B I Z O U | Styled Outfits

Always love a BIZOU release in the Plaza, but this recent one didn't really hit the spot for my style preferences - love the colour scheme going on but the pieces generally just weren't 'it' sadly. However I did pick up a couple of pairs of earrings to add to my collection - both the Ecru and Green Pearl Earrings (9SD's) which look like quite classic and easy-to-style pieces.
I think these earrings look great on the doll, they're not too large to overwhelm but equally they're visible enough that they can be seen - I think the green stands out more with this lighter hair colour I'm wearing, the ecru still looks good, but I think will be awesome with darker hair colours. I also paired a makeup look for these earrings, choosing brown and green tones that work well with both pairs, and I think it looks great, it's a little subtle but looks quite natural, plus it looks good with both outfits^ First up styling the Ecru Pearl Earrings, opting for pale tones to match the earring colour and I totally love this outfit. The blazer is a perfect colour match so I think that helps to highlight the earrings against the more muted tones of the rest of the outfit. The brown fits in well, and I think this shade is a great 'current' one for Summer stylings. With the Green Pearl Earrings it was a must to include green in the look, and this blouse was the perfect choice, the greens match almost perfectly, and I think the styles are a good fit together. These light trousers make it a Summer look and I love them with these green sandals, such a cool pair of shoes! Couldn't resist also including this bag after styling it recently, I think it's quickly becoming one of my current favourites =)

S U B C O U T U R E | Styled By You / / Styled By Me

Quite a few weeks ago now we got a brand new drop of Subcouture in the Plaza - for those unfamiliar, this is a release limited on time not number of items, so we get a whole weekend to shop the drop which I love so you can have a good think about which pieces you want to get or not, it's quite perfect^ Normally I adore these releases and pick up quite a lot of pieces, but this time round the trends just aren't for me on the whole - I did pick up a couple of bits and pieces though, and you guys had a few firm favourites too which I just had to share!
First up all those features! These first two stylings both make use of the Belted Leather Trousers, and actually it was seeing these looks which convinced me to also buy them. This styling is from Brevis who looks super cool and ready for the Autumn in this look. I really like the use of the corset belt addition here, it makes a good divide between the leather and design of the Trousers and the print and cool design of this top, I think it makes for a fun pairing^ The leather bag looks great against the trousers and I love these neutral yet detailed heels to balance with the colour of the top, I think it looks great overall =)
Also in the Belted Leather Trousers, but also starting off a whole host of stylings with the Westwood Corset (this is by far the favourite item of the release!), is Mery.- who looks awesome in the pairing, they're great pieces together and despite them being paired together in the store, I think this styling makes the pairing look completely different and much more stylish^ I love the burgundy belting at the middle, it's a great divide and the colour is perfect with those in the Corset. The white shirt beneath adds all the cool vibes, I think it's a perfect addition. The accessories are simple yet so fitting, love the dinky bag and the chunky silver chains along with the beauty look - really perfection!
Next up with the Westwood Corset is MissDark1990 who combines a flirty feminine white with a more grounded vibe, it's so great! The floaty frilled sleeves are a great fit with the Corset, the colours and styles are perfectly complementary. The skirt design is also great, with the waistline of the Corset fitting the design of the lace trim perfectly^ Just perfection that would work with so many styles of accessories, these combat boots are a fun touch! And work well with the choker design and also surprisingly the pearl earrings - so creative, I love it =D
Also in white with the Westwood Corset but bringing different vibes to the table is DIORian who also looks great with these pieces paired with the Corset =) The split-leg design of the skirt and the puffed belting look great with the waist-line of the piece and the jacket makes a very nice 'framing' so the Corset really stands out in the look, even with the draped necklaces layered on top. Love all of the white accessories in the styling, the pointed heels and the oversized floral earring especially^
And the final feature, and also with the Westwood Corset is anaritamiranda, choosing matching nude tones from the Corset for the styling, and I love it so much, it's like the dress was made to be worn with this piece^ The colours are perfect and the designs are great together. The black jacket really works quite well here and I don't think the dark is too overwhelming for the nude colour. Love the belting added too along with some classic accessories which make a perfect finishing touch =)
Now for my own stylings - I will reassure you now that I didn't get the Westwood Corset too, so there are no more stylings with it, haha! First up the Pleated Cropped Trousers which I actually haven't seen anyone else style yet, I guess these weren't a popular choice, but I really quite liked them for their golden colouring and the intricate pleats. I styled up super simply, I love this loose white shirt for smart Summer vibes with the trousers. And I'm so happy about my accessorising with this look, these gold mules are beautiful with the Trousers and I have a perfectly colour-matched bag which I was super impressed about! Then we have the Canvas Tote, which I've also not seen anyone wear yet, I thought it was a really cute bag for the Autumn actually with the striped colour trim in red. I found this super easy to style, but perhaps because I knew I wanted to pair with burgundy and I have a few favourite burgundy go-to pieces^ For the Summer I opted for mostly beige tones with a highlight of burgundy in the vest and boots, and I love it! I think it just works so nicely for the bag and it really stands out nicely in the look. I'm totally excited to wear this some more and to see some of you guys try it out =) And lastly I picked up the Subcouture Tote which is a great Summer bag with the leather and raffia combination - I did struggle a bit with this one, the leather is a bit of a darker brown than a tan, and the raffia is a bit darker than the usual style, so I found it hard getting pieces to work well with both colours. In the end I think I did an ok job, but it could be better - naturally I wanted to go with an all-white or all-beige styling, but I did try something slightly different. I do love this blouse with the bag though, I think they're really fun styles together. And also love the boot colour with the bag, I do think that works nicely - just have to work on the rest of the styling!

L I M I T E D E D I T I O N | Release Review

I can't believe it's been a year since I posted about an LE collection, so crazy! Finally we have a brand new drop that gives me some hope for this brand. We got a little spoiler than a new collection would be coming on Thursday and finally on Friday afternoon we got it^ Let's dive on in and see what it's all about with this super-fast selling release =D
This two floor release is a little smaller than a typical LE release, with 6 female and 2 male looks (it's good to see more and a mix of pieces for the guys too though!) - I'm not sure I could say there's been a set theme, I find my eyes are drawn all over the place when I look at the store. Generally I will say that it's not so much my style this time around, but that's ok and there are still a couple of pieces I like the look of! I did my purchasing on the app, so I didn't see the pieces on a mannequin or doll, so it made deciding how things actually looked a bit difficult! Starting with the accessories, I think these are real winners^ The Gucci bags drew me in completely, I just can't resist that classic design. There is the Purple Croc Bag (55SD's) which is what I saw first and something told me I had to have it, the colour is beautiful and the croc pattern looks great in it. I also love the brown bamboo handle design with the purple colour, they look great together. And then also the Bamboo Handle Bag (45SD's), which I quite liked at first but wasn't completely sure - luckily this one was still available when I got to a computer to check it out in store. It was the mix of colours I wasn't quite sure about, but when I saw the smaller size of the piece, and that the colours weren't overwhelming in a look, I decided to make the purchase^ I think these are both super cute pieces and will be great in Autumnal stylings for sure =) I thought there was a really nice mix of shoe designs and styles available, which I love to see. I just picked up one pair, the Chrystal Brooch Shoes (65SD's) which I thought looked like such an elegant style with their pointed toe and the elaborate brooch design, also that colour is stunning and so versatile. I have no regrets about these at all! At first in the app I didn't like the look of the Chrystal Heel Sandals (55SD's), but they look so much better in the store, so I'm a little sad I can't enjoy these too - the colours are great for Spring/Summer and they're not too bold either. The heel design is also quite subtle but I think will add something fun to a styling, and I'm also loving the mule-type style to them. For something a little more elegant and classic there are the Rose Sandals (55SD's) which are a great black strappy option, but maybe a little expensive for what they are. I think the most popular pair however would be the GC Bootpants (75SD's), I love the printing and colour to these, but a 'bootpant' isn't my thing, so luckily I could be decisive about not buying these. I've not seen too many people styling these up yet, so would love to see more of what people are doing with them! And there was some jewellery in this release too, the Chain Link Earrings (45SD's) which are a chunky silver pair of two hoops linked, and the Chrystal Hoop Earrings (45SD's) which are a very thick silver hoop - these sold pretty quickly too, I'm not so much into silver jewellery, but these went down a treat with everyone else!
Clothing-wise I didn't actually get anything from this store - had I been looking at the store and not the app I would have for sure bought the Roman Style Dress (110SD's) which looks amazing on the doll, I love the colour and the draping, it's just such a beautiful piece, and also the Chrystal Pants (75SD's) which looked full length and very wide on the app, when in reality they are cropped and not too wide, so I'm quite disappointed about that, they are just a fantastic piece, I love all the shimmer, the colour and the fit on the doll - at least I have a couple of fun features of these pieces to share below! The Biege Corset Dress (110SD's) was also a super popular piece, I love the neutral colour and design, but the full skirting makes it not such an everyday piece - it looks pretty cute with the Ribbed Sleeves (66SD's) beige sweater on top, I love the design of this piece with the knit pattern and the colour, but really don't have the creativity to style it myself. The Feather Lace Body (86SD's) also stands out as a fun piece, not for me to wear, but I think the sleeves look amazing! And the last outfit to talk about, the Big Sleeve Top (89SD's) and the V Red Skirt (86SD's) which to me don't really work well together, but separately I think they're much better and can have their individual design elements highlighted. The Skirt has a great colour, and on the doll I think the V waistline looks really nice, the length of the skirt is also very nice, while the oversizing of the Top isn't so much my thing, I think the colour of blue paired with the gold pearls looks great. I've only seen one person take on this piece so far and would love to see more give it a try!

T S L T O P T H R E E
Chrystal Brooch Shoes | Roman Style Dress | Purple Croc Bag
My favourite three pieces from this release were easy to pick out - they are classics, and maybe with the bag a classic with a twist - love the designs of all of these and I think they will be super fun and lasting in stylings =D

F E A T U R E S
Starting off this long set of features is Mery.- styling up the Purple Croc Bag in just the coolest way! I love the little elements of purple splashed through the look, it's subtle but works well to highlight the bag. This brown skirt looks fab with the bag, and I think it's a surprisingly good fit with this bustier top, both working well to tie in the with bag. Loving all the gold in the accessories too which also work well with that little detail on the bag - so perfect^
Next up we have laaaaPretty wearing the Suite Cape, which was styled on one of the male looks but is completely versatile for anyone to wear - and looks fantastic here! Despite an all black styling, the piece stands out well, especially against the more matte style of the top, but balances well with the equally-sheeny trousers, I love it =) The accessories are super glamorous, just beautiful!
We have two looks with the Roman Style Dress now, this first one is from laurenboy who just looks so elegant and stunning, so much love for this! The details on the dress carry this look and shows you don't need to add anything but some accessories to look amazing - love the chunky gold in the necklace and bracelet but also the introduction of silver with the clutch and the heels, the mixed metals looks great with this piece I think =D
Also in the Roman Style Dress is harpie, showing that layering with clothing is possible with this piece, the navy long sleeved top fits well and the dress still stands out in the styling, it's all that draping! I love the addition of a separate brooch at the waist gathering, this one is super glam and stand out, plus the colours are perfect with the dress^ Simple accessories in the rest of the styling are perfect, I especially love these earrings, super stylish!
In the next look jualvesdoll styles up the Heart Clutch Neon which is an interesting addition to the collection, but it certainly looks amazing here and stands out in the styling perfectly! The gold/yellow colour of the piece stands out beautifully against the baby blue, they're such complementary colours to each other, and the outfit is perfectly finished with matching blue shoes (I love this combination so much!) and fabulously layered gold necklaces, earrings and bracelet - so great^
Brevis is styling up a number of pieces in this Spring/Autumn look - the GC Bootpants, Gray Tie and Limited Chocker which make for a great combination^ I really like the texture of the coat with the boots, I think it actually works pretty well and the white colour brings a lighter vibe to the styling, and also loving the belt there, a perfect addition and the gold buckle detail plays well with the necklace detail. I'd for sure be excited to see this and other variations in the Autumn =)
And ending with two looks featuring the Chrystal Pants - this first one is from Bianca.Vos who looks super sleek and evening-event ready with this black and silver styling, I love it, it's completely up my street! The look also includes the Chrystal Hoop Earrings. The length of the trousers is great with these heels, plus love the shine on the heels as well and the rest of the accessories are, overall, super fitting. Also loving the choosing of an oversized jacket, this used to be one of my favourites and the look reminds me to wear it again, the oversizing looks great with the trousers and is very trendy at the moment^
And the final styling, also using the Chrystal Pants, is from AURA and is super light in contrast to the first styling above - they're so versatile! I love them with these light shoes, again the length of the trousers is great for showing off a good shoe choice^ This pink furry jacket is a wonderful piece, again one of my favourites, I love the texture difference between it and the trousers, and I think the pink is great with the silver! Simple jewellery finishes off the look, and the beauty styling is perfection for it as well =D

S T Y L I N G S
And last but not least, time for my stylings! First up the Chrystal Brooch Shoes which I found so easy to style, and such a beautiful piece, I can't wait to wear them again already. The neutral colour is versatile and works well with some of my other neutral-coloured versatile pieces, I think this look is super obvious for me =D I accessorised minimally to try and make sure the focus was on the brooch detail of the shoes, these earrings fit in seamlessly to the styling colours and I love this Gucci-esque bag, I think the colouring is perfect for the look^ Next up is the Purple Croc Bag which I found unbelievably difficult to style, I think I must have been trying out looks for an hour to get something - this isn't perfect by any means, but I think it's not a bad start for the piece. I love the bag with brown tones, especially this skirt, so I think I will work on my pairings beyond that for the look. I love this pink and purple glasses combination with the bag too, I think it's so cute and balances the bag colour well in the styling. The trickiest part was finding good shoes, I just had nothing perfect for any of the looks I came up with! And lastly the Bamboo Handle Bag which I thought would have been harder to style, but actually it was a super easy one, I had so many options for it. The little big of beige colouring on the bag works well with a beige bottom-half (of which I have plenty!) and I loved highlighting the dark brown trim of the bag with this pretty top. Simple matching accessories finished the look, and I really love it! I think I'll try some more creative styles with this one next time and work with some reds, blues and greens to highlight those accents of the design - I'm quite unexpectedly excited by this piece!

N E L L Y | Styled Outfits

We recently got a couple of new floors of NELLY in the Plaza, it feels like it's been soooo long since an update in this store and usually I've found some great pieces in this one, so they had me excited^ These pieces are styles for the Summer months and many come with the trends we've been seeing all over the place in RL, and overall everything feels very Nelly to me! But most of the styles aren't so much to my own style, I don't like a lot of the trends going around currently, so for me most of the clothing pieces were a 'pass' - I do like some of the styles, but then the colour of sit of the fabric wasn't something I liked on my doll, but nevermind, we can't love everything and I think my SD balance is grateful for that! I did pick out a few pieces though and for me they really shine through in the store =D
First up is the Puff Sleeve Top (180SC's) which really stood out in the store for it's gorgeous purple colour, it's so cute! The design is of course also cute, and a very popular one at the moment so I'm quite happy to have something like this in my wardrobe. The colour was a little more difficult to work with than I'd anticipated, but you can never go wrong with white, especially in the Summer, and I think this smart skirt works really well with the piece. Trousers will also look good with this top, but I think skirts give perfect Summer feels. Of course I had to choose some purple shoes, these feathered heels are a great colour-match for the top and add some glamour to the look. The purple sunglasses have made a visit too, I can't resist them at all^ And I love these cute floral white earrings, they really pop in the look I think! Next up is the Straw Tote Bag (15SD's) which I loved as soon as I saw it in the store, what a perfect Summer accessory =D I think this is quite a 'classic me' outfit, these trousers are great with the bag, the colour just fits perfectly with the patch and straps on the bag so I had to wear them (note: I did try other looks, I just loved this one the best!), and this ruffled top is a beautiful Summer piece to style, I got a lot of wear from it last year and I know this year will be the same. Simple but effective with the rest of the accessories to really let the bag have the spotlight^ And finally is the Throw On White Jacket (21SD's), I love jackets in this style as I find them really easy to wear and this light white-beige is a perfect addition to my collection as it's a lot softer than some of the bright white pieces I already have. It has an oversized fit which I think I would size down when I style it next time for a slightly more neater look, but overall I think it's a great piece and worth the price tag. I opted for a bright look with these orang trousers and matching shoes the colour pops and really brings your attention to the styling, including the jacket. The simple top works well with the rest of the combination, and the little orange accessories are a great finishing touch, I especially love how these hoop earrings look in the styling =)

D U A L I P A C H R Y S T A L H E E L S

I was very kindly given the Young Hollywood Dua Lipa Chrystal Heels by a friend, so of course had to style these fabulous shoes up! They're such a cool pair of shoes and ever so glamorous, I particularly love the colour combination of the metallic pink and the deep red heel, it's so cool^ I think they have the chance to be such a versatile heel, but I've really not shown that in my all pink and red stylings, haha! They'll look so great with a white dress, or something with glitzy details. The first styling is my favourite, and I haven't taken it off since putting the look together - the pale pink all over really highlights the red and jewelled details in the shoes yet I think they fit in just perfectly. These trousers are a great length too to highlight a cool shoe. There's not much else to say, it just works so nicely together^ Next up something super dressy, it's a simple look but this red dress looks pretty fancy which is only elevated by the dressy-ness of the shoes. The red heel is again highlighted by the rest of the red, but I think the crystal design really pops. The final look is a bit of a combination between the first two, featuring both red and pink, this won't be to everyones taste, but I think it's not too bad! These pink trousers are similar to the first pair, just a little more slim-fitting, the colour is spot on with the pink sole of the shoes. The coat is a little wintery, but has cute details that really stand out and give the outfit an interesting vibe - I think the colour does look great with pink as it's not a super bright red. The glasses aren't my favourite, something more muted would have been better but this was the only choice I had and we were lacking accessories here; I also think the bag choice could have been better, I do like the overall style of this bag and the colour is perfect for what I was wanting, I just don't like how the silver chain really stands out against the coat - so I'm on the hunt for an alternative!
