Off With Your Head

Happy Hallowe'en everyone!

I don't have any plans for this year, but I felt like dressing up anyway. I've gone for a fashion-y gothic sort of take on the Queen of Hearts from Alice in Wonderland.
Jam tarts, more red roses than you can shake a stick at and a tantrum-inducing sense of entitlement are the most important accessories in this look...

We Wear Hotbuys O C T O B E R | Designer Brouge Booties

And now our final October HB which was released a couple of days early at the end of last week. These are the Designer Brouge Booties from Fallen Angel priced at 17SD's, which is quite reasonable for them considering they really won't be to everyones tastes! They're a little too heavy for my liking, but I do like the golden details on them. I think some people will manage to style these really nicely, don't think it will be me though - when it comes to flat shoes, I panic immediately!
Ok so not too much panic required for this one, I think once I got in my mind that these boots are mostly gold it got a little easier and I am pleased with the outcome of my look, even though they'll never be my favourite shoe! Mostly darker styles going on for these boots, the denim jacket definitely stands out amongst the looks there though! And vote in the poll for this final October HB:

Ruching

This styling is spot on for winter with the black and sheeny shine and the bright winter florals, and it's worn by maria_lh! I love the just slight split in the skirt, it opens up to show off the slouched patent boots really nicely and they really attracted me to the styling along with their matching to this oversized puffa jacket. Also loving the piling up of the belts, I think they look great and add a contrasting style to the more feminine skirt =D

Blushing rose

As the month is storming towards the end, I am posting my last looks. This new coat in Starplaza is an absolute vision and it's impossible not to create a look with it. For me it is a perfect shade of pink. For accessories I am playing around with roses today.

My look:
Pink Long Crepe Coat / Pretty in Pink // Acne Studios Inspired Top / Runway // 9to5 Pastry Chef Shirt / 9to5 // Buckled Belt / Rio // Micro Studded Belt / Facebook Login Gift // Strand of Pearls / Sweet Suites // Simple White Denim / IT Girls // Blush Round Handbag / Pretty in Pink // White Couture Heels / Callie's Picks // Flower Hat / Callie's Picks // Sweet White Bouttonniere / Voile //

T I N G E L I N G H A L L O W E E N C O U T U R E | Styled By You / / Styled By Me

Last week brought us a brand new release of Tingeling Halloween Couture and while I've been quite pleased with these in the past, I was disappointed this time around. It was very much more halloween themed than couture and I felt like there was a lack of easily-wearable pieces or even accessories that could work in a range of styles, and I feel like this was universal across members. I have spotted a few stylings and decided a Styled post would work out better for this store than a review!
Features First up here we have Mia1435 wearing the Double Breasted Electric Jacket and matching Electric Tuxedo Pants. It may be a minimal styling but it is effective and that suit does all the talking with it's bold colour and crossed patterning on it. The black base is good, I like the same texture on the bag and it's a fab fit for the clothes. Plus look at those piercing eyes with the matching blue makeup - fabulous =D
And our second feature - you can never be disappointed with pandaribbon styling up all the latest releases and this was no exception, the store really looks wearable in these stylings! These looks make use of the Spider Body Necklace and the Spider Web Chain Dress and both of them stand out well making beautiful couture-styled looks! The mannequin is styled with a cool printed body beneath the chain, which is really effective, and then on the doll, there's a lot of sheer going on with shine, this maxi dress is fantastic with the jewels!
Styled Outfits So for me the only piece I would consider buying was the Double Breasted Electric Jacket and as you can see I did^ I don't think it looks quite so good without the Electric Tuxedo Pants but I gave it a good go! In my first look I tried a different printing, but I really like the sheer skirting with the bold colour of the blazer. I stuck with a black base, in both the looks, which I think is an effective way to go with this piece^ In the second look I used these shiny trousers and the checks on them match the blazer pretty well. Also stuck with black base and I really like the texture and feel of these boots with the look ... and also the earrings, I think they really draw attention to the top half of the look with the blazer =)

Red and navy

Getting our burst of red for the week in this feature today from lolitka1444 =) Navy and red are classic colours to combine and this look is no exception, expanding from the wrapped top tones into the length of the skirt which has great pinstripes to compliment the stripes on the top - I love it! I also love the long navy sleeves, but what I love even more is also the use of black as skirting underneath and also in the meshed shoulder, it stands out and also fits in perfectly with the style! The red boots fit well with the rest of the look, as do the rest of the accessories, such a great job!

Bag It Up Challenge #210

Getting a little more into the colder weather with this next challenge styling - wearing the Mini Crossover Chain Bag from Nelly which is a bit of an older piece, but I think it should be easy enough to find in the Bazaar^ I've really not put much focus into wearing or styling this piece before, I'm not sure why as it's versatile enough being black, and I like the chain detailing of the strap and on the bag itself, it should be an easy one to style and it was for this look today! I paired it with a lot of black pieces, but I think it stands out with the silver chain. I've kept a little silver on the hoop of the belt and I think it looks just right - I'm quite happy I didn't add more. This sweater adds a warm brightness to the look which I like and think it's fitting to the overall style and made a good base for a pretty lip colour^ Overall I'm pretty happy with this one!

Flirty flippy

This is the cutest pink autumnal styling and it's coming to you from the fashion-forward Mia1435 =) I love this knee-length flippy-style skirt which is sweet and feminine all over and the style and design of the piece is so current^ The high boots bring the warmer feel to the skirt and I like the contrast between the light material of the skirt, the velvet of the boots and then the even heavier jacket in a popular design. The gold frames stand out nicely and the beret is a classic addition for current times!

It's a Man's World

I always get a little excited when there's a release for Mr.
The pieces are usually pretty good and throw up shape problems that need to be solved creatively. Some of my favourite looks feature interesting stylings of Mr. pieces that I might not have considered wearing before and have and effortlessly cool vibe.

This oversized, lumpy jumper is just the bees knees. Dark blue is such a lovely winter alternative to black, but just as classic. Proportionally, this jumper is difficult, but rolling up jeans to a cropped length and over extending the sleeves helps to lengthen the limbs to match the width of the body. I'm also jumping on the beret trend at last but with a little extra embellishment...

I've also gone for one of my favourite trends - casual sequins. It's a great way to elevate casual street style to something a little fancier.

We Wear Hotbuys O C T O B E R | Moss Green Chloe Inspired Bag

Getting close to the end of this months HB's and they sure have been stretched out across the month! This is the Moss Green Chloe Inspired Bag from Bizou costing 23SD's. I love this style of Chloe bag and I think it's a popular one across the Stardoll members too so I think it will be a popular choice. I also love the colour of it, the deep olive green tone is perfect for this season and I really do think it will last - I'm excited to wear this piece a lot!
This is one piece that is a dream for resizing - it looks good both bigger and smaller as we've shown and it's a good piece to add too, I can see it getting a lot of use in some cool creative combinations in the near future! I really liked working with this piece and found it easy to style, a pretty decent HB I'd say =D And remember to vote in the poll as always:

Suite Style

Contemporary cool in this suite feature today, coming to you from Ivana_Styles - I love it^ The blues are great tones in this marble/concrete/mirrored maven and it's definitely not too much having all the different pieces. The furry seat pairs nicely to the rug, as does it's wire frame with the table - the geometric shapes add a point of interest to the room. The fireplace might seem somewhat out of place against the colder tones of blue, but it definitely catches your eye and makes an interesting focus for adding a few pieces to turn this into a winter-based room. I really like the overall minimal designing here =D

Bag It Up Challenge #209

I have to admit, I wasn't looking forward to styling this bag, it's been sitting there for ages waiting to be done, and I was quite ready to get rid of it and forget about it - but I'm glad I persevered as I like this outfit^ This is the VOILE Viola Purse which is pretty old and if you're interested, you can still get it! It's a fairly neutral piece, you'd think being a white based bag that I would like it, but something has put me off in the styling, maybe it's the shape? I really like the brown wooden handles and so focused on that as my colour, and went super neutral and beige-y in my styling and I'm pleased! I think I wear these beige pieces a lot, but they look good together and also with this bag. I picked out some different accessories to my usual ones and think these look great and stand out nicely. I also went with a brown lip colour - how fancy for me^ But I like it, again it suits my doll and also the styling =D

Mix n Match

Good evening to all of you lovely readers of the Stardoll Lookbook! I am back again with another look and today I'm playing with skirts. I've had both of these skirts in my wardrobe for a while now, but have had a really hard time coming up with looks with both of them. So I decided to work with both of them, since they seem to match really well with each other.

My look:
Pastry Chef Shirt / 9to5 // Jaime Melange Tshirt / Bonjour Bizou // Classic Crossover Skirt Red / Basics // Printed Midi Skirt / Pearls // Chain Necklace / Fallen Angel // Dior Inspired Belt / Fallen Angel // Ruby Red Clutch / Voile // Aquazzura Inspired Powder Puff Heels / Tributes

Desert retro

I love the vibes from this look, I'm getting all sorts of things like retro and ready for winter and even desert stylings with the use of that coat from juliette116 today! I like how all of the pieces have come together, let's start at the bottom of all those layers - the knitwear is a good base, and it doesn't come across as too chunky with all those pieces on top of it. I really like pairing the matching vest and trousers and the belts have been used so well to emphasise the two pieces, love the over-and-under-vest wear of them and also the bag, it's the cutest right where it is^ This coat is somewhat of a forgotten piece which I utterly failed to wear well but it looks awesome here and I love that a backpiece has been hand-crafted for it!

B A G G Y M A R L S W E A T E R

This Styled Outfit look includes a piece I've owned since it's release but not styled since then! This is the Baggy Marl Sweater from Original Future which came out over a year and a half ago. I liked it initially but struggled to put it into looks - being a sweater and being sweater weather I thought now was a good time to try it out again.
I did struggle putting together these stylings, I really had to look through my whole wardrobe to be happy with the pieces and even then I think there are ways to wear this sweater better =) I do typically go with at least one black or white clothing look, which is tricky in trying to style a winter look with a blue, not navy, light blue piece. I did get them both in, but I do think the sweater looks best in my middle look with these spangling navy trousers! The pointed shoes keep some class, and actually I like this styling, I think it works and it's just missing a little bag - but I couldn't find the perfect one. And then obviously tried out my classic combinations making good use of boots to keep both the looks seasonal. With the white I went light with these lace hemmed trousers, pairing them with a shirt under the sweater and also a blazer, maybe going a little over the top, but it was a bit all or nothing! I did keep the accessories blue, which I'm happy with and I really like this style with the sweater. Lastly my black-based styling which I think is the one which works out the least, this shade of blue - I gave it a good go with the layering, but overall this one isn't working out ... 2 out of 3 isn't bad but I think someone must be able to work with this sweater better than me^

Suite Style

This city brick-themed bedroom with some subtle orange and halloween-y vibes is so right for the current time, and it was styled by Bay_watch11 - someone who is pretty good on the decor front! The bedroom is light with minimal furniture chosen, the pieces there work really nicely together, and I especially love the set-up of the bed with the cushions and the cute bedside tables with their decorations. The brick wall stands out and draws attention to the shelving decor, it all looks great and the plant adds a pretty and fresh feel =)

Nordic vibes

For today's post I'm rocking grey colour. It kind of turned out to be more wintery than I had first planned but no surprise here, it's almost November and I am slowly getting those winter feels.

My look:
French Barret / Pearls // Chic Two Tone Earrings / Bonjour Bizou // Detail Earring / Nelly // Thick Grey Knit Scarf / Double Breasted Glencheck Blazer / Royalty // Draped Minimalist Dress / Subcouture // Shredded YSL Inspired Tights / Yves Saint Laurent Tribute // Gold Sequins Pochette / Rio // Layer Boot Hide / Cheap Monday

Bag It Up Challenge #208

So I've definitely worn this skirt in a challenge post before, but I really liked it in this styling with my next piece, the Hotbuys Balenciaga Inspired Raffia from Bizou which really isn't an old piece at all, but one I've found myself already tucking away in my wardrobe not to use again! It's not really a classic piece in terms of styling, but it has some good features that could make it an interesting one to style. I focused on the patent panel with the straps and matched my shoes to it, which I think makes them stand out nicely in the look while keeping the rest of the clothing matte. This skirt gives a sleek and stylish look to the outfit but the sweater really cools it down, I like the style contrast with this. And what about some yellow earrings - I think they matched the interior more than the outfit, but a cute addition^

Trimmings

Yet another cool and creative styling of the VINYL Levis Vintage Inspired Belted Denims this time from ajenkam and bringing a light flouncy touch to them - they look like a completely different piece!! Without seeing the dark belt and tighter waist of the jeans, they look like a light loose style which is continued in the use of the white meshed tights, which I love, and the silver heels along with the loose white shirt - it's all great! The blue of the coat and the bright pink pop of the stole look amazing, brightening the look and really catching your eye. I also love the little slice of the bag you can see tucked in the coat. And the decor, it's a cute stylish seating area^

Graffiti Tweed Trousers | Styled By You / / Styled By Me

This styling from alicevel is amazingly cool combining a host of patterns with the checks of the Royalty Double Breasted Glencheck Blazer and then the diagonal tweed pattern on the LE Graffiti Tweed Trousers which came out close to 3 years ago now! The accessories are spot on, love the pompom shoes adding both colour and flair and also the blue in the bag as well as the cool-girl vibe from the sunglasses. I decided that, even though this look was amazing for the blazer we all love, that I wanted to make use of it's styling of these trousers because they really seem a bit forgotten. Yes they do have a somewhat unideal shape to them, they're low slung on the hips and have a bit of an awkward longer length but I still think they're pretty cool^
I went with a pretty standard 'me' look for my styling, all this black just suits the trousers and makes the tweed stand out, however from the feature we can see that that's not always necessarily the case and other patterns work too! I went with red for my accessories, these shoes are absolutely spot on for the style of the trousers and I think they're a perfect match ... in fact it reminds me of when I last wore these trousers as I'm pretty sure I wore red with them then too but I just can't find the styling on the blog! I found these trousers pretty easy to style and was quite quickly able to find several items in my wardrobe that worked nicely with them, so they're definitely worth a shot and I'll need to remember them over this autumn/winter period for styling as they'll be perfect =D

Bag It Up Challenge #207

This pair of bags were just made for each other - they're both Hotbuys, they're focused on gold and they're heart shaped, so much to love about these pieces!!! First up on the left is the older piece, the Hotbuys Gold Heart Purse which I got from Pretty 'N Love way back in December 2009 ... yes, I've seriously had this bag for almost 8 years! It's not been completely neglected in that time, I have worn it a few times but there have been struggles with it too^ This time, the bag kinda came second the the look, I'd paired the dungarees with the shirt and liked the gold accent so decided to continue with it and along came the bag and shoes and I'm quite happy with it. It's not really an autumn look, but I like the styling overall. And then the second bag, the Hotbuys Falabella Heart Bag which came out in 2016 and I have to say it's definitely a piece I've enjoyed making use of since I got it, so not a hidden bag in my wardrobe in the slightest! But I love this styling for it - going into it I had decided on black and a skirt or dress, this maxi piece has a pretty gold trim at the top, which I liked with the bag, but ended up covering it in favour of a warmer style with a polo - I still like it though, love the style overall, I think the maxi skirt adds such a stylish vibe to the outfit and I like my little additional touches of gold in the belt and sunglasses =)

Blouson

Sleek and smart and styling today from Marbum wearing an all black look that is on trend and also full of details^ I really like these blouson style sleeves, they look cool and add an interesting shape - but the look is still kept slimming with the belt around the waist. It's cool to see a slightly more casual sweater styled really well with this floral lace skirt, the pair look great together and are a very complimentary pair^ So I already mentioned the belt but the rest of the accessories look fab too, the dinky bag is a great choice and the minimal heels work out nicely. Plus yet another beret!

Brown sentimentality

There are moments in life when I feel very sentimental and nostalgic about certain things. As days are getting colder every day, I cannot stop thinking about the warmer days we had. This look is inspired by those mixed nostalgic feelings. To give nostalgic vibes, I've brought in golden tones with ashy brown shades and 70s inspired pants.

My look:
Detail earring / Nelly // Floweral Brocade Skirt / Bonjour Bizou // Long Collared Shirt / PPQ // Faux Python Belt / Wild Candy // Jessica Alba Teen Choice Pants / Young Hollywood // Lady D Bag / It GIrls // Hot Buys Mini Aviator Sunglasses / Original Future // Gold Tendril Belt / Voile

H O T B U Y S R E V I S I T E D | October 2016

And now revisiting our Hotbuys from October 2016! I think overall these were pretty decent and there's at least a couple of pieces I really like and have had so much wear out of - the Kick Flare Pants are amazing and one of the best Hotbuys from last year, but I did also get wear out of the High Neck Sweater which is a decent and versatile piece. I think I had reasonable choice for deciding which of the Hotbuys to re-style, now I did the YSL Inspired Bag fairly recently as part of the Bag It Up Challenge so that left me with working with the Star Dress and the Multi Fringe Vest for this post, and I think it was pretty fun =D
I liked working with these pieces again and putting together these looks! I did find the dress a little tricky to work with, and while I like this look, with the stars looking super delicate on the skirting, I think this dress has so much potential ... I just haven't found it, hopefully someone else has =D Red seems to be my go-to with this dress, I think I could branch out and try something else^ And then for the vest I absolutely adore this styling, it's one of my favourites that I have done recently! These boots were a must for me when working with the vest, it has so many colours that there are so many options and the pastel pink was the one I wanted to work with this time, so I used that in the shoes, bag and belt. I made myself a midi skirt with a couple of pairs of trousers and love the outcome that this has had, it looks great against the pastel pink and also with the mix of colours in the vest - I'm pleased with this! Kept the blouse minimal with everything else that's going on, but it works well I think^

Red underneath

Red is such a popular colour especially with the season right now, so why not wear from your neck to your toes like dm2udm2u^ I'm still liking the split leg style, so this black dress is right on in the trend and this look does a good job in highlighting that without being revealing by using the red tight-boots, which look pretty awesome here (I know I'd never be able to pull them off!) and also the red polo. What I really liked was the additional top with the longer sleeves and the ruffled-off-shoulder style that they have too, it adds a nice little detail to the outfit. The Gucci bag is such a nice choice, I really like it here, it's one piece I regret not buying. And of course this look also makes use of the popular beret!

We Wear Hotbuys O C T O B E R | Bowler Inspired Hat

Ok so this next Hotbuy I'm not so sure of ... the Bowler Inspired Hat from Fallen Angel costing 13SD's. If you've even seen a fraction of my stylings you'll know I'm just not a hat person, I have a few but really don't make any use of them regularly, so this one isn't for me despite it being in a versatile black colour and a fairly neutral design - it will go down well with the hat-regulars, just not me!
We've really all taken our own directions with this piece, so it is a pretty versatile one in terms of style. While we've got a lot of black clothing going on, there are some colours in there and really anything could work with this piece. Despite not being a hat wearer, I managed to make the styling pretty quickly! Remember to vote in the poll as well:

Simple smart

This is another smart styling that is spot on for autumn with it's trends and vibes and it's coming to you today from 3melekbir_arada! These jeans, despite their cropped bootleg fit and slightly rough hem, look pretty smart but I think that's to do with the overall styling - it's totally selling these as an awesome pair of versatile jeans to me though^ The neat black blazer and these pointed plus ruffled black boots frame the denim really well, and the polo is the perfect base. Love the accessories, the gold on the belt and the bag fit nicely with the glasses and the pinky-red on the bag pops beautifully^

Hotbuys Palazzo Pants | Styled By You / / Styled By Me

Quite a few weeks ago now I spotted this look from bloom_xx_layla and knew I wanted to feature it, not for the cool use of the RUNWAY shoes, but for these awesome Hotbuys Palazzo Pants which came out earlier this year. They've really not had much focus from anyone since then and they totally deserve it =D And this was therefore the perfect opportunity for me to give them some focus too (and I've worn them quite a few other times now too^).
So I love the resizing and cropping of them to show off the fishnets and the red pointed shoes in the feature, it works well for both pieces. The black blazer looks good too, I don't mind the slight black/blue clash. And the red is continued in the shirt, I like that it's just little bits here and there you can see, and also the bag. The belted waist adds great shape to the look and I think this is spot on for autumnal style. For my look I went with my go-to navy polo but definitely spruced up the styling by choosing the super bright vest, not a regular choice for me when there's a big print going on, but I like the outcome and I like the longer wider legs paired with the longer length that the vest has. And I really wanted to try out the orange/red clash for myself, as the print on these trousers is somewhere between the two colours and I don't mind the outcome so much ... but to choose between the colour, I'd definitely go with the vest again!

Big bloom

Big and bold with shapes and colours in France25's look for this feature today! This small floral piece has been made into a humungous floral belt and it totally works in catching your eye, you certainly wouldn't ignore it walking down the street^ I love it combined with the oversized shoulders of the white top, the two compliment each other really well. The rest of the clothing has been chosen well around these colours, the classic black, white and red works nicely. I like the loose culotte style with the oversized pieces and also the boots, love that trend^ Also love the bag, such a cool modern choice for the styling!

Spicy mustard

Today's look is a total fall classic with mustardy colours. The star of the look is this oversized sweater. It's a too bit baggy, but tucked into jeans like this makes it perfectly slouchy. Also with this look I am bringing back the Hot Buys High Neck Designer Shirt, which is my absolute favourite new classic.

My look:
Detail Earring / Nelly // Hot Buys High Neck Designer Shirt / Pretty n Love // Oversized Mustard Knitted Sweater / Vinyl // Tanned Thin Belt / Pretty n Love // Bianca Gold Neckscarf / Decades // Lady D Bag / It Girls // Strand of Pearls / Sweet Suites // Hot Buys Hoop on Hoop Earrings right / Pretty n Love // Simple White Denim / It Girls // Architect Nude Shoes / 9to5

D O U B L E B R E A S T E D G L E N C H E C K B L A Z E R

So this blazer, the Royalty Double Breasted Glencheck Blazer and other similar pieces have been all the rage for the past few months now both in RL trends and on Stardoll, I think it's quite possible that everyone has one! So so so many people have been styling these types of blazer and I've featured quite a few and had to skip over some because I could probably fill a good few weeks with purely checked blazer features! Finally it's my turn to style this one, and actually it's been on my list to style really since shortly after it's release - initially I was unsure how I'd get on with it, but putting together these stylings was easy and quick, it's a clear winner!
I went with both a light and dark styling, and think there's plenty of opportunity to come to test this piece out with a range of colours and vibes, for right now these looks are spot on for me^ I also enjoyed putting together a makeup look for these looks, I based it more on the darker styling, choosing burgundies and greys with a little bit of a dull lilac and I think this is such a cute combination. For the light look I love this split white skirt with the blazer, the two pieces fit perfectly and I love the way the skirt texture sits, I think it looks great with the blazer. A white shirt was an easy choice, I like this Hotbuys one with the gold pin adding some detail. I picked white accessories and think they look good, completely loving this Dior bag with this look and in general right now, I'd wear this again with the blazer =) And then my second look is of a darker nature, and the dark colours really highlight the darker tones of the blazer. Bringing out one of my favourite trends from last year, pairing culottes with boots, I still love it and I love it with this blazer. It's a pretty simple look really, but totally loving the deep purple tones with the blazer print, and it's worth more exploration!

Dotted

A cool and modern vibe in this feature from nicki_-_-minaj today =D I really liked the use of this unusual dotted blazer, the yellow definitely stands out and draws you into the look - and this office-wear-chic definitely works out nicely! The layered shirts look great and are fitting with some current trends, this one has been put together really nicely, I like the longer chiffon hem and the use of the tied golden accent belt, which fits in nicely with the bag and it's golden handle plus the earrings. The trousers are fabulous with their zipped hem which helps highlight the pointed toe boots, it's all great =D

Bag It Up Challenge #206

This look is looking almost a little too wintery for October, whoops^ Anyways, this next bag for the challenge is the Fringe Bag from the Ralph Lauren section of Nelly which I bought rather a long time ago and have never worn and following this styling I know I won't again so it'll be going to the Bazaar! I went with an all-black look for this one as I was a little stumped as to how to make it look special in an outfit. I like the dress length with the bag, but it's not hugely unique. While I think it's nice enough I don't think the look makes the bag the focal point and I think that the bag itself maybe wasn't made with it being a focal point in mind ... just not my style this time!

Earth Laughs in Flowers

I know it's not very season appropriate, but I was feeling rather floral and this headdress is just so pleasingly dramatic!

Seeing as it's October, I'm feeling a bit Hallowe'en-y too, hence all the skulls. I was going to use the Tingeling Hallowe'en Couture skull bag, but I wanted to keep up with all the pops of pink. Instead I've hobbled my own creation together by floating suite items on top of my doll in what I hope is an attractive arrangement. It's nice to make yourself a bag that no one else has got, especially when you struggle to accessorise as much as I do!

M R | Styled By You / / Styled By Me

At the end of last week our latest Plaza release was 2 new floors of Mr. so while this doesn't hugely impress me one piece in particular stood out to me, and I think it stood out to everyone else too! The Gathered Sleeve Sweatshirt is an oversized navy sweatshirt with standout grey and white stripes around the bottom and sleeves and some very cool fringing elements to the sleeves - a lot of things which are stylish right now and I can see, despite the price, which it's been purchased by so many people! I think this is definitely an interesting addition to my wardrobe =)
Features So many people have been styling this sweater, but these 3 looks in particular caught my eye. First up AvrilkaTH13 has gone in a lighter direction, choosing velvet pink boots, which I think is a lovely surprise pairing, and keeping up the femininity with the frilled collar which looks pretty awesome. The necklace is another great addition and it breaks up the heavy block of navy in the style. This bag is a perfect one for the sweater^ Secondly hankipankidoni going darker, choosing a pair of loose leg trousers, I like the navy against the black and the tags on the trousers match the sweater really nicely. And no scrimping on the frills here either, using them on the socks this time which looks nice with these pointed shoes. Really like the hat and earrings with this one too^ And thirdly tolady, again wearing the sweater as a dress but choosing black thigh-high boots in a more classic styling for this piece. The black colour is continued in the cross-body bag, the style of which I think is perfect for this sweater, and also in the hat, a popular style addition these days! I like the touch of the single earring too, the little bit of red looks nice against the colours of the look =D
Styled Outfit Now I don't think I've styled this sweater nearly as well as any of these features above, but I gave it a good go, it's just a style I'm not 100% comfortable with in putting together! I went mostly with white pieces so the stripes on the sweater would stand out and with my first look that's the skinny trousers I picked. I did go for some blue accessories, but I don't know if these work out as well as the white pieces in my second look - I absolutely love these boots with the sweater which you'll have recently seen in my Plaza Picks post! These with the sweater is a combination I'd go for again. I struggled a little with white bags, nothing I had was quite what I had in mind but I think this one does the job for now =)
