W E S T W O O D P L A I D S K I R T | Styled By You / / Styled By Me

I'm not always the biggest fan of Strike-A-Pose releases, but one piece in particular from the last one caught my eye, the Westwood Plaid Skirt which is a sweet a-line skirt with a fun tartan of green, red and pink. When I spotted this look styled by Bianca.Vos I knew I needed to put together a little Styled By You / / Styled By Me post, because can't we all agree that this outfit for the skirt is amazing?! The almost-identical plaid shirt looks amazing with the skirt, and the green tie is a perfect colour match to combine the two pieces. That balances nicely with the socks and I think the addition of the brown tones is genius, really works perfectly with the shade of green. And the little chihuahua bag is so cute, love this finishing touch =) With my look I wanted to go with a pink theme, but didn't quite have anything in the right shade of pink from the plaid, so I relented and went with classic reds, which work perfectly with it to make a very 'me' look. I really like a square neckline with an a-line skirt like this, and I think the crossbody bag with the height right at the hem of the skirt really works wonderfully. I kept it pretty minimal on the accessories but I think these red options work nicely - next time pink for sure for me with this skirt though!

T H E J E T S E T | Styled Outfits

Apologies for the hiatus, life got in the way! Anyway, back with some looks from the last The Jet Set release - the release came out back in the Autumn, but I think it's a pretty good one for both AW and SS looks, there's a mix of colours, tones and patterns with some super light pastel shades that I'm looking forward to try in the Spring. First up here is the co-ord of the Pearl Sheer Top and Pants, a super cute set and I can't resist pearls! There is quite a lot of sheer to the pieces, but I found it easy to work with through layering, and for a Winter based look a coat was also a good addition. With the coat size I really like the little pops of pearl just peaking through there. I kept the accessories super simple, more pearls and also white, I think these balance the look well and suit the pieces really nicely too, especially the shoe and pant pairing^ And then I couldn't resist the Oversized Valentino Coat, really love this as a super stylish coat option - it's a great balance between a fitted item and something that's oversized, I love how the shape fits on the doll, and I don't think you can ever have too many pearls! I kept the clothing simple, I found the coat looks best without a shirt when paired with these trousers, so that's something I tried out. Then I added even more pearls in the accessories, honestly I think these boots just balance the shoulder pearls to perfection!
