P E A R L S | Release Review

I have to say, our latest PEARLS release into the Plaza really impressed me! Whilst there were vibes of the overall Pearls brand there are a lot of modern and fun touches to this collection - it's impressed me so much that I think it has earnt a review post (it's been almost a year since one), so lets get in and take a look:
This is a sizeable collection, with two floors and a total of 12 looks for female dolls and 1 for males which perhaps seems like an after-thought as it's quite simple in comparison to the choices for the females. The colours in this collection are super vibrant, my eyes don't know where to look first! Looking at the accessories there are a few choices, with shoes, bags and a couple of other pieces - for sure the first floor is quite full of accessories but the second is lacking a little. There are three pairs of shoes to choose from, the matching Leather Loafers Brown and White which are pretty smart shoes and I like the colour choices for these with the gold buckle on the front. I'm not such a fan of flat shoes, so these aren't so much my style. I do however really like the third pair of shoes, the Green Snake Boots, which don't seem to fit the theme of the store, but are a super cool boot! The green colour is stand out, I don't think we have much in this shade, and I love the pointed toe and the small chunky heel. These will be great for Spring and Autumn stylings I think. There are also three bags in the store which are all very Pearls-esque. For me the one that stands out is the White Shoulder Bag which is inspired by a Valentino one, I really like the shoulder bag style and the design is simple yet not basic - I love a gold embellishment! There is also the Dove Leather P Bag which is similar in style but is a darker colour, a handheld piece and also more of a box-bag style. And the final piece is more casual, the White Green Handbag which I think will be popular for Spring/Summer. The size of this is bigger than the other bags, I really like the white and green combination along with the wood-style handles - what puts me off is the PEARLS word across the piece, but this may work well for some tastes. There are just a few other accessories pieces in the store. The Tassel Pearl Earrings are super pretty in a pale pink, looking closely at these they're beaded all over which looks fab - I do find with the blonde hair they tend to blend in a little, so I will perhaps try these out when I'm wearing something darker. Then there is the Round Chain Necklace which is definitely a statement piece with the large medallion on it. I've not bought this yet but am super tempted, I especially like that one half of the chain is gold and the other is silver, that really temps me a lot! And finally is the Pearl Chain Belt, I'm still not sure what I think about this one, sometimes I like it on the mannequin and sometimes I think it's got a bit of a tacky vibe to it - perhaps seeing it included in a styling will help me make my mind up.
Now onto the clothing, which for me is definitely more impressive that the accessories of the release. The outfits all do seem quite stand-alone, which may be because most, if not all, are from separate brands/designers as inspiration. There is quite a lot of pleating going on, which is fine by me because I love a pleated skirt! The Brown Tulle Skirt is an amazing combination of tulle and pleating, it looks fab, I love the midi length and the ballgown skirted style, plus the colour is super pretty. The matching Woolen Jacket is very nice with it, it's not so much my style, but I appreciate the two together. And then also in this category is the Pleated Pastel Midi Skirt which I am just blown away by, it's such a beautiful piece, and of course so is the matching Pastel Blouse. I love the combination of colours and also the smart design that the pieces have, it really looks great on the doll. I also think these pieces fit very nicely - I'm so excited to see what people can do with these items! There is also a little hint of pleating in the Ombre Draped Dress, personally I'd love if this was a separate skirt and shirt too as I'd be able to get more wear from it. I love the brown and cream colouring to it and especially love the gathered details on the skirt, it's such a pretty piece! The Cropped Beige Blazer and Beige Shorts co-ord is pretty cute - the pieces together aren't so much my style with the very cropped length of the blazer, but perhaps separately the pieces will work for me. These pieces do look great with all of their accessories, but for me I will pass on these because the colour doesn't work so well against my dolls skin tone. A colour that does work for me is blue, and there's no shortage of that in this collection^ There are two tops to choose from, the Knitted Long Arm Top and the Cobalt Tie Cuff Top which are both relatively similar in that a lot of the design detail focuses on the sleeves, but they're unique pieces for sure and I definitely couldn't pick a favourite between them - I liked styling them both! And then for trousers there are the Cut Out Pattern Pants, which are just all kinds of fabulous with the circle details, and the Cobalt Tuck Pants which are such a smart neat pair of trousers, again, far too difficult to pick a favourite between them, but I do think the first pair will work better for Spring/Summer and the second pair for Autumn/Winter.

F E A T U R E S
First up for the features is GeraKowall wearing the Cut Out Pattern Pants in such a fun creative way. Despite the other bright colours added, these trousers do a great job and stand out well in the outfit. Blue and this pastel yellow make such a pretty Spring/Summer pairing, but it's the red that really draws you in - I particularly like the shoes and tights combination under the trousers, the hemline looks perfect there. I also love this bag in the outfit, a perfect accessory for these trousers. And the rest of the accessories complete the look nicely, I love the wide-brim hat and the delicate earrings^
Here we have Jassmaka styling up the White Shoulder Bag and the Brown Tulle Skirt - I wasn't sure about this skirt because of the little cutouts for the hands, but this look really has me convinced that I need to buy it! The brown and the blue look beautiful together, really a standout colour combination. The cardigan is such a sweet piece to style with the skirt, the open front works well with the fit of the skirt at the waist. The rezising of the bag makes it look pretty adorable and the light colours stands out nicely against the blue of the cardigan. To finish I love the blue socks and shoe combination, it's adorable and a perfect detailing to add to this skirt =D
And the final feature comes from harpie who wears the Cobalt Tuck Pants in a more simple styling - but one that really highlights the detailed design of the piece perfectly. The white shirt is perfect to make the blue really pop, but the Springtime interior also works perfectly for that too^ I love the added belt to the look, the brown is very nice against both the white and the blue. The rest of the accessories are also great, so excited to see these shoes in a look, I think they're great here, the lilac and yellow are fab with the blue and the yellow is further used in the bag - I love it =)

S T Y L I N G S
I bought so many pieces from this release that this is really a 'stylings part 1' - I will style the rest of the pieces in another post soon^ First up is the Pleated Pastel Midi Skirt, I knew I wanted to use either lilac or orange with this piece and in the end orange won as I had more choice. I love this blouse with the skirt a lot, the colour is pretty much perfect with the splashes of orange in the skirt and I think the styles work well together. I also stuck with orange for the accessories and found pieces that were a good fit for the colour in the skirt, this little bag is perfect I think, and really works with the style of the skirt, the small size is an advantage. I was so pleased to use these shoes (a recent Fever purchase), I think they're great with these orange/lilac pieces so I will definitely be using the combination again! Next is the matching Pastel Blouse. I struggled more with this one, as there is a pair of orange trousers that I wanted to use, and the colour does work nicely with the blouse, but the shape around the waist just wasn't cooperating, and then I struggled to choose shoes to work with both pieces - so I scrapped that idea and opted for white trousers, which I do think work nicely as a second choice. What I do love is this light lilac belt, I've had it in my wardrobe for years and have never styled it, but I think it was the right choice for this look with the colour complementing the blouse well. I stuck on the lighter tones for a bag and I think this clutch looks good with the lighter cuffs, and of course had to include my favourite purple sunglasses^ And finally is the White Shoulder Bag, which is definitely the most versatile piece of the three styled here - I had trouble narrowing down my options! In the end I particularly favoured the bag with these trousers, I really think a pale pink/lilac tone is drawn from the bag with this pairing and I love it. This blouse is super complementary to these trousers and gave a nuetral yet stylish addition to the bag. The gold studding on the bag was perfect for choosing a few gold accessories - I really love this for a simple Summer styling =D

Post Soviet Aesthetics on the Fashion Week

Next up in the "Brand Fever" is Balenciaga.

Balenciaga Fashion House began its history back in 1917, with Cristobal Balenciaga being often called an ascetic and a rebel of high fashion. While Christian Dior drove women into wearing corsets, Cristobal created silhouettes with square shoulders, with an unnaturally high (or low) waistline.
As a result, absolutely remarkable shapes were born, which will forever remain in the women's wardrobe.

“I don’t like to set any limits. If you set a limit you won’t be able to transcend it.”
– Cristóbal Balenciaga

Now, Balenciaga is among the most famous and hotly discussed fashion brands in the world. Such epithets as "outrageous", "rebellious" and even sometimes "tasteless" and "scary" have become firmly entrenched behind it.

In my opinion, under Demna's supervision, Balenciaga got its "second breath". Demna's vision had infiltrated fashion, streetwear and everything in between. As he said in one of the interviews, he draws his inspiration mainly from his grandmother. In his creations you can see a lot of prints and fabrics that were popular on the territory of the former Soviet Union. Demna literally gave a new life to these fabrics and prints.

This look is not an exception, here I combined elements such as silver boots, which are an accent piece of clothing by their own, with streetwear elements, as a result of which a harmonious look in the Balenciaga style was created.

The items used in this look:
Faux Leather Cap - Original Future
West Coast Shades - Original Future
Black Oversized Jacket - Fallen Angel
Frankieiz12 Longsleeve With XL Arms - Stardoll feat.
Cropped Sweatshirt - Vinyl.

A N T I D O T E B U C K E T B A G

This Antidote Bucket Bag came out in February 2016 and it's been on my wish-list for years! I've only actually seen it in one dolls suite, and I've spent too many hours searching the Bazaar for it - I came up lucky a couple of weeks ago and had only searched for a few minutes when it came up and at a great price so I bought it immediately! I'm not sure exactly what drew me to this piece, I love the colour a lot and I also think the style is a classic one plus quite versatile. For these initial stylings with it I stuck to the obvious choice of red and tried on every piece of red clothing and pair of shoes that I had in my wardrobe to work out my options^ I love this first look a lot, I really think this top is a fitting style choice with the bag, there's red in it but not too much and I think the navy works well with the red of the bag too. The white cuff and collar ruffling really made the choice of white for the rest of the clothing an easy one, and the bag pops beautifully against these white trousers. I stuck with white for the shoes, but opted for red glasses. These sparkly ones are a great balance for the bag in the look - I think the red is the perfect amount, it's not too much in the look and the bag really holds its own. With the second look I was very keen to use this shirt, the red isn't quite the right match with the bag but I wanted to try it anyway as I think the styles do look good together. The boots are a good match to the shirt red but not so much the bag, adding this pleated black skirt adds a good barrier between these two accessories, but I think the boots may be a little too different for me to really love this outfit. I do love the skirt and shirt together with the bag though, it's super cute and I think the pleating is a very pretty detail to the look - so some room for improvement here!
I look forward to styling this bag again already and sharing what other ways I come up with to wear it =D

Gucci: what is it?

"Gucci is an Italian fashion label founded in 1921 by Guccio Gucci, making it one of the oldest Italian fashion brands in operation today. Like many historic fashion houses, the brand started out as a luggage manufacturer, producing luxury travel goods for Italy's wealthy upper-classes, as well as equestrian equipment."
-HIGHSNOBIETY

Despite the fact that Gucci initially, and even to this day, position themselves as luxurious and not accessible to everyone brand, it is safe to say that Gucci clothes and accessories have penetrated into the wardrobe of almost everyone, whether it is a genuine clothing item or a replica.

In this outfit, I wanted to show that Gucci can be used not only to create runway looks, but it can be also used in everyday life. Comfortable and stylish pieces will never let you down and jewelry alongside with accessories will become the finishing touches of the sophisticated look.

W I N D O W S O N T H E W O R L D | Styled By You / / Styled By Me

I'll be honest, I'd forgotten about the Windows On The World store a little - but we have a new release there! One huge appeal is that all of the pieces are in SC's, making it an afforable choice, but all of the pieces are pretty current and stylish. I believe they are all inspired from items sold in & Other Stories as I recognise a number of them - I'm quite happy to have these real life items for my doll too. First up is a feature, millaxx styles up the White Coat which I think really stands out as a key piece of this collection. The styling is simple and the coat design really stands out nicely against the accessories added. The oversized shoulder bag is a great balance to the light colour and I think the design goes well in the look, and the colour pairs well with the shoe choice - I love these sandals^ The jewellery added are intricate pieces, the earrings and necklace, along with the sunglasses, add a nice touch to the neckline of the look.
And for my own stylings. First up is the Dye Skirt, I love both the colours and the overall design of this piece, I don't think I can ever have enough midi skirts! I tried to find a perfect blue piece to include in this look, but I struggled - in the end however I'm so pleased with how this necklace fits with the skirt, such a cute pairing^ I'm so glad I've kept (and never worn) this necklace for so many years now, haha! The wave-style pattern on the skirt does have white, so it's also easy to include white pieces in the styling which is exactly what I have done. Super simple yet I think it really stands out nicely. Next up is the Puff Sleeve Crop Top - this has a classic style and I love the neckline on this. The colour is neutral so will work with a range of styles and other colours - using burgundy wasn't my first choice for this piece but I loved the pairing of the top and this little bag, and with the red on the piping I knew I had to include these trousers, I think it works pretty nicely! This neckline really needs some jewellery added, this heart shaped piece has a lovely tone to match the top, I'm really pleased with this pairing. And finally I also styled the White Coat and alike in the feature I've kept it simple. I spent a lot of time deciding which accessories to choose and I think I'm pretty happy with my choices, I really love the style of this bag with the dress, both with bows (a coincidence not intentional) is a super cute pairing. These clear heels are a great neutral choice for the look, they work great with the dress but also don't draw attention away from the main event. I definitely needed some jewellery, I chose this longer necklace to fill the deeper V neckline of the dress but I do think it's a bit dark in colour. Nevertheless I think this is a lovely outfit =D

"I love you, but I've chosen Versace"

-the picture contains retouching-

As I have mentioned earlier, we are going to dive into the "Brand Fever", so let us start with Versace.

"The Versace name was born as an audacious and unapologetic brand, fusing street style with high fashion to create bombastic, avant-garde designs. Versace is well known for mixing mediums such as metal, mesh and leather, often painted in bright, almost jarring colors."
-The Culture Trip

In my opinion, Versace had certain eras which define their creative activity and I would say that this outfit is a tribute to the so called "golden" era of Versace in the 90s, when they were making their clothing lines consisting of leather, extraordinary prints, massive gold jewelry and accessories. The 90s were not only the definite rise of the Versace, but it was the greatest time of the model industry, you can dive in this era of fashion by watching the video below:

The items used in this outfit:

Gianni Medusa Cap - Callie's Picks
Golden Round Earrings - Bonjour Bizou
Chain Coin Necklace - Vinyl
Gold Two Chain - Nelly.com
Leather Tassel Jacket - Limited Edition
Givenchy Turtleneck Black - Museum Mile
Medusa Leather Belt - Callie's Picks
Black Leather Miniskirt - Callie's Picks
Medusa Chain Handbag - Callie's Picks
Versace Tall Boots - Callie's Picks

R O Y A L T Y | Styled Outfits

I quite liked the latest ROYALTY release, very glamorous and quite Voile-like. With a more evening-wear direction with the collection, which are pieces I don't tend to buy, I was left with a small number of clothing along with accessories to choose from - but I think I had a reasonable choice, although these clothing pieces won't be to everyones taste. First up is the Embroidery Top (available for both male and female dolls which is great) - I'm a big fan of burgundy and floral patterns so this seems perfect for me. It is quite a sheer piece, but I do think the pattern is well-covering. I had a lot of fun styling this and came up with quite a few options, this is definitely going to be a great piece for Autumnal stylings. These red cords and bag are a great fit with the colour and I think the styles all work nicely together. My one lack was the perfect pair of burgundy shoes, however these clear sandals make a pretty great alternative and I'm pleased with how they look. I really love this outfit^ Next up are the Velvet Pants, love velvet and adore this emerald colour, but it definitely wasn't as easy to style as I'd hoped. Nevertheless, I love this outfit for the trousers. I opted to choose a few emerald accessories, I think these earrings and the trousers are perfect together, so it was all about building a look around them. Black was the obvious and easiest choice, I liek this sheeny poloneck as something a little different, the texture works well with the trousers. These will be another great piece for Autumn stylings. And lastly are the PVC White Boots, which are definitely one of the most wearable pieces of the collection - these were super easy to style and will work in a number of different outfits. I felt very inclined to wear them with a miniskirt, and opted for this cute glitter-effect one with white included on the piece which helps tie the two together. The white shirt balances the boots well and the frill is a nice detail. I think the sheen on the boots really stands out nicely in this look^ And I really like my earring choice with this one, I think these look great with the mint of the skirt =)

Hello from Brevis

You may know me by my nickname Brevis and I will be one of the guest writer of this blog.

I've been on Stardoll since 2011. One of my great passions, which led me to this platform, was the creation of outfits, to the creation of which I have not lost my zeal to this day.

The things that inspire me most often are some extraordinary clothing items, strong concepts, such as the brand named Schiaparelli. This brand never ceases to amaze me with each of its new releases. Among my favorite brands are Versace, Dior and Hermes. Each and every one of them have a significant feature which makes them special and memorable in their own way.

Therefore, I want to devote my stay here to the "Brand Fever".

Don't miss it!

Draped in jewels

So good to see one of our previous Guest Writers back on Stardoll - Miloshki! And no time has been wasted, because I've seen so many great outfits on this doll already in only a few days, this one was too good not to be shared. This huge-shouldered blue top is one I keep seeing in the Bazaar and I always think, how can it be worn? Well this outfit is the answer! It looks great under this strappy jumpsuit but it's fitted in well with the host of accessories and jewels added to the look, all those gold touches are perfect^ The layered bracelets pop well against the leather gloves and I think that pairing also works beautifully with the bag, fitting well with the leather top-half and all of the intricate design. Such a winning style!

B E A U T Y P A R L O R | Save or Sell

It has been a looooong time since my last Save or Sell post, in fact almost 3 years. I don't remember why I stopped, but for a long time around the start of covid I wasn't SS/Royalty so didn't have the option to do any selling - now I've sold a lot of the items I know I don't want but there's always some that I'm just not sure about, hence the purpose of this series to try styling those pieces to make a firm choice if I'm saving the item, or selling it! This is a first still, as this time around I'm styling jewellery pieces only from my beauty parlor (which often get forgotten about) - let's get in and see what I'm working with:

C H A N E L C H A I N N E C K L A C E
This Chanel Chain Necklace came out in the Winter 2013 Chanel Tribute release but has also been re-released in Callie's Picks - despite that I don't think I've seen anyone wear it? Perhaps I'm wrong, but it's definitely one of the lesser-worn Chanel jewellery pieces. Now when I styled these looks I was under the impression that I also had never worn this piece, but I was wrong, I styled it for the Wear Dem Jewels Challenge back in 2015, so it's been 7 years since I've worn it! Anyway, I really loved styling up these looks with the necklace - it was so much fun and therefore it's definitely a SAVE^ The gold is definitely a brighter tone than I prefer styling, but the addition of the black, white and red beaded details to the piece give it a lot of styling options which I've really gone to town with in my looks. I love the simplicity in the first outfit, it looks sleek and classy with the simple black and white pieces but the red accessories add such a pop. In the second styling I love the necklace with this blouse, they're really great together, and also with these shoes, they're such a bold piece but balance well against the necklace at the top half of the outfit. I'm so glad I styled up this piece!

E N A M E L F L O W E R S N E C K L A C E
Next is the Enamel Flowers Necklace, originally from the Summer 2014 Fendi Tribute store, but I picked this one up in a Callie's Picks release back in 2015 - since then I think I've only worn it once. I've tried a few times to sell this piece but without luck, so maybe that's a sign I should be rethinking my attempts to sell! Whilst I do really like these outfits, I did find the necklace a bit limiting to work with which is why I was right in the first place and am listing this piece as a SELL. I really do like working with the contrast of the black with the lighter pink and peach tones and I do think these pieces all look great with the necklace, but there's not as much love there as with the first piece in this post. I particularly like this second styling here, it looks great with more Fendi pieces added, but beyond that there aren't a ton of options I don't think.

I S A B E L M A R A N T I N S P I R E D K N O T N E C K L A C E
Thirdly is the Isabel Marant Inspired Knot Necklace which was released in 2016 from Epiphany - I styled it at the time of release and remember thinking it was a pretty cool piece and looked easy to wear, then never wore it again! I do still think this is a cool piece with the design, but of the three in this post this was my least favourite to style. It's the one piece that I think would really benefit from being able to layer jackets/clothing on top of to be able to get the best wear from it. With my dolls skin tone, I also found that the shade of gold in the top necklace pieces doesn't really stand out, so that detail can get lost without a high-neck shirt underneath so that is a bit of a limit for me - and overall, it's a SELL. I really do like the first styling for the necklace though, I think the style of it looks great with this blazer and I love the crisp white clothing pieces as they really give such a smart styling overall. And I love the accessories I've chosen, super fun wearing these trainers again and the Chanel bag adds an extra splash of class^ Hopefully this piece will go to someone who can really enjoy it to the fullest and make some great stylings =)

F E V E R | Styled Outfits

Fever is a Summer classic, but this years release is a little far from my preferences for Summer styles. I did pick up a couple of pieces to try because I can't resist some new yellows and oranges in my wardrobe for the season! First up is the Leather Skirt in a nice muted dark yellow with a checkered pattern. It's something quite fresh as there's not many miniskirts in this colour, and I think it looks good with my dolls skin tone too. I did struggle a little finding matching yellow pieces to style with it, but I really love it paired with this little bag, both the colours and styles are complementary to each other and I think the two work well with the white blouse too. I tried so many pairs of shoes with this look but nothing in yellow or orange was working out, so stuck with classic white and I think it looks pretty good. Such a cute Summer look for sure! Next up are the Orange Sandals, which I thought would be my favourite piece to style, but actually were my least favourite. I do love them with this jacket, the colours and pretty spot on together, but for the rest of the look I really had no initial ideas. I opted for white so it would fit well next to the first look, and these light pieces work well for a Summer styling. I think I will get use from these shoes as I do love the low-heel sandal style, but just need some inspiration to hit^ And finally are the Gold Heels Sandals which were my favourite piece to wear. To fit with the other looks I knew I wanted to use white, and I love this top and skirt combination, but then use accessories to match the shoes. With the gold heels it was the perfect opportunity for a delicate gold necklace and there is also some gold in the bag. I really love this bag choice, not only does it have a touch of gold but the tan colour works well with the tan sole of the shoes - they're really such a cute pairing =D

Y O U N G H O L L Y W O O D | Styled Outfits

It doesn't feel too long since our last Young Hollywood release, and here is another already! I didn't go so crazy with purchasing from this collection and just stuck to a few smaller pieces, and was very kindly gifted an item by a friend^ So here are my stylings - unintentionally all very dark! First up are the Vanessa Earrings, I've really been trying to get more earrings into my wardrobe to improve my choice of colours and styles available. These ones are super glamorous and elegant, I really love the detailed hanging design to them, plus I don't have a lot in silver. These earrings deserved an elegant look to match, and I think I've not done too badly. I love including this top, I've worn it quite rarely, but it's a fabulous piece, I think the long straps making the body of the top lower work well with the dangling of the earrings. The trousers are fitting without drawing attention away, and I mixed the rest of the accessories with a simple shoe and a sparkling clutch - a pretty nice combination =) Next up are the Black Pumps which aren't just plain black, they also have a sparkle to them which definitely makes them stand out. I knew I wanted to include a little silver somewhere in the outfit to balance out the shoes, and I think this top does that very nicely with the silver leopard print. I kept with a simple skirt, opting for a shorter length to make sure the ankles were clear letting the shoes be seen. Also stuck with simple accessories, but I think both the bag and glasses are fitting touches to the outfit, think I am just missing some simple small silver earrings though, those would be a perfect last addition^ And the final piece, the Kendall Top, which has surprised me by being my favourite! This stands out because it's relatively simple yet has a lot of detail, I loved the meshed lining on top of the base of the piece, I think this little detail with the edges really stands out when the piece is worn on the doll. And I really like the small sparkly embellishments too. I didn't have any particular idea going into the styling of this piece, but I love the outcome. These trousers really help the embellishments pop and I think the leather style looks super cool with the top. Again simple on the accessory front so that the clothing combination is the focus, but I simple adore these shoes with the look, they're the perfect simple yet stunning pairing with the trousers. So so much love for this look =D

N E L L Y | Styled Outfits

Nelly used to be a great store for my style and I used to buy a lot of pieces from there, these days it's perhaps a bit more geared towards the younger trends. This early Summer release was a little disappointing for me, with not a lot of pieces I liked the look of or liked on my doll (sorry, chunky sandals just aren't my thing!) - but I did pick up one piece that I thought looked great, the Pink Blazer which is an over shoulder piece, and I just love those! The colour of this one really is quite a specific magenta, there's definitely not a lot to choose from in terms of other clothing or accessory items to match perfectly - luckily I have a couple. These Subcouture trousers were a great find in my wardrobe, the colour is spot on. I decided to stick with a pink for the shoes and I think this pair fits colour-wise. I kept the rest of the look light to fit the Spring/Summer season, this little top is super cute and works well with a one-shoulder blazer so the strap design can also be shown off. I really love this outfit a lot! And then I tried some of my magenta accessories - the earrings are a great colour-fit, the bag is a little off, but I still think it's not a bad choice. I kept the clothing white, this top and skirt combination is super light, elegant and Summery, perfect to let the blazer really pop in the look^ I really love the addition of the earrings in this outfit, I think they make a great finishing touch.

V I N Y L | Styled Outfits

Our recent VINYL release was a bit of a mixed bag, the styles seem a little all over the place to me, with nothing specifically feeling very 'VINYL' to me. I did however pick up a couple of individual pieces that stood out and here are my stylings with them! First up the Pastel Cropped Jacket - love the colour of this and the loose shape, along with the short sleeves as they're something quite different about this piece, but I was hesitant at first about the design of the piece being a cropped blazer. It just feels like it's missing a few details. I really enjoyed styling it though and I think I will be able to make it work well in at least several other outfits too. This really feels like a Spring piece so I wanted to keep the colours similar and light, I think the style looks great with this pleated midi skirt, and the yellow compliments the green nicely. I thought white would make a good choice for accessories as I don't really have anything in this light green colour. I do love this pastel yellow bag with the look though, the colour and style is just perfect^ Next up is the Green Olive Jacket which seems a bit more of an early Spring or Autumn piece. First thoughts are that I do like the overall style on the doll better than the pastel option, but after styling they're pretty equal on that front. For a more Spring/Autumn piece I like the cropped length and I think the high neck with the collar looks very nice. I also like the darker trim, it stands out nicely. I decided to keep the look light, I love the style of these trousers with the jacket, the cropped length works very well with the trouser style. I have quite a few dark green accessories to choose from, I really liked picking out these pieces, they work well together and with the outfit as a whole - I'm really very pleased with this look =D

L E B A Z A A R | Styled Outfits

A couple of years ago I made some purchases from the Bazaar towards my 'LE wishlist' and loved styling those up - recently I've picked up quite a few more LE pieces from the Bazaar and am excited to style those new pieces up in this post today! These weren't necessarily all on my radar as ones I specifically wanted to buy, but I found some great deals that I couldn't say no to =)
Here are the clothing pieces styled, first up the Cream Blaze (LE 43, Feb. 2020) which is a menswear piece but I think still can look pretty good on the female doll. I love a white blazer, I'm always reaching for them to include in my stylings. I found this very easy to style and picked out quite a few items that looked good with it - in the end I choose a classic neutral styling, I think this piece looks great with my favourite trousers! I kept everything else about the look super neutral as well and I think it works nicely, but a pop of colour will also shine with this piece, I will totally do that next time and I think many colours will work well for that. Next up is the Draped Blouse (LE 4, Sept. 2009) which I bought completely on a whim^ I knew this was from one of the earliest LE collections (I was around at the time) so I couldn't resist picking it up for the great price of 140SD but really had no ideas on how to style it. I'm so pleasantly surprised by this piece, I really quite like the look! I used to love grey, but have gone off it in the past few years, but this top was the perfect opportunity to try it again, it's a great match with these trousers and the pink tones in the design really stand out. I spent a long time deciding on accessories and I'm happy with the final choices, I'm especially loving these shoes with the look, they're quite a perfect finishing touch =) And the final clothing piece is the Criss Cross Sil Blouse (LE 32, June 2017) which has been on my imaginary wishlist for some time and I was happy to find this in the Bazaar at a good price (120SD). I was overwhelmed by choice when styling this, in the end I chose this snake-print midi skirt and I think it's great for a first look with this top. The colours on the skirt are pretty neutral and complement the top nicely without pulling too much attention away. Again stuck with neutral accessories, all of which I think work well to highlight the clothing. I really love this one!
Next are accessories - the first here is the LE Macrame Purse (LE 26, Nov. 2016), which I bought completely on a whim because it was listed for 11SD's - no, that's not a typo, eleven SD's. I got very lucky with that one! I'm so glad I bought it though, because I think this might be my favourite styling of this post^ The bag has a white base but brings in tan and black/navy details, so I think there's a reasonable amount of versatility. I knew I wanted to work with tan in the clothing, so had a couple of choices, but I think these trousers are just the perfect option. I kept the shirt light which balances well with the bag, but added darker accessories that I think highlight those dark details on the bag very nicely. So so pleased with this one - this bag is completely a piece I hadn't thought about before, but is such a nice surprise! Next are the Chrystal Hoop Earrings (LE 45, June 2021) which are a more recent release. I bought these to help give me another earring option, and I don't have many in silver. I found these easy to style up with more silver accessories, but I do think they get a little lost in the blonde hairstyle I currently have, something darker might suit them more. I kept the clothing very simple, the white base keeps it light for the season while the overcoat really works nicely with those silver tones. I really like this look and I'm quite glad I picked up these earrings! And finally are the Spike Earrings (LE 41, Sept. 2019) which I wasn't sure if they would be my thing, but after trying them on, I'm happy I bought them. In contrast to the previous pair, these ones really pop against the blonde hairstyle but may blend in more with a brunette or black hair choice. I kept the look pretty simple and focused on the accessory choices - I really love the outcome! This blazer is such a sleek piece and I think the little silver details are perfect with the detailing on the earrings. I managed to find a nice matching necklace to fill the neckline which I think works perfectly. And finished off the look with this fabulous bag, the pearl strap and the hanging chain are pretty details that fit well with the other details in the styling =)
