhinos. shows that the menswear pieces can work well on a female doll too, styling up the Fendi Inspired Jacket Man which looks super cool and also a perfect piece for Summer! The colours on this piece look great with these white trousers, super complementary pieces to each other. I love the simple polo and belting underneath adding a little colour, but the accessories steal the show, love the pieces chosen^ The bag looks super cool hanging on the shoulder, and love these mesh heels, they're a perfect pairing for this outfit =)
So much love for these cool masculine vibes from sarah_1980 in this styling featuring the Fendi Inspired Black White Shorts, Blue Lace Stilettos and Fendi Inspired Small Yellow Bag - the pieces look great together and in combination with the rest of the additions. The oversized blue blazer (with great design details of its own too^) looks fantastic with these items, the shorts are great in colour and fit with it, and the shoes are a great colour match. The yellow pops out well and really draws your attention to that part of the styling. Wish I could pull off something as cool as this =D
Then we have Jacquemus wearing the Fendi Inspired Tote in this super cool street look - I think this will be perfect in the Autumnal months too with the beautiful colour pairings. The bag is super versatile so will work in a lot of ways, I'm loving the texture of it against the sheen of this overcoat, and the colour contrast really makes it pop, against the pale trousers too. The chunky trainers are classic, and this look shows to me how many options we'll have with a bag like this^
Never too much yellow, this look from maggi is totally after my own heart - wearing the Yellow Bodysuit, I was a little put off by the attached gloves but this awesome styling is making me wonder if I should reconsider! The colour is perfect with the base of these Summer trousers, and the polka dots add a little detail and fun touch^ The mixed accessories are great, love the contrast of the gold glasses and earrings with the black on the belting and shoes, such a great finish for the styling =D
And the final feature is from prinsestkm1 looking super classic Fendi wearing the Fendi Inspired Glasses, Fendi Inspired Small Yellow Bag, Fendi Inspired Socks Beige and the Fendi Inspired Beige Sandals - that's a lot of accessories in one, but they sure all work together! The colours of the accessories are very complementary to each other, and the clothing has been well chosen to work with that, I'm especially loving this checked blazer with the shorts there, such a nice combination which the accessories just take to that next level!

S T Y L I N G S
Now for my own stylings, first up the Fendi Inspired Black White Tee - which I still think looks blue after styling it up. I really liked working with this and found a lot of options for it so I'm sure you'll see it again soon. I liked the all-white look which really makes the printing design pop, and I really like how the trim at the hem and collar stand out well too, they're definitely one of my favourite features of this piece. I kept the accessories simple and really just added these dark glasses which I think work nicely to help highlight the dark in the top and keep it from being too light a look. Next I styled the Fendi Inspired Pink Bag, which took me so long because I was being super indecisive about it - I had 3 or 4 trousers and skirts picked out which all looked equally good with the bag and just couldn't make up my mind! In the end these lilac ones won out, and the colour is just such a great fit with that of the bag - but it's good to know there are other options too. I really kept the look super simple so that the bag and it's details were the focus and I think that's worked out nicely. I did find myself limited a little with what colours to pair with it, purples and pinks worked best for me, so if you're not into those then this bag might not be ideal for you - would love to see some others try out this piece! And finally pairing up the Fendi Inspired Glasses and the Fendi Inspired Small Yellow Bag together which I couldn't resist, they're so good together^ And I wore them in a very classic me way, the beige base of the clothing really lets the colour and design of the new Fendi pieces pop out in the styling, which is completely what I wanted - super simple yet super effective styling!

T R A I L S | Styled By You / / Styled By Me

We're getting Summer-ready a little early with this recent release of TRAILS in the Plaza. These floaty fabrics, with short lengths and great colours are all spot on with some great and popular trends. There's a good mix of clothing and accessories and I'm super excited to style up some of these pieces in Spring vibes! First up though, a couple of features - the Frill Blouse (18SD's) seems to be the most popular choice and I'm loving the versatility with it I'm seeing so far. The first feature styling it up is Mia1435 going for a super fun mixed styling, with light airy clothing, pairing the blouse with a perfectly style-matched skirt, and then rocking it up in the accessories department. These black boots surprisingly look fantastic with this outfit, and the thick belting balances this perfectly, it suits the design of the blouse perfectly to highlight the best parts^ And the beauty and jewellery styling of this look is fantastic too, so gorgeous!
And then in something a little more casual is this styling from ayselevi, opting for a fun denim pairing with the piece, I think it's so cute! The denim brings something fun with the different panels on the jeans, but the light is kept with this handheld jacket and the white shoes. Also love the belt, it's a perfect addition, as is the little chain on the side^ The bags are also an adorable pairing, I love them together and both work perfectly for this styling. Another great jewellery selection in this styling, it really stands out to me =D
I of course also had to pick up the Frill Blouse from the store, it's just such a cute piece! I had such a good time styling this so I can see why it's been popular so far. I've gone for a super Summery styling, I think the neckline ruffle detail looks so good balanced with the ruffle design on this skirt, and the rest of the pieces being white really keeps the focus on the ruffle pairing^ I picked some simple jewellery and accessory pieces which I think complete the look very nicely, I'm so pleased with this styling overall! And then secondly I also styled the Rope Shorts (15SD's), I love the colour of these and how smart they look for a casual piece, and I also love this outfit^ This blazers base colour is a perfect match for the shorts and I think the black contrast does work quite nicely - I know it won't be for everyone, but I quite like it. I'm happy with the pale shoes and darker handbag style as I think that gives a good balance in the accessories so it's not too heavy on the black, but overall I think it makes a good Spring styling. I found a lot of cute top options for these shorts so I think I'll get good use from them in the upcoming seasons =D

C O T T O N T A N K T O P

Another slightly delayed set of stylings from the recent BASICS release, featuring the Cotton Tank Top in Brown (170SC's) - always love a BASICS release as a way to spend some of my SC's. This time the loungewear theme didn't really fit with my style, but I still managed to pick up this cute top which I think will be pretty versatile over time, it won't go to waste for sure!
First up going for all the beige, and actually while at first I wasn't sure about this look, in the end I think it's my favourite of the three^ This skirt is such a nice piece, and one that I don't see styled often, it's also a pretty perfect colour-match for the top and I love that too. I paired up with more matching colours, these sandals are a great fit with the skirt and I know it's a pairing I've worn before. The rest of the accessories are simple and I think it works well with the clothing the highlight of the styling. For the second look I've gone for a statement in the trousers, these stripes and the wide legs sure do that =) I think the colours are a good fit together and I think the beige accessories in there complete the look well without taking the focus away from the main part. I think it's just lacking a necklace or little jacket or something, while I love these earrings in the styling, the top just seems a bit plain here or like it's missing an element. And the final look, picked some light colours and I think this works really well in highlighting the top. These trousers and the jacket are a good Spring/Summer pairing and I've really glammed up the styling with some gold-based accessory choice, I really like it^ I had really run out of jewellery by this styling, I think it could really use a little something, maybe a single gold long earring perhaps? Anyway, I'm sure you'll see this piece around more especially once we're in the Summer months =D

Ruffles galore

I actually snapped this styling from DIORian quite some time ago, but it's so fabulous that I decided to share it anyway, how could I not?! I love all of those ruffles, the layering if the skirts is fantastic and the two pieces look like they were made for each other. The white skirt underneath really highlights the light tones on the grey piece and makes it pop. Plus I love the balance of the white pieces in this look with this cool cropped jacket, it's a great fit for the skirting design^ All of the necklaces and jewellery pieces are super cool too, and really complete this great styling =D

I N S P I R E D B Y A L A I A | Tribute Review

Onto the next Tribute Review now, here is our third release of this 'season' and it's another new one - ALAIA! I have heard of this brand before, but really know very little about it or the style of clothing to be expected from it so without further ado, onto checking out the store:
This release is perhaps a little smaller than the others so far, and also only includes clothes for the female dolls (not a problem for me, but for some it might be). Immediately I am quite drawn in by the more minimalistic style of the pieces and the neutral colours on show in the store, so first impressions are quite good of this one! I've now had a quick look at their recent collections and wow is this a brand for me, there are so many pieces that I like, so of course now I want a second ALAIA release to bring them all to my doll^ I'm not sure the pieces selected all express the brand to me how I've seen it from the real collections, but hey, I'm quite happy to have something fresh and inspiring in the Plaza. So first up the accessories, which really focuses on shoes in this release with 4 pairs on offer. They're all totally different styles which is great, the Suede Stiletto Pink offer something neutral, there's a few too many straps for me, but they're pretty cute, while the Black Pearl Stiletto is a great style for those who like something more classic. But my favourite pair is the Leopard Pumps, what a cute and standout shoe, how could I resist them?! These have a great print and an overall very nice design of the shoe, they look fab on the doll and I think will get a lot of wear. There are also a couple of bags in the release, but for me the winner in this category is the Alaia Inspired Laser Cut Bag, I love the mini-bucket style to it, the laser cutouts are very cool and it's completely something I don't already have in my wardrobe. Despite being black, I think it has such Spring vibes to it, but ultimately it will be a good decorative year-round bag. As a big sunglasses fan I must mention the Cat Eye Sunglasses, these are a chunky frame big pair with a detailed design. I'm giving these a pass because the details aren't so much my style, but they're a good option in the Plaza right now if you're in the market for more sunglasses =D
My first impressions of the clothing were that I was super impressed, I loved the mix of colours and the bold leopard print thrown in on the second floor. However after trying the pieces on my doll, the styles don't so much fit my preferences, but I still like some of the pieces nonetheless. The laser cuts, printing and design details across the collection really give so many different places to look at, there's so many different interesting aspects here. I really like the fringing design to the skirts of both the Halterneck Midi Dress (the colour of this doesn't suit me, otherwise I'd buy it for sure!) and the Knit Midi Skirt, I think they've been made very well and will style nicely. And the printing and scalloped trims to the Jaquard Knit Top, which has a beautiful square neckline also, and the Jaquard Knit Skirt are stunning, but I'd prefer it as a dress because I can't see myself styling the two separately - but maybe someone can prove me wrong here with an awesome styling! The pieces which do speak to me more are the more minimal styles, the Strech Bodysuit is in a nude colour and I think the design is very current with the collar style and little sleeves. It looks great on the doll, and at least for me the colour is perfect against my dolls skin tone. And also the Long Wool Skirt, which really looks like a Winter piece, but it just seemed so versatile with the minimal style, you can't go too wrong with something like this, right?! I also love the navy colour it has, totally one of my favourites, so I know I will wear it =) The prices of this release range from 18 to 38SD's which is about average for a Tribute, and there is nothing SS/Royalty limited which is a bonus^

Alaia Inspired Laser Cut Bag | Long Wool Skirt | Leopard Pumps
My top three from this release are the first pieces which caught my eye and I knew immediately that I wanted to buy. I think these are pretty versatile pieces and will work with a lot of different style combinations for outfits^

S T Y L I N G S
You guys really didn't seem to like this one at all because I spent so many days searching for looks to feature and really came up with almost nothing! After styling the pieces myself, I'm not so sure why that is because I had a great time putting together my looks and really loved working with these new pieces. First up the Long Wool Skirt, this pairing with this navy blazer was what came to mind when I initially saw the skirt, and I think the outfit has worked out so much better than I imagined! I'm a big fan of black and navy, so these black accessories came about very naturally and I think they all fit together and with the clothing very nicely - love all that sheen to them too as I really think it adds to the matte of the clothing pieces. Second up the Leopard Pumps, and I went for a super simple look to really highlight them in the styling, and I think I achieved that! These will look great with many colours, I think I'll go for something bright and white next time for a Spring styling, but the black is also perfect to highlight their colour. The length of these trousers is perfect to highlight all of the design aspects of the shoes. I did look at my leopard-print accessories, and I struggled to find anything that looked good added to the outfit, so I think maybe I'll be on the hunt for some more leopard print soon^ And finally the Alaia Inspired Laser Cut Bag, I loved styling this look and I knew immediately I wanted to pair these boots with it, no idea why, but I was thinking it was a good idea and I'm glad I followed through on that. I went for an all-white base to really pop the accessories, and I think the bag does great standing out against this big black overcoat. It's super simple, but I really love how this outfit has turned out! I honestly can't choose a favourite styling because I really love them all, which I'm pleased with - and hopefully some of you give this Tribute a chance =D

Buckled up

Sharing such a great street-style styling today from Thieli. that is so different from my own style, but I really like nonetheless! I thought this idea for layering was so cool, and an unexpected way to work this beige co-ord - the style of it with the belted dress is so different, yet I think the pieces are very complementary to each other. And the boots are also a perfect addition to balance the dress. I also love the black gloves and mesh sleeves, these accessory additions make a good balance to the rest of the styling =D
