Round and Round in Circles

 If you visited my page at all through my hiatus, you'll have a come across this look. 

 

 While it feels a bit cheeky to post this, it's one of my favourite looks in a while! So nice I left it on for three months straight. And all achieved with just a bit of layering.

 

The sleeves of this basic dress are doing the heavy lifting mostly. They're lovely on their own, but adorned with these YSL cuffs they're quite special.

 

The gold tones pick up the hardware on these navy boots that I've never successfully managed to use before. I've always felt they're a bit steampunk pirate cosplay, but here I think they look quite classy!

All Work and No Play

Hello all - long time no see! It's been a torrid few months but here I am, 100 hours of overtime and a melted laptop later!

I'm kicking back into gear with a fairly wintery look considering the time of year - it's still pretty cold where I am in the UK (Spring where are you???)

This jumper was one of the last things I bought before disappearing and I really enjoy the colour palette. It's not a set that I'd put together myself - that lilac-y tone especially!

 

Also, these leather joggers that we all got for free once upon a time, with these boots? Instant fav. 

 

I feel I do have to explain myself with the turtlneck and gold chain, but I've decided that I just like it, no matter how goofy it is. I think the drape-y Limited Edition bag pairs with the chain nicely, so not only am 

I sporting the look unironically, but I'm lampshading it too.

The recent TRAILS release didn't catch my eye at first, but it's a pretty big collection and so amongst all the pieces I thought there were some nice options there. You guys enjoyed the release too and I've seen many people styling up mainly one piece, the Brown Dress! I spotted harpie styling it in such a glamorous way, it almost makes me want to buy the dress myself. This dress has a high-low style hem, but the layering in this outfit works perfectly and it seems like a maxi dress, which I definitely prefer, and the colours of the two pieces work so nicely together. The accessories are beautiful and the gold pieces complement the rust colour of the dress nicely - love all the choices^ 

Then a second feature, millaxx opted for the Black Knitwear, which while it isn't my style at all, I think it looks fantastic in this styling =) While the piece is more casually designed, this look is full of elegance, it makes it seem like the knitwear is a completely different piece. I love the contrast between the white of the skirt with the chunky dark knitwear, but the print pulls both pieces together well. The accessories are all fabulous, from the necklace to the bag and shoes - absolutely perfect choices here!

And then for my own looks - I'm still contemplating that Black Knitwear, but so far have just bought the Straw Skirt which I think looks like such a great Summer beachwear piece, and the orange hue to the colour really got my attention. When it came to styling, the skirt was a little more difficult that I thought, but actually after trying on a lot of pieces, I do think I'm pleased with how the outfits turned out and I look forward to styling it again. First up I simply love this orange polo with the skirt, what a great pairing! And of course I had to make use of the matching orange accessories that the top came with, and I'm so pleased with the outcome, a perfect Spring-Summer transition look^ With the second look I knew I wanted to use white, and this open neckline shirt is a great one for a Summer styling. Accessories were also easy as I have plenty of options in white, I'm particularly liking these sandals with the skirt, I love the heel design and square toe.

Our Spring Pretty 'N Love release was a bit of a mixed a bag, but there was a clear stand-out piece from the release - the Puffy Arms Shirt! I was super excited about this shirt as soon as I saw it and knew I had to have it to add to my extensive collection of white shirts, haha^ Anyway, first up a feature from the fabulous harpie who sells this shirt completely - I love this look so much =) The shirt looks amazing with a bustier layered ontop of it and I love the jewellery added with the bustier too, theres so much detail in these pieces. The brown tone to the bustier is perfect with this polka dot skirt and the white dots really pop. The accessories are great, these shoes are one of my favourite pairs and I adore the use of this bag with the snakeskin detail on the strap, the mixed prints look great!

And for my stylings with the piece. It was very easy to style and went with pretty much everything I tried on, making it difficult to make choices! First up I chose these green trousers which I think make for a great Spring styling, the waist of them fit well with the shirt hem and I love the voluminous style of both the sleeves of the shirt and the trousers. I kept the accessories simple and white pieces popped beautifully off the green, but these green earrings were a cute touch to complete the look^ And then I wanted to try out a skirt with the shirt and am so so pleased with my choice - I don't wanna take off this outfit! I really liked the floating loose vibes of this sheer skirt, the white and black colouring really make for interesting detail added to the outfit. This is also my first time wearing the skirt, so now I'm so glad that I bought it. I tried out a lot of accessories, but simplicity was the way to go with this one and I love it =D

P E A R L S | Styled Outfits

We had a PEARLS release earlier this year and the vibe of the release is quite different to what I traditionally think of for the store, but I did pick up a couple of pieces to try out. First is the Zebra Sweater which I think is such a cute piece, this is something I'd wear IRL too^ This was super easy to style and I had plenty of options for it, but I really loved it with these red trousers for a bold look. I kept the accessories neutral in beige which I think balances nicely with the red, I love this handbag and these earrings with the styling a lot =) And then I also got the Snake Pants which were harder to style that I had anticipated. I really love these satin boots with the trousers but then found it difficult to come up with something cool for the tophalf so ended up with something super simple - it works, but I think these trousers have a lot more potential. I do really like them with these sunglasses though! I would love to see someone else trying these out to see what options there are for them =D
