V O I L E | Styled Outfits

Our Autumnal release in the VOILE store is such a pretty and mixed one - there are vibrant colours and bold textures mixed in with classic neutral tones and sheeny fabrics, I really like this collection a lot =) I've left it a bit late for a full review, but I still wanted to style up some of the pieces I picked up. I was definitely a bit more focussed on the accessories with this release, but those blue outfits really did catch my eye!
So first up is the Fading Purse which I knew I had to have as soon as I'd seen it, I love these clashing colours so much! And this one was such a fun piece to style, I felt like I had a number of options and it would have looked great with everything, which is a good sign for me for a bag. I ended up choosing the pink to highlight with this midi skirt, it's really the perfect shade to match the bag. To make sure the bag popped in the outfit I opted for white with the top and coat, and I really think it worked out perfectly. I couldn't resist keeping the clash going with these red/orange heels, and then found the perfect earrings to complete the styling =) Next is the Pink Bag (which also comes in the opposite colour-scheme in the Yellow Bag), which actually I found a little trickier to style than I had imagined. But I do love it so much with these pink trousers, the colours are a perfect match. I used both the yellow and pink in the accessories and I think that balances well, and the white shirt gives a good neutral ground for that to happen on - plus with the white shirt I think that the look pairs well with the first one. And the final piece, the Beaded Pants and I have so much love for this outfit^ These trousers are so fun and I would recommend them to anyone. This silk jacket just worked out perfectly with the colour of the trousers, and I felt like the white top and accessories really completed the look on its own and in this set. These little kitten heels with a slight sheen are just amazing with the trouser length and style, I'm so so happy with this one and I'll repeat this look for sure =D

V E L V E T O R C H I D | Styled Outfits

The Autumnal drop in Velvet Orchid brought some very interesting pieces and I picked up a couple to try out - I'm really pleased with both of them! First up the Dyed Pants which are a lovely mix of blues, greens and beiges which looks great and is something different added to the plaza. I really like the fit of these, they're a loose slim style on the leg and I like the longer length too. I opted for darker tones with these to let the green really pop and I'm loving the colour mix with this dark teal coat. For accessories I opted for light greens and I think these work out perfectly with both the trouser colours but also the dark of the top and coat, I'm super pleased with this one =) And then I also got the Crossbody Bag which is in a Gucci-esque style but definitely stands out by having a white base, black print then the classic red and green strap. I've really made use of all of the colours of the bag in my outfit. I kept the clothes simple, the smart white shirt really lets the strap pop and the trousers are fitting with the overall smart style of the piece. Then I opted for fun red boots which I can see I will wear more this Christmas season, and lastly finished the styling with some green earrings - all that's missing is the perfect pair of green sunglasses!

P E A R L S | Release Review

What a fantastic release this late Summer drop in Pearls was! I just felt all the good vibes from this one and was so impressed by the quality of the design and the choice of items included, there's so much to choose from in terms of clothing and accessories and this really keeps the brand at the forefront of my mind when I think of the Plaza^
This release has the usual 2 floors with a total of 10 looks to choose from - the first floor is much more Autumnal while the second is all about those Summer vibes! I'm a huge fan of the Autumnal colours and styles so I'll just mention a few top picks from the Summer part. The Floral Maxi Skirt is a lovely piece, the mint green base is quite unique and I love the bold orange floral contrast along with the black belting, I think this will be super fun to style. The Maxi Dress is also super pretty with the orange and green colour mix, I also love the twisted gathering of the fabric at the waist and hips. The shoes are the same on both floors, the pair that stands out to me are the Ecru Shoes which are a sweet simple low heel. Keeping on the accessory theme I will just mention a stand-out bag, the Hand Purse looks great - super unique, a classic style and size but fantastic colours and print. This is one I'm really excited to style. And now the Autumnal pieces. The brown-orange tone really pops in the store and there are 4 pieces to choose from: the Caramel Pants, Caramel Dress, Suede Pants and Shreded Asymetric Midi Skirt. I particularly like the dress and skirt with their pleating design, they really look great! And of course the white pieces really contrast beautifully with the brown tones. I added the White Sheer Top to my cart immediately, the feathered design is stunning and it's a piece I can see myself wearing in a number of combinations. The White Lace Shirt and Fringed Maxi Skirt are a sweet pairing, I love double-toned looks and these pieces look good together and will also be great separately. The final piece to mention is the Silk Blouse, which stands out on this floor by being the only navy piece, and I'm a big navy fan^ I also love a blouson sleeve and this one looks great against the slim fit of the waistline and cuffs of the piece.
Now for my stylings, first up is the Caramel Dress which is just as dreamy as I had hoped, I really loved styling this, it was easy to accessorise and I love how it looks on my doll. I kept the accessories similar in tone and went with browns and gold. I especially love this bag with the dress, the paired lining details are fab together^ Next is the White Sheer Top in what is definitely a Summer styling - I think this piece will layer well, I just didn't have the perfect piece for what I was imagining. I opted to stick with the orange-brown tones with these trousers and kept to white accessories to pair with the top. The colour contrast works well and I think those feathered details on the top really do stand out. And finally the Silk Blouse which worked even better than I had imagined, I love this look so much! The top has some slight silver trimming so I went all out with that and added silver trousers and jewellery against the dark shoes and bag, these tones are just perfect together^ This is such a fun glam party-season styling, and I'm ready to outfit-repeat already =D

I N S P I R E D B Y D I E S E L | Tribute Stylings

And finally onto the last Summer Tribute - Diesel! This is the first time the brand has featured in the Tribute season, however it was included in a nelly.com release way back in 2012! This isn't a brand I am particularly familiar with and for me the style of the pieces aren't so much my thing, but if this is something you like then there is plenty to choose from - these pieces are still available in the catalogue but the store is no longer viewable. I did pick up a couple of pieces to style, but don't feel like this release warrants a full review, so a styling post it is^
First up is Mery.- who wears the Ribbed Maxi Skirt and really convinces me that maybe I need this piece too^ I like the muted tie-dye effect to it, and the dark colours make it versatile and also an Autumn/Winter piece. The other colours added to the look come perfectly from the colours in the skirt, I love the added brown sleeves and the highlighted tights too. Accessories are fab, and I love all the silver jewellery pieces too =)
Next up is ninasstar who styles up the Blue Leather Boots in a very cool way, they work great with the colourful headscarf and bag! The blue is versatile and looks great with the darker blue blazer and the layered light pieces underneath, I really like the mix of the mesh skirt and the mesh tights. The headscarf adds a light touch at the top of the look and balances well with the boots. Also loving the bag, it's such a fun print design and I think it's a perfect touch for the look^
And last but not least is darlinglovato who has opted for the Black Leather Play Handbag in this fabulous neutral styling, I love it =) The black leather of the bag really pops with the leather boots and vest against the white and grey of the clothing. I love the fabric contrasts with the soft clothing against the leather accessories, it's perfect for Autumn/Winter. I'm also loving the jewellery combination here, the pendant and choker look great together!
And finally for my own stylings! First up are the Pink Relaxed Pants which I thought were a fun casual Spring/Summer piece. These were a little tricker to style than I had anticipated as this blend of tones isn't something I have many matching pieces for, but I'm pleased with the final outcome even though it's not quite as casual as I had imagined for the piece. I really love this glitter bag with the trousers, the colours are fun together and so I kept the rest of the look simple and light which works well to highlight the colourful pieces. Next up is the Midi Skirt With Pockets which I just thought was a fun colour combination. I really liked the challenge of finding pieces that worked with it and I love the final styling! I mixed up both pinks and muted greens and think the combination just works so nicely together - I really had no idea what the outcome would be when I started styling this but I'm so pleased. And finally the Black Leather Play Handbag which is for sure the most versatile piece. I knew I wanted to wear this with something else leather and really was so happy when I tried it with these boots. I kept the look simple so the black would stand out and I'm loving the neutral tones here. I just feel this look is so 'me' and I'm pleased I picked up this bag from the release^

I N S P I R E D B Y D I O R | Tribute Review

(Sincere apologies for the lengthy delay in posting this - life got in the way! But you can still buy these pieces in the Plaza)
The next Tribute is up, and it seriously made me so excited - it's DIOR! I am a huge Dior fan, and a Tribute release is something that I've been really wanting to see. We haven't had too many Dior releases, and the last one was in Winter 2017/2018, so it's been quite some time - let's get into this new drop:
For me, this is it, this is the epitome of what I want Tribute season to be about - it's just all dreamy and great! Now I get it that this store really just is my style and it won't be for everyone, but this release just has a complete wow-factor for me. If this was the only store of this Tribute season, I would be completely fine with that XD Anyway - this release has 3 floors packed with beautiful pieces and a total of 15 looks to choose from. As usual, let's start with the accessories, which is a huge collection. With shoes, there are 9 pairs to choose from. The DWAY Heeled Sandals come in 4 colours and they're all beautiful options in pastel tones - I won't lie, I bought them all, but I think it will be the Golden pair that I wear the most. I also really love the classic Black J'Adior Slingback Pumps, these are in such a recognisable Dior style and look amazing. These are definitely a versatile shoe. With the bags, there are 14 to choose from - what a number! And I have to say, I think every piece is a great one and they all bring classic Dior. I'm a huge fan of the Saddle Bag, so of course these styles caught my attention first. The Saddle Bag With Strap comes in five beautiful bright colours, while there's no black, I do think there's something for everyone with these. Did I go over the top and buy them all? Yes, but for me this style and size of bag is one that I know I will get wear of. For more a classic piece, for sure all eyes are on the Golden option which is a pretty tan colour, I am quite loving the Cloud Blue and Cedar Green options for the Autumn season and the Placid Blue and Blush for the Spring/Summer. I'm really excited to see what everyone does with these. Within the same 'saddle' category are also the Gray Diamond Saddle Bag and Navy Blue CD Diamond Saddle Bag which are shoulder bag options, which for me are less classic styles, but I do love a navy so I think this piece could work in a multitude of ways. There are also some non-saddle pieces available and I think these really cover a good range of styles that are also available from Dior. Most of these come in black, so super versatile and classic options. I'm such a fan of both the C'est Dior Bag and the Black Dior Bobby East West Bag, such beautiful designs and easy to wear styles. And if you missed out on the Lady Dior pieces from previous releases, then there is the Black Dior Lady 95.22 Bag which is a fun take on the original design, the little size is super cute. And the last piece I want to mention is the Medium Lady Dior Bag, which is such a pretty and light Spring/Summer piece, the pink tones are beautiful and the design combines the basket style with elegant printing in the inner pouch, just a stunning piece! And of course there are also a large number of other accessory pieces to choose from. I am delighted at the 5 new pairs of sunglasses here - the Shades all come in the same design but different colours, the Black is a classic, but I'm a super fan of the Blue as well^ The jewellery pieces are also stunning, I adore the Dior Tribales Earrings, these have fabulous detail and are worth a close look, they will work in so many outfits. And very lastly to mention a couple of belts, there is the Ornamented Belt with a thick double-buckle design and a very sweet dotted detail at the edges, and also the Belt With Fan which is also in black and is a thick in width, but has many fab details, I particularly like the little pouch with a 'D' on the edge.
And now onto the clothing, again, so much to choose from! The easiest way is to go through these by categories, so starting up - dresses and skirts. There are 7 dresses to choose from and 5 skirts, which gives a great choice. With the dresses these are mostly midi or maxi in length and in simple colours but with detailed designs. The Sparkly Dress and Leather Cutout Dress both stand out to me, they're midi in length and look great on the doll. The Sparkly Dress is a more fitted design with a partially sheer bustier top and a fitted silk skirt, really love this for the party season and I can see it being a good layering piece. The Leather Cutout Dress has such a rich burgundy colour and I really like the intricate cutout design, it really stands out in the store. For more neutral pieces then the Black Tulle Dress and Ivory Gown make good options in maxi lengths. The Black Tulle Dress is a little more daring, being completely sheer, but it does have a lovely ruffled neckline design, while the Ivory Gown is more simple but with a plunging neckline. With the skirts there are a mix of maxi and mini lengths, I definitely prefer the longer styles here with the White Pleated Maxi Skirt and Leather Cutout Skirt catching my eye - these are contrasting in colour and fabrics but are both fantastic styles which fit well with the vibes of the dresses on offer too. There are quite a range of tops on offer in different styles and colours. I really loved the look of the Sparkly Top, this caught my eye first and is such a fun piece. I like that the style is more casual but the sparkles make it fun, this will be a great layering piece for the Winter. The Lace Longsleeve Top is also super pretty, it's another sheer piece but the floral details are plentiful and super pretty. I also picked up the Silk Black Body because it's a super simple wardrobe essential and will be great for layering with all the sheer pieces on offer. And lastly on to the outerwear, of which there are only a couple of options. I think the Corset Coat which is in a trench coat style looks very interesting, it's certainly unique in design. I like the colour and it looks flattering on the doll. This will also be a great Autumn and Spring piece. Then my last-minute purchase was the Ecru Oversized Shawl which is a very minimal piece, but I feel like it's current in design and could make for some interesting styles so I wanted to give it a go!

F E A T U R E S
First up in the features is MissDark1990 wearing the D-Renaissance Collar Necklace, Black Leather Vest and Black Dior Bobby East West Bag in this very Dior-esque look, I love it^ I think the top with those huge puffed sleeves really make the look and the vest is great ontop of it. The silhouette of the outfit is fab overall. I love the little shimmery and gold touches throughout the look which is perfect for the bag =D
Next is fraternite who wears both the Ivory Gown and One Side Chest Piece which just look like they were made for each other! It's a simple styling, yet is so stylish and effective, the epitome of 'less is more'. This contrast of colours is great and the black added accessories are just the right balance. Also adore the floral belt design, that's really a fabulous and creative addition to the outfit and again adds a perfect balance to the colour^
Now for a styling by style-queen harpie who has picked the Sparkly Top and gone all-out with the sparkles, it's fantastic! These shining pieces all work together perfectly, I almost thought the vest on top of the shirt was part of the collection I'd just missed haha, the two are amazing together and I think the loose silver culottes are a great partner for the tops. Love the silver accessories too and the orange bag is a stand-out for sure!
And last but not least, Bianquette wearing the Sparkly Dress, C'est Dior Bag and Ornamented Belt ready for a glamorous time! The belt is the perfect addition to the dress, separating the bodice and skirt making them look separate. The bag is also perfect for this style of posed jacket. I love the accessories added to the pieces, these shoes in particular - so spot on for the styling. And the super elegant jewellery pieces up top, just amazing pairings =)

S T Y L I N G S
For me this was a tricky task because I bought so much of the release - give me a few weeks and I'm sure I'll have styled up the rest! First up is the combination of the White Pleated Maxi Skirt, Navy Blue CD Diamond Saddle Bag and Blue Shades which are all versatile pieces and could work well in a number of combinations of pieces from the release. I kept the look very simple, I love the slightly darker white of the skirt with the crisp bright white of this shirt (also Dior from a previous release). I wasn't sure how on board I was with shoulder bags like this, but I'm really loving how this one looks and in this dressed up outfit, so I will be trying the style again for sure. Next are the Black Shades, Gray To Blue Shades and Leather Cutout Dress - we all know I love to layer my sunglasses and these pairs made for a great super dark lens look! They really could go with any look, but I loved trying them out with this dress, a cutout style isn't always for me, but the colour of this leather piece really drew me in and I wanted to try it out! I'm very happy with the outcome and I love this dress for a Winter styling. And the final look here includes the Black Tulle Dress, Black Dior Bobby East West Bag and Golden Heeled Sandals and I'm so over the moon with this one, I love it so much =) As someone who doesn't necessarily wear a lot of sheer, a full tulle dress can be a challenge but I've really embraced that challenge because the dress is beautiful, it was all about the layering here and this detailed evening jacket was perfect for that. From that it was all down to accessories, and the amount in the store made it easy to find something simple yet equally stylish to the clothing collection^
